Werewolves meet the Wild West in this exciting second installment of the Wolf Brides trilogy.
Lorelei McGregor has tumbled from the top tier of Turn of the Century Boston society. Determined not to sully her family’s name further, she answers an ad in the newspaper for a mail order bride. The big city is no longer home, so she’ll try her hand at surviving the Wild West cattle town of Colorado Springs with her new stranger husband.
The man she meets is tall and strapping, and about as wild as a person can get. His strange mannerisms scream that something is off, but out of options, Lorelei has to learn to adapt to life on a homestead with a family who doesn’t seem altogether human.
Jeremiah Dawson is keeping big secrets from his mail-order bride, but he can’t trust her with the truth until he knows she won’t run from him. When a mission to track down some of the most notorious outlaws in the Colorado territory goes wrong, he’ll have to learn to trust her, or cut her loose to save her from the feral animal inside of him.
If he chooses wisely, he just might find the woman who can fix his broken wolf.

A solid romance, but not as good as the first one!
Why? Because in the first one I adored the heroine, while here she was the typical woman of that time: sweet, demure, polite, soft spoken... I've missed the spark of the previous book's heroine!
I must say in her favor that she was also resilient and she didn't just drop and died. She fought with what she had available and wasn't afraid to take a risk. She was also understanding and wasn't judgemental!
Jeremiah was perfect for her. His wold is just plain crazy, but his human part is wonderfully tender. He knows when to push Lorelei and when to sooth her, when to kiss her and when to hold her. Great!
Still the romance wah nice: tender and hot and just hearwarming!
My favourite thing about this book was that it was short. If you're after a historical werewolf romance with a kind of wild west era background, this could be the book for you. Unless you're a stickler for historical accuracy, in which case this will likely disappoint. I prefer my historical aspects to be brief, so this style was preferable. I still found it dragged. If you're looking to try a T.S. Joyce series, don't start with this one.
I loved the somewhat slow burn romance between Lorelei and Jeremiah. His desire not to scare her with what he is was, and ease her slowly into Colorado life, was sweet. Lorelei was stronger than she gave herself credit for, and I was happy to see her bloom in her new family. 4 stars
Red Snow Bride was an enjoyable read. I especially loved watching the heroine come into her own as well as watching the relationship develop between her and the hero.
This book is so worthy of reading it many times! I love the storyline, the characters and how the author makes you feel as you are right in that book with her characters! I highly recommend this series to everyone!
Second book in the trilogy. This time it is Jeremiah' s turn to seek his mail-order bride and this is Lorelei. She has recently been ousted out of polite society by her shit of a husband who ruins her name and standing by a scandalous divorce......*be still my aching heart* After answering Jeremiah 's ad, he seeks Lorelei out and they marry. Then the real adventure begins.....tents, creek baths, outlaws, white-washed houses and cuddly wolves.....!!!
Lots going on with building up the homestead and forging friendships in the little town, finishes on a HFN and the epilogue sets up for the final book in the trilogy and Luke and Jeremiah' s missing brother - Gabel, returns.
In the second book of the Wolf Brides series, Lorelei had just scandalously divorced by her husband and shunned by Boston high society. Her last friend recommends she start a new life elsewhere so she answers an ad for a mail order bride.
After failing with his last ad when he brought Kristina to Colorado Springs and she married Jeremiah's brother Luke, will Lorelei be the woman to tame Jeremiah's wolf? And can this straight laced society lady fit in on the homestead after living such a genteel and privileged life?
Yes and yes. Jeremiah and Lorelei are as good a match as Luke and Kristina, and with as many problems to work through.
This is probably my favourite of the Wolf Brides series and that's saying something because I've really enjoyed every one and their unique take on a shifter romance set in the historical Wild West. This one tells the story of Jeremiah Dawson and Lorelei's quest for love as the former posts another add for a mail order bride after trying to start his life again since the death of his first mate. Not a lot happened in this book but I still find myself giving it five stars because for some reason, I just really enjoyed it. It was a quicker read but the characters were still well-developed and the writing was solid.
