WOW. okay so this review is going to have spoilers because I just cannot talk about what happened.
I want to say I am content with the decision that Katie made in choosing Beau. I feel like that was always going to happen because they just connected in such a different way than what she had with Brad. I feel so bad for Brad because I really wanted him to be endgame. but I get it, what she felt for Brad is incomparable to what she feels with Beau. this one had all the suspense. I did not see Wesley and Allison dying AT ALL. that came out of left field. I KNEW IT ABOUT ELLIOT. I CALLED IT. in the second book at the start he was giving me Joe Goldberg vibes and not the good kind. he was just giving me major creepy vibes and then to find out he was the one pulling the strings the entire time quite literally blew my mind.
I am so happy that Katie finally started working towards herself and for herself and I am happy that she had Brad and Beau because with each of her lovers she discovered something new about herself and that would not have been possible without each of them. the ending and her being pregnant warmed my heart because she always wanted a family and she never thought she was going to have one. and for it to be Brad's im honestly so happy about it because even though they did not work it they still are friends and he helped her with so much. BUT THE REAL PLOT TWIST WAS FINDING OUT THAT BRAD KILLED WESLEY. that I did not EXPECT AT ALL. AND FOR U TO TELL US IN THE LAST 96% OF THE BOOK. CRIMINAL. that was honestly WILD. I never expected it to be him to kill someone. and then we he came back the next day to find the body had disappeared, I don't know if Elliot knew that he was the one who killed him. and then Jeff dying :( and not just Jeff but Mary too (even though I hate that bitch) but to find out that their own son killed his parents jeeeez.
I need Brad to get a book, because five years later Katie still gives him butterflies even though she has been with Beau ever since and the way that he let her go because he knew that her and Beau would eventually make their way back to each other but not only that, he let her go for her happiness even if that meant he would not be happy but he gave him the greatest gift of all, their daughter Addie.
I meant what I told Katie all the years ago. I don't live with regrets because there's no place for those in my life. But when I look at Addie in the backseat, I regret taking the coward's way out. It was easier to step aside than have my heart broke. when Katie inevitably chose Beau. At least this way, I can pretend it was my choice. --- my heart ..... I need him to get a book.
I loved this series. will definitely recommend.

Fucking fantastic first book but the second book… you’ve got to be fucking kidding me. Major spoiler BUT WHY DOES SHE END UP WITH BEAU? Beau was a walking read flag who was drunk 99 percent of the time who left her with no goodbye after accidentally punching her. Her, who aka, was abused in her last relationship 😳. God this book had such an amazing plot and beautiful writing where I could picture everything in my head vividly, but how could you make me love Brad and then being Beau back into the picture mid second book? Like I was done with his ass and rooting for Brad who was pretty damn perfect for Katie. They had such a good banter and he never made her feel unsafe unlike Beau. Even after he accidentally punched her, he fucking choked her while they were fucking against that tree and scared the bajezzus out of her. AND SHE STILL GOT WITH HIM. Omg and don’t get me started on how she had Brads baby and then we find out he’s the one who killed Wesley because he loved Katie so much and still did even in the epilogue…. Anyways, four stars even though this shit is gonna have me up at night for the next week. Definitely would recommend cause I would like other people to go through the trauma of reading this duology. Oh also, I fucking knew it was Elliot. That bitch was sus and I knew she wasn’t dreaming of him.
