Thank you so much to Netgalley for providing this ARC!

Oh, B.K. Borison has done it again (as we knew she would). I adore all of her other books, namely First Time Caller, so this was one of my most anticipated releases, and it did not disappoint!!

This book completely charmed me right from the get go. There’s an ease to the writing (as with all B.K. Borison books I feel) that makes it incredibly quick to read, but at the same time it doesn’t feel rushed. One of the main things I adored about this book was the the chemistry between our main characters - it comes across so naturally that it never felt forced/over the top/lust based, and it made me literally kick my feet and giggle at times (lol).

Our gorgeous MMC Jackson deserves his own paragraph because he’s literally that lovable and endearing. He’s written with the perfect mix of warmth, cuteness and lowkey vulnerability, which endeared him to me super quickly. Some of the quotes from his POV had me literally having to put down my kindle and stare at a wall for a bit - it was literally that serious🙂‍↕️ I fear he may be one of my new ultimate book boyfriends and I think it’ll take me a while to stop thinking about him LOL

The setting and the atmosphere were also wonderful - a lot of this takes place at a lodge in the middle of a snowstorm, which I felt gave this book a sense of coziness and intimacy and wintery-vibes that I absolutely loved.

Overall, this book is the perfect kind of read for when you want something cutesy but still meaningful and ‘deep’ in places, romantic but not cringey, and atmospheric enough make you feel like you are also at a snowy lodge with these characters. I was grinning ear-to-ear for majority of this book, and Jackson is the new blueprint. LOVED this book and would highly recommend you to pick it up once it comes out!!

I think I’m officially addicted to B.K. Borison’s new series. She’s always been a master at crafting adorable, whip-smart main characters—but this time she also serves up a villain so loathsome I wanted to turn him into a human punch-bag. From Keith’s first appearance, I was inventing increasingly creative curses to hurl at the page. My hatred for him briefly eclipsed my love for Jackson and Delilah (briefly!), and I kept wanting to wrap Delilah in a protective bubble because that woman deserves only good things.

The marketing nods to When Harry Met Sally made me grin, but what really stole the show are the tropes: forced proximity, grumpy-meets-sunshine, and opposites attract—all executed to perfection. Jackson became a parent figure far too young, raising his twin sisters like a single dad after being failed by a selfish, neglectful mother; he’s meticulous, controlled, and painfully selfless. Delilah, also abandoned by her mother and now caring for a grandfather whose memories are slipping away, is stuck under the thumb of an egotistical boss (hi, Keith) who sabotages her at every turn. Yet she keeps smiling, keeps showing up, even when it hurts. They carry different kinds of scars, but both are quietly heroic.

On the surface they couldn’t be more different. Delilah thrives in the spotlight—spontaneous, adventurous, a natural live reporter. Jackson hates cameras, clings to schedules, and breaks out in hives if someone rearranges his bullet points. Then comes the assignment: they must travel together to cover a historic—and frankly terrifying—snowstorm, filing stories from the eye of the blizzard. Cue the clashing styles, the snark, the slow warming. Jackson thinks Delilah is chaos in cute boots; Delilah thinks Jackson has forgotten how to have fun. What neither expects is how much they’ll learn about themselves while learning to work together.

The weather nerdery is a delight (two people flirting over radar models? Inject it into my veins), but it’s the emotional weather that matters: how each of them handles the metaphorical storms that shaped their lives. As miles and whiteout conditions pile up, walls come down. The banter is sparkling, the tenderness is earned, and the chemistry is the kind that fogs up windows. Somewhere between emergency broadcasts and roadside diners, “colleagues” becomes “friends,” and “friends” becomes…well, you’ll see. Let’s just say their forecast calls for undeniable.

Overall: I’m this close to launching an “I Hate Keith” merch line—T-shirts, mugs, the works—and mailing them out with copies of the book and a box of emergency, sprinkle-heavy cruffins. I haven’t loathed a character this much since Game of Thrones’ Joffrey and Ramsay. Thankfully, Delilah and Jackson’s sweetness (and those precious twins, Adeline and Penelope!) soothed my rage. This is another feel-good romance from B.K. Borison—one that lights up my heart like a string of Christmas lights and reminds me hope can survive the harshest weather, the worst bosses, and the messiest pasts. Five “let it snow” stars!

A very huge thanks to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing for sharing this extra-sweet, adorable romance’s digital reviewer copy with me in exchange for my honest thoughts.

B.K. Borison, you ATE once again 👏🏻👏🏻 thank you for your service and please never stop writing.

This book honestly surprised me in the best way. I have a bit of a love and hate relationship with Borison’s books, but it is safe to say she is really winning me over lately. This was one of my most anticipated releases of the year. Even though I was excited, I still had some doubts after reading ftc and not loving it as much as I hoped. I was nervous about how this one would compare but this book felt completely different in such a good way.