Lorelei was scandalously divorced by her philandering, cold and cruel husband. He's spent all of her dowry and publicly humiliates her at a dinner party for the wealthy and affluent, knowing that her name will be mud and he'll have grounds for a successful divorce upon announcing that she left his bed cold. Lorelei is devastated and her confidence shot as she's booted out of her house without a penny to her name. She's unwilling to go to her wealthy parents as she doesn't want to drag their good name down any further and her former friends have all turned their backs on her. She's robbed and left working in a hen house until replying to Jeremiah's advertisement for a wife. He turns up, they meet and their story begins.
It was a really lovely story between two very likeable characters. There wasn't too much drama and angst after the beginning few chapters and the lifestyle and background set by the author was well done, taking me back to another time. Jeremiah's wolf has been wild and untamed since the death of his mate, but he slowly finds himself starting to live again and his wolf begins to finally calm down and settle. There is the usual small town discrimination and a bit of action with some outlaws, but apart from that, it was just a sweet romance between two low-drama people trying to find companionship in life. Luke and Kristina from the first book feature heavily as they live on the same farm so it was good to revisit them as they played a large part without taking over the story. The friendship between the two women also made a great read. The only negative was that there were some small issues with typos as there were random speech marks throughout the story. I also would have liked more details on what happened to Jeremiah's first wife as I found it strange that it wasn't detailed in this book considering his moving on was a key element.
I liked that it wasn't overly dramatic but just a feel good romance. The character development was great and it was a light, easy read. This has been a great series and completely unexpected with the author putting her own spin on a historical shifter romance.
Another 4 STARS for the paranormal western series Book 2 of the (Wolf Brides Book 2) and it is just as exciting and enduring as the 1st one. This book is about one of the brothers who had previously been married and his wife had died with complications due to were problems and had damaged his inner wolf to the point he the man had lost communication with the animal inside his body. Then knowing he needed another mate to heal his beast back to normal he again out in for a mail order Bride. She had been brought up at the top of the Boston Society Social hierarchy and was the only child of wealthy well known parents and was married off to another of equal snobbery social standing. However, her husband had turned out to be an extremely cruel man that beat her and wanted her to become docile and begging, (not her inner character), flaunted his mistresses publicly to embarrass her then announced at a large gathering he was divorcing her because she left him cold in bed and could not bear his heir and with this cruel announcement he knew society would no longer accept her, help her not even her own parents could without being disgraced themselves. Basically he said she refused to have sex with him and/or carry his child or children, and this wasn't done in that time, it went against religion and the marriage vows. Just a small point there wasn't a man that was going to allow their women folk, wives, daughters or even sisters to be around a woman who refused the basic marriage vow. The same characters from Book 1 are carried over with the new ones added of, Daniel, ex husband of new Bride, Pa & Ma of the Brothers, the Bride's parents, her roommate at the boarding house and the bandits, robbers, murderers & crooks plus the wonderful addition of Trudy & Elias's brand newborn baby girl. Finally the western part of the book gets down to the north gritty of how low down the bandits are and you are not gonna be sad if they are shot or brought in and hung, round em up boys. If you enjoy westerns, historical romances and paranormal reads then this book, this series of books has it all for you. WARNING: 18 & Up SEXUAL CONTENT: Yes
Lorelei McGregor was humiliated by her prick of a husband in front of their friends. He asked her for a divorce and then he threw her out of the house like she was nothing. She was down but then she answered an ad that Jeremiah Dawson wrote looking for a wife. She told him about the scandal surrounding her in Boston.
Jeremiah Dawson had loved and lost his first wife Anna, now he needed something or someone to keel his inner beast steady. His brother Luke (WOLF BRIDE) used to hate the changes but ever since he'd married Kristina, the man welcome his changes with opened arms. Jer finally got an answer to his ad and his was thinking about what to do.
