— Jane Doe, Bestselling Author and Advocate
In the world of professional sport, Tay-Leiha Clark is a bright and promising talent. But beneath the allure of fame and success lies a darker side few are willing to acknowledge.
What begins as a whirlwind romance with a charismatic football player quickly devolves into a nightmare of control, manipulation, and abuse. Trapped in a toxic relationship, Tay-Leiha finds herself silenced—not only by fear but by those who are supposed to protect her. Surrounded by people focused on maintaining the status quo, she is pressured to stay quiet to avoid scandal.
But Tay-Leiha refuses to accept this fate. When she finally gathers the strength to seek justice, she faces relentless opposition. The powerful figures protecting her abuser will stop at nothing to protect their own interests, resorting to deceit and manipulation in an attempt to bury the truth. Even after the abuse is exposed, the forces aligned against her remain determined to discredit her and erase her voice.
Despite this, Tay-Leiha refuses to back down. Armed with undeniable evidence, including recordings that expose the lengths to which those in power will go to protect their own, she takes on the system. As legal threats loom and powerful figures continue to fight her, Tay-Leiha faces a critical Will the truth set her free, or will the forces against her succeed in silencing her?
Through My Eyes is a courageous and inspiring story of survival, resilience, and the unyielding determination to expose the truth, no matter the cost.

Through My Eyes by Tay-Leiha Clark takes readers deep into the lived experiences and emotional toll of domestic abuse at the hands of a sporting star partner. This is not just a personal story, it is a powerful challenge to the systems that enabled the abuse and protected his image, while silencing and isolating the victim.

Tay’s abuser wasn’t protected out of ignorance, but because of his perceived value. Those who looked away, stayed silent, or framed her as the problem are rightfully called out. This book is about reclaiming her story and taking an important step toward healing.

Tay doesn’t shy away from the brutal reality of confronting trauma, revisiting painful memories, questioning self-worth, and facing internal battles head-on. She also highlights the exhausting fight beyond survival: the fight to leave, and the fight within the legal system.

This book reinforces a vital message: bad behaviour in any form should always be called out. Silence protects no one.

Tay, this message is directly to you. Your strength is truly inspiring, and your wisdom far exceeds your years. I hope that writing this book brought you some measure of healing and peace along the way.

This book broke my heart in ways I wasn’t prepared for. Hearing about the dark experiences Tay-Leiha Clark endured at such a young age, and the complete lack of support she received from those within male-dominated sporting organisations, was absolutely horrendous. Through My Eyes stands as a testament to her strength, courage, and resilience during a time when the media played a critical role in shaping public perception throughout her case.

What impacted me most is that despite everything, Tay continues to fight against the deep-rooted misogyny embedded in the sporting world. Her commitment to pushing for safer environments, stronger support systems, and genuine accountability is not only admirable but necessary.

This book is a crucial read for everyone, especially young women and men who may find themselves in similar environments. It is raw, brave, and deeply important ❤️

An essential read for everyone. My heart broke a million times over reading about her ongoing trauma and the abuse she suffered at the hands of a monster. Tay Clark also offers a rare insight into the insidiousness of male-dominated sports and the blatant misogyny of the media. Despite everything, her resolve to remain positive and to advocate for change within the very spaces that failed her so profoundly is nothing short of inspiring.
