Oh I can fix him. Anderson oh baby Anderson he is one twisted Man but he's also a twisted man who's obessed with his new next door neighbor Harper who doesn't know she has caught the eye of a surgeon/hitman. I thought Eva last MMC had red flags but Anderson he's a special kinda red lol.
When he first meets Harper she's under the weather badly perfect time for him to enter himself in her life. And he does, he drugs her and sorta forces her to stay at his place so he can take care of her lol.

And there is alot of back and forth between the two because Harper fights with herself and is angry at Anderson for keeping her there but he does let her go.. eventually. He has to make sure she's healthy lol. And that doctor play is 🥵🥵🥵

But these two crazy kids were perfect for one another. It did take Harper awhile to fall in love since she felt no one would care enough for her. And Anderson made sure he took care of everything.

The spice 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 TOP TIER!! You'll question yourself lol. On some of the scenes. Hehe there is drama so don't worry.

This book was wild in the best way possible. The male lead is completely obsessed, deeply unhinged, and because Eva Marks is evil/genius he made him a doctor. I couldn’t stop turning the pages. The tension, the drama, the dark obsession… I was so here for it.
Eva Marks continues to deliver the kind of twisted, intense stories that keep me coming back for more. If you’re a fan of dark romance, especially the kind with unhinged, possessive men, this one belongs on your TBR immediately.

This was dark, filthy, and depraved, and I loved every single second of it lmao. It was such a good read, and I haven’t been hooked on a book in a while, so it felt really refreshing, especially after all the stress I’ve been through. Safe and hot, and I definitely enjoyed all the smut too.🤭🫦

Uhm absolutely not. DNF at 41% and wished I had done it sooner. I usually enjoy a good captor/prisoner trope, but this one completely missed the mark for me. The dynamic between the characters felt off, they talk to themselves more than with each other. I know it’s supposed to be dark romance, but seriously who wakes up strapped to a hospital bed in some guy’s basement and instantly gets turned on when he shows up? Be so for real. Give the FMC some backbone, please. She just melts the second he appears, it’s painful to read.
I was blessed with eyesight and decided to waste it on this. The writing style also just didn’t work for me. And the nickname ‘kitten’… no, just no.

Interesting premise that is exactly my cup of tea but I just can’t get past the FL getting wet for the man who kidnapped her and locked her up in his basement. Like girl, pls stop thinking with your vagina. Lusting over him midway into the story? Understandable but as soon she opens her eyes in his basement for the first time? Yeah no. You’ve been kidnapped by psycho for fucks sake 🤦‍♀️.

Andersons takes Harper and makes her his in the most delicious and filthy (and I do mean filthy) ways and I can’t get over how hot and wonderful this story was. Both MCs were lunatics😂😂. Absolutely perfect for each other. Eva always knocks it out of the park for me in terms of smut and plot.

Yikes! Did a lot of skimming bc it was a lot of smut—-so if that’s your thing, you’ll love this.

The Doctor will see you now…

Oh, he’ll see you. He’ll stalk you, kidnap you, manipulate you and have a cheeky fondle while you sleep. But he’ll also answer your emails, manage your business, do your laundry and make you broth. Okay, tempting.

One of the opening lines for me set the tone for what was coming, I can almost empathize. Kinda.

“I’ve stood beside crying patients, accepted their shaky thanks, then slipped out as they turned to loved ones, relieved yet distraught, shouting, ‘Don’t you ever scare me like that again, you hear? I love you too much to lose you.’”

If you have a Doctor–patient kink, this book is definitely for you. Did I before starting? Not really. Do I now? …perhaps.

That said, a couple of chapters made me a little uncomfortable. Some seriously dubious consent, medical instruments in places they weren’t exactly designed for, and one moment where she’s drugged, fully conscious but unable to move. Not for me.

I really enjoyed the start, but towards the end I found myself skimming through some of the filthier bits. It’s easily 80% smut, 20% plot. But did I enjoy it overall? Absolutely. I just like a little more storyline with my stalkers.

