Kate Callahan has always known that, someday, she’d run the family business. So men have always been merely a distraction for Kate; she just doesn’t have time for love.
Until fate steps in by way of a prophecy foretold, years ago, by a friend who’d been blessed with a remarkable gift. Kate has been warned that, one day, she’ll be kissed by fate. And love will happen with that unforgettable kiss.
Michael Murphy already has his life mapped out. After graduating with his degree in Architecture, he’ll be working at a prestigious firm in Chicago. When he arrives in the town of Crystal Rock to serve as an intern at Callahan Construction, the last thing he expects is his instant attraction to lovely crew boss, Kate Callahan.
Kate’s immediately drawn to Murphy, too. And sparks fly when they unite in an attempt to discover the identity of the thief who’s been stealing construction materials from her family’s company.
But how could a long-term relationship between them ever survive? They’re both young, with different dreams and goals. So even after their unforgettable kiss, Kate lets Murphy go.
Six years later, Kate’s finally admitted her mistake; she’s just never been able to forget that kiss. Devastated when she learns that Michael Murphy’s become engaged, Kate comes up with a plan to try to win him back. But will she be too late?

"I received a copy of this book from eBook Discovery in exchange for my honest review." This book was a great read, it gave you an insight at the beginning to years earlier when Kate lost her best friend, and then it took you to present day. It's got a lot of stories mixed in with it with different things going on, you never know who is the real suspect until they catch them. You think you know where it's going but then it twists and throws you again. I love the way the author doesn't make this all about the love story and more about what is happening to the fathers business, there is always the undertones of the romance but it doesn't really show until the last few chapters. Then right at the end it throws another curve ball in that you really aren't expecting and you think wow where did that come from. This makes it more interesting and a book I couldn't put down. I've read other books from this series which were also brilliant like this one. It can be read as a stand alone too in its own rights but I would also recommend the rest of the series too. I couldn't put this book down because I wanted to know who was stealing from the business, you think you know who it is but you don't and its a shock, then the author throws another curve ball in right at the end which you just don't see coming and it makes the book. It's great the way there is a story in a story and the author has put a lot of thought into it and its really not a typical love story it's a beautiful romance, it's a real will she won't she, will he won't he story and again you think you know what is coming but you don't. It's not all about sex and graphic sex scenes or violence, it's a story about a few families and how life has affected them all, their lives are entwined many by the work for the fathers business some because they are family. The author tells you what's happened to all of them so you know their story and how life has affected them which is nice because you get to know them. Many come into play in the future series which is a great way to link the books. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone that likes a good read without all of the sex and violence that goes with many these days.
That Unforgettable Kiss by Tamara Ferguson is yet another reason why I have fallen in love with this author.
Kate is all set to run the family business. She knows it is what she is meant to do and is ready for it to happen. Murphy is hired to work at the construction company but never bargained on meeting Kate. With a prophecy hanging over her head about a kiss that will change her life forever Kate feels the sparks fly between them. But she is not one to be ruled by fate. And do she lets Murphy go. Even though it is the last thing she wants to do. Fast forward 6 years later and that kiss is still the kiss that Kate uses as her standard. She begins to wonder if she made a mistake in letting Murphy walk out of her life. But what can she do when he is engaged to someone else?
I loved the chemistry between these two characters. They worked so well together. I loved that the author was able to work in a prophecy and fate while still giving the characters their own style and personality - it didn’t define them just helped them along. The story was great and well written. Another success by an author I really enjoy.
An intriguing read, with great character development. Ferguson, paints a picture with her words, alway driving the thoughtful storyline forward, with impeccable knowledge of rehab and construction the reader is pulled into the world of Kate Callahan and her family in northern Wisconsin! Ferguson's foreshadowing of theft gently moves the love story forward to a stunning conclusion!