He didn't want to bring a pedigree woman like Lorelei to the wilderness. Especially not after what he and his went through just a few weeks ago. So he decided to travel to Boston to meet along with his brother and sister-in-law. They all went to pay his parents a visit, there the older Dawson generation found out some intriguing tidbits.
Meeting each other for the first time was a delightful experience for Jer and Lorelei. Their banter was so sweet. I really how their relationship kept growing stronger. The way he was protective and loving was a side of the opposite sex that Lorelei wasn't used to. Her relation with Kristina was beautiful, they loved each other like sisters.
Lorelei finding out about Jeremiah's true nature was done perfectly. His fears were understandable but unnecessary cause she loved him and his wolf unconditionally and fierce.
RED SNOW BRIDE is the second book in T. S. Joyce's WOLF BRIDES series. It was alluring, mind-blowing and a must read. I've enjoyed this book better than the previous one. T. S. Joyce did a magnificent job! 5++++
T.S. Joyce does it again with book two in this series. Jeremiah is the soft-hearted alpha male which can make any reader swoon. My heart went out to him in book one because despite always doing the “right thing” his life was one tragedy after another. Joyce creates the romance he deserves making all his hardship worth the wait for Lorelei. She answers his advertisement and lightning strikes twice for the Dawson boys. The new couple is instantly smitten – a relief because I don’t think Jeremiah could take any games from her. The conflict revolves around whether her refined palette (which he asked for specifically) can stomach his lifestyle and secrets. This new twist on the secret werewolf trope was refreshing. Based on his characterization in book one, it is no surprise that he doesn’t trust her to stick around even after she 1)makes a positive impression on his parents, 2)accepts their friend Trudy and 3) agrees to live in a tent with him. Talk about a marshmallow in a tough candy shell! There were a few opportunities to increase the danger level for the ladies that were abandoned by the author (ex. Red-haired bandit) making this book much tamer than book one. I’m still waiting on Kristina to teach Lorelei to shoot. Overall, I’m hooked on T.S. Joyce’s loveable characters and can’t wait for all the expansions of the Dawson homestead.

Jeremiah puts out another add for a mail ordered bride, and Lorelei is the only one to answer the call. She had been shoved out of society and disgraced by her husband, who demanded a divorce and makes her life horrible for no good reason at all. Jeremiah is hopeful that quiet, lady Lorelei will help tame his wild wolf inside who has been inconsolable since loosing his mate 3 years ago.
This has all the emotions like the first book. Very action packed and emotional. I thought there would be more conflict around Jeremiah moving on from Anna, his late wife - but much like the first book, the main conflict was keeping the fact that they are werewolf shifters a secret, and then outlaws.
It was nice to see how instantly Jeremiah was smitten with Lorelei. We see him laugh and loosen up, as well as Lorelei who was raised strictly to be a lady find herself in the country.
Wao! This was a great read. It runs in the wild West and is about 3 wolf shifters brothers and their amazing adventures while finding a wife that could take them on. This one was about Jeremiah, the quiet and intense brother. He is a widower. His wolf is broke after loosing his mate and Jeremiah is desperate to find a bride mail order to help him soothe his animal. Lorelei is a human high born lady fallen in bad times after her husband divorced her. This was a fantastic read but I expected to know more about Jeremiah's deceased wife, how it happened and how why they never were able to find her killer. Nonetheless, a enjoyable read. Highly recommended
Lorelei's situation just doesn't make sense. She's an heiress. After her parents die, their money and property will be hers. Why not go home? Even with scandal, men would be willing to marry her for her inheritance. Also, she's pretty. Her working and living rough in the city would likely be a bigger scandal than her divorce.
And what about Jeremiah? Why would he want a high bred woman? She wouldn't know how to cook or clean or do farm work. High manners wouldn't suit him and her skills throwing parties and dancing wouldn't be much use on the ranch.
This is a fun romance of you don't think about it too much.
