They are offered help, but will it be enough to once again overcome the forces working against them? The highly misunderstood forces in play will either help or hinder them; the question is, who do they trust?

RATING 3.5 STARS

This is the third book in the Soul Saver series by Miranda Shanklin. We once again join Annisa, Chase, Landon, Penelope, Rayne and Ethan on their quest to protect the Origin from anyone wanting to cause harm. We go up against new baddies in Kynzie and Dalton, a couple of new teenage WICCANS who have been led to believe our gang are the bad guys by the Counsel.

In this portion, we see the relationships in the group tested in ways they never have before, and it was nice to see more growth in the characters. We learn about golems and goblins, and of witches familiars. We make new friends along the way. I enjoy this story by Miranda, it took me a bit to get into at the beginning but now at the end of the third I am excited to see where the characters go in the two remaining books in the series. There are still a few things I struggle with but nothing that really takes away from the enjoyment of the story. I give this book a solid 3.5 star review and can't wait to see more from Miranda.

Annissa and her group of friends are back in this thrilling tale of love and mystery. When two students move into town, Annissa senses they are different, but the feeling she has is not one she's ever felt before. When they start to realize that their attitudes are changing as well as everyone else's around them, they will stop at nothing to keep the balance between good and evil. Annissa is taken, Chase goes crazy because Annissa is under a spell and refuses to allow Chase to talk to her., and to make matters worse, the Thunderbirds have arrived as well as the phoenix's. What is going on? Will they find Annissa? Will they be able to stop the evil that has come for them? Will the Thunderbirds live up to their true name and destroy everything in sight? What secret has Priscilla and Rayne been hiding?

I received this copy in return for an honest review.
I enjoyed this book more than the other two. Miranda's style of writing is making more sense to me now. I love how she really explains things to us. In the first two, I though it was a lot of repeating, but now I understand why. There is some sort of action in every chapter. What these kids have to go through to protect the Origin. I love Witch stories! All in all, it was a page turner. Now off for the fourth book. Need to hurry so I can read the fifth she just sent me.

This is a fantastic series if you anjoy witches and paranormal. The series is well put together, each book they have a new challenge yet there's a deep overarching plot that brings the stories together and keeps me reading. Each new book is another piece to the journey the six are taking and is filled with growing pains making the plot so real.

In this book Anissa is touched by darkness. This goes against everyting Anissa is, caring, compassionate and kind. The darkness drives her into doing things very out of character and compulsive but that's only half the battle as a wedge is driven between her and soulmate Chase. The six have to rid the darkness before it takes its toll on helpless humans.

I normally don't always like a new narrator in a series but Molly Merseal does it seemlessly and keeps good pacing with the plot and characters. Definitely one to check out!
