What a shame this was a good read and then the ending happened.

description

Liv Morris delivers a well written book that had the promise and title of gifting me with some really good twists and turns. Sadly, this is where she lost me and once finished I wished I could ask her to pull off shelves and redo with any of the endless possibilities that were better than what I read.

description

The story was clever and well done and I was anxiously following the path the author was bringing me down while being all sorts of excited for the explanations and twists.

description

There could have been so much more done with the last twenty percent and the ending that was given left me totally deflated. I mean what about the guy from 8th Grade who I would assume even worked with her mother at one time, why not utilize him? Why not make use of many avenues this story could have traveled down? Overall, the author did a great job writing this story thus the 4 Stars fill because of the writing and the strong storyline but then there's the whys and the ending.

This book put me through the ringer. Some characters were f*cked up beyond repair, others were a distracting tempation and the last one, I just wanted to shake and smack the hell out of.Who wants to marry, who do you want to screw, and last but not least, who do you want to kill?

Harlow is on her way home from a dead end job. Her mother whom she loves very dearly, hasnt made great choices when it comes to guys. After tragedy strikes,Harlow wakes up in the hospital with a handsome doctor by her side.

Due to major spoiler fear of this story,I won't be going into any more details. What I will say is that I really enjoyed certain parts of this and the others, not so much. I wanted the relationship aspects to be taken more slowly. I loved everyone"s determination and whether it was good or bad, they made the story better. Yes they were flawed but they had lot of redeeming qualities about them that I just couldn't help but root for them. If you love reading about that, then this one is for you.

2 I’m all out of sorts stars

If you know anything about me is that is that I hardly post two star reviews. A lot of factors come into my rating.

First off, I think I had different expectations going into this book. When I read the premise I felt like I was going to go into this crazy dark physiological thriller. I was looking forward to getting to know the two men and figuring out which one the Heroine will pick.

No, it’s not even closely about that. It’s about a young woman, a very weak, sad and lonely women in a relationship with man she doesn’t love.

So I had to kind of change my frame of mind. It’s a lighter book with a more typical storyline, but the guy she is with is kind of twisted, which I like.

But there’s something about the main character that I couldn’t connect with. I love a damsel in distress, but a weak Heroine is hard for me to like. She depends on her fiancé for everything. He picks out what she wears, who she goes out with, what she does all the time and yes it bothers her, don’t think it’s a crazy Dom/sub relationship no, she’s very unhappy.

And what does she do? Nothing, but cry.

It was a little frustrating.

Then comes the younger man. The one that will save the day. I couldn’t connect with the Hero and the Heroine. I didn’t see nor feel the chemistry. Maybe it’s because, and no I don’t have to have that in every book, but when it’s in your title, I kind of want it.

I should back up, yes, there is .
I think I could have easily rated this book 3 or 4 stars had it been marketed differently. I felt like the title, the cover and the summary gave me a different feel and story I thought I should have been reading. Also I’m a dark romance junkie, so when I get a villain, I want a villain you know? Show me his crazy dark possessive side. I want to cringe and grit my teeth when I read.

Also, show me some passion between the main character and the man I am suppose to want her to be with. I felt like he was more of a concerned buddy, holding her hand.

Yet again, this is all my opinion.

Wow, that's what I call a royal mindf*ck. Liv Morris delivers a well written, witty, complex story that lives up to the hype of this book.

And that ending...man, that was intense. Five glowing stars from me.

Marry Screw Kill by Liv Morris
4 stars!!

“Love. It’s a captor, and I’m its prisoner.”

The title and extremely vague blurb were what drew me to this book in the first instance and I also love finding new to me authors. I think when so much is left to your imagination and certainly your own interpretation sometimes what you think you are going to get is not what is delivered and that was the case with this book. For me, I was expecting something dark, suspenseful and twisty and while there are certainly some elements of that throughout the book, for me personally, this was more a romance interspersed with a little suspense.

I loved the authors writing style and quickly became engaged in both the story and the characters, Liv Morris certainly has a talent with words and she managed to totally captivate me with Harlow’s story.

Harlow, although on the outside appeared weak at first glance was an inherently strong woman. She had not had the best start in life and had to work for anything and everything she has ever owned. It has always been Harlow and her mum, right from conception, so she had to grow up fast and while her mum had done everything she possibly could they still lived on the bread line, but they always had each other.

