Dr. Anthony Reynolds (Tony) and his lover, Jack, have been partners for fifteen years. Last year, on their anniversary, Tony got drunk and revealed his secret sexual fantasy and Jack listened ... really listened.
What would you do to please your lover?
For the past year, Jack has been learning how to make Tony’s fantasy a reality, but he’s had to lie to his lover over and over again to do it.
Does the end justify the means?
Can Tony overcome the fact that Jack easily and repeatedly lied to him, and he never caught on? Is there enough trust and love between these two men to continue? One way or another, this will be an anniversary to remember.

This was a nice short read. Tony and Jack have been together for 15 years, and for their 15th anniversary, Jack prepares something special for Tony, something that Tony had always wanted to try and that he confessed to Jack one exactly one year before, while they were celebrating their 14th anniversary.
I liked the idea of Jack taking Tony's desires so seriously, and while I normally would hate what he did to get there, I honestly liked how it went here, and much of that has to do on how the author managed the situation.
It would have been nice to see a bit more of their relationship outside of that specific day - how they usually get along, more in every day situations, I think it would have made me appreciate a bit more Jack's and Tony's efforts.
Tony, especially, seems to be an interesting character, and if it had been explored in a bit more depth, i'm pretty sure i would have liked him even more.
The BDSM topic was worked very carefully through the book. I honestly haven't read many BDSM books, but the very few I've read either have a positive impact on me, or i hate them.. I just can't go "more or less" with BDSM. This book falls in the first category, i liked it.

My biggest problem with the book is that this could have easily gone wrong. I would not suggest doing what tony did in this book in a long term relationship. I understand why he did it, but still feel he came too close to cheating for my peace of mind. Tony, a college English professor, and Jack, A surgeon, Have been in a loving relationship for 15 years. Last year Jack confess to a secret (and to him shameful) fantasy to be dominated and made to do thing with no say including being made to cum with people watching. Tony spends a year learning to be a dom in secret when Jack was at the Hospital. On their anniversary they go to the sex club where Tony trained to be a dom to fulfill Jack's fantasies. Tony admits what he did before they go into the club, and puts it all on the line and insists on safewords and having everything spoken outloud out so that what is happening is going to be understood. They remain in love and bring a new dimension to their relationship.

The story takes place over one day as Tony and Jack celebrate their fifteenth anniversary, and it is clear that they are both still very much in love with each other.
During their fourteenth anniversary Tony had drunkenly admitted to fantasising about aspects of a BDSM. Jack has spent the following year learning in secret how to be a Dom.
I enjoyed the story and the sex scenes I found to be really hot and well written. I am far from an expert on BDSM, but what little I know, a great deal of emphasis is placed on honesty, and to have kept such a secret for a year seems a little unfortunate, not to say hypocritical no matter how well intentioned. Anyway ethics aside, this was an enjoyable glimpse into the life of a loving couple, and the ending was charming.
Throughout the book there was a mix up of who was speaking to whom, with either names or professions being interchanged randomly. A thorough editing to check for these inconsistencies (largely at the start of the book) would-be helpful.
As I say I enjoyed the story and the climactic sex scene was scorching, but I found the ethics just a little difficult, and I would have preferred some more detail about each of the characters in general, their life and a little less of random name switches to warrant a higher starred rating.
However this is certainly an interesting and well written book, and most definitely worth checking out if you like at least one of your main characters in chains ;D

This book attempts to do something and completely succeeds at doing it. So there is a bit of a build-up which leads to this extremely satisfying finale.
Tony and Jack are celebrating their fifteenth anniversary so it is a bit difficult to get into their frame of mind. Because they have been together so long it is a bit hard understanding how they have been for so long but that is just a minor detail.
Basically this story is about the very first BDSM scene between the two main characters and how a drunken conversation about fantasies culminates to an explosive scene.
The scene is hot and awesome. I mean the way it is written is mind-blowing. Also I like the fact that the scene is not the manifestation of random thought between the MCs but is actually a well thought-out and practiced endeavor so you know that they are taking it seriously.
The SEX was hot.
The other part of this story, the whole lying for a year is something I feel can't be dealt with in one day. Basically the whole lying thing will hit Tony in waves and they will have to resolve it at each point because well that's what happens when you lie no matter how good your intentions.
But if I leave all the analysis of the characters and the story aside all I see is a story which was hot, awesome and fantastic. Basically the author set out to present a story and she did a very good job of it. I actually really liked the book and it is one HOT scene.