That Unforgettable Kiss is the first book in the Kissed by Fate Series by Tamara Ferguson. It is a contemporary/second chance romance, with some drama, suspense, a little mystery - and much more. I have read many of Ms. Ferguson's books and always enjoy the experience. I know she will take me on a journey that will both move me and entertain me. Again, this story is set in Crystal Rock, where all her other books (that I have read) are also set. I love visiting Crystal Rock and Dragonfly Pointe; each time I open one of Ms. Ferguson’s books it’s like going on a wonderful journey with both new and old friends. Ms. Ferguson has a talent for writing stories that entice you further and further into the book, and before you know it you’ve come to the end of a fantastic experience. This story was really easy to read, and I quickly got lost in it for a few hours. The story has a fast pace and a smooth flow, which makes it a quick and easy read. This story focuses on Kate Callahan and Michael Murphy. Kate works for her family’s building company, Callahan Construction. We are familiar with Callahan Construction/the Callahan family, from previous books/series. She is a sassy, fiery and determined young woman who has set her sights on running the family business one day. She hasn’t got the time or energy for the distraction that come with romance, her focus has always been the business. So, when the new architect/intern arrives in town to begin working for the company, she doesn’t expect to be so drawn to him. Work life just got more interesting. Michael Murphy has his sights on working at a prestigious Architectural firm in the big city, but he has to complete his internship and graduate before he can set all his plans in motion. He’s come to Crystal Rock to work with Callahan Construction, the last thing on his mind is relationships. But that doesn’t stop his instant attraction to his new colleague, Kate. This story spans about 6 years and has quite a lot happening in it- from romance, to mystery; passion and responsibility, to massive regrets; and more…. This story will keep you engrossed from beginning to end. Another great read from this talented author.
That Unforgettable Kiss (Kissed by Fate Book 1) by Tamara Ferguson is the first book in her Kissed by Fate series. This is not my first book by this author but I think that everyone book I read of hers tops the next. Her writing style is such that it is easy flowing and I can't put her books down once I start reading them. Her attention to details are such that she makes me feel like I am right there in the story with the characters. Her characters are heart pulling, soul searching, lovable people that could be my friends from next door. This story takes place in Crystal Rock like many of her other books do. Kate Callahan knows that one day she will take over the family business. This is one of the reasons why she has no time for love. When fate steps in and warns her that one day she will be kissed by fate and with that she will find love. In walks Michael Murphy, a man who has his whole life planned out and Kate is not in his plans. What he didn't expect was to find his boss attractive. What will happen when they team up to find a thief? When he kisses her, is that the unforgettable kiss that she was warned about? She sets him free but after six years, she just can't forget that kiss. But the problem becomes in that Michael is now engaged and Kate has to find a way to win him back. Will she be able to win him back? I loved both of these characters. They are like your friends, what they feel you feel. I just wanted to give them a hug once in awhile. On the other hand, there were times when I wanted to yell at them to open their eyes. These two have such great chemistry, they just belong together. I kept finding myself hoping against hope that they would find their happy ending together even thought she fights her attraction to him. I loved how this story shows their life struggles and how they adjust to them. This quiet little town is never without some type of situation going on. I highly recommend this book as I know you will want to see what suspense and romance this quiet little town can bring to a story.
The Unforgettable Kiss is the first book in the Kissed by Fate Series by Tamara Ferguson. If the rest of the books in this series are anything like this one, then I’ll be devouring all of them. This was my first time reading Tamara Ferguson’s work and what a great book to start it off with! Do you believe in fate? At the start of the story, Kate’s best friend Christina is dying. Christina has a habit of foretelling things that are going to happen. She tells Kate that her life will be changed by a kiss, but she won’t realise until later in life. Moving on 5 years, Kate is running the family construction business. Michael is a friend of Kate’s brother Dan and is also the Godson of Kate’s dad. Michael comes to work for the family as an intern one summer. The attraction between Kate and Michael is instant but they are both determined to do nothing about it as Michael will move back home after the summer. At the end of the summer, they give into their attraction and have ‘that unforgettable kiss’. We then move forward another 6 years and Kate and Michael have not forgotten their kiss and both wonder if there is any chance that they could still have a future together. Kate and Michael’s mothers play matchmaker and hatch a plan to get them together. A plan which succeeds. You’d think that would be the end of the story, but no, there’s so much more to this book. Throughout the book, there is a secondary story of materials going missing from the business and the search to find the culprit. This comes to a very dramatic head at the end of the book which leaves the reader gripped. An excellent read!
That Unforgettable Kiss by Tamara Ferguson is the first book in the Kissed by Fate series and follows the interactions of the two main characters, Kate and Michael and the struggle that sometimes you may just find your truly but lose them when you think there is greener pastures. Does fate always play a part in your future or do you make your own destiny?
Kate has always been groomed to take over the family business eventually so she has never really been interested in man, until one day she saw the handsome Michael Murphy. The story weaves through the chemistry which hits Kate from the first meeting but she cold feet and wonders if they are too young to have such a intense relationship.
Michael has always had his life planned out so when he finds a job with a company in Crystal Rock, so its the last place for him to expect love but that's when he gets into there and the awkward thing is shes his boss.