I smashed through it in a couple of hours, which says something. At times I felt claustrophobic, trapped, and the MMC’s intensity was overwhelming, which I imagine was very much the point. Wonderfully done.

A dark, wild read that may have you looking at your GP a little differently.

Solid 3.5 stars from me.

I wish I liked this as much as the majority did😭😭😭.

Anderson AND Harper are fucking nuts lol. Anderson is a surgeon, moving into his new home when he first sees his neighbor Harper. What follows are the stalker classics; entering her home without her knowledge, placing hidden cameras, and messing with her contraceptive.

Then, Harper catches a crazy flu. Along with other symptoms she’s hallucinating badly, too. She gets to the ER where Anderson finds her and takes her back to his basement where he doctors her back to health. Keeping her for a few days, Harper is basically kidnapped and medicated without her permission.

When Harper is better, Anderson lets her return home, but his obsession with her, his control over her, and his games are far from over.

This was an ok read for me. I found, through reading this, that I don’t have a doctor kink, like at all. The times Anderson would take it a little too far for my tastes, making Harper call him Dr. Maguire, and treating her as a patient while he sexually examined her and forced himself on her. To me, doctor patient trust is a big thing, so it was hard for me to get behind Anderson abusing that in the beginning.

As for Harper, it frustrated me that she was so back and forth. I understand her journey as Anderson’s heroine was to get to a point where she loved what he did and craved it, but she was so contradictory in her mind. I much rather would’ve enjoyed a heroine who gradually accepted what was between her and Anderson, over one that fought with herself and went back and forth so often.

The plot was kinda non existent, and that disappointed me as well. The whole book is just their relationship going from abuse to loving the “abuse”. When reading the synopsis, it says a doctor holds her prisoner by using drugs on her, which he did, for what, 4 or 5 days? I wanted more of this, in a different way. Anderson uses drugs to make Harper sleep so she may recover. I’d love for him to use a medication for her pleasure instead of for the purpose of her accepting him and realizing she enjoyed what he was doing. And this is just in the beginning. There’s a time, towards the middle of the book, where he uses a drug to paralyze her so he may have his way with her body, and she loves it. But I was looking more for a drug like ecstasy kind of vibe in the beginning, if that makes sense.

I was also looking for more in the danger department.

Sure, Harper gets kidnapped by a greedy taxi driver after her family’s fortune, but Anderson is under a debt owed to the Russian mafia. I was really looking forward to a crescendo in anxiety while reading the ending of the book. I mean, Anderson is so obsessed, so in love with Harper, and Sergei (Russian mafia) is hell bent on keeping Anderson to do their dirty work. I was hoping for another kidnapping, or a life threatening situation. But it all ended quickly in his basement, Harper being the one to “save the day”.

By the end of this book I realized that Anderson AND Harper are both fucking crazy, and kind of sick.

I’d recommend this book to anyone looking for a darker read. Anyone with a doctor fetish, or possibly those that love a dominant hero and his submissive heroine. If you ignore the few typos and misused words (calve instead of the correct calf), and are into what I mentioned, you’ll probably enjoy this more than I did.

This book was so good.
It was a DARK and INTENSE ride.

Make sure to check the warnings because this book is dark. Anderson is not a good man, he’s unhinged and obsessed. I felt there was no redemption for him. Harper is a great character. I really liked her. I felt for her. These two together are like two dark tortured souls.

It was interesting to read all the dark psychological elements to this book. There were a lot of horror elements.

This book had me hooked! Like all of Eva’s books I was completely obsessed with it! If you want a dark, unhinged pitch black romance pick this one up!

A toe curling dark romance I couldn’t put down!!!

This one caught my attention in one of the book groups I haunt and Eva 👏 did 👏 not 👏 disappoint!

Harper is a young woman who is oblivious to the man that she has the attention of. She is a workaholic who is so focused on her business she doesn’t pay attention. But under all of her obliviousness lies a fire and determination that I love.