I loved the setting so much. Maybe it helped that there was a snowstorm in my city while I was reading lol, but everything felt so vivid and real. It had that magical quality where it feels like you are watching a movie play out in your head. The atmosphere was cozy, intimate, and so easy to get lost in. I also think her writing has improved so much, it feels cleaner and more confident. The story flows effortlessly and is very easy to read quickly, but it never feels rushed or underdeveloped. In a way every scene feels intentional.

My favorite part of this book definitely has to be the vulnerability between the characters. The way Delilah and Jackson slowly open up to each other felt so genuine. They are both so lovable in their own ways. I genuinely wanted to protect them both and keep them safe in my pocket forever😭

One of the things I love to read about in romance books the most is those moments of affection, like when the characters hold hands and hug a lot, those moments really warm my heart every single time and this book had the PERFECT amount of affection and physical touch between Jackson and Delilah🤌🏻 I know it sounds kind of stupid or lame but I have realized that lately most books tell those things rather than showing them so I always appreciate when the author show those scenes in the moment!!

Also I think it is important to mention that this book have mention of Alzheimer / dementia. It wasn’t a trigger warning in the arc, might be added on the finish copy idk but I thought it is something worth mentioning.

characters:

ೃ࿐ Delilah ❄️

⭑.ᐟ “I have a lifetime of being forced into other people’s too-small boxes. I have scars and bruises across my heart from every time I’ve been underestimated, undervalued.”

MY SWEET GIRL 🥺 I love her so much and she truly deserves everything good in life {aka fuck keith}. I loved reading about her. She might honestly be one of my favorite B.K. Borison female main characters. Delilah completely stole the spotlight of the story with her huge heart and beautiful personality. She feels so real in her fears and insecurities, and how hard she tries to please everyone else; that made her even more special to me. She is the kind of character you wish you could call your best friend; actually, I NEED her to be my friend (she is not real but who cares?)

ೃ࿐ Jackson❄️

⭑.ᐟ “I think you hide all of your best parts in tiny, little pouches, Jackson Clark.”

Jacksonnnnnn😛 I have to be honest, if a mmc wears glasses I’m gone!! He have me right there!!! no but seriously, aside from that, he was such a solid, lovable character. He is sweet, caring, and so devoted to the people in his life. I adored how protective and loving he is toward his sisters, seeing him as a big brother added so much depth to his character. He was so cute with his weather rambles, also I’m still laughing at the fact that he left a post it with a frowning face in her car’s window LMAOOOO .

He tries so hard to convince himself that he does not have feelings for Delilah, but it was so obvious from the start. The moment he could not stop staring at her in the turtle suit, I knew he was completely gone🤣. He is such a lover at heart and I loved watching him slowly accept that.

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥˚✿ °. delilah & jackson: 🌨️

They work perfectly together. Their chemistry felt natural and effortless. Even though they seem different on the surface, they just understand each other in a way that feels rare and special. They take care of each other, listen to each other, and create such a safe space together also their banter was one of my favorite parts. It was playful and sweet without ever feeling forced.

⋆˚⊹“Jackson is looking at me like maybe it feels like magic for him too.”⋆˚⊹

Some people might say their relationship leans toward insta love, and I can see that perspective. But when you consider their situation and the fact that they are stranded and spending days together in close proximity, it makes sense. Intense circumstances can fast track emotions so it felt believable within the context of the story in my opinion. Overall, this was such a cozy, heartwarming winter read. It completely pulled me in and left me smiling.

⋆˚⊹“You just said you don’t believe in fate.”
“But I believe in you,” I rasp. “God, Delilah. Do I believe in you.”

now now now, I NEED MAGGIE AND COOPER BOOK RIGHT NOW!!!!! LIKE THE AIR I BREATHE!!!! I don’t think I can act normal with I read their book. The glimpse we had of them in this book was killing me.😩😩😩

Also you guys know I’m not the biggest fan of Aiden nor Lucy but I liked seeing the few scenes of Aiden in here.

Anyways, this was really good🙂‍↕️ highly recommend!! Also I am seated for Cooper and Maggie book.

Borison is still a hit or miss for me but she is winning me over lately 🤞🏻so l have hopes that l'm going to love this one.

BK Borison cherishes the romance genre and you can tell. We’re in the middle of watching a classic, timeless series be built. Delilah and Jackson’s book is perfect—unapologetically soft with top notch banter, so comforting, FUNNY, HOT. Magic.

We did something right to get to live in the same timeline as BK, that’s for sure. Can’t wait for everyone to fall in love with this book 😭

P.S. sledding. come back to me when you know what this means.