Bound - An Anniversary to remember was a fun and sexy read. The bondage scene was phenomenal, and the aftercare was endearing. A great short story - so my review shall reflect.
I will definitely be rereading this story, BUT I'll be skipping the first few pages. And here's why: The beginning of the book was very confusing. It needed better paragraphing or additional tag lines attached to the dialogue. I had quite the time trying to figure out who was doing the talking and generally what the hell was going on. The most glaring error that totally pulled me out of the story was the mix up with Tony's job. The story starts with me thinking he's a doctor, but the tag lines were so messed up that his name was used when it was supposed to be Jack's, so now he's a Professor of English. Then he's back to being a cardiac surgeon. Very crazy and very screwed up.
However, once the men get into their vehicle and Jack begins the discussion about what he's done and what he wants to do the writing smoothes out. By the time they arrive at the sex club, I'm fully immersed in the story and it was fantastic. Like I said, a definite reread will be in my future for this story.

3.75 Stars...Frist book I have read by this author.
I enjoyed this book. Jack is definitely a brave, brave man. The lengths he went to prepare for Tony's fantasy are a little...um, scary in a way. I do not believe that most spouses would be ok with what he had been up to. That said, it is very hot!
Super short story that took less than 30 minutes to read. This is just one day in the life of these two men who have been together for 15 years. I love the way Jack planned a whole day for their anniversary and didn't just go directly to the 'sexy' part of things. Though some of the prep was very sexy!
The sexy parts when you get to them are worth the wait.
I quite like Jack and Tony and would love to read more of their continuing story. I will definitely be searching out more books by this author.

Tony and Jack are celebrating their fifteen year anniversary. As his gift, Jack has something special planned for Tony. He's spent a year preparing for it and plans to make one of Tony's sexual fantasy become reality.
Overall not a bad read. It was quick and to pretty to the point. There was a moment in chapter three where I became confused about what type of doctor Tony was since there was a mistake with the names? (Tony calls Jack the English professor or something along that lines and it's written Tony replies with something along the lines of having to grade students papers...but Tony is a surgeon so why would have to grade papers?). I liked that there was a focus on the scene and then the aftercare. It was also comforting to see that Jack kept on checking in with Tony about the acts and how comfortable he was about them.
I think it could have been a more fulfilling read had the author extended the story and provided more background on the characters (how they met, their feelings, the ease in which they function as a couple that's been together for fifteen years, etc.).

First let me say this is the first book by Elle Larson that I’ve read. It was a really great book. I’m not one to talk about specifics about a book but about how it made me feel. I was a little leery at first think the book had cheating in it but it didn’t. The book was very well thought out and gave enough history about Tony and Jack that you didn’t feel lost while reading it because it is a short story. I absolutely love when an author can put together a short story the way Elle Larson did.
I loved how Jack took something Tony had told him about and brought it into reality. It also shows that they really love each other because it took Jack a year to make it happen. At first I couldn’t get into the book (just not in the mood to read that type of book) but once I did I couldn’t put it down. I certainly hope there are sequels to this book. I would love to hear more about Tony and Jack and how they ended up together and defiantly more about the love they share.
I take my hat off to Elle Larson for the wonderful job she did on this book.

This is the story of the 15th anniversary celebration of Tony and Jack. They are both successful men, Jack is a professor and Tony is a doctor. On their 14th anniversary, Tony drunkenly admits that his fantasy is to be dominated by Jack and for the past year, Jack has been working on making that fantasy come true.
This is a hot short. In fact, other than a couple of grammatical errors, my only complaint is how short it is. Some people may not like how Jack makes Tony's fantasy come true, but I thought it was sexy as hell. I just wish there had been more than just the one night of the couple's life in this story. Since it is the beginning of a series, I will be looking for the next one!

From the beginning, I felt like I missed something. It was like reading a scene in a book and not starting at the beginning. It helped that midway through some things were explained, but I still felt thrown off. The BDSM scene was hot, but I questioned that Jack would go a year lying so he could learn to be a Dom. I understand not wanting to hurt Tony, but because this was Tony's fantasy, I would have thought it would be helpful for Tony to have a intro to the life in a less surprising way. The characters were likeable. I would like to read more about these characters.
Quick read, hot BDSM scene, likeable characters and love...good mix!
The Gift Bound the first in the Bound To Each Other series by Elle Larson was short, sexy and fun. I think it worked for me because Larson didn't overstretch. She didn't reach to make a grand novel she gave us a nice, clean story. Oh yes, oh yes I wish it had been longer. Jack spends a year working on his longtime partner's anniversary gift. I like both of the main characters what little we got to see of them (snipe) hopefully we will see them again. Overall it was an enjoyable read.

A short sweet story about Tony and Jack's 15th anniversay. Without Tonys knowledge Jack has spent the last year learning to be a dom and on the evening of their anniversary they go to a sex club and Tony becomes a submissive for the night. An enjoyable read.
