A rather simple yet interesting autobiography about the Mayo family who started the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. It is an epic story starting in the 1800's and ending in Charles Mayo's death in 1968. Many stories about family are recounted in a endearing way along with events during the Korean War. They could be anyone's American family, yet they saved many lives, and still have the Mayo Clinic as their ongoing legacy.
