Jim Lawrence has written fiction extensively for both children and adults in a variety of media: books, magazine articles, film and radio scripts, and comic strips, including "decision" strips. He estimates that he has written some sixty books of fiction, many of them under pen names for series like Tom Swift Jr. and Nancy Drew. His radio credits include weekly scripts for Sergeant Preston of the Yukon, The Green Hornet, and Sky King. He has written for, and in some cases created and illustrated, the comic strips Dallas, Joe Palooka, Captain Easy, Friday Foster, and Buck Rogers. To date, he has authored two works of interactive fiction: Seastalker and Moonmist.
The longer Lawrence worked with Bond, the more tedious his work got. There are good moments, mostly with the rough art, but man those stories aren't so good most of the time.
Compilation of two of the James Bond newspaper comics: THE PARADISE PLOT and DEATHMASK. Average stories but unusual plots, at least for 007, as they have certain apparently supernatural elements in them: one about a messianic cult, the other about viral murders that totally deform the victims' facial features. Worth a read for a James Bond Fan but altogether not too memorable.
I preffered these larger format books, obviously the strip s are bigger to read than the much smaller Omnibus reprints .Jim Lawrence returned as illustrater following the departure of Horak .
Compilation of The Paradise Plot and Death mask - two pure pulp fiction stories with sexy molls who wilfully sleep with Bond. This book had better print - large don't. Easier to read.
