As Saya, Isami, and Kanoko journey together in search of Usa, the three unexpectedly come across a flower-filled mansion and its lone automated caretaker. The robot claims to have met the mysterious survivor, but in exchange for its information, it has a request of them…
I’m still completely obsessed with this series!! I shit you not, this is amazing! This volume is a bit more action-packed and gives much more insight into the world-building. And that cliffhanger?! EXCUSE ME?! 😭🤌🏻
That said, I did miss the philosophical, melancholic vibe a little in this one. It’s not gone, but it’s clearly toned down in favor of action and world-building.
That’s why this one gets 4.5 ⭐️ instead of a full 5 😊
The section with Henrietta was beautiful, some of my favorite work so far in the series. Awesome robot designs that feel real and visually stunning- this section had some of the best robotics designs I’ve seen thus far.
I didn’t care for the Usa storyline, I have a feeling it will be a bit more of the type of story I don’t want. I just feel like introducing a character like him this far into the series is going to take away the fun and humanity of this story and focus on something “badass”, with more battles and attacks. I want to focus on the beauty left behind, the pain of continuing on and the focus to do it when it’s not easy.
A great, slow volume that walks at a nice pace into the mystery of how the world became what it is. The characters continue to be simple while still having great voices. There is a decent spread of various genre, too: battles, human-interest, mystery, and travel narrative. Great stuff!
So, it has been a bit since I last read Volume 2 (June last year), and while I had to adjust a bit/get used to things again, as soon as I was in I was in. This was a fun volume with our eternal child/android + her two human companions. We see them travel, meet new characters, fight a big battle with one of the baddies who apparently knows that he needs to target the brother/sister which is a worry + there is much more. I just love how detailed this manga is, the buildings are just so well drawn even when destroyed/in ruins. The last page/panel, OMG, I need to meet those guys, well, if they are good, haha. Also that last bit of memory with Henrietta. *cries*
The best of the series so far. We witness Saya’s best fight and see our characters face more deadly threats. Patiently waiting for volume 4 to be released now as I’m fully absorbed in this world.
slow to start, but now picking up pace as more main characters have been added. I do feel like the background stories of the characters they meet are becoming repetitive.....I hope this manga shapes up to have an interesting overarching plot rather than being a sort of episodic we run into a new character slice of life type of situation, lots of questions! beautiful backgrounds, scary aliens.
WARNING for scanlation readers!!! some sites do not have every panel in a chapter uploaded. there will be one or two missing here or there. i didnt notice at first. try comparing a couple different sites to make sure you're getting the WHOLE story.
This series still pulls me in as we continue the mission. Now that we have a group working together I feel like there has been a slight alteration to Saya's original mission. The fight scenes are pretty wild and the new type creatures are a bit over the top and adapted. I am definitely curious about the organization that created her as well and what ties they have to all the stuff they are running into lately.
