Sequel to the NYT and USA bestselling SEALs of Summer boxed set.

THE NAVY SEAL'S CHRISTMAS BRIDE (a Chance Creek novella) by CORA SETON. Navy SEAL Dan Hemmins goes head to head with soldier Sarah Metlin to prove once and for all that women can't possibly qualify for an elite branch of the military, but when Sarah proves she's not just one of the most qualified warriors he's ever met, she's also one of the smartest and sexiest, too, he'll do whatever it takes to get closer to her, even if he has to challenge her to another contest...or three...or five!

FLASH FIRE (an Out of Uniform novella) by ELLE KENNEDY. Navy SEAL Cash McCoy knows all about danger-he lives and breathes it on a daily basis. When it comes to the love of his life, though, this alpha soldier does everything in his power to keep Jen Scott happy and safe. But when the tables are turned and Jen places herself in harm's way for her job, their relationship is put to the test. Now Cash must learn to trust the woman he loves...or lose her forever.

A SEAL FOR CHRISTMAS (a SEAL Team Alpha novella) by JENNIFER LOWERY. Navy SEAL Donovan Demarco is looking to spend a quiet family Christmas, but an accident puts Cloe Carter's life in danger and he is honor-bound to protect her. Will the threat against them tear them apart or will this holiday season mend their broken hearts?

SEAL'S PROPOSAL (a Take No Prisoners story) by ELLE JAMES. On a mission to create the perfect setting for a Christmas proposal, Navy SEAL Remy 'Gator' LaDue finds himself running interference for his beautiful, independent-minded FBI Agent Mitchell Sanders when she becomes the target of an escaped criminal she helped convict

YOURS FOR CHRISTMAS (When SEALs Come Home) by ANNE MARSH. When Navy SEAL Zack Medina comes home to Strong, California for Christmas, he's got more than a firefight on his hands. He needs to convince his estranged wife that 'tis the season to forgive...and that will take a Christmas miracle. Bree lost her heart three years ago to the sexy SEAL and letting him back into her heart-and her bed-would be a mistake. A really hot, impossibly sweet mistake

SEALED UNTIL CHRISTMAS (a Lucky Thirteen story) by S.M. BUTLER. Jesse Richter is a Navy SEAL with a hero complex, but he's met his match in Charlie Morgan, the girl who refuses to be the damsel in distress. A battle of wills and a little mistletoe bring them together, but secrets may tear them apart.

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (Lone Star Lovers) by DELILAH DEVLIN. Callie Murphy's never been one to moon over a man. Fairytale romances don't exist outside of books. She's seen first-hand how transitory love can be after watching her mother fall in and out of marriage. Derek Tilden hammered home that truth when he joined the Navy to become a SEAL-he was the boy who couldn't wait to see the world and she was the girl ready to plant deep roots. Now he's back and asking her to marry him one last time...

UNDER THE RADAR (SEAL EXtreme Team III) by KIMBERLEY TROUTTE. SEAL pilot, Ty Whitehorse, is shot down in the Arctic and must escape through hostile territory. But when the mother of all blizzards attacks, he holes up in a hunter's cabin with Holly Colton, a sexy lady musher with a deady secret. Ty isn't the only one laying low under the radar. They're both in enemy crosshairs. Staying together is dangerous. Separating? Impossible.

FALL HARD (a SEALs Undone novella) by ZOE YORK. Jared Sutter has a simple rule when it comes to women: keep 'em happy and keep 'em at a distance. He's got his reasons, and they all make sense until he falls for his neighbor and Cassie Bronson makes him want things he's always kept off-limits.

I purchased this anthology specifically to read the Zoe York story. I'm sure I'll come back at some point and read one or two of the other books and when I do, I'll add a review.

Fall Hard by ZOE YORK-
4.0 RATING-
I'm so glad I discovered Zoe York. Both stories I've read by her I ended up really liking. Fall Out was the first book and is book one in the Seals Undone series. It was a bit sexier to me than this second book, Fall Hard. Fall Hard, was a sweeter book but still had nice steam level. I was happy to be able to pick it up as part of the Seals of Winter: A Military Romance Superbundle anthology for $0.99. Definitely worth the price, just for the Zoe York book alone.

Both books had quality writing, great characters with good chemistry. Although both books are novellas, they were so well paced, I never fell shorted or that the story was rushed in any way. A lot of author's have a difficult time pulling that off but the author did a great job for both books. The hero in Fall Hard is great but he has an interesting secret I didn't see coming! Dying to know his secret?

If you haven't checked out this series, I totally recommend it. There's not a ton to work with because of the shorter length, but what there is, is enjoyable. A very easy series to recommend, very readable! Looking forward to reading the third book in the series, Fall Away, when it releases in Feb. 2015. In the meantime, I plan to check out other series by this author to see if I like them as much.

This collection of novellas featuring Navy SEALS and the women who love them is a fabulous read! The following is a review of some of the stories in this anthology.

THE NAVY SEAL'S CHRISTMAS BRIDE (a Chance Creek novella) by CORA SETON.

This was the first time that I’ve read a story by Cora Seton and I really enjoyed it! There was enough of a backstory in the novella to satisfy a new reader and interest them in the stories of other characters introduced in the book. Dan and Sarah were both strong, opinionated, alpha characters who share an attraction to each other that won’t be denied. I liked the repartee between them, and the love scenes they shared were steamy and inventive.