“I am nothing. I am no one. But there’s someone new who believes the opposite.”

Liv Morris really kicks you in the gut in the opening scene and Harlow’s life as she knows it has come to an end, it is now time for Harlow to really stand on her own two feet but sometimes life is just too much and Harlow really needs to find her inner strength.

I really cannot say much more about the story itself as everything that happens is a spoiler. Yes, there are two men in Harlow’s life, but there is no cheating and this is definitely part of the tangled web that Liv Morris weaves throughout this story.

James was a top neurosurgeon and had met Harlow when her life was turned upside down. He was a lot older than Harlow but he inherently loved her, whether that love was healthy and reciprocated remains to be seen. James was controlling and ultra-possessive or should I say obsessive. While I actually believed he loved her, as I said above, it wasn’t healthy and the life that Harlow was living…just simply wasn’t one.

“…a frightened girl searching for direction – lost somewhere between my mother’s apartment and James’ sanctuary.”

Sinclair is James’s nephew and he comes to visit for a while to do a month’s residency at the hospital that James works at. Sinclair is more Harlow’s age but sometimes fresh eyes are just what someone needs to see what is right and what is wrong. Sin immediately fears for the life that Harlow is living and it is with his support that Harlow finally realises that this is far from normal and he gives her the strength and backbone that she needs.

So, who would you marry, who would you screw and who would you kill? For me, all three were filled with characters’ names and actually did so quite quickly in this story. Liv Morris certainly doesn’t dangle the good guy vs bad guy carrot. However, where I thought this story would go is not what happened and for me, I have to admit I felt a little deflated towards the end. This is where I go back to my introduction to this review, it was the vagueness that had me plotting and scheming before I had even read a word and with some epic finale in my head I didn’t get what I expected. However, the ending that was, still wrapped up everything nicely with no stone unturned for the main characters.

“I loved her into unconsciousness.”

Marry Screw Kill is a story of grief, obsession, love and finding yourself. It was an addictive read, one that I didn’t want to put down and I will certainly be checking out other books from this author.

I am definitely in the minority here but damn, what the hell did the author do to me?
SPOILERS AHEAD
For starters, let's see the blurb

There are two men in my life.

I'm marrying one, want to screw the brains out of another, and by the time this story is complete, you may want to kill someone.

Marry Screw Kill

The choices are still pending...

The standalone you need to read sitting down.
#NoCheating

Have you ever read a book which has an AWESOME blurb but it turns out to be the complete OPPOSITE of it? Yea, this is one of that book
Now, people will say that I gave it 2 stars so why would I do that if I hated the book?
Well, the writing was good, for one. And some parts were bearable
That being said, I will like to start off by expressing my view that people shouldn't lie to have their book sell more.
Why do I think the author lied?
Because, first of all, even though it says "there are two men in my life", there was just one and then another man came into the picture. But the "two men in my life" part makes it sound like there were two men from the beginning .
Secondly, yeah the "screw part"? Nah, that didn't happen. Picture a weak, meek heroine who has no sense of control. Now, can you picture her wanting to "screw" someone? No, right? There you have it
Thirdly, "by the time this story is complete, you may want to kill someone" makes you think the heroine was in a war with someone but no, by the end of the book, you don't want to kill someone, you just wish you could go back in time and tell yourself that this book's blurb is a big lie.
Fourthly, "#NoCheating" is exactly right. I don't know why the author did it or whether it helped her make her heroine look like a saint, but Harlow doesn't have any physical contact with Sin until she leaves James, a man I might add was abusing her. Because well, no cheating! God, I am trying so hard to get this concept
Now, I read this book solely because of the blurb. The preview looks amazing and I thought okay, this story is about a girl in love with two men, one cruel the other macho or something. But, no. This book is about a girl who is in a mentally abusive relationship with a controlling grade-A asshole who falls for a guy with the most boring background of the history of backgrounds.
E.g. My background is that I'm a student, I'm an average citizen of an average city and I have never cheated on anyone or lied my way out of jail or killed someone or bashed someone's head in the wall or scored extraordinary marks or landed myself on moon. So, I have a boring background
But Sin's background? Yea, he's an average guy who wants to be a doctor after a lifetime spent fucking women and having fun (none of which is described in the book). So, you see, even to ME, with my bland background, Sinclair's background sounds like those science books I read once.
How can you love a hero with no story? And how can you love a heroine who tries her best to piss you off with her goody-two-shoes behavior that turns into "I wanna screw your brains" mode??
Basically, I wished the author had been honest about the blurb. My suggestion for it would be:

Harlow is a girl who has seen something horrible happen before her. In swoops a handsome man, determined to save her. But things aren't what they appear. When her new savior's nephew comes to town, Harlow starts questioning everything she has believed: is her impending marriage a product of true love? Is James really who he appears to be? And is Sinclair worth leaving James for?