The story then develops and you get to see the chemistry between these two characters jump of the page. The writing is fast paced and feels that you are projected into their lives and follow the ups and down with them. This is not my first book by this author and this book does not disappoint, I look forward to reading the next book in this series and more books by this wonderful author.

Tamara Ferguson wrote a wonderful love story. He story grabs you in the first chapter and when you finish. You will wish for more. More Kate, more Michael and more adventure. I enjoyed reading this book, it's well written and not just another romance story. I love that she mixed her story up and forced you to keep reading. Just when you think you figured it out. That Unforgettable Kiss By Tamara Ferguson 5 stars
Every time I pick up a book by this author I know that I am in for a good read and this one was no exception! It was a beautifully written story, I loved the characters and it was just an absolute joy to read. Tamara Ferguson always creates characters that I fall in love with straight away. I thought that Katie was an amazing character! I loved her feistiness from the beginning. She definitely doesn’t believe in fate and certainly not that one kiss can lead to more. I loved the first meeting between her and Michael. I thought that they had a great chemistry! I liked Michael too; he was genuine and knew exactly what he wanted form life. Apart from the great characters and their story I really liked the plot to the story too. There were some really good twists and turns and I actually liked the uniqueness and unpredictability of it. I have read a few books by this author now and her books never fail to entertain me. I am always captivated from the very first page until the last. I would absolutely recommend That Unforgettable Twist – it has so much for a reader to enjoy! I, as always, look forward to reading more from Tamara Ferguson in the future!
That Unforgettable Kiss by Tamara Ferguson is the first book in her Kissed by Fate series! I have read every single one of Tamara’s books and my journey started with the first book in her Two Hearts Wounded Warrior series. That Unforgettable Kiss is a romantic tale of Kate Callahan and Michael Murphy. When Kate was only 14 years old her best friend Christina foretold her that one kiss only will play a monumental role in her life, she will try to deny the power of the kiss but you cannot deny the fate. And so it seems to happen … Kate meets Michael who has all his life mapped out for him and that is not the little town of Crystal Rock and both being so young, neither of them can see how a long distance relationship would work … or not… But as Christina foretold, you cannot deny the fate and sparks are flying right and left when they meet again after six years … I will leave you with that! Pick up a copy and enjoy the magic of Tamara Ferguson and I guarantee that meeting all the other characters in Crystal Rock, you will be sucked in like me and you will inhale ALL of her books! What an amazing writer, what amazing characters, what amazing and touching stories that stay with you for a long long time!
That Unforgettable Kiss, Kissed by Fate, by Tamara Ferguson. I have read many books by this author and I have absolutely loved every single one of them. This book was no different!!!! Kate Callahan knew from when she was little that she wanted to run the family business with her dad. She hasn’t had time or really wanted to settle down in a serious relationship. Work always was top on her list. In the back of her mind, she always remembered what her friend told her before she passed away, she had a special gift and she told Kate that she will kissed by fate and she will never forget it. When her parents godson comes to spend a few weeks as an intern , she is drawn to him. Michael Murphy, Murph, knows his path and is trying to stick with it. That is until he sees Kate Callahan. When the two start working close to try and find the person that is stealing materials from the company, the chemistry is there. When they decide to give it a go, Kate overheard something and takes her losses and leaves. Years later, finding out Murph is engaged, she formulated a plan to try and get him back in her life. Will Murph want her back or is it too late for Fate to play it’s part?
I seriously have loved every book by Tamara Ferguson that I’ve ever read. That Unforgettable Kiss is no exception to that. Unless I’ve missed something, all her series’ seem to be at least somewhat set around Crystal Rock, and I love it. It just makes me even more connected to the stories, like I feel like I know the place.
In this book, Kate Callahan is so focused on her future and running the family business. She totally shies away from getting too serious with anyone, breaking hearts along the way. Fate had other plans for her in the form of Michael Murphy. I feel like both characters were relateable and likeable. I liked how she was the only one to call him by his first name and how their families even got involved to an extent.
Another part of this story was an ongoing mystery and even a touch of suspense. Aside from the awesome romance, the rest of the events throughout the book were just as captivating and interesting. I look forward to many more stories from this author in the future.
