The Legacy of Copper Creek

Rate this book
When Love Walks Through the Door...

Like all MacKenzie men, Whit respects three things: hard work, his family, and the wild beauty of the Montana land he calls home. The solitude of the high country is a welcome respite to a loner like Whit. So when a powerful spring snowstorm hits as he's tending the herd, Whit heads to one of the family's isolated cabins. The cold winds don't trouble him. The gorgeous mystery woman waiting inside does.

All Cara Walton wanted was a chance to clear her head. And the forgotten cabin on the outskirts of the MacKenzie ranch seemed like the perfect place to do just that—until Whit arrives. The rugged cowboy quickly melts Cara's defenses and she's powerless to resist his strong arms or his tender touch. She desperately wants to trust him, but there's so much Whit doesn't know, so much she hasn't told him. She lost everything once—can she find the courage to risk her heart again?

Please note: We had two reviewers read this book, and their opinions varied a little. As such, our star rating is an approximate average of the two. That's books, right?

Alright, I am truly convinced that R.C. Ryan is a gift sent from the cowboy gods. This is the third book in the Copper Creek series and it is just as delicious as the other two....which is hard to say with most books later on in a series. Ms. Ryan's cowboys make me swoon hard. Whit, Whit, Whit. How do I love thee? So much.

We meet Cara, holed up in the Mackenzie cabin, on the run from "someone." Let the mystery and lust begin!!

"Dreams are never foolish. They're what feed our souls."

Whit Mackenzie: wise, hard working cowboy and expert skillet taters maker.

I loved getting deeper in to the lives of the people at Copper Creek. They feel so genuine and loving. Every one of them. No matter what life throws at them (and they have been through the wringer), they all pull through together and come out stronger. I want to randomly stumble on to this Montana ranch!!!

With a perfect mix of suspense, love and a lot of down home cookin,' Whit's story needs to be on your cowboy TBR list! ~ Krissy, 5 stars

I cannot resist a good cowboy book, and I’ve really enjoyed this series so far. Getting Whit’s book, and some answers (finally!) had me all a-flutter. The Legacy of Copper Creek hooked me fast and early…

Finding a beautiful stranger in his family’s isolated cabin in the middle of a heavy spring snowstorm wasn’t what Whit MacKenzie was expecting when he went looking for some solitude. Neither was hearing her mysterious, and frankly unbelievable, tale. But there’s something about Cara Walton that draws Whit in…

Cara is determined to start over, but with secrets following her, she’s not sure she can trust herself to do that with the rugged, handsome cowboy that finds her hiding in his cabin. She wants to trust in Whit but how can she when she’s just met him…and she’s been mislead before?

I truly loved the first part of this book, yet as I finished, I felt conflicted. Let me try to explain... Whit and Cara were just magic together. Their meet-cute was super fun, engaging and playful. I loved the games they played with each other, the slow burn of their relationship despite the chemistry that just burned from the pages.

Cara was lovely. Strong in some ways, but still needing the reassurance of family. She was easy to like and it was easy to see why she would fit right into this series. I liked her, a lot. I was hoping she’d open up and let go from early on, but I appreciated the way she took her time. It rang true to the past events in her life and it made her connection with Whit seem all the more realistic.

And Whit himself? DIVINE! I really enjoyed his (mostly) easy-going nature in the first two books of this series, and I was thrilled to finally see some more of him, and to hopefully get answers to lingering questions. It didn’t disappoint in that regard. Whit was charming, kind, strong and sure. I adored him – his character showed such care for those around him, and I swooned for him.

However…sometime towards the end, this book lost me. Not completely, of course. I was determined to finish and finish I did, but I would be lying if I didn’t admit to skimming it a little. It fell a little into the ‘déjà vu’ category for me. There was something about it that just didn’t sit with me; I felt like I’d read this part of the story – from this author, no less – before. And I was so disappointed, because the majority of the story, I was thinking ‘this is the best yet, the perfect way to end’.