FLASH FIRE (an Out of Uniform novella) by ELLE KENNEDY.

This story revisits a popular couple from Elle’s series, though it stands well on its own. Cash and Jen have a healthy relationship, and Cash wants to make it more permanent, looking for the perfect ring. Meanwhile Jen has plans of her own that include travelling to a dangerous country for a photography opportunity. Like any real life couple they have arguments and they make up. It was good to see Cash on the other end of the waiting game this time as Jen goes on her assignment, giving him a taste of what she goes through every time he is on a SEAL mission. I liked the whole plot of this story, the suspenseful twists, the love scenes between them (always hot and steamy!) and their obvious affection for each other.

A SEAL FOR CHRISTMAS (a SEAL Team Alpha novella) by JENNIFER LOWERY.

When Cloe get hits by a car while riding her bicycle, little does she expect Donovan to come to her rescue having seen what transpired from his family's restaurant. Donovan takes it upon himself to help Cloe recover and in the process shows her what love with a committed caring man would be like. I really enjoyed this story, in particular the closeness of Donovan's family and the way that Cloe was gradually able to open up her heart to Donovan. She's suffered a tragic loss and Donovan is helping her find her way again. There is some tension and suspense in the story as well, making the plot move at a fast pace. Delightful!

YOURS FOR CHRISTMAS by ANNE MARSH.

When Zack and Bree shared a one night stand, the possibility of pregnancy made for a quickie marriage before Zack shipped out. 3 years later, he's back to see if his pseudo-marriage can be salvaged. This was such a fun holiday story! Zack and Bree were perfect for each other and the attraction between them had never faded despite their long separation. Zack was such a sweet and caring man, trying to show Bree that he'd never forgotten about her and that he's willing to do whatever it takes to be in her life once again. Bree's character was equally fun and friendly. Together they sizzled and the love scenes were steamy and well written. Very enjoyable!

FALL HARD (a SEALs Undone novella) by ZOE YORK.

I love Zoe's writing so I expect a lot from her stories and this one delivered exactly what I hoped for. It's a friends to lovers story, with two neighbours who have managed to keep themselves at arms length but find that the attraction between them just keeps growing and finally has a chance to be put into play. Both Cassie and Jared were wonderful characters - friendly, caring, attractive people. It's not often you find a male virgin hero, but it works well here, with a good explanation for Jared's combination of innocence and sexual experience. It was a fast paced and entertaining read, with a good buildup of sexual tension and a fitting happy ending.

This review is for A SEAL for Christmas by Jennifer Lowery part of the SEALs of Winter anthology. 11/16/14 Update - I have now also reviewed A SEAL's Proposal by Elle James - see below.

5 stars
I want Donovan for Christmas!

This is another great novella by Jennifer Lowery. There’s romance, suspense, family and friends – things that make for a great story.

Her writing makes you feel what Donovan and Cloe are feeling. They have both suffered loss but Cloe’s loss is nearly unbearable and now, on top of that, someone is trying to hurt her. Donovan doesn’t want to trust his feelings for Cloe because his Ex left him while he was deployed.

Donovan becomes Cloe’s protector and the sparks fly. Although there isn’t a lot of SEAL action in this book (the team is on leave between deployments), if you love books about SEALs I think you will really enjoy this one.

The set of books is a fantastic bargain at only 99 cents!

I received a copy of this novella from the author in exchange for an honest review but I also purchased the boxed set.

11/16/14 A SEAL’s Proposal by Elle James
5 stars
A great addition to the Take No Prisoners series but also stands-alone.

This book is a follow-up to SEAL’s Desire but you don’t have to have read that book to enjoy this one. Remy and Mitchell (Mitchell is a woman) have been living together but Remy is ready to take it to the next level.

Remy’s planned a special Christmas vacation for the two of them. He’s bought a ring for Mitchell but he’s really not certain about how she’ll react. Before they can leave on their trip things get dicey for Mitchell when a bad guy she helped convict escapes and he threatens her.

This is a fast paced book and will keep you on the edge of your seat until the last page. It has really nice steamy parts, too. LOL It’s one of my favorites of the series.

If you haven’t read the other books in this series I recommend you give them a try.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review but I also purchased the SEALs of Winter boxed set which included this story.

1/10/15 Adding review for Yours for Christmas: Christmas with the Smoke Jumpers by Anne Marsh
4 stars

A nice addition to the Smoke Jumpers/When SEALs Come Home series.

I really like this story about Zack and Bree. They had a romantic interlude after a dance a few years before the story begins. The condom broke so they got married. Zack was deploying and he wanted her to have access to his benefits in case she is pregnant and in case anything happens to him.

Fast forward 3 years. Zack hasn’t seen Bree since the night they got married. He didn’t come see her when he was home on leave which just crushed her. Zack has a lot of repair work to do; he still wants Bree.

Though this is a novella it has a great story and the characters seem well developed to me. This is a stand-alone and you don’t need to have read the other books in this series to enjoy it.

If you like hunky heroes and sexy time you will enjoy this book.

SEAL'S PROPOSAL (A Take No Prisoners story) by Elle James:

We catch up with Remy and Mitchell in this 5th novella and their attempt to head off on a much needed vacation.

But when you throw together a Navy SEAL and an FBI agent things are bound to go wrong; and attempted murder is definitely wrong!!

