Louisa Black is the author of Coming Back Through Grace, her first piece of non-fiction.
It is the first of, hopefully, many non-fiction pieces designed to strengthen those who have fallen away from Christ or struggling, as she once did.
A deeply committed believer in Christ and on the biggest adventure of her life, she is dividing up her time between fiction and non-fiction works that will one day change a little part of someone's world as other author's works have done for her.

Coming Back through Grace is an open and honest testimony of Louisa Black's walk in life and how she discovered God's grace so much deeper in her life through some very real struggles. The content of this book is very thought provoking and encouraging both because of it's honesty and it's relevance to each of our own lives.

Whilst I found this biography interesting and found much of it helpful in my own walk with God I also struggled with reading it. Had a more thorough proof read been done on this book I'm sure I would have found it much easier to read and really enjoy.

This is a beautiful story of God's love and faithfulness. What I loved about it was the author's transparency and humility. Her style of writing is easy to follow and engaging. Throughout her story the author shares her perspective on each situation, but immediately follows it with God's perspective.

I enjoyed following the author's journey through God's grace and His gentleness in guiding her through her mother's prayers, through fellow employees at work or simply through revelation.

In life, it's easy to get caught up in feeling hurt by how others treat us and forget that if Jesus had reacted to people hurting Him the way we react to others, we'd all be in trouble because He probably would never have gone to the cross. But He did, and I'm so thankful He saw through all that to see our real value. Just like the author shares in this story. In spite of everything, in spite of how she was treated, she remained steadfast and continued to see people through God's eyes (even going through rough patches along the way.)

This story reminded me of Daniel's three friends in the fiery furnace. They refused to do what others were doing. They refused to bow down to anything or anyone other than God and paid the price for it. They declared "what is your fire to us, oh King. Our God is able to save us. But even if He doesn't He is still God." (my paraphrase). And in the end there was found to be a Fourth Man in the fire with them and they emerged without being touched by the fire or even smelling like smoke.

I believe this story is a great example of that. For the author to go through what she did and to realize in the end that she was never alone. There was always a Fourth Man in the fire with her and she emerged from the flame unhurt. She came out as pure gold.

What is life's 'fire' to us when we have one Who is able to save us?

Well done, Louisa! I enjoyed this :)

Coming Back Through Grace is a very beautiful life testimony of the author, Louisa Black. Reading this book reminded me to continue to express gratitude for my life and to try harder in restraining complaints because there are other people like Louisa who went through more difficult route before realizing a dream.

I will always be amazed on how God works in people's lives. By reading this book, the author's hardships will turn into an inspiration. Her life is filled with hope that will restore your heart's desire to fulfill God's will. The author's story is a great motivation for us to trust God's perfect plan and allow Him to shower us with His unending grace.

I'm glad to get a free copy of this on Amazon and I highly recommend this book.