See? Doesn't that help someone get the essence of the story, without giving away spoilers and making sure you don't promise stuff like someone "screwing" someone else or you wanting to kill someone? Is honesty too much to ask?

***********************************************

I liked this book, I didn't like this book, I loved the characters, I hated the characters. I am so all over the place with this story. I can usually handle insta-love story lines but this one was hard for me to grasp. I can usually handle a weak woman (to a point)but Harlow had me wanting to slap her. She had no backbone what so ever...I MEAN NONE!! The dialogue between them all felt very teenagerish and had me rolling my eyes a but. I resorted to skimming the last 40% of the book because nothing really happened except for bursts of HELL YES moments only to be just brief moments of goodness.

The title of this book....I have no idea what it had to do with this story. The "Screw" and the "Kill" parts are NOT what they seem!

Overall...decent book that just needed more of the dark and less of the gooey insta-LOVE.

This was a good slow "coming into her own" book. Harlow has been through what nobody should have to go through. She thought the man was going to be her saving grace but she was wrong. Then Sin comes into the picture and everything changes. I loved Sin , he was protective right away over Harlow and she needed it. This was a good book.

I really liked this book. I think that's mostly due to how surprised I was by what I read. I initially picked this out because I thought it would be a dark read. That's not what this was. Though it had some dark components, it was more about a young woman finally coming into her own.

Harlow was sweet, innocent, naive, and extremely susceptible. She didn't know up from down, left from right, much less who she was as a person and this discovery of self was stunted by the man obsessed with her, James. He was obsessive, compulsive, possessive, condescending, narcissistic, etc. She was completely under his control until a white knight appeared in the form of James' nephew, Sinclair (Sin). And ooh what a man he was!

If you want to know the intricate details of the book, read it. I will tell you that it's about love and loss and pain and hope.

Enjoy! xo

I had no idea what to expect going into this book since the synopsis doesn't give much away. You have three main characters: James, Sin, and Harlow. You have a play on the game: Marry Fuck Kill. And you have no cheating. When you mix that altogether, you get a unique story about obsession, grief and finding true love.

James and Harlow meet under odd circumstances, when tragedy has struck her family and she is the most vulnerable. To say he takes advantage of the situation would be an understatement. While we are given the story of how Harlow gives into him physically, I wasn't sure why she agreed to marry him. Is he her savior or her captor? I was leaning towards the latter with controlling tactics and didn't trust him one bit. His connection to Harlow is a lot more than love or lust.

Harlow seems like a puppet who allows James to control her every move, and I feared she would be a weak heroine. However, she begins to grow a backbone, when Sinclair (Sin), James' nephew, comes to stay with them. He is a wakeup call for her.

Sin represents his name well, previously living the life a manwhore. When tragedy strikes in his life, he grounds himself and finds a purpose. That purpose leading him to Minnesota for a stint at The Clinic (this book's version of the famous Mayo Clinic), where his Uncle works. The minute Sin and Harlow meets, there is a whole lot of instalust. Given their situation with James, one being his fiancé, one being his Uncle, they don't act on their feelings for each other. But an obvious connection forms, which causes problems for the possessive James.

I liked how the author built the push and pull between Sin and Harlow. As promised, there is no cheating, but the chemistry between them is so intense, I almost wished for it. Oddly enough, James is the one who provides the heat in the story, which Sin provides the sweet.

The ending was a bit predictable, but how we get there is anything but predictable. Eventually Harlow, with the help from Sin, finds a way for a new life direction. I loved her bravery and how the two cleverly made sure she was safe for the future.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read that was sweeter than I expected. If you are looking for a love triangle without the cheating, this read might just what you're looking for.