Join this remarkable couple as they venture into the Rockies, trying to stay alive by avoiding a pyscotic killer, face one disaster after another and tread the tenuous line between lovers and commitment.

Now I must wait for book 6!!!!

THE NAVY SEAL'S CHRISTMAS BRIDE (a Chance Creek novella) by CORA SETON.

Reivew By Alex From http://thebibliophileprincess.com/

Dan is freshly out of the military and a former Navy seal. He decides to spend his time on a ranch with his friend Mason who soon introduces him to Sarah. Sarah is in the Army and is one tough lady. She sees herself as Dan’s equal and soon she makes him realize it too.

Spending a holiday break competing in a training camp?! Not my idea of a vacation but could be fun to watch.

Sarah I feel I connect with on the way she feels about men. She wants more in a relationship yet the men that she attracts only act interested in more but only want flings or one night stand. Now that she has met Dan, who is someone who also wants more she is having a hard time believing it. He may want something more but how is she to know it’s with her. The chemistry between Dan and Sarah is perfect; it’s unlike many romance navels. They are competitive and sarcastic towards one another. It’s great because it makes it seem more real.

I give this a 3/5

Favorite quote “Black belt in making out.”

FLASH FIRE (an Out of Uniform novella) by ELLE KENNEDY.

Reviewed by Alisha from http://thebohemianhousewife.com/

Flash Fire is about Navy Seal, Cash, and his photographer girlfriend ,Jen - she travels to a dangerous country against his wishes. She gets wrapped up in a nasty situation. While she is hoping she can stay hidden long enough to get save, Cash worries. He can do nothing to help but hope she gets saved and saves private Jamie. This was an okay novella. I probably won't read the rest of the series but I didn't hate it. 3/5

A SEAL FOR CHRISTMAS (a SEAL Team Alpha novella) by JENNIFER LOWERY.

Reviewed by Alisha from http://thebohemianhousewife.com/

Cloe is a woman with a troubled past. She was at fault for a horrible accident that ruined her life. Donovan is a Navy seal divorcee. Donovan does everything he can to protect her from a crazed stalker that hit her with his car EVEN if Cloe tells him ’NO’ a zillion times.. I wasn’t a fan of this Novella. When I say ‘NO’ I mean it. It’s not okay to let a man override your authority (even if he means well). Donovan was too much. 2/5

SEAL'S PROPOSAL (A Take No Prisoners story) by ELLE JAMES.

Reivew By Alex From http://thebibliophileprincess.com/

Remy is a Navy Seal just home from a six month operation. He comes home to his girlfriend Mitchell who is apart of NCIS and very dedicated to her work and had recently gone undercover. Mitchell has busted a case of man named Rocco who was running human trafficking and a murderer. After he is sentenced and leaving the courthouse Rocco is taken out of custody by some of his people and now on the run. Mitchell is now in fear because she is the person who sent Rocco away and now is in fear of her life. Remy has no idea how much danger Mitchell is in, all he can think about id the perfect Colorado Christmas proposal.

I enjoyed this book because honestly Mitchell is a total bad ass, I like that she doesn't NEED Remy to save her and keep her safe. She knows he could but she also knows how important this vacation is to Remy and doesn't want to spoil it for him.
I give this book a 4/5, I found it had a nice balance between romance and suspense.

YOURS FOR CHRISTMAS by ANNE MARSH.

Reviewed by Alisha from http://thebohemianhousewife.com/

Yours For Christmas is about Zack and Bree, his estranged wife. If you would call her that. As they got married and didn't see each other again. It might be a bad sign when you come home from deployment and your own wife doesn't remember your face. Then again If you didn't talk to me through not one BUT TWO deployments - You better not come running back after you're out of the military. Especially if you didn't even come to see me on leave! You can tell from the beginning of this novella that they have a pretty awful relationship. Honestly, the guy chickened out asking HIS OWN WIFE to the grand canyon. Rediculous. Marriages aren't fantasies guys. The whole novella Zack is trying to convince Bree that she should take him back with some very hot sex, food, and a kitten (sign me up cowboy..err SEAL?). Very predictable. Slightly annoying. 2/5

SEALED UNTIL CHRISTMAS (a Lucky Thirteen story)by S.M. BUTLER.

Char is was adopted by the Mayor of a small town. Her father was a con-man(Brent)and her mother was dead. Brent was more than willing to have child services take her away years ago. Her new parents weren't fond of her speaking with Brent so they forbade it. If she spoke to him she would get kicked out. Char’s Bio Dad has put her in quite a pickle. His loan shark(Smith)is after her because he can no longer locate Brent ,who he assumed was deceased. Smith wanted 20k and was threatening her with violence. Luckily Jesse stepped out in time to save her. Jesse was a small town boy, gone Navy SEAL. He too had a troubled past. Hunted by his dead girlfriend he latches to Char like no other. Char resisted because she didn't want to rope anyone else into this mess. She was trying to find a way to pay him off without alerting her family. Jesse offers to help her with her problems but she refuses. Of course she believes she can handle a guy threatening her life(and her family’s) alone. Char’s parents at the end? I’m not even going into that. This Novella was okay. Not a favorite but It was alright. 3/5

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT by DELILAH DEVLIN.