R.C. Ryan did a wonderful job of picking up the threads of the mystery from the earlier books, and dropping clues throughout so you think you know where it’s going, but are never quite sure. She did an amazing job of making Whit and Cara’s relationship seem so very right, despite the fact that they’d not long known each other. I simply wish she could have propelled the ending and reveal in a way that felt more unique and less like a re-harsh of old territory. ~ Beth, 3.5 stars

Whit Mckenzie is a hard working Montana cowboy. He heads up to the hunting cabin for some alone time and finds Cara Walton. Cara is also in need of some solitude since she finds herself in some trouble. Whit is just the cowboy to help her out. The only thing that concerned me about this story is that Whit did not seem upset about finding a squatter in his cabin. Otherwise it is a delightful story about finding family and learning to love and trust again. This book offers the perfect mix of humor and angst with just the right amount of steam.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Lots of suspense and mystery with romance! I fell in love with the MacKenzie family. The love and bond of the family not only pulled character Cara in but me as well. That is due to the writing creativity of R>C> Ryan.

I will be reading book 1 & 2 real soon. I want to see how the entire family formed and found their way.

The love story was beautifully written but did not over power the suspense and mystery of the story

Good book. It opens with Whit needing to get away from his big, boisterous family and be alone for a while. He is still trying to deal with the pain of his father's murder. With a blizzard bearing down, he finished feeding the cattle and heads to one of the family's range cabins. The last thing he expects is to find a beautiful blond already there. Cara has had a rough life, and the latest disasters are just icing on the cake. A good job and promising relationship implode when the man turns out to be overly controlling, and breaking up with him also leads to the loss of her job. To top it all off, she stumbles upon a well-dressed man with "evil eyes" threatening an old man. The evil-eyed man chases her, and she barely escapes, but gets lost and runs out of gas. Stumbling onto the deserted but well-stocked cabin is a life saver.

I loved the meeting between Whit and Cara. He bursts into the cabin, accompanied by snow and wind, and scares Cara half to death. She threatens him (with a broom handle in the back) as he makes his own threats about the intruder on his family's property. But with the blizzard trapping them together, they have to make the best of the situation. I loved the banter between "Goldilocks" and "Cowboy". Whit is intrigued by Cara and finds his protective side coming out the more he is around her. When the storm is over, he invites her back to the ranch.

I really enjoyed the development of their relationship. Whit has been the brother determined to stay single. In the previous books, he is the one who teases his brothers about their lovesick demeanors. It isn't long before he is just as crazy about Cara. He sees the way her ex-boyfriend has destroyed her confidence in herself and can't stop himself from showing her what a strong and capable woman she is. Cara is wary of getting involved with Whit. Thanks to the previous relationship and her trouble with "evil eyes" she has a hard time trusting her judgment. All the while there is an intense attraction simmering between the two of them. It comes to a full boil the day that Cara's innate empathy reaches out to comfort Whit over his father's death. Their relationship continues to build as Cara becomes an integral part of the ranch. But she continues to be wary of becoming too comfortable, always looking over her shoulder for the trouble that she feels is still pursuing her. When that trouble succeeds in finding her, both she and Whit realize that life can be short and trying to protect themselves from hurt also keeps them from fully experiencing life. But there are still some vulnerabilities to overcome, as Cara receives a surprise offer and Whit puts his own feelings on hold not wanting to stand in her way. I loved their big moment at the end as Cara, especially, puts her heart on the line. Truly a romantic and heartwarming scene.

The suspense of the story was really good also. Continuing from the first book is the question of who murdered Bear MacKenzie and why. Cara still doesn't know who "evil eyes" is, and becomes more afraid when she hears of the old rancher's murder. She also has to deal with the continuing threats from her ex-boyfriend. Lastly, there is also the creepy feeling that Lance, the family lawyer, is up to something. The final confrontation is intense and scary. I really wasn't sure how some of the events were going to turn out. I loved how Cara kept a cool head through it all. I also loved how the family came together to deal with the threat, and also believed in her.

One of the best parts of this series in the MacKenzie family itself. They are close, loving and supportive. Ash and Griff were featured in books one and two, with their own demons dealt with, and HEAs achieved. I loved the grandfather, Maddock or "Mad" as he's called. He has quite a sense of humor and a great way of delivering advice to the younger members of the family. The mother of the family, Willow, is still grieving the loss of her husband but has the strength necessary to carry on with the ranch. She is warm and loving and has a heart big enough to encompass everyone she comes in contact with. I especially loved the way that she pulled Cara into the heart of the family. There was also a nice little romance developing between her and Brady, the ranch foreman. Ash and Brenna, and Griff and Juliet and her two boys, all had their parts in supporting Whit and bringing Cara into the family.