Harlow and her mother live alone and don't have a lot of money but they're happy. She comes home one night from work and witnesses her mom being threatened by her jerk boyfriend and Harlow's life changes in an instant. She awakens at the hospital in the care of James a surgeon there. Four months later, James has moved her in to his home and proposed. When Sin, James' nephew comes for an internship at the hospital, Harlow starts to question just how happy she is. Sin has never been one for serious relationships but his attraction to Harlow is strong and immediate. Both he and Harlow have to remember she's engaged to his uncle James.

I can't give any additional information without providing spoilers and I believe this is a story you should go into as blind as possible. You will admire Harlow and adore one man while disliking the other. Information is brought to light that suggests things aren't as they appear and you'll be turning the page to see what happens next.

I enjoyed this book and was happy with the way it ends.

Marry Screw Kill by Liv Morris
First of all I want to say I enjoyed this book, the writing is easy to follow and the story is suspenseful. It is more a psychological thriller that evolves into a love story. The title did throw me off, as I thought it was going to be Dark – it is not. If you are looking for a book that is intense and suspenseful, then this is it. This is Harlow Masters story, a young girl who has seen and experienced a horrific crime when her mother was killed. She finds herself caught in a web with James, the Doctor that was by her side when she wakes up in the hospital. James wants to possess Harlow and possess he does. In walks Sin who is James nephew. He sees what is going on and decides he has to help Harlow. This story will capture you from the beginning. This story shows a toxic relationship, with a powerful and successful Doctor who uses this to intimidate Harlow. It also shows how love can empower her to find her strength again. But most of all it shows an obsession like none other. Well worth the read with a great story plot.

GENRE: Contemporary Romance

MY RATING
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I've not read anything by this author previously so I will be stepping into unknown territory.. Straight off the bat it states within the book that there is a forbidden love but that no cheating is involved..

The cover looks good
The title even better
BUT the synopsis is playing ghostie because it doesn't give much away

MARRY SCREW KILL: After a late finish at the restaurant where Harlow waitresses all she can hear is her bed calling her.
Entering the apartment she shares with her mother walks into an argument occurring between her mother and her mothers boyfriend Tony who is subsequently welding a gun haphazardly in the air whilst her mother cowers on the couch..
Intent on intervening Harlow tries to wrestle the gun off Tony, which fires off a shot killing her mother in the process..

A rapid clicking of metal against metal precedes another ear-splitting sound. I draw my mother closer as the wall next to me turns a splattered red and a heavy thud hits the floor behind me. Tony's lifeless body lays slumped on the brown carpet.

Harlow's world goes black and she awakens in a hospital bed

JUMP 4 MONTHS LATER

During her hospital stay Harlow forms a friendship with James a handsome prestigious heart surgeon, things progress between the two swiftly and in no time a marriage is around the corner. James is a very very manipulative, obsessive, controlling man when it comes to Harlow.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic I'm here to help you, Harlow. My name is Dr. James Elliot. You can call me James.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

A prized possession

Image and video hosting by TinyPic He takes care of her every need. This man saved me in my darkest hour. Rescued me when I had no one else. Housed me in comfort and safety for the first time in my life. Adorns me with material belongings I never dreamed of owning.

Enter Sin aka Sinclair, James's nephew who will be a guest for a few weeks in their home.

An instant attraction ensues as soon as their eyes meet in the crowded airport where Harlow is there to pick Sin up, she feels like at long last her body is awakening as it reacts to Sins handsome features.

Slowly Sin sees how possessive his Uncle is towards Harlow, things start speeding up in the story line as he offers his help to get her out from under his clutches.

Told in Dual POV'S (Harlow & Sin)

Gods ever come across a book where you just want to jump in and shake the heroine like a rag doll, this here book is having that effect on me!! These two characters James & Harlow are putting me through the paces of pissed off, to angry, to fuming.
You have to feel some sort of compassion towards Harlow though, when her mother died she lost everything, she was left alone in the world, no family, no money, nothing, so when James took on the misguided persona of a white knight in shining armor she let him take control, he controlled everything..And when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING..

As soon as I hit that 66% mark on my kindle app my heart started thumping, the nervous energy of what's to come, what's going to happen next had me racing through the rest of the pages..

MY THOUGHTS
There were parts that I really loved about this book, Sin's character made this book, everything about him embodied what makes us females fall so hard for our book boyfriends..
It wasn't just his sinful looks that had me take note of him but his need to protect Harlow was admirable.
Parts in this books I didn't care for was how Harlow was so beaten down and broken to the point that she submitted her life over into Jame's hands. That made for really hard reading.
The next thing I disliked about this book was it clearly states that there is no cheating involved, in my opinion there is but everyone has different ideas of what entails cheating and what doesn't so that part is up for individual reader discretion because I personally would say there was..