Reivew By Alex From http://thebibliophileprincess.com/

Derek and Callie dated for years but when he made the choice to become a SEAL Callie ended things. All Derek wants is for Callie to marry him and make life together but Callie doesn't want to leave, she feels the timing isn't right. This Novella is only 6 chapters and moved very fast. It lacked depth for me. The first five chapters is made up of Derek trying to convince Callie to marry him. This book is given a 2/5, even though it was technically an easy read it was too predictable and fast moving.

UNDER THE RADAR (SEAL EXtreme Team III) by KIMBERLEY TROUTTE.

Reivew By Alex From http://thebibliophileprincess.com/

Ty is a Navy seal who's helicopter goes down in a remote terrain in Alaska.. Thankfully a woman named Holly comes upon the crash with her dogs and brings him back to her lodge. Holly runs a lodge for mushers in Alaska. She is trying to restart her life after a horribly abusive relation back in DC almost left her for dead. Through this book you learn more about both of Holly's and Ty's past and you start to feel the connection growing between the two of them. They bot are here to save one another.
Kimberley writes very well, I enjoyed this book even though I didn't think I actually would. I give this a 3/5 and would consider reading another one of her books.

FALL HARD (a SEALs Undone novella) by ZOE YORK.

Country boy Jared was infatuated with his beautiful neighbor. She is a strong business woman, She didn't need any saving. I liked that. I'm so sick of the "damsel in distress' story line. Cassie is barren and that keeps her from finding any meaningful relationships. Men her age want a family not IVF. She Made a deal with Jared to only be friends. I don’t blame them, Relationships are tough. I really liked this Novella. Fighting their crushes because they liked the other person so much they wanted to be friends(they didn't want to lose that to sex). Believable characters, good story - That’s all I wanted haha. This was the best Novella I read in this bundle! I'm glad I did - I'm going to look into the rest of the series. It's rare that a novella can make me tear up but this did at the end.(let's hope that wasn't the wine) 4/5

Seal's of Winter: All the author s did a fantastic job of writing. Loved all the surprises that each author brought to this anthology.

The Navy Seal's Christmas Bride: An amazing hot romance. Loved the paces that Dan and Sarah put themselves through and the fun they had. Challenges were fantastic and it was great that Dan gave her a chance that just because she, not a Seal doesn't mean she can't do it. She gives as much as he does and that made a great story.

Flash Fire: Excellent, Hot, suspenseful! Fantastic writing! Loved the whole story!

A Seal for Christmas: I loved the Irish-Italian family. Seal's were all hot of course. I loved all the characters and the emotions that in this story. It was a wonderful romance.

Seal's Proposal: I loved that both Remy and Mitchell had tough jobs to understand what they both love to do. I loved the scenery. I liked that they chose a holiday to get away and the story had great suspense.

Yours For Christmas: Amazing characters! Hot romance!

Sealed until Christmas: I loved how Jesse's family was still so close even though he had been gone for several years. They still showed their love for him and how proud they were of him. I loved how Charlie didn't want to get close to anyone. It was a great romance.

Rules of Engagement: The concept of this story was wonderful. I loved the characters and how Derek cared so much for Callie even though she kept pushing him away. I loved the strong feelings that they had. It was great.

Under the Radar: Full of Surprises! Loved the characters and the animals. There was a lot what will happen and that really kept the readers want to know what was going to happen. It was fantastic!

Fall Hard: Jared was what Cassie need and vise versa for him. I loved that he was a special type of Seal. He might have had a rough life growing up but he didn't act that way. I loved how Jared taking things in stride. That's what makes him like no other man. It was well written.

This Navy SEAL is out to prove that women are nowhere near qualified to enter the elite forces of the military. Army soldier, Sara Metlin, is going to prove him wrong.
We're visiting Chance Creek again, which is a place I love to visit, with another fantastic story.

Jesse was on leave but didn't want to go home for the holidays. There were too many memories of the girl he loved and couldn't save, which is why he became a SEAL, to save those who can't save themselves. I loved all 9 of these stories but I'm going to review my three favorites:
The Navy SEAL's Christmas Bride - Cora Seton
This story had me laughing out loud at the antics between Dan Hemmins and Sarah Metlin. Sarah is bound and determined to prove that she's more than qualified to join special forces in the military and Dan is dead set on proving her wrong. What started out as a competition between soldiers quickly turns into a battle of the sexes that leaves them both hot and bothered. When Dan finally concedes that Sarah's an excellent soldier and an incredibly sexy woman, he stops at nothing to make her his forever. Between the competitions and the steamy sex scenes I couldn't stop reading until I got to the end. Sarah's determination is endearing and admirable. Dan's confidence and competitive edge made him oh so sexy!

A SEAL for Christmas - Jennifer Lowery
If I knew that I could meet someone like Donovan by getting hit by a car while riding my bicycle, I'd be on my way to buy a new bicycle! When Cloe gets hit by a crazy guy running a red light, Donovan quickly steps in to protect her from the guys insults. He even promises the EMTs to look after her since she refused to go to the hospital. One night of protection turns into a few days once the same crazy guy starts calling Cloe and threatening her, Donovan is determined not to let her out of his sight. Cloe, still apprehensive to letting people in after losing her family and her fiance last Christmas, is starting to slowly let Donovan into her heart. Donovan's multilingual seduction had me dreaming of Irish/Italian men! And his family was icing on the cake! They were like real people you want to go home and spend the holidays with!