Anderson is surgeon by day and assassin by night - bound to a man by his father mistakes…but when Harper catches his attention, his priorities change dramatically.

I loved the dynamic and how this story played out. Yes it’s dark and had me questioning if I needed to dial my therapist because I was thinking “do I like this?” as red flags were thrown like confetti. It’s hot, spicy, suspenseful and I enjoyed how the characters became something the other didn’t even they needed. Eva wrote a story I fell in love with and I need more.

Sprinkle in a little Bratva and you’ve got a tale as old as time.

Fixation is a descent through a series of relentless mind games from the start, and they never cease. Like Harper, I loved and hated Anderson every other paragraph.

One of my favorite things about this read is Eva Marks’ unique manner of writing inner monologue.

It’s blunt.
It reads with the cadence of deliberate speech.
You’re forced to take each quip.
Each unhinged desire.
One at a time.
And it resonates so much more than a typical read.

Tengo mixed feelings con este libro.

Empezando por el plot, pues me gustó en un inicio pero al 50% ya empezó a tornarse un poco nulo, casi todo era smut pero... sorpresivamente me agrado el smut estuvo muy bien descrito y muy creativo por eso no me molestó tanto, pero creo que hubiera sido mejor que le metieran más a la trama.

Con los personajes, aunque Anderson es como el tipo de MMC que me llega a caer gordo, me gustó su loquera de cierta forma pero también jugaba muy encontrá porque al mismo tiempo me desesperaba sus manipulaciones obvias.

Y con Harper, siento que la arruinaron al final, termino con una personalidad totalmente diferente con la inicio, se sentía vibes de Harley Quinn y el Joker, se me hizo raro.

I seriously don't understand how Eva blows my mind each and every single book?! Like how do you constantly out do the last one every time? Do you know how hard it makes to pick a favorite then? Lol.

This book is insane! Anderson is the most unhinged man ever. He doesn't even see it himself. Like he's off the wall bananas over here. But tell me why I absolutely love him? I mean no, I honestly don't think I'd ever be able to handle all the things he put Harper through, but man that soft side? I just melt into a puddle every time!

If you're looking for a sweet romantic man, then run...run far, far away from this book because Dr. Maguire will NOT be that for you! Haha. But if you want to ride this intense, dark, crazy ride...by all means, jump in and buckle up buttercup!

Dark dark dark.

You guys, read the trigger warnings please. This book was dark, deranged, and insane lol but, it ends with a happily ever after and I did really like it. However, please be careful before you dive in so you know what you’re getting into and as always, read whatever the heck you want and don’t yuck someone else’s yum.

(The spice was really good. I mean it was quite nuts and involves kidnapping, drugging, and non consensual sex but, our MMC is a devoted partner to say the least)

Harper fights hard against Anderson and his obsession but she’s no match for his kind of love, devotion, and healing.

Packed full of spice but it does have a bit of plot added in. This will fill your kinky wish list and leave you happy.

Şüpheli rıza, kaçırma, uyuşturma vesaire vesaire. O yüzden tetikleyicileri okumadan başlamayın. Smut sahneler muhteşemdi bu arada ağzım açık okudum. This book was MESSED UP but i loved it. The way Anderson was obsessed with Harper was absolutely amazing, and the random doctor/patient role plays were funny. THE SMUT HELLO THAT SHIT WAS DETAILED, but there were some things i didn’t like, for example him calling her “kitten” in some scenes like it erked me. This was overall a fun read and i really enjoyed it.

Here I am trying my hand at dark romance in books again. I need to give up with searching in books. Dark romance is one of my favorite genres but it looks like movies and TV have the best dark romance couples.
This was DNFed. Too much smut and not enough plot or likeable characters. Anderson is so shallow he really seems like a caricature. He does not seem like a real person and looks like he dodges character development like a pro. I read about 60% of this book.