But all in all this was one crazy ride, twists I never saw coming were regularly thrown in this book which had me racing to find the outcome.

Really disappointing...the title and blurb were soooo good, but they were misleading, in my opinion.
You'd think you were in for a suspenseful, angsty read but it wasn't that. At all. The only person I wanted to kill by the end of this was the weak, doormat heroine. There might be some spoilers in this, because I don't think I can rant properly without some spoilers:D
Harlow comes home one day and walks into a huge argument between her mom and current boyfriend. Long story short, her mother dies and she wakes up in a hospital a while later.
Then the story jumps 4 months, and our heroine is engaged to a surgeon that she met at her hospital stay. She doesn't want him, she feels almost nothing for him sexually, and yet she is marrying him. Why? Why would she ever do that? Sure, she met him when she was vulnerable from her mothers' murder, but really? I mean, I get losing yourself in sex, or even being with someone you don't necessarily like that much just to have someone there, but to get married with someone you don't like, scares you even?? That makes 0 sense to me. She's also incredibly stupid, giving him control over her finances at the beginning of their relationship, because that makes sense.
If she was in love with him, or at least really loved the sex, I would've gotten it, accepted it. From there, he could slowly become more controlling and possessive, and turn into an abusive asshole, and her love would die, she'd meet the hero, cue the angst. But no, the heroine was an incredibly stupid doormat who thought a little spanking was super kinky degrading sex. I think even the most vanilla couples will still slap an ass here and there.
Ugh, I could rant about her forever.
Anyway, back to the story...Sin, the hero, is James' nephew, and will be staying at his uncles' house while he does some medical internship in town. Honestly, I thought he was bland, and didn't care for him one way or another. Harlow picks him up from the airport, he's super into her, of course, and they very quickly develop a connection. She almost immediately plays a damsel in distress routine, all "james doesn't let me do that...james doesn't want me alone where men can see me...blablabla", which, if possible, made me respect her even less.
Anyway, the 2 become friendly and James is becoming more abusive, apparently. There was a really bad scene where our darling heroine wants to see her best friend that she hasn't seen since she met James. He doesn't let Harlow see her because she has loose morals, or something of the sort, and I'm sorry, but if from the beginning of the relationship she just accepts this and abandons her best and only friend, she is not a good person. not a strong person. not a person I would ever, ever like, or even remotely respect. But back to the scene...so apparently our heroine has grown some balls, because she demands to be allowed to see her friend. James says ok, but only if she lets him use some restraints on her. She really doesn't want to, her balls quickly retreating almost as fast as they came out, and accepts, of course. He restrains and fucks her on the kitchen table, including some ass spanking (oh, the horror! oh, the humiliation!) while Sin accidentally sees them (she sees him too, but James doesn't) and he looks at her with pity at the horrible way she is being treated, and leaves.
Sin wants to save her, of course, helps her leave him, we find some more things about James, but I just didn't care at all.
This could have been a good story, albeit one that's been told before. There could have been so much angst, suspense, but I honestly felt nothing. Well, nothing except extreme antipathy towards the heroine. I almost feel like the way her character and the relationship were portrayed makes a mockery of women who are in truly abusive relationships. I never felt like she was trapped in this relationship, only that she was a crying, weak doormat.
Coming back to the title and blurb for a second: the marrying part...if from the beginning of the book the heroine says she doesn't really care for her fiancee, then I'm never going to believe there's even a small chance of marriage. The screw part..There was almost no screwing at all, the heroine didn't have sex with the hero until close to the end, and that would've been fine if there was some sexual chemistry there, but I never felt that either. Except for a few sex scenes with James, that she didn't enjoy, there was nothing. And the kill part...Well, I already told you who I wanted to kill by the end of this, and I'm sure it wasn't who I'm supposed to want to kill.