SEALed Until Christmas - S.M. Butler
Jesse Richter and Charlie Morgan couldn't be more perfect for each other. Jesse, who is steal dealing with the death of his first love, believes that he can save everyone he comes across. Charlie, who has her own cross to bare, believes she doesn't need help from anyone. Little do they know that they are going to save each other from a lifetime of heartbreak and loneliness. Charlie's secrets may tear them apart but Jesse may just be strong enough to keep them together if he learns to let go of his guilt from the past. These two characters were so well-written that you could feel their emotions right along with them. You could fell the love between the two of them radiating off of the page. This was definitely one of my favorite stories in the collection!

Cora Seton
The Navy SEAL’s Christmas Bride. Meh. I loved that the heroine is a kick-ass, strong soldier. I liked that, in the end, the hero recognized how awesome she was. The in between part mostly irritated me - too competitive, not enough respect for her (and I know, I know, it’s only a fraction of what women in the military deal with, but she was supposed to be with friends). And the proverbial icing on the cake: the first time they have sex, it’s not good enough to do anything conventional. Nu-uh. It has to be memorable. Two words: handstand sex. I shit you not, they both do headstand/handstands and he goes up & down using his arms to stroke.

Elle Kennedy
Flash Fire. Love it! OMG, the tension almost killed me. A great story about Jen and Cash, with Carson and many others making appearances too. Made me want to go back and re-read all of the books. I loved that both Cash and Jen realized they had made a mistake, owned it, learned from it and apologized.

Jennifer Lowery
A SEAL for Christmas. Meh. The plot was good - woman who has lost family and fiance a year ago, is helped by a Navy SEAL home for the holidays. But then you throw in a mysterious Santa, who pops in and out of the story with vague promises, and the heroine who has been stuck in her grief for a year, is completely isolated and is able to shed all of the baggage in a couple of weeks?! I think the story would be stronger with a) no santa and b) a HFN ending instead of a HEA. Her recovery is so rushed.

Elle James
SEAL’s Proposal. Meh. More suspense/action than romance. The sex scenes were pretty mechanical and repetitive. And overuse of the word “member”.

Anne Marsh
Yours for Christmas. Sweet love story. Smexy times are mostly behind closed doors. Like the characters, small town setting and smoke jumpers plot line. Enough for me to check out the rest of the series.

S.M. Butler
SEALed until Christmas. Pretty good. Semi-serious and semi-suspenseful. Interesting characters, but writing was a bit clunky.

Delilah Devlin
Rules of engagement. Oh I liked this story. A lot. Very sweet and sexy.

Kimberley Troutte
Under the radar. Suspenseful, set in Alaska, with huskies and a sled. And bad guys too. The story is mid-series, I think, but read fine as a standalone. The love story is insta-love, and it works because the two characters are convincing.

Zoe York
Fall Hard. Sweet and sexy love story. The twist in this one? The hero, a Navy SEAL is a virgin. It's a good story.

Under the Radar by Kimberley Troutte is one of the nine romances in the SEALS of Winter anthology. I was given an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I love romantic suspense and I was swept up into this book as soon as I started reading.

You meet Ty Whitehorse, a SEAL helicopter pilot in the first chapter as he and a team mate are flying in a blizzard over Alaska on a "need to know" mission.
Holly Colton has moved to Alaska to start her new life. She is learning to be strong and independent - to be herself. Although she still struggles with flashbacks from her previous life, she is becoming stronger.
Holly and Ty are very realistic characters and well developed. I loved Ty's gentleness with Holly and her two dogs. Their chemistry was there from the beginning; and when they finally made love, it was slow and sweet.
The action starts in the first chapter and doesn't slow down until Ty and Holly meet. Then it slows down so that Ty and Holly can get to know each other better. Then it picks back up and doesn't slow down until the end. The epilogue was very satisfying because Ty and his team took care of Holly's past. This story was complete, the pacing of the story was perfect. There is a small cliff hanger in that the bad guy got away but it doesn't impact this story. I am sure that Kimberly wants him around for the next book in her SEAL Team III series.

A SEAL For Christmas by Jennifer Lowerey is part of the SEALS of Winter anthology. I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. I am so pleased that I got the opportunity to read this one.

Donovan Demarco is a Navy SEAL home to visit his family for Christmas. He is a strong Alpha with a heart of gold. Cloe Carter has come to this small town trying to run away from her grief and her survivor's guilt. Both of these characters were well developed by Jennifer. The plot was paced very well. I never got bored as I watched their relationship grow while Donovan is trying to protect Cloe from a man who has begun stalking her after a traffic accident.

Donovan comes from a very large family and the reader gets to meet all of them throughout the story. I actually fell in love with his family and I hope Jennifer writes more about them.

I am so glad that I have pre-ordered this boxed set because now I can't wait to read the other stories. After all, how can you go wrong with 9 books for $.99?

**I received this book from Netgalley for my honest review***

This is a collection of novellas from multiple different authors. They are all very good but my favorites that stood out are by authors ELLE KENNEDY, Elle James & Delilah Devlin.

Flash Fire is a story by Elle Kennedy which revisits a popular couple from Elle’s series “Out of Uniform”. You do not have to read their previous story to read this one. Cash and Jen have been dating awhile and he is ready to “put a ring” on it but before he can, Jen has plans of her own, which includes traveling out of the country to photograph in a war torn country. Cash and Jen argued over it and made up before she left. It is a great novella and there was a fantastic ending for this story.