Lorelei's society life sucks balls. I liked this, but I felt that she was kind of judgy of everyone for a good while. Granted that's mostly likely how it would have happened in that era, still judey though. Kristina is still a hoot and I loved the blend of everything from the first book to this book. Jeremiah seemed more gruff than in this book, but I think it's more just him being on edge after all the events in the previous book. Not a lot of time pass from when the two books, which was nice because we got to continue right where we left off rather than it be some months or years passed. Great continuation of the series.
This author has a talent for story telling that I've just never read before. I truly feel like I'm in the old west and can hear that early American dialect in my head as I'm reading. It adds such a dimension to the story that makes me so deeply engrossed that everything else falls to the wayside in my house. I put my dogs off for an extra hour until I finished! They grumbled indelicately too and are giving me the eyes right now. Better feed them before I start on Gable's story. :)
I love this series. I do recommend it for mature readers as there is violence along with some pretty graphic scenes of it. Also, there is some sexual content. Mostly you’ll find plenty of action that will keep you glued to the pages. Between the serious acts of protecting the prospective brides and the brides protecting the prospective grooms comes enough giggles to have you doubled up. Then when the wolf begins to romance his lady mate, look out. It’ll get hotter and you’ll find yourself wanting a wolf for a mate.
In spite of its double first person presentation this could have been a much more enjoyable novel if it had better editing or proof readers. Too many simple misused words. If not for the fact i've read other works by this author which had better proofing, l would think this a first effort rather than a tenth or fifteenth. Perhaps she will hire an editor who reads next time, instead of one who only uses spell check.
I am SO GLAD that Jeremiah's book came on next! Lorelei is darling (plus I love her name). I appreciate the strength and independence she showed in the face of adversity. And it tickles me pink & purple to see her and Kristina (who is so wildly different from her) to get on together. Jeremiah is a dear sweetheart himself and I'm glad the issues with his wolf got sorted because that whole thing with Kristina was...ouch to say the least.
not this being the first book i pick up after my reading slump.... seriously though I love this series with my whole heart and soul and have been meaning to start it up again ever since I read the first one a couple months back. i really really enjoyed this and how it built on what happened in the previous installment. I'm so excited to read and savor the last book of the series, maybe I'll even pick it up today!
Jeremiah's first letter didn't bring him the kind of bride he wanted so he wrote another letter to try again. He gets a response but he doesn't reply. She's in Boston and his parents are in Boston so he decides it's time to go home for a visit. His first stop is to Loralieah's room. Exciting and so much fun to read.
I’ve read so many of T S Joyce’s books and can’t seem to get enough. Her way of weaving her tales is never a let down. This series is no exception. Luke and Kristina are very entertaining. I laughed out loud a number of times and had to share the humor with my hubby.
Ah! This story was so perfect! A disgraced high society woman and a secretive country man coming together through necessity and learning to live and love with each other. There was action and unexpected twists, sorrow and joy, and a beautiful ending that just bleeds hope. I can’t wait to read book 3!
I'm enjoying this series. The old west setting is a refreshing change. Jeremiah and Lorelei story will pull on your heart strings. Two broken people so desperately wanting to be accepted and loved. Kristina and Luke help them both see love is there for them if they are ready to open their hearts.
I liked it so much!!! It was so funny, full of adventure and very entertaining 🤣 😆 😄 I enjoyed it very much, was very happy to read this story and submerged myself into their life and experience what they were going through. Enjoyed so very much?!!! I cried and laughed, run afraid to save myself. 😆lol loved it!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Scandalized Lorelei MacGregor of Boston agreed to be widower Jeremiah Dawson’s mail order bride to avoid further scandal or pity. But shifter Jeremiah can’t just tell Lorelei what she’s walking into, if things work out, she’ll fix his broken wolf and he can tell her everything, if not, she won’t be around long enough for it to matter. Rating: 4.25stars
Jeremiah Dawson Werewolf Shifter had placed an add for wife for himself. Lorelei Mc Gregor had answer the ad. So the Dawson Clan pack up to go see their Mother and Father in Boston! Jeremiah also to meet his mate Lorelei! Now the little clan, only needed their big brother Gabriel!