“Marry Screw Kill” is the story of Harlow. She witnesses the most traumatizing situation and the attractive and mysterious Doctor James Elliot takes her in after, gives her shelter, time and space to recover. Within a short time, this bond evolved into more than victim and savior. But when suddenly James’ seemingly wild nephew comes to stay for a month at their house, their roles start to get mixed up and suddenly wild boy Sin shows Harlow, that not everything that has been done to help someone is done out of kindness…

This was my first book by Liv Morris and I must say, that I quite liked her writing. Even though the plot and big reveal were quite obvious from the beginning, I was wrapped up in Harlow’s story from beginning to end. The characters were all very interesting and especially the relationship between ‘bad boy’ Sinclair (or short Sin) and Harlow was very tender and believable. The only thing debatable is the sex in this book. I was very torn about if to find these scenes between Harlow and James sexy, since you could feel the h’s despair – but on some level, this author obviously can write one heck of a sex-scene. So, that’s ultimately why I was hesitant to give “Marry Screw Kill” the full 5 stars. It was a really good book, but there were a few small things, that could have been better. Though I won’t dwell on them now, maybe I’m just too sensitive of a reader… Oh and regarding the author’s promise in the plot about the no cheating in this story – it’s really true! After approx. 20% of the book, I thought to myself ‘Okay, how’s that gonna work without cheating???’ But it did. So, I’d say that this book is definitely suitable for all readers, even those who avoid cheating in books. There is no love-triangle whatsoever!

All in all, I rate “Marry Screw Kill” with 4 stars and can recommend it everyone. Standalone novel, for mature audiences only with no serious triggers.

Twisted and wickedly deranged!

With a title like Marry Screw Kill Liv Morris intoxicates you before you even read the first sentence.

After tragedy strikes Harlow her world shatters and spins out of control at an alarming rate. She is vulnerable and lost. James is a seemingly kind Dr. that is there for her in her time of need. He saves her when she needs saving most and because of that Harlow feels like she owes him. Unfortunately she soon finds out that her Prince Charming has more than a few flaws.

Can one persons version of love be another persons prison?

Marry Screw Kill has a strong story line and kept me captivated for most of the novel. The story is cleverly written and there are plenty of unexpected twist and turns that kept my heart racing. I breathed out a happy sigh of relief every time that a new secret was revealed. Key points of the story were released at the most exceptionally masterful times.

I didn't know what to expect when I dove into this novel but I loved the journey that Liv Morris took me on. Forbidden love, infatuation, deceit, and sexy distractions; What more can a girl ask for?

Sadly the ending did not blow me away. I didn't have any expectations of how Harlow's story would end however I was still somehow disappointed. Even with the ending this novel is one that I would suggest you read. Liv Morris is a seriously talented artiest and if you haven't read any of her work I would suggest that you do. You definitely wont regret it.

Alrighty then.. first off this story has one word to describe it and that is INTOXICATING!
I was without a doubt captivated at the get go, the author spins a wild tale of wild, obsessive passion like an intricate black widows web, you just get tangled into the silky edges full of deceit, lies and twisty turns.

Liv Morris pens a spectacular Creep-tastic, Creep-O villain in James like a brilliant artist with a paintbrush. He was extremely eerie, his compulsive and controlling personality was disturbing and bordered on sinister as he fixates his sights on a Uber sexy, smart and extremely fragile young lady fighting a catastrophic tragedy.

Harlow was independent, clever yet dealt a hard blow at life, she is sinking in despair with no way out of a depressing situation when along came a knight and shining armor who wants to take all her pain, uncertainty and woes away... SIN! ~thud~ Now this career driven playboy wants only one thing in life, to save people, to heal people, to be a Doctor!

This Author knows how to write a clever and charming plot that sorta sucks you right in, its mind boggling chapters will have you entering sleep deprivation in no time as you fight your way through this complex maze of revealing good vs. evil characters within. In the end I think we all will find James did succeed in seizing what he wished for, Harlow did become what she was meant to be and Sin finally found his calling and true destiny. Thank you Liv Morris!

First off I'd just like to warn you that this book isn't gonna be like what you think it will. I think that was the issue for me, I expected a dark-ish book that made me unable to decide between two guys. I didn't get this at all. I could tell early on that I wasn't gonna like one guy in the slightest, but I was okay with that, I was just waiting for the dark-twisted-struggle part to happen. It never did.

The thing is, I think I could've really liked this book. If the name didn't completely mislead me and make me expect something that it had no desire in delivering, it was all an issue of expectation.

My ratings are true to the story as much as I can make them considering my current feeling of disappointment. Do read it though, just try to remove preconceptions and you'll be fine.

