Deep (Diego Montana) is an upscale male stripper with a thick member that can bring a woman’s fantasy to life. It is his goal to be the best stripper a woman has ever seen, find his soul mate, and settle down—even if he has to “screw a thousand women in the process.” Deep understands achieving that goal will be difficult.

Eden is the co-owner of High Society, a Philadelphia bar. She is bored with her current boyfriend, Indio, because he is sexually unimaginative, inhibited, and nerdy. After a failed attempt to seduce him, Eden ends the relationship. She meets Deep the same night, and there is an instant connection. Deep and Eden have mind-blowing sex.

Because of Deep’s web of deception, the story builds to an intense climax and the author does an admirable job of resolving important professional loose ends while leaving room for personal possibilities. Deep: Don’t Knock it Novel #2, by Lyla Marie Rose, is easy to read, and flows somewhat seamlessly. The book could have benefitted from a final edit which would have eliminated extraneous dialogue by characters who did not add to the story’s plot, and many of the gratuitous references to the importance of Deep’s semen. There were a few grammatical errors, none of which caused any confusion or took away from the book’s enjoyment. Because this book is erotica, and therefore contains graphic sexual content, it should not be read by anyone under eighteen years of age. I plan to backtrack and read the first book in the series, Dare: A Don’t Knock it Novel #1.

Heading: In…Too Deep

When Deep first laid eyes on Eden, the owner of the club High Society, he knew there was something special between them. To ensure that that his professional life and his personal life did not interfere with each other, he decided not to be among the male revue dancers hired to dance at Eden’s club.

Eden felt the electricity between herself and Deep, and their undeniable attraction to each other came about in a way that knocked Eden off of her feet, literally. Although Deep told Eden that he danced for a living, there was much more that felt he could not reveal to her. His love for Eden changed the way he viewed life and what he wanted to have with her, something he did not want to lose.

Just when Deep decided to make an important change in his life, the one connection between he and Eden was Liz, Deep’s business partner, who knew enough about Deep to make him or break him. Will this pseudo three-way business, love-lust deal ruin Liz’s business and Deep and Eden’s relationship, or will they all benefit from this association.

I enjoyed reading Deep – Don’t Knock It because of the story of true love in the midst of lust. I recommend this book to everyone who loves erotica and romance stories.

Eden owns a bar called High Society that was very successful until another bar opened nearby and started taking some of her business. She desperately needs to make some changes to get her business back in the black which gets her to phone Liz. Liz books venues for her male exotic dancers which she pushes into doing more than just dance for the customers. When Eden meets Deep, he doesn't let on that he is an exotic dancer thinking that she would dump him fast if she found out about his job.

This story is about Deep's life. It lets us take a look at a way of life most have no idea about. Even though it was not my usual type of book because it was very steamy and erotic, it was well written with great detail. Not to mention the fact that this was all wrapped up in a steamy package that will leave you drooling. It does need editing. One thing in particular stood out for me and that was the line "I let her give me brain." I am sure 'brain' should have been 'head'. But maybe she did give him a brain! I don't think so though.

Deep was a nice guy because he was only dancing, etc. to make money to pay for his mother's hospital bills. Eden was okay but didn't stand out as a great woman. The way she met Deep and has sex with him right away was not believable.

Please note I received a complementary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I received this book from the author for a review....

This is the first book I have read from this author when she sent it to me I was unaware this was part of a series. Eden is the owner of a bar called High Society and she is struggling to make ends meet. She meets Liz who runs an exotic dancer business. As we read on we see that Liz is really a pimp and tries to control the dancers and this is where Deep comes in. He has his own issues with his mom and needing money very badly. Deep dances and does other things under Liz however Liz wants more and demonstrates that when Him and Eden get involved.

I started out interested because the blurb was so interesting I couldn't pass it up. However reading it is another issue. The characters weren't as developed as I thought they were going to be. Deep's character is whiny, obsessive and very dependent. I thought he would be an alpha male and that is far from the truth. Eden is one dimensional and there is no personality there at all. The story line was very intriguing but there was a lack of detail that made the story undeliverable.

The book needs work and hopefully on the next one we can see more development within the relationships and we can get the details instead of just sex and body observations.

The prologue states that this is Deep's story but starts off with some good sexy good times between Adonis and Eden. It was hot but I wanted to know more about Deep., not Adonis. But that was a personal preference. I think part of the 2nd chapter wasn't needed but it didn't provide some type of back story. In the beginning, I thought Deep was going to be the crazy one. He talks about getting attached to someone when he cums inside them. I thought, is he going to get possessive and crazy? Turns out he wasn't the crazy one and the crazy on that character was sooo good. All in all, I rate this a strong 4 and will definitely read the next one in this series when/if there is one.
The Good: This book was a great follow up to Dare. The story and the characters were interesting and kept me interested.
The Bad: There were a couple of places I felt to be a bit confusing and some, unnecessary. It wasn't enough to make me stop reading so I guess it didn't really matter.
The Ugly: There isn't a third part out yet and that's just wrong :)

The blurb for Deep pulled me in and I knew I wanted to read it. This was the first book I have read by Ms Ross. I think the book had potential but for me it fell flat.

I thought that the book didn't have much of a story line; it was just lots of sex. The sex scenes were okay but for me at times the author used strange verbiage that ruined the moment.

I felt like their wasn't much character development; therefore I didn't connect with them. Some chapters were told in the first person and some in third person, this was frustrating to me.

I liked the concept of the story and I think if the author reworks it and adds some more details it could be a good book.

Good storyline and character development. Author has good storytelling ability and the book flowed seamlessly and transitioned well between erotica and suspense. Since this is erotica (with some elements of romance) people who are sexually conservative or those under 18, would do well to not read this series. This was the first book by Lyla M. Ross that I've read, but I am going to go back and read book ! in the series and then eagerly await book 3.

This book was given to me by the author for an honest review.

This book just didn't do it for me. I didn't believe either of the MC's. Deep's whole 'power of sperm' theory was too far out there for me (and I read paranormal books). I did like what Deep said about kissing when he asked Eden for one more kiss.

I'm sorry but I can't recommend this title.

Very good!!! Good story plot and interesting characters. Don't know what I would if I was in Eden's shoes but I understand her feelings. I would recommend this book to any one who likes a good erotic story. I have to read more books by Lyla Marie Ross.
