A funeral gone wrong. A coffin that shouldn’t be opened. And Ettie Smith caught in the middle—again.
Ettie Smith attends what should have been a simple Amish burial—quiet, respectful, and without incident. But when unexpected chaos disrupts the service, the grieving community is left with more questions than comfort.
Something isn’t right.
With murmurs of mistakes and secrets no one wants to speak aloud, Ettie and her sister Elsa-May set out to find answers. But the deeper they dig, the more tangled the truth becomes. Between suspicious relatives, a flustered funeral director, and a detective who’s had enough of Ettie’s 'help,' it’s clear this case won’t stay buried.
If you enjoy Amish cozy mysteries filled with small-town secrets, sharp-witted senior sleuths, and just the right amount ofmischief, you’ll need to read Amish Burial Blunder—another unforgettable case in the beloved Ettie Smith Amish Mysteries.

Only Ettie and her sister, Elsa-May could innocently attend a funeral and end up get involved in a murder, a scam operation, and a missing person investigation. This sister duo can’t seem to stay away from any excitement that happens in their community.
This investigation by the sisters is unique to say the least. There is a missing body, a suspected scam artist, and community members that are pulled into the scam; how are the girls going to untangle this mess. What would detective Kelly do without these girls? Even though he doesn’t want to admit it, he wouldn’t want to.
Samantha Price always gives us such a fun mystery with these two adorable older sisters. As you read you think you might have uncovered what’s going on and then Ms. Price gives the story such a turn that you have no idea where things are going next. There are always more loose ends to tie up than the law allows.
The story has wonderful characters and is very well written.

One-night read. Ettie and her sister can't help getting involved in local mysteries. Of course, the Detective encourages their behavior. And they are good at it! This is a cute series about two older Amish sisters who find themselves solving crimes. It's amazing all the escapades they find themselves in. This time the mystery involves an unknown corpse.
I am so appreciative that Samantha Price is able to write such entertaining stories. I know what to expect. I know I'll enjoy the story. I know that there will not be anything offensive.
I have read this whole series on Kindle Unlimited, and though I find the author rather hit and miss on many of her other series, this one is usually a hit. I love the quirkiness of the sisters and how they are constantly bickering. The one thing I’ve never figured out is why it isn’t called the Ettie and Elsa-May Amish Mysteries, or the Quirky Sisters Amish Mysteries, or something else, because Elsa-May is as important to the books as Ettie is. Anyway, the plot was a good one, and even though I usually do guess at least part of the mystery, it is still a fun series to read.
Even an Amish burial cannot escape the sleuthing abilities of Ettie and Elsa-May! Secrets appears so deeply hidden, the truth will be hard to come by, despite their knack for solving the most difficult of cases. What can they “pull from their hat” this time? Another delightful story by a delightful author!
A missing body to a missing person and absolute shock at a funeral, has Ettie and Elsa-May written all over it! This book is a suspenseful easy and fun read. The sister’s banter towards each other is so relatable. All the characters are great even the pup and the cat. Definitely a page turner wondering who did it.
Ettie and Elsa-Mae are my absolute favourite people. I love reading about their antics and how much fun they have. I cannot wait until their next caper.