The Unforgettable Kiss is the first book in the Kissed by Fate Series by Tamara Ferguson. And what a great start in the series with The Unforgettable Kiss. This is the story of Kate and Michael. Kate knows what she wants in her life and that would be to eventually take over the family business. Because of this she has no time for love. Michael has what he wants for his life all planned out. But that does not include finding his boss very good looking! Then they have there kiss of fate, her friend warned her about. After the kiss, she lets him go. Will she get him back?
Tamara Ferguson hit it out of the park with The Unforgettable Kiss. Her Writing flows and keeps you reading that you do not put the book down till you are finished. And it is well worth it. She pays close attention to detail, so you feel you are their with the characters. The characters are well developed and very real, the kind of you would want to be friends with. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.
That Unforgettable Kiss ( Kissed By Fate Book 1 ) By Tamara Ferguson 5/5 Stars

The story is always heartwarming and entertaining ! Once you start reading, you will not be able to put it down! What I enjoy the most with this author, is her strong female lead characters!!! This one is no different ! The story is captivating from beginning to end! You will thoroughly enjoy it, trust me!! Kate is young, but she has always known what she wants to do. Even at the tender age of nineteen , she knows she wants to take over her dad’s construction business one day. Her dad gives her the position of lead crew boss. She is stunned at the sudden new position. But she knows she will make her dad proud. Enjoy this roller coaster ride of a journey with Kate! Plenty of ups, downs, twists and turns! Such a heartfelt and enjoyable read! Great job, Tamara… until next time!!
That Unforgettable Kiss by Tamara Ferguson is the first book in her new series, Kissed by Fate, and what a fantastic read this book was. Unforgettable kiss follows the story of Michael and Kate, who had an instant connection the first time they met. With every moment that Kate and Michael spend time together, she reminisces about her dead friend who always said she would fall in love after a single kiss. Kate and Michael's journey is not without the hiccups of everyday troubles, including broken promises and impassable hurts, the only way these two will find their way back to each other is to see beyond everything else and focus on the feelings that that first kiss brought out of them. The characters in this book were so relatable with a story line, and just enough heat to make the story a little spicy. I have read several of Ferguson's books in past and this one is right in line with those with her writing style and way that makes her readers crave more of her writing. I can't wait to get to read of from this series as I know I will love whatever else she brings out.
At first when I read the blurb I thought “oh no, Ferguson has written a home wrecking type of story with a husband stealer as well! How can this be!?!” But since I have read other books by Ferguson, I decided I needed to give her a shot to explain the blurb, so to speak. I am so glad I took the chance!! This is another sweet well written adventure by Tamara Ferguson. She did not disappoint!
As with many situations in life and in any relationship, there is more than one side. And really sometimes, things are not what they seem.
There are quite a few characters in this story at the beginning and I couldn’t keep them straight; sisters, brothers, parents, friends. But as the story progressed just a little more, the characters began to make sense. As with Ferguson’s other stories, this one is also based in Crystal Rock at Dragonfly Pointe. Romance and misunderstanding leading the way as usual. I really enjoyed this story. I should have known that Ferguson wouldn’t let me down! Highly recommend this story!
That Unforgettable Kiss by Tamara Ferguson is book one of the Kissed by Fate Series. This contemporary romance is a must read!
Kate doesn’t have time for love. Love and men are just distractions. Kate’s plan is to take over the family business, Callahan Construction. She doesn’t have time for anything that doesn’t get her closer to that goal. That is until Michael Murphy sets foot in Crystal Rock as an intern for Callahan Construction. Michael and Kate work together to find a thief and naturally grow close. Neither one knows how a relationship will work between them when they have different goals.
Sometime has passed and Michael and Kate reunite but Kate might be too late. Can Kate convince Michael that she is who she should be with or is she too late? Has she lost him forever?
This book was such a great read. The characters were very relatable which absolutely added to the story! I absolutely recommend this book!
Tamara Ferguson spins a romantic tale of Kate Callahan and Michael Murphy. Learning early from her best friend Christina, that a kiss will play a monumental role in Kate's life. The problem is, Kate does not believe in fate.
Filled with surprising twists and turns, Ferguson sends your heart on a journey in search of the one. The one that will steal young Kate's heart. Jumping from one relationship to another, the driven Kate, who is now basically running her dad's construction company, just can't devote herself completely to a man, until she meets Murphy. Will a kiss be enough to allow fate to take over?