3.5 star The main issue I had with this story was the h's complete lack of self-confidence that wasn't truly dealt with until the epilogue. I really enjoyed the entire cast of characters that we've met in the previous books, the secondary romance was sweet. But there were quite a few moments that were exactly the same as in the last book I read by this author. She clearly has a formula for these "three brothers" series, but I wish it weren't so obvious. Great writer, needs to break out of her lane a little bit more.

This Legacy of Copper Creek is the third book in this series by R.C. Ryan. I truly enjoyed the first two books but could not put this one down. Whit is the most likable cowboy, with a wonderful family, I have been introduced to. The story of how Whit met Cara is fun to read and envision in reality. Their past made them who they are and brought them together to heal each other. I have read many of R.C. Ryans books and will continue to read the others. Thanks you.

This is the last book in this series and we learn that Witt MacKenzie is not the loner he thought he was when he finds Cara Walton handing in one of his Lina cabins during a snowstorm. Even with Cara’s past, Witt falls just like he said he never would but Cara was just what he was looking for. This is a very romantic story about two lonely people who have to overcome their past.

I loved the beginning of this book. Cara got a little annoying later in the book with her extremely unwarranted low self-esteem. And I hate when one character takes off for a time. Her dream ending was also a little over the top as well but it is a feel good ending.

I think this book would have been more enjoyable if I had read the first two books in the trilogy. But it was still a good read.

Synopsis:

When Love Walks Through the Door…

Review:

Whit MacKenzie does not expect to find anyone squatting in one of his family’s ranch cabins in the middle of a snow storm. And when he sees that the squatter is a beautiful blonde, he could not be more surprised. When he first meets her, he is so tired that he cannot even give her much of a hard time for being there illegally. He figures after he gets a good night sleep he will be better prepared to deal with her. Although he is trying to get away from his family and just spend some time alone, he knows he cannot kick her out of the cabin in the middle of a fierce snowstorm. After he spends time with her, he finds he enjoys her company and wants to get to know her better. He knows he does not have to guard his heart with her because he has vowed to never settle down with one woman. But sometimes what we plan and what really happens are not the same.

Cara Walton does not expect anyone to show up at the isolated cabin that she is squatting in. And she really does not expect her unexpected guest to be a handsome cowboy who claims the cabin is owned by his family. She is not sure what to make of the cowboy who showed up in the middle of a snow storm. All she knows is that now that he is at the cabin, she will not be able to figure out what to do with the rest of her life. She just got out of a bad relationship and she is pretty sure that she witnessed a murder of an older man by a person with “evil eyes”. But after being stranded at the cabin with Witt, she realizes that he is like no man she has ever met. She has to decide if losing her heart to him is worth the risk of having it broken.

This is the third book in this series that I have read and I loved all three of them. This book has a little bit of everything: mystery, romance, action, heat, murder and family. All these elements are expertly woven together to make a fantastic read.

The writing style flows smoothly and the book is an easy read. There is a lot of action contained within the pages of this book and I never felt the least bit bored. Because of the descriptions given concerning the ranch activities and the community, I felt like I was right there in the thick of things. And the descriptions given concerning the meals shared by the family had my mouth watering. I wish that the book would have included recipes to try out some of the delicious sounding food.

The characters are well developed, well rounded and three dimensional. The entire MacKenzie family are people that I would like to have as neighbors and get to spend time with. They are all hardworking, loyal and honest people and are easy to care about. They all have their faults and flaws which make them seem even more human and real to me. I really enjoyed the fact that I was able to spend more time with them and catch up on all that was happening in their lives. I liked that fact that story lines from the first two book are further developed and resolved and relationships continue to grow.

There are a couple of mysteries that need to be solved in this book. The first is who did Cara see get murdered and who was the killer? She is pretty sure that she did not make the story up or exaggerate about it and she is worried that someone might be after her, someone like the killer. And we also do not know how angry Cara’s ex-boyfriend is and to what lengths he will go to get revenge. And there is still no resolution to the murder of Whit’s father in book one. I am happy to say that all three mysteries are solved and the answers are revealed.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romantic suspense. The two were blended together perfectly and made for a very enjoyable read. I would recommend reading the books in order so that you can get to know the family better and have a vested interest in their lives. I am sad that this is probably the last book in the series and I will not get to visit with the MacKenzie’s again. I plan to check out any other books that this author has written.

Posted on What I'm Reading

What a perfect ending to a series. We have been watching as the mystery of Copper Creek has been unfolding. Which each book we draw closer to who killed Bear MacKenzie, and we finally find out who did it. Of course there have been clues along the way, but you really put them all together in The Legacy of Copper Creek. You start to see everything fall into place and go oh my goodness I think I know who did. At the same time you wonder if you believe what you suspected. So, that aspect of the story is awesome. Okay, now lets get to the lovey-dovey part of the story.

