“Twisted Enemy” is the second book in the “Diamond Ring Taming the Mob Princess Trilogy.” This is a raw, emotionally charged dark romance featuring he falls first and hurt/comfort. This fractured fairytale reveals an arranged marriage that transforms enemies to lovers in the spiciest ways imaginable. This book is very intense, both personally and professionally as both Kate and Cole evolve and learn to trust each other.
Two weeks after running away, Kate realises that Cole is whom she needs, she comes homes….Cole is the dominant and Kate is his submissive. The activities in the BDSM room calm her demons and brings her closer to Cole, who has his own issues. Individually, they are broken, but together, as a couple, they start to bring out the best in each other. In reality, they calm each other.

This book had me hooked from the start! Being a Mafia Romance story, it is dark in places, violent at times, passionate in places, full of secrets, loyalties tested and let’s not forget the heat between them. You will fall in love with
Cole and Kate, hoping that everything with work out for them and if they have a future together. There is never a dull moment - you will be hooked! I know I was - just love these two! A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

This story gets hotter and hotter!
This series is very hard to put down and I don't, I just keep turning the pages.It seems that everything Cole and Kate make some head way something or some one makes take ten steps back.It seems people with greed keep coming out of the woodwork and going after Cole.Kate finally get to settle her past and now someone else steps up to the plate making more demands of both Cole and Kate.Her Mam is no better off,she is a greedy, wicked women,especially when it comes to Kate and Kate wanted to help her father and her Mam said no and her sister ended in the same place where Kate was force to live before she was forced to marry Cole.I can't wait to finish the story of this series and I will be sad ,this author is so good,the books are filled with mystery, greed,hate and some softness and a little love! Well off to finish the last of the series and I guess right who was behind the blackmailing, but now Cole and Kate are dealt with more blackmail!

After having read the first book in Kate and Cole’s story, I could hardly wait to start this book and I was not disappointed.
After reading Alix’s story, it was nice to see her again in her role as a self-taught art expert at Freeport. I love art and so I enjoyed Cole’s penchant for expensive art, I wish I could have my own Frida Kahlo painting. Without giving any spoilers this does play an important part of the story.
Aside from Alix, I enjoyed learning more about Kate’s backstory, and her experience with the bad men.
There was less spice than book one, but the well paced story and action kept me engaged. To be candid, some of the BDSM stuff isn’t up my alley, but it doesn’t diminish my enjoyment of the book. This is a little more violent than book one, but wasn’t off putting. I find Alix’s books difficult to fall asleep to because they are so engrossing and hard to put down.
I had to stop myself from diving into book three, so I could write this review. If you’ll excuse me I have to go see how their story ends.

I loved the second instalment in this trilogy - didn't see the cliff hanger coming...at all! Fab characters, lovely dynamic and just really well written.

This is Part 2 of the Trilogy - Taming the Mob Princess. Knowing this book ends in a cliffhanger, I chose to wait to read it until I could read all 3 books back to back, which I am glad I did, but that's a personal preference.... I prefer to read the next book when the prior one is fresh in my mind as I get more out of it. (Which is great for all readers, since all 3 books are set to be published May 21, 2026!!)
While this is a Mafia romance, it also has a huge focus on hacking/computer skills, which is fun and unique.
Kate & Cole both have huge family trauma/history and are broken in their own way...
I like how the author keeps giving us glimpses into the past, little nuggets here & there that help us understand the main characters better. I like the characters & found the book to be well written with good foreshadowing & glimpses into the past. I look forward to the rest of the series!!!

I appreciate how Cole & Kate both keep giving each other grace, communicate well instead of holding grudges & keep trying to make it work with each other, through everything they go through. The books are fast paced with a lot going on & a lot of moving parts. I love Kate's grandma & the part she plays in the books.

The characters were very complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and exciting and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. All in all a great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend!

This is the second book in this series, starting with Taken Enemy. If you haven’t read it you must to grasp this story. Kate and Cole are facing drama, greed, and a bit of chaos. It seems like every time they try to get to level ground in their relationship something happens. You can’t describe the story fully without giving away a spoiler, so be prepared for suspense, tension, spice and so much more. It does end with a cliffhanger so be prepared.