A SEAL’s Proposal by Elle James- This is a story that is a follow up to SEAL’s Desire but can also stand on its own. Remy and Mitchell (who is a woman) have been living together and Remy wants to get engaged. Remy has planned a special Christmas holiday vacation and he has begged, borrowed and threatened to get the time off to get his woman to this special place. Remy has already bought the ring and he has prepared his speech but before any of that can happen, Mitchell, who works for the government , just finished prosecuting a bad guy , a really bad guy, has escaped and he threatened to come out Mitchell.
This is a fast paced story and will keep your interest. There is some real steamy parts and the ending will have you teary eyed.

Rules of Engagement By Delilah Devlin—This story is about Callie and Derek. Some months back he wanted to get married and go on to the SEALS. She wanted to stay in the small town and she didn’t want him to leave her for long periods of time. She wanted to stay in one place and plant her “roots”. Derek up and left, and Callie was left behind, in despair. She didn’t date, didn’t do much except think about what Derek was doing and who he was “doing it with.” Some , I believe, 8 months later Derek came back AND Callie wondered why.
Derek could never forgot about his love- he needed her and was going to give her one last chance before he moved on. He continuously checked up on her with family and friends and knew she didn’t date. He had hopes and he was back to see if they could give it one more try…The story was sweet, the sex was hot and the ending was beautiful.
I liked all the other stories in the novella but the ones above stood out to me the most.

My rating: 4.8 stars ****

SEALS of Winter box set includes 9 military romances, each by a different author. Each and every book in this set, kept me entertained and that usually doesn't happen when I read box sets. I usually only like, one or two of the stories in box sets, but this box set, all 9 were thoroughly enjoyed. Since all 9 stories were great, I am only going to mention my top 3 favorites.

The Navy Seal's Christmas Bride by Cora Seton, was a joy to read. This was actually my first book from this author, but after reading this, I went and bought her previous Navy Seal books. I loved Dan and Sarah. Sarah was completely awesome. She never backed down from any challenge and it was refreshing to read about a female soldier. Dan was great, and I loved how once he got to know Sarah, he learned not to count her out, just because she was a woman and because she was just "plain army" I really liked how the author had Sarah beat Dan in one of the challenges and because of that, he had to go streaking. Great characters and fantastic stroyline.

Flash Fire by Elle Kennedy is another great read. Cash and Jen definitely set my emotions on fire. As a Navy Seal, Cash is used to danger, and Jen accepts that, but when Jen, has to put herself in danger for a story, Cash tries to put his foot down. I actually cried when Jen was in trouble and they had to tell Cash. This is definitely a story, you don't want to miss.

Fall Hard by the talented Zoe York. Fall Hard is a short and quick novella, that will leave you wanting to read more from this author. Fall Hard definitely impressed me, because while the story was short, I wasn't missing anything. Everything in the story was tied up, so I wasn't left guessing about anything. The characters were well developed and loveable. Jared is definitely my current book boyfriend. Who could resist a sexy, virgin military man with morals. Cassie is perfect for him. Cassie is a strong female, who supports Jared and his career, and that makes her one of my favorite type of females. The sexual tension between these two characters kept building, page by page, until they couldn't fight it anymore. Fall Hard is a well-written work of art, that I will be re-reading over and over again. Zoe York is definitely a favorite author and her books are must reads!

I just finished SEAL'S PROPOSAL by Elle James. I have had a chance to read quite a few books in the Take No Prisoners series and I have loved them all.

Elle James has a way of writing a story that grabs my attention from the first page and holds on tight until the end. I read SEAL'S PROPOSAL in one setting. There was so much going on that I had to find out what was going to happen to Remy and Mitchell next.

Remy returns home from his current mission with another mission on his mind. He wants to ask Mitchell to marry him. However he has to convince this strong independent woman that they will make a great team for life.

Mitchell is busy with an escaped convict when Remy returns home. However when they finally get a chance to celebrate Remy's home coming they warm things up really quick.

Not only is this one wild ride of a dramatic story it's also a nice steamy read that will warm you up during the cold winter months.

I really enjoy Elle James' work. She is one talented lady that always writes a story that I can not put down. I can't wait to see what fun she has in store for us lucky readers next.

Like I said SEAL'S PROPOSAL is part of the Take No Prisoners series but you will not have any problem reading it as a stand alone. If you have read the other books in the series though you will find this is a revisit with two of my favorite characters. Remy and Mitchell were in the very first book I had a chance to read by Elle James and their story is what hooked me on her writing.

I was given the opportunity to read this story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you on this great story.

SEAL'S PROPOSAL is currently part of the SEALs of Winter: A military romance superbundle. I have not had a chance to read the other stories in this great bundle yet. However if they are half as great as Elle James' Seal's Proposal then you are going to love this set.

Book provided by NetGalley

I told myself I would only start reading this a week before christmas, but I already read all of the short stories I wanted to read. Bad me. LOL, now I'm in a mood for christmas.

A Seal For Christmas by Jennifer Lowery ~ 4,5 stars
This was my favourite. It was sweet with a potion of danger. I loved Donovan's big family, they were this noisy but lovely bunch of people. I would have loved a full novel.