I love this story. So, we get Whit who actually doesn't mind the solitude of being out in the high country where there is no where around. If you have been to Montana there is a lot of that. For a guy who likes his solitude he can get a bit grouchy when someone is encroaching on his area, especially when he's too tired. It was kind of fun to watch him stumble upon Cara and she's scared out her mind because there is this big burly angry guy coming into a cabin she was squatting in. Good times. She has been dealt some rotten cards, so she doesn't know how to handle the situation at hand. After all she's on the run from the guy with evil eyes, and she doesn't know if she can trust Whit. However, she slowly learns to trust him and he takes her to meet the family since she has no place else to go. Here is where she starts to blossom.

I absolutely love Whit and Cara characters. You have Whit who likes his solitude, but he doesn't mind being around Cara. He finds his protective side coming out, once he starts to get to know her. He's an overall good guy. Like I said Cara has been dealt a pretty crappy hand. I have mention she was on the run from evil eye guy, and she screwed by some wealthy jerk, so she's a little leery when it comes to guys. However, that is not all. She's also creative and vivid imagination, but she's afraid to share that with anyone cause some jerk basically told she was a nobody.

The Legacy of Copper Creek is a great ending to the series, because we find out the reason behind Bear's attack, and we have Whit and Cara who find each other. Both believing they wouldn't someone that would care so much about each other. We even see the things start to bloom between Willow (Whit's mom) and Brady (Ranch Foreman), but that has been in the works for a while. You kind of notice it the other books, but it's a little more clear in this story. Finally, there is a happy ending with closure (by the way the epilogue is sappy but oh so good. Very nice touch). Overall, a great read. However, I would suggest reading this series in order, because each book adds a little more to the piece of the puzzle on who killed Bear. Other than that the romance aspect can be read as a standalone (if that makes any sense to you all).

The last thing that Whit MacKenzie expects to find in his isolated ranch cabin is a gorgeous blonde stowaway named Cara Walton. Cara is down on her luck, jobless, and looking for a safe place to hide from a ruthless ex-boyfriend and she is also hiding from a shady man in a suit who is wanting to keep her from reporting what she witnessed days earlier. After her car leaves her stranded on a lonely dirt road she wanders until she finds an abandoned ranch cabin, and decides that this is as safest place as any to take shelter until she decides her next move. What she doesn't expect is to have a handsome cowboy stumble in the door seeking shelter from a late spring snowstorm. After the storm passes and it's safe to travel back to his ranch Whit offers for Cara to return home with him, and she agrees, but wonders if she is making the right decision. What she finds is a warm and loving family waiting with open arms to help her in her time of need, and give her the support she has always been without. But she still continues to look over her shoulder and worry that the trouble she has been running from is still out there lurking and waiting to catch up to her when she least expects it...

This was my first book by this author and I have to admit that it made a very good first impression, so much so, I plan to read the other books in the series. I love a good western story that has a strong alpha cowboy equipped with a gentle spirit and kind heart and Whit fit the bill perfectly! He is the kind of cowboy ladies dream of finding, and Cara definitely found her knight and shining armor at the perfect time! I absolutely loved every minute I spent reading this story, it had me smiling the whole way through!! Best book I have read in a while!!

Highly recommend you make a visit to Copper Creek and meet the Mackenzie men, they will leave you with a happy heart and a smile on your face!

Review of The Legacy of Copper Creek by R.C. Ryan

The Legacy of Copper Creek is book three in R.C. Ryan’s Copper Creek series. I actually haven’t read the first two books so I can attest that this can easily be read and loved as a stand-alone. I’m pretty excited to go back and read the first two books because I want to know how Griff and Ash got their HEAs. This is my first from Ryan, and it was a delight to read. I have always had a soft spot for cowboy/rodeo/rancher type heroes and this one fit the bill completely.

Cara is the kind of heroine that you’ll root for from the first time she’s introduced in the story. I had so many emotions surrounding her that if someone told me she were fiction, I might just protest. She’s so strong and so good, but she doesn’t see it for herself. She lacks all self-confidence. And after a past like hers, it’s hard to blame her for it. Even though she’s lacking confidence, down on her luck, and seems to have the world stacked against her — she was a hard worker, kind, and good natured. Love, love, loved this character.