══⋆⋅☆⋅⋆══╡ Overview: ╞══⋆⋅☆⋅⋆══

First of all, let me start by saying that I’m shocked by my rating, because I really thought this was going to be five stars for me. I loved Jackson in the first book and was waiting for his book—I genuinely thought his book was going to be five stars, but I was upset it wasn’t. Four stars is not a bad rating at all, it's just not what I was expecting to get from this book.

This book is so, so good, and I enjoyed it so much. I was even raving about it to my friends; however, the first book is much better in my opinion. The first book resonated with me more, and I related more to it than this one.

First-Time Caller had long chapters and a third-act breakup; this book doesn’t have those, which I loved. However, this book lacked in other aspects. There is no balance between the two books at all. This book lacks the emotional depth that the first book has. It doesn’t have any soul, if that makes sense. It doesn't feel like a 90s movie, the same way the first book does.

⁀જ➣꒰ ⋮ ρℓσт.꒱

The plot was so, so cute, and I really loved it. However, this book is not a memorable book by any means. First-Time Caller was a book I thought about for days because of the vibes, setting, and romance, but this one? It’s quite forgettable.

In fact, what started as a cute banter between the characters went downhill, and it felt repetitive at times. The inner monologues were almost the same, and they were worrying about their feelings instead of communicating. I mean, they did communicate with each other at times, which was a nice change. I just wish they communicated at ALL times. Their inner turmoil was quite repetitive.

Also, most importantly, this is NOT enemies to lovers. Jackson doesn’t even hate her, and he mentions that in the book. They just bicker for a few chapters, and that’s about it.

While First-Time Caller was a very slow burn, this book was quite the opposite. They fold for each other very early on in the book.

⁀જ➣꒰⋮ 𝕽𝖔𝖒𝖆𝖓𝖈𝖊.꒱

I loved the romance between Delilah and Jackson, but I think Jackson needs to be taken care of even more. Don't get me wrong, I loved their relationship, I just wish someone had taken care of him more than he did. Yes, Delilah took care of him, but at a certain point in the book, I felt like she was adding more to his plate.

However, Jackson's way of showing his love is very heart-melting. Their vulnerability with each other was very genuine to witness. This book had physical touch as a love language, and the glimpses of that made the romance swoon-worthy.

⁀જ➣꒰⋮ ᭙𝕣ⅈ𝕥ⅈꪀᧁ.꒱

The writing was good, not great. I feel like the writing in the first book was much better. The writing in the first one resonated with me much more and felt more relatable. I struggled to connect with this one emotionally.

══⋆⋅☆⋅⋆══╡ Characters: ╞══⋆⋅☆⋅⋆══

જ⁀➴ Jackson: This man is so perfect, I could cry. He needs to be protected at all costs. The things he said had me swooning and giggling. His weather rambles were adorable. I adored him in the first book, and even more in this book. He is such a green flag—he's grumpy, but soft and gentle in the way he loves and cares. I loved seeing him take care of his siblings—he's so protective and devoted to them, it made my heart melt. I related to him in certain ways: how he cares for his siblings, how organised he likes to be, and even his anxiety at times. This man struggles with so much weight on his shoulders that he's scared of letting anyone down. And let's not forget his friendship with Aiden, it is everything to me. I love them both so much—they're so funny together.

「✦ “I struggle with choosing my own comfort when other people are depending on me” ✦」

「✦ “I’ve never had much use for fun. I’ve relied on practical, predictable, probable, and logical. The best path forward has always been the one I can clearly see laid out in front of me in perfectly manageable steps.” ✦」

「✦ “I spent a lot of my childhood alone, aware that I was not only unwanted but avoided. I didn’t want that for the girls.” ✦」

「✦ “I’m pretty sure I’d give Delilah whatever she wants” ✦」

「✦ “Kiss me, Delilah,” he says. “Make it all go away. Please” ✦」

「✦ “I don’t want to ruin anything.”
Jackson watches me carefully. He palms the side of his jaw. “I don’t know how I can keep myself from kissing you.”
“Jackson—”
“I like how I feel when I’m with you,”
✦」

「✦ “I don’t want to kiss you as an excuse for something else,” he says quietly. “I just want to kiss you.” ✦」

「✦ “Let me take care of you. Okay?” ✦」

「✦ “There's very little I wouldn't do for you, Delilah.” ✦」

「✦ “Because,” he says, “I’m with you.” ✦」

「✦ “But with Delilah, I don’t want to be patient. I want everything, all at once” ✦」

「✦ “Don’t settle. Ask for what you need. Let me give it to you” ✦」

「✦ “You make it easier.”
“What?”
“Everything,”
✦」

「✦ “You said friends, and I said okay, because I’m going to take you however I can get you. If you wanted to call it casual, I’d take that too. Because I’d still get a corner of you to call mine. But I won’t have you call it nothing. I won’t have you taking time and space away from me. Not when I know how good it is.” ✦」

