The author wrote this book when she was in the sixth grade.

I chose to read this book because of the length of it.

When I first looked at the book cover it didn't make much sense to me, but after having read this book, I get it.

I am not into romance stories and I wished this book would have ended differently, but since K. Weikel wrote this in the sixth grade it's OK. It's also partially my fault because I did not read the book description.

My reading engagement was high throughout the entire story.

I did like the detail given about water dragons.

I did notice some typos, there were a few sentences where a word was missing, and the shift in POV required attention to detail, but those are the only flaws that I saw in the story.

This is one of the sweetest, but also most heartaching middle grade book I have read for a while. The paperback is short, coming in at around 80 pages, and I devoured it pretty quickly. We're following a girl who was cursed to become a dragon. She falls in love with the prince and they have to free her before he is married off to some other princess. The writing is juvenile because K. Weikel wrote this when she was very young, but that didn't even bother me. It added to the tone of the story. I cannot believe I put off reading this book for so long. It was amazing.

This was a fantastic book! I loved it so much. I think everyone who likes dragons should read it. It was a fast-paced, fun book to read. Even though it wasn't long, every page was so much fun to read.