Whit is the youngest of the MacKenzie boys, and he is absolutely not going to fall for some chick. Obviously, we know he’s fooling himself, but it’s always fun to see the strong alpha men squirm a bit. Whit is the epitome of a strong, protective cowboy. Loyal to his family and full of love and respect for their way of life. One of the main reasons
I love this kind of book is that the characters seem more realistic.

Relatable.
Big boisterous families. Heroes that protect what is theirs. A strong passion for the job and their land. The Legacy of Copper Creek is all that and more.

If you’re looking to lose yourself in a fictional family that will steal your heart and pull you into the thick of things, this is the book for you. Copper Creek is where a wayward soul can find a home and have all their dreams come true.

Four Brilliant Stars.

Whit is tired and ready to get settled and in bed when he walks into the range shack and is greeted by a threatening voice only to find it followed by a little thing that weighs a whole lot of nothing. He is surprised at first how did Cara end up in this shack in the middle of no where with a blizzard blazing out side and how long has she been here. So many questions but oh so much time to find out why they are stuck for the next couple of days, now will he be able to convince her to stay at the ranch and tell him her dark secrets or will he ultimately send her running again for the hills. Cara is on the run from evil eyes and is non to happy when good looking Whit shows up in the middle of the night at the one place she has found solace. She has to come up with plan B fast and hopes it works out or she will be out on her but and on the run again from mr no name with no where to go.
At first I thought this book was just another cowboy love story, oh boy was I not even close. Ok well maybe a little. There is a cowboy well a lot of cowboys in this story and there is some love lots of love but there is an underlying story going on of sorts, you don't really see it coming then smacks you in the face and has you so drawn into the story you can put it down and you need to know what happens. The pages just start turning them selves and you are so drawn into the story. The love is so strong and real. The chemistry is subtle but strong as well. There are a few love scenes in the book but nothing in detail it was done very tasteful I would say this book is such a fun book and is well worth the read. The family in the book is so amazing it really just makes you want to be part of them and you want to know them. You will not be disappointed in the end and there is no cliff hangers which is great for a series book like this.

I love Cowboys so when I saw this book I had to read it. I know this is the 3rd book in the series but this is the first book I read and I liked it. A lot. It actually made me what to go back and read the first 2 books in the series.

I enjoyed the big family and how well they got along. Whit is the youngest brother and he works hard. Ever since his brothers found love he has been thinking more of settling down but he hasn't met the right girl yet. When a blizzard happens in Wyoming he takes coverage in a little cabin on his family's land.

When Whit steps in the cabin he comes face to face with Cara. Cara is basically homeless and saw some things she shouldn't have seen and ended up on the ranch. Although Whit wants to get to the bottom of why she is really there he can't help but be attracted and enchanted by her. As they spend time together feelings start to grow and he invites her back to the main house to meet his family.

I loved how slow these two took the relationship since Cara wasn't ready to get into another since she just got out of one. The family welcomes her with open arms and it was sweet how they took to her and her to them since she has no family of her own. Right away she fit in.

The drama and the suspense of who killed Whits father and the guy a town over was just the right amount although a little more then half way in you could guess who it was. The family encouraged Cara to follow her dream of becoming an author and they loved her like one of their own.

The story played out well and I loved the epilogue which was a perfect ending to this story. Ryan writes an emotional and down to earth love story that has you swooning and falling in love.

I can't wait to read more of her work!

The Legacy of Copper Creek is the last in the latest trilogy of books by R.C. Ryan. The series wraps up with Whit MacKenzie's book. Out in high country and caught in a freak snow storm is no problem for Whit. After making his way to one of the small cabins they have all over their property for the wranglers he's surprised when he finds he is not alone. When what feels like a gun is poked into his back Whit has to work fast to disarm his intruder. Turns out it's an intruder but not one he has to worry about when he finds Cara Walton in his cabin. On the run from a couple of bad situations in her life she ends up on foot at one point and then the cabin she thought no one would find her in while she sorted things out. Cara didn't expect to see Whit walking in the door.I loved Whit and Cara. There is something about the pair that touched my heart. I wanted to see them happy. Whit says he's never going to act crazy in love but it doesn't take him long before he is putting Cara first. Cara has a couple of problems she's hiding from. From a ex boyfriend who is a controlling jerk to a mysterious man with evil eyes threatening her. She's safe with Whit and his family and with their loving nature she gains some of her confidence back and takes a chance on her dream. Of course since book one opens up with Bear MacKenzie's murder book three has to wrap that up. It's starts to be predictable who it is but getting the full picture takes to the final chapters. Love the ending of this book. Makes you feel like you are a part of it all and you hope to see them all again.

