Average shoujo romance. Maaya is irritatingly insecure IMO, and I don’t think her character is consistent. She worries about making Chigira happy, and then…decides to have a Christmas party with his little sister and a bunch of little kids instead of spending it with him alone? Does that make sense? She also makes Tezuka show up, and for some reason doesn’t tell her bf about the IOU coupons that she was given by his “rival.” It’s just odd.

Tezuka unexpectedly has a FWB, and for an unknown reason Ren doesn’t seem happy to see Tezuka. The whole thing is pretty messy. It’s implying something about the future - presumably he will have to go off to pursue whichever career he wants. Looks like possibly medicine instead of law. It’s putting out a sense that his grandfather is pressuring him about the future, and he’s hesitant to tell her something important but wants to spend time with her. It would be better if the author put a hint of it in this volume so the reader can tie these things together…

The artwork is very generic. Sometimes his eyes are super blank, which is not a good look.

This one was just okay. I never understand in shojo comics the troupe about forcing relationships between people. And there was a lot of that. I do like jealous so when he kisses her and gives her a hickey I loved it. I am the problem. But like would a mom really thank someone for dating their rich handsome son? Also, why invite her to spend the night if you don’t feel you can trust them together over night?

Este tomo me ha gustado un poco menos que los anteriores. Siguen siendo monísimos, aunque siento que a veces Maaya va para atrás 🥲 creo que se podría haber quedado perfectamente en el tomo 8. Sí que ha habido alguna escena que me ha encantado, especialmente la conversación de Maaya con la madre de Chigira. Por otra parte, creo que Maaya no debería insistir si dos personas no se llevan bien. No te puedes llevar bien con todo el mundo y no pasa nada.Veremos qué tal el tomo 10.

I think imma stop this series here. Personally, I think you can stop it at volume 8 because they are a couple that are dating with marriage in mind (I think that is what they ring implied). With that in mind, it is safe to assume that all future volumes will just have unnecessary drama for filler and profit.

Xiclet estirat sense solta ni volta... En el volum anterior la gelosa era ella i ara li toca a ell. Hi ha un darrer intent d'alimentar el triangle amorós però el ros se'n va amb una altra que no recordo qui és, imagina't l'interès ^^' drama innecessari i dinàmica lletjota entre els protes que no em convenç gens ni mica. Per mi, la sèrie s'acaba aquí!

What happened to the English translation in this volume?! Some of the idioms are outright dated ("May I see you home?") not to mention the use of 'Sup? constantly.

And then here and there I noticed some grammar and phrasing that simply wasn't native English. It sounded like someone tried to translate too literally from Japanese, or the translator themselves isn't adept at English...

More of a 3.5 star rating;
I really admired that despite how uncomfortable Tezuka was at Chigira’s place, he did still show up to the Christmas part and stay there for a bit; it showed that despite how complex their dynamic is, Tezuka still does care for Chigira and his baby sister. Speaking of, Ren Chigira is absolutely adorable and she should be in the story more often since I adore her dynamic with just about everyone.
I really liked the way that this volume layered on the cute and wholesome moments while also hinting at larger issues that could show up in the story next; like Tezuka and Chigira’s still very complex dynamic, along with, Chigira’s difficulties mapping out his future and what his family (specifically his father & grandfather) would say to his decision.
Overall this was this a very enjoyable read and I’m curious to see what happens in the next volume.

I miss these two so much!!!! Just an amazing part of their story. He was a bit jealous because he thought something was going on but really she just wanted to do something special for him. She only have eyes for him and he only has eyes for her. The Christmas party was just great. I can't wait to read the next one!!!!!!