Fall Hard by Zoe York ~ 4,5 stars
Both main characters were really sweet. When the story starts the are something like friends, but that changes and they are really cute while fulfilling their promise of three dates before actual sex. This little tidbit of information about Jared being a virgin was also not excepted, but made him look more mature (don't ask me why, just felt that way).

So the rating for only this two short stories is:
4,5 out of 5 stars

This book is actually 9 books into 1 collection. It is fun to have on your mobile e-reader, since you can read as you go and enjoy each title in its own time.

The stories are:

THE NAVY SEAL'S CHRISTMAS BRIDE by CORA SETON
FLASH FIRE by ELLE KENNEDY
A SEAL FOR CHRISTMAS by JENNIFER LOWERY
SEAL'S PROPOSAL (Take No Prisoners) by ELLE JAMES
YOURS FOR CHRISTMAS by ANNE MARSH
SEALED UNTIL CHRISTMAS by S.M. BUTLER
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT by DELILAH DEVLIN
UNDER THE RADAR (SEAL EXtreme Team III) by KIMBERLEY TROUTTE
FALL HARD (SEALs Undone) by ZOE YORK

What I found that was just awesome was that most of these stories were parts of a series and I can read more about these characters and their fine looking friends. I think the fact that the NAVY SEALS are basically unsung heroes makes them supreme in my opinion helps me look for books with them inside.

I found that I liked some, more than others - I cannot tell a lie. However, as far as a collection of stories goes it is a rather awesome gathering of stories put together. Would make a great Christmas or birthday gift and is out for purchase now!

Check them out and you will agree. It is hard to not enjoy a story with a hot hunk who is a hero who just wants to come home and love his woman. My next move is to get me some more of these amazing hard bodies in the stories that connect to their series. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!!

I read two of the stories for authors and have purchased the set and will look forward to reading the rest of the stories. I am leaving 2 reviews today. I love box sets and think it is a wonderful way to met new authors and enjoy those we alreay love.

A SEAL FOR CHRISTMAS by Jennifer Lowery

Cloe Carter was on her bike heading to the grocery store when a man ran a red light and hit her and then blamed her for the accident. Donovan Demarco, a Navy SEAL, home for the Christmas holiday, came to her rescue. This story covers the pain and heart ache that Cloe is living with, and why Christmas is so painful for her. Donovan has his demons to deal with also. This story has many emotions, pain, loss, regrets, forgiveness, and new beginnings. It has a mystery/suspense element to the story too.

UNDER THE RADAR By Kimberley Troutte

This story is a page turner. We meet Holly Colton, a young woman from KY who is living in Alaska running a Dog Sled and doing tours. She goes out on a run with her two dogs, lead dog Lucy and Conan. The story involves hearing gun shots and a moose. Then we have a helicopter with SEAL Ty Whitehorse and his IT passenger Preston. Ty is in the dark as to why he is flying Preston over the Alaska wilderness. Why is someone shooting at them. This story offers mystery, suspense, espionage, a wife-beater, SEALs, two strangers meeting and finding that special spark, and a great military romance story.

This is a review for Seal's Proposal. I loved Remy and Mitchell's story and how they worked through the the obstacles that they had in the first story. I really enjoyed this story because we get to catch up with Remy and Mitchell again. Things have been going great for the two of them and Remy is ready to propose and take the next step with Mitchell but is worried about where Mitchell stands regarding marriage. He has an awesome vacation planned out to show Mitchell how much he loves her and to propose on Christmas. But, they of course have something pop up. The bad guy from their first story breaks out after being sentenced and is after Mitchell.
I loved how this story progressed and what we got to witness woth high Mitchell and Remy. We get to see more of them and their relationship because at this point it is well established and one of them isn't undercover ;). I was so happy to get to see more of them and to get a close look of their happy ever after. There is not any real interaction with the other SEAL members. The story is really well written and flows really well. This story focuses more on their relationship than a lot of action but it is not slow or boring. It draws you in and the action that is there just emphasizes the rest of the story and thy blend really well together. I love this series and I can't wait for more.

Now to finish reading the anthology. I had to read this one first though :).

Have read two steamy romances from the superbundle:
"Under the Radar," by Kimberley Troutte. A stormy Alaskan SEALS adventurous romance. Featuring Ty, Holly, Conan and Lucy versus the deadly Alaskan winter and Crow and his evil SBs. Ty is here on a supposedly routine surveillance mission (without his Seals Extreme teammates). The hostile actions of Crow, change the mission instead to life and death.
Holly, her dogs and sled unexpectedly join the mission; the fight for survival ensures! Can they survive and relay information vital to national security? You'll enjoy turning the pages to find out!
"Fall Hard," by Zoe York. A hot romantic Seal story. Jared isn't into serious dating since he's a SEAL and has 14 years of overseas missions to fulfill-not wise to form a serious relationship under these conditions. Besides, he has a secret!
Cassie's a gourmet cook who lives next door to Jared. She's recently divorced and gun shy of men. She too has a secret! The story gets even more tantalizing from there! Didn't want it to end! These sizzling stories will hook you and reel you in! And there's 7 more!
I was given these two stories free for an honest review.

This review is for Seal For Christmas by Jennifer Lowery part of the Seals of Winter anthology.

