When Lauren steps onto her old Atlanta college campus to move her son into the dorms, she expects nostalgia. She doesn’t expect the impossible. In the span of one perfect hour, she is inexplicably transported back in time—to her senior year, to her twenty-two-year-old self, and to Will.

Will. The guy who was always there. The one who knew her better than anyone. The one she pushed away—just weeks before a tragic accident took his life and left her with nearly two decades of regret.

Now, something beyond explanation has given Lauren a glimpse of the past. A second chance. And if it happened once, could it happen again?

As memories of their laughter-filled evenings, ridiculous stories, outdoor adventures, and flirtatious cooking sessions rush back, Lauren becomes desperate to return—to the time when he was still within reach. As she unravels the truth behind her time-slipping experience, one thing becomes this was never just a memory. Time is bending for her. But can she rewrite fate before it’s too late?

This Time is a genre-blending novel that combines magical realism, emotional women’s fiction, and slow-burn second chance romance. Set on the campus of Georgia Tech, it’s a story of love, grief, and rediscovery—where memory collides with fate and the future you’re meant for may begin in the past.

Perfect for fans of The Midnight Library, The Time Traveler’s Wife, and Maybe in Another Life, this novel offers a poignant, page-turning experience for anyone who’s ever wished they could go back—not just to relive the past, but to finally get it right.

GOODREADS GIVEAWAY WIN, Thank you, C.M. Burdell. Basically, I liked the book. The premise of the story made it interesting. It can be gut-wrenching to look back at our younger selves and realize how our lack of maturity and experience can change the trajectory of our lives and affect others. The chance for an actual "do-over" would be very, very tempting. In this case, Lauren had good reason to go back. Another plus to this book is the authentic depiction of college life and college student behavior.

This author has potential, but the writing lacked craft. The prose tended to be wordy and sometimes contained unnecessary details. If a more substantial backstory on Lauren had been provided, her attraction to Eric, her struggle with anxiety, and her fear of losing Will's friendship would possibly have made more sense. She just came off as so clueless in so many ways.