This was my first introduction to R.C. Ryan and the world of Copper Creek, and I can tell you I am going back for more! I started this book and it immediately sucked me in and grabbed hold. The storyline moved along at a good speed and by the last four chapters I could not put it down for even a minute as I awaited to see how it was going to turn out. Even though I hadn't read the first two books I was easily enough immersed into the back story and was able to follow that there was an ongoing mystery that was building to the conclusion within this book.

The characters are instantly loveable and I have to complement the chemistry of the main characters, you could feel the electricity between Cara and Whit! I also love the family dynamics in this book. Even though the family has gone through hell and back the family sticks together and is built on solid love and trust. All of the supporting characters truly helped build this story to its wonderfulness. I also liked that both of the main characters were "broken" in some form and they helped heal each other on their way to their happily ever after.

This can be ready as a standalone novel, even though reading just this book will not be enough, you will have to read the entire series. I know I am going to buy the first two and start devouring them immediately!

Overall, The Legacy of Copper Creek was a fun, fast read with good writing enhanced by an enjoyable storyline and characters!

I received an ARC of this book, from NetGalley, in exchange for my honest review.

The Legacy of Cooper Creek is the third of a series about Cooper creek Cowboys. It does well as a standalone book as I have not read the previous two. It has a mystery, a family that is close, a heroine who is running from bad choices and romance. If you like a murder mystery, it gets solved here. Cowboys dominant the story as well as ranch life. It gives an idea of the work involved in ranching. The Mackenzie men like hard work, love their family and the wild beauty of Montana. This story covers Whit, the youngest son and Cara Walton; a woman who is hiding out in one of the family’s isolated cabins. There is a connection which R.C. Ryan used to take you into the story and keep s you involved. The Mackenzie family is real and is given good and bad as well as an interesting history. Cara Walton is the heroine who is very likable and has you pulling for her and Whit. I love to read stories about cowboys, Montana and families. R. C. Ryan did not disappoint and has me looking to read the first two books as well as new books from this author. I was given this advance readers copy from Good reads First reader program.

Well, both characters certainly have their troubles. And there is a bit of a surprise about their troubles that is still to come even after you hear their stories. Cara and Whit both have their demons and are trying to work through them.

The writing was really good although it almost felt as if it moved very quickly at some points in the story. It was never to the point where I was lost though.

The Legacy of Copper Creek was humerous at points, ansty at others and cetainly very hot at other points.

While the villian is not hard to discover, his motive is not clear or was not to me. And that is what I wanted to know once everything else was explained well enough.

The ending was beautiful and that is all I really have to say.

Overall, The Legacy of Copper Creek was a good read, and contained good writing and characters that were less than perfect.

I loved the book. The book's pace moves along quite nicely and quickly. My attention immediately was captured from the very beginning. It had just the right amount of intrigue and romance. Interesting plot twist that I didn't see coming! A little "damsel in distress"-ish but the damsel is not helpless or untalented. She is just down on her luck. The cowboy needs her just as much as she needs him.

I won this book in a Goodreads giveway. I normally do not enjoy romance novels but this book has enough suspense and action in it to be pleasantly surprised.

The overall story was good, but I had to force myself to finish reading the book. It was so repetitive at times - it felt like all the meal scenes were the same, every time the little boys came in and saw the dog they chased after him, and Juliet's certification and help with Mad was mentioned over and over again. Don't know if I would read any other books by the author.

I received this book through goodreads giveaways for an honest review.

I have not read the first two books in the trilogy.

I really enjoyed The Legacy of Copper Creek. The characters were brilliantly done - very likable and in-depth. The romance was very believable and fun. The mystery aspect wasn't so mysterious - pretty obvious - but that didn't detract for me.

I would recommend this book.

I enjoyed this whole trilogy, and to be honest I generally enjoy R.C. Ryan's books. I think it was a fun romance and an easy read, with enjoyable characters. It's great book for summer, there's enough plot to keep it interesting while still being fun, and sweet with a happily ever after ending.

This book was given to me by net galley in exchange for my honest review.

Wonderful story, made me laugh cry and cringe with a little heartbreak added in. Truly a keeper. A highly recommended read for all.