That Unforgettable Kiss by Tamara Ferguson is about Michael Murphy. after Michael arrives in Crystal Rock to serve as a summer intern at Callahan Construction. Michael meets Kate during the story. Kate and Michael (known as Murphy) had an instant attraction. If you enjoy contemporary romance then you’ll love this one. If you believe in that love at first sight or love at first kiss then again this book is for you. I found the story to be predictable just because the synopsis itself gave a lot of the story away. This was a cute short read and I’m glad I took the time to give it a go. The characters were well written and fun. I felt like I could find people I knew in these characters a lot. I definitely enjoyed this story and would love to check more of Tamara’s books out in the future.
That Unforgettable Kiss is the first book in the Kissed by Fate series by Tamara Ferguson. I liked this story a lot and was actually glad the drama level wasn't too high. Sometimes I get so tired of the drama that follows some of the story lines so the fact that this was relatively low drama with some excitement made me happy.
Kate and Murphy's story is a sweet love story. Even though they meet when they are younger things don't always work out the way we want them to. I loved the way they reconnected with one another and how they had some help in the background.
I have read several books by Ms. Ferguson and enjoyed everyone of them. I'm really looking forward to the next book in this series.
What a great story. It was magical and heartfelt. The author did a great job with the characters and the details in the story. Kate was a great character to read about she wasn’t full of her self and She worked hard. She didn’t enjoy life to its fullest but who does. Her and Murphy were perfect for each other from start. I love all the wonderful things that happened on the beach. The beginning of this book was sweet and sad. To lose someone so young. I recommend this story and any story the author writes about Dragonfly Point. The happily ever after is gold.
That Unforgettable Kiss is a story about fate. Once you are touched by it, the path to that happy ending is inevitable. No changing. It was destiny. There may be a few bumps on the way, and fate may be slowed down, but it can never be stopped.
Kate and Michael were no exception. All it took was one kiss, that led them on the unknown majestic tour of life, not knowing that the path would lead back to one another.
That Unforgettable Kiss was my first time reading Tamara Ferguson’s work. It was a delightful and sweet love story packed with a little intrigue and moments of tension that stretched just far enough to keep a reader riveted to the pages. A really enjoyable 4 star read.
That Unforgettable Kiss by Tamara Ferguson is a contemporary romance and the first book in the Kissed by Fate series. Katie was 14 when her dying best friend told her she would be kissed by fate but she would deny her love for years. At 19 she meets Michael Murphy and over the summer they spend together sparks fly until one unforgettable kiss. Can fate step in and give these two a happily ever after? I really enjoyed this story, there was romance, mystery and a lovable cast of characters. I have always enjoyed Tamara Ferguson’s books and this was no exception! I look forward to reading more of this series. This is a must read for fans of new adult and contemporary romance!
Destiny A fourteen year old, terminally ill girl with unusual intuitive abilities tells her best friend, Kate, that she will one day fall in love on a first kiss. Five years later Kate’s first kiss with Michael brings back memories of her beloved friend’s prediction. Fortunately, Michael feels a similar reaction on their first kiss. Unfortunately, life and five hundred miles keeps them apart for eight years, but their second kiss, even after all this time, rekindles the old passion. They are now both ready to allow their love to blossom but still need to deal with the problem that they live five hundred miles apart. A very interesting read.
THAT UNFORGETTABLE KISS by Tamara Ferguson is an engaging novel with believable characters and situations which flows very well from beginning to end. While the romance between Michael 'Murph' Murphy and Kate Callahan is the centerpiece of the story, their charm infusing the story with reality, it is excellently backed up by a cast of supporting characters who have a definite purpose in the narrative, and add to the mood of the piece. There is not only romance but also suspense, dry wit, and plenty of touching moments which provide depth, and balance to the story.
This is a sweet heart warming tale with a bit of everything. Now on to the main charters, we have Kate Callahan, who in my opinion is very mature for her age and that’s what made her unique then there is Michael Murphy who I found him to be straightforward and he knows what he wants in his life. Be careful there are twists you won’t see coming! I received this book from eBook Discovery in exchange for an honest review.
I don't know where to start on this review. The romance part of this book reminds me of older novels and the suspense could have been more suspenseful. I felt more like this book was an old friend. Comfortable to read but nothing new. The writing is fantastic. Her character developement is so believable even with the foretold fated kiss. I'd recommend this book to someone who isn't looking for an epic adventure or a smutty read.
I really liked this book a lot. I loved Kate and Michael as well as their families. So much going on between the mysterious disappearances of building supplies to Kate and Michael falling in love, to each forging their path and more. I want more in this world, series, family, more by this author. ~I received this book from eBook Discovery in an exchange for an honest review~