This book is about a woman struggling with life and attatching herself to a man she doesn't love to save herself, which instead just causes her to suffer a deeper struggle and needing help to save and rediscover herself.

At First I didn't know what to expect from this book as the Blurb gives absolutely nothing away but I was so intrigued from the start. Without giving anything away, our first encounter with Harlow she appears to be a normal girl brought up alone by her Mum but their lives take a tragic turn which leaves Harlow a broken girl.

Fast Forward a couple of months and Harlow is engaged to a much older, Handsome Doctor James. Due to be married in a number of weeks, we are left wondering why Harlow doesn't appear to be in realms of pure bliss of the aspect of becoming a Bride. But as the story unfolds we learn why.

Enter Sinclair or 'Sin' as he likes to be called, James' Nephew and Med student. Yes Yes I wanted to commit a few 'Sins' with him myself. He was totally yummy!!

I loved everything about this book. Title was perfect, Yes I wanted to MARRY someone, I most definitely wanted to SCREW someone and I can honestly say I wanted to KILL someone.

A breathtaking read full of Thrills, Spills, oozing with Male Hotness,it dealt with some sensitive issues but it wasn't a hard hitting read that left you broken, a little emotional in places but also a real heartfelt and feel good read that turns your insides to gooey mush.

The title and blurb alone are what drew me to this book. The blurb is so vague you can’t help but be intrigued. We meet Harlow on the most tragic night of her life, that leaves her with absolutely nothing…no family, no money, nothing. Enter the good doctor James. He swoops in like a knight in shining armor, now fast forward a few months and they are engaged.

There were times I wanted to scream at her for being so stupid to allow this man to control every single aspect of her life. It took me a little while to actually come around to pulling for her. I hate weak female characters and it took her meeting Sin to finally start showing some backbone. Of course with this delicious man, who wouldn’t? They have instant attraction and major chemistry and struggle with not acting upon it. The blurb says no cheating, but it’s really going to be the reader’s discretion and definition of what they believe cheating is.

Overall this is a good book, but there some several parts that I had to push myself through. I am a very independent woman and it’s hard for me to read a weak female, but as I said, Harlow comes into her own towards the end with the help of Sin.

I had great hopes for this book from the title and blurb which I found vague yet intriguing however sadly it just fell a little too flat for me. After a promising opener to the story, I really struggled to get into the book and felt no connection with the characters. The concept of the story was really good but the execution just wasn't up to par for me.

The book opens with a gut wrenching scene which held such promise as the lead character Harlow is witness to a heart-breaking situation that changes her life. We then jump four months and find Harlow living a life in a gilded cage with very little explanation as to how or why. And I wanted to just shake her for her stepford wives persona.

I liked Sin and loved how he helped Harlow to find the strength to realise the situation she was in but it was all a little too much too soon for me. And I'd have loved to have got to know more of James and the reasons for his actions, I really felt there was so many unanswered questions.

Sadly I found the lack of character development really affected my enjoyment overall of the story. This one just wasn't for me I think.

From the moment I read the blurb, I knew this was going to be an intriguing story, but it also surprised me in terms of the directions it chose to go to. Harlow and James's relationship was questionable from the get-go, but the twists and turns that were revealed along the way were unexpected, at least as far as I was concerned. I was expecting more dark humor than there actually was in the story, but then I based that expectation off of the blurb, and the darkness was more about the story in general and not the humor. Everything was going pretty well with the story until I got close to the end, which turned out to be a tad disappointing because it just seemed a bit contrived. Still, Marry Screw Kill was a good four-starred read. ♥

Woow. It's hard to put this book into words.

It was very dark at times but still it pulled me in and I couldn't stop reading.
I liked it a lot to see the journey they all were going trough
it wasn't always easy but that made it so much special.
Some parts I'd rather see differently, but that doesn't matter.
It was a good read!

Sooooooo another reviewer said that the title wasn't an accurate representation of the story and after finishing this I couldn't agree more. The title in my opinion implies something darker. The story was ok but the title makes you feel like you're going to get something totally different. For that reason two stars for me.

Pretty good read. It was a quick read that got right to the point which I appreciate. You know there is a bit of mystery in this book, and there are subtle hints to something being revealed and it's like..... Maybe I know what it is. Maybe maybe, and then you find out and you're like. Ohhhhh wow... All in all a good read.