Donovan and Cloe weren't looking for love but a turn of events resulted in Donovan becoming Cloe's protector. Donovan is done with love especially after having his ex leave him without a word. But there's just something about Cloe that he finds himself drawn to and wanting to make her smile and feel happy. With Donovan's Irish and Italian blood and family, it makes it difficult for Cloe to feel alone and not in a festive mood.

Cloe had a painful Christmas just a year ago and she wasn't gonna to ever be happy or celebrate Christmas. However, she has become a target for malice and a handsome seal has taken upon himself to be her protector. She wasn't allowing herself to feel for anyone anymore but it was hard trying to deny the sparks between her and Donovan and this seal somehow is making her feel more than she had ever felt for anyone.

This is such a romantic novella and definitely perfect for the holidays. This is my first book by this author and it won't be my last.

I was gifted a copy of the Seal For Christmas novella by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Wow! This is a Christmas present I’d like to find under my tree. A Seal for Christmas is making me change my Christmas wish list. Donovan Demarco comes to Cloe Carter’s aid when she has an accident. Cloe just wants to continue her life silent and alone even if it is the holidays. Donovan finds himself and his Seal teammates protecting Cloe when she is threatened. Donovan and Cloe are intensely attracted to each other and falling fast. But both know why it can’t be serious for their own reasons. They have both suffered heartache and aren’t ready to risk their hearts again. Thank goodness for family! Donovan’s family takes Cloe under their wing and reminds her of the good times of the holiday season. I really enjoyed the way that the Demarco family was fully of life and was a close knit family. I didn’t need to read any of the other books about Donovan and his teammates to enjoy this sparkling holiday treat.

What I loved the most about this bundle was that all the books had one thing (other than featuring SEALS) in common--strong heroines. Few things aggravate me more than when a heroine is weak and whiny, sitting back and expecting other people to solve their problems. In these stories the women stand up and, in a few cases, face life-threatening situations head-on.

It's rare for me to rate a bundle as five stars because there's usually always one or two stories that I don't like or enjoy as much as the others. This is not the case here. I loved each story.

These are a part of an existing series by each author, but I haven't read any of the other books prior to this and I didn't feel like I was missing any of the backstory for any of them. I enjoyed these so much though that I'd like to go back and read some of the prior books.

I received an ARC of Fall Hard by Zoe York for an honest review.

The story was amazing! This is Zoe York's best writing, yet. The characters were well developed, and the story beautifully unfolded. I usually prefer a strong cast of secondary characters in a novel. Given that this was a novella, the sole focus was on Jared and Cassie, and surprisingly I didn't miss having a cast of characters at all. Jared is a wonderful and unique hero, given that the premise of the story largely focuses on his virginity. He is a dream character....communicative, insightful, honest, and a bit of a dirty talker, too. The sex scenes (and there were many...Jared's been waiting a long time!) were some of the steamiest and most descriptive that I've read. If you're looking for a quick, hot, romantic read, then this should be your next book!

I love Christmas and SEALs, so I bought this bundle without reading anything beyond the title! As expected, it was a great collection at a great price! I enjoyed all of the stories, but I think my two favorites were FLASH FIRE by Elle Kennedy and A SEAL FOR CHRISTMAS by Jennifer Lowery.

I adored Jen and Cash from FLASH FIRE, and it was nice to read about two people already in a great relationship. Jen takes a dangerous assignment, and Cash has to learn how it feels when the one you love is in danger.

Donovan in A SEAL FOR CHRISTMAS is Italian as well as a SEAL, which is a perfect combination. He helps Cloe when she is hit by a car and later stalked by the driver. It was great to see Cloe become a part of Donovan's close knit family.

The other stories in the bundle were also great, and I can't wait to read more by these authors!

So far I've only read A Seal for Christmas by Jennifer Lowery but will add to review as I get through the rest of the stories.

Donovan Demarco is a SEAL just home from a long deployment to enjoy the holidays with his family but Santa has other ideas for him in this Christmas adventure. Not home for 2 days and he is rescuing damsel in distress Cloe Carter from more than he knows and falling hard. I love these instant attraction, gotta spend the rest of my days with the person stories when done right and Miss Lowery knows how to do them right. Have a read and see for yourself and I know the rest of the stories by the rest of the authors in this bundle won't let me down either so I'm off to get them read..... Happy Reading!

This is such an awesome box set!

I had an opportunity to read Cora Seton's portion of this set, The Navy Seal's Christmas Bride and I loved it! This story is about Dan and Sarah. Dan just discharged from the SEALs and he's looking for a place to build his business venture. Sarah is a soldier from the Army who is looking to end her Army career. The two of them meet around Christmas at their mutual friends' ranch and automatically start competing with each other. They have their ups and downs but eventually sparks fly!

Loved this story! Loved that the female lead was strong and refused to back down from any challenge and I liked the fact that the male lead recognized the strength in the female lead and encouraged her to be strong!

This boxed set features a great collection of romances involving Navy SEALS and the women who capture their heart with a holiday theme. While I have read the works of several of these authors before I love that I had a chance to sample new authors in the collection. Since I knew I already liked some of these authors, it was a great opportunity to read the next installment in their respective series. Plus I had the added bonus of finding a few new authors to add to my must read list. I particularly enjoyed the contributions by Cora Seton, Elle Kennedy, Elle James and Jennifer Lowery. Looks like my TBR pile just got bigger!