「✦ “Our contract says we will allow for mishaps and mistakes, without complaint . Why can you help me with my problems, but I can’t help you with yours? What happened to us taking care of each other?” He moves closer. “What about . . . getting to be loved by the people who choose us?” ✦」

「✦ “I’m not done with you,” he whispers. “Please don’t be done with me.” ✦」

「✦ “Be too much with me.” ✦」

「✦ “Things with us have never been simple or easy, but I’d rather be messy with you than have perfect with anyone else.” ✦」

「✦ “But I wanted to try. For Delilah. Because she always tries, even when it's hard.” ✦」

「✦ “You said you don't believe in fate.”
“But I believe in you,” I rasp. "God, Delilah. Do I believe in you.”
✦」

「✦ “I can love you on the mountains and I can love you back home. Watch and see how good I'm going to be.” ✦」

「✦ “I got everything I wanted, Delilah”
“A promotion? A newfound confidence in the European model?”
“No, baby.” His blue eyes shine bright in the afternoon sun. “You.”
✦」

જ⁀➴ Delilah: I struggled to connect with her—unlike how I related to Lucie. I liked her at first, but towards the end, she bothered me with how much she was adding to Jackson’s plate. She also felt bland at times, like I wasn't seeing much of her. However, putting that aside, she was a ray of sunshine in Jackson's life with her own battles and struggles that just wished to be taken seriously. It was nice seeing her interact with strangers and try to please them. I just wish she stood up to her boss sooner than when it happened in the book. However, I adored her relationship with her grandfather.

「✦ “I think you hide all of your best parts in tiny, little pouches, Jackson Clark.” ✦」

「✦ “I wish I knew how to make it easier for him, the way he makes it easier for me.” ✦」

「✦ “You’re not difficult,” she says quietly. “You just haven’t had anyone take care of you.” ✦」

「✦ “How many different parts are you forced to play, Delilah?”
“When I’m here with you? Just the one.”
✦」

「✦ “I think I need you, Jackson” ✦」

「✦ “I’m a mess,” I whisper.
“Then be a mess with me”
✦」

⋮ ⌗ ┆ 𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬:

જ⁀➴ Penelope and Adeline: I loved them so much, they were adorable. I loved seeing their relationship with Jackson, and how protective they were of him—just like he was of them.

「✦ “Yeah, Addie?”
“I love you.”
✦」

「✦ “Why do I need a mom when I have a Jackson?” ✦」

જ⁀➴ Aiden and Lucie: I love them so much, and I ate up every scene I got of them. We love seeing a couple grow.

「✦ “That’s the power of love, my friend.” His head tips to the side. “And biweekly therapy sessions” ✦」

「✦ “And me?” Aiden calls from somewhere in the background. “Do you love me, Jackson?” “You are questionable.” ✦」

જ⁀➴ Maggie: I wasn’t sure how I felt about her in the first book, but she is better in this book—not enough for me to love her just yet. But I can't wait for her and Copper's book.

જ⁀➴ Gianna and Mark: They deserve their own novella. I wanted more of them together.

જ⁀➴ Keith: I hate his guts. He is a terrible boss AND person.

જ⁀➴ Lottie: A great addition to the book, and a relatable one.

「✦ “Us oldest daughters, Lottie had laughed, we carry enough trauma to be excellent micromanagers.” ✦」

── .✦ 𝓕𝓲𝓷𝓪𝓵 𝓣𝓱𝓸𝓾𝓰𝓱𝓽𝓼: Overall, this book was a very enjoyable read. I guess my expectations were too high, and I thought it was going to be better than the first book—but I was wrong, sadly. I'm a little disappointed this wasn't five stars, but I still loved it so much.

As someone who adored First-Time Caller (My review), I was dying to read Jackson's book, because I adore him. He reminds me of Dorian from Throne of Glass. Is it just me? 😂😭 He's so soft and gentle, and when he loves, he loves HARD.

I'm already four chapters in, and he needs to be protected at all costs. HE IS MY BABY 😭🩵

ALSO, CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW STUNNING THE COVERS IN THIS SERIES ARE? THEY ARE SO PERFECT!!

“𝑲𝒊𝒔𝒔 𝒎𝒆, 𝑫𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒉,” 𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒔. “𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒊𝒕 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒈𝒐 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒚. 𝑷𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆.”

I can't believe how amazing this book was!!!!! I haven't read a book with two characters who display such tenderness toward each other in a loooong time 🥹 I was in love with Delilah and Jackson from their first encounter, and they had me riding such a giddy high throughout the entire book. Having these two weather lovers work together to broadcast a snowstorm made this even better because hellooo forced proximityyyyy 😮‍💨

Delilah Stewart is a meteorologist for Baltimore's news station who is all smiles and loves being on TV. The only problem is that she isn’t taken seriously, so when a weather assignment is handed to her, her mission is to succeed and finally earn the recognition she deserves. The only issue? She has to work with Jackson Clark, the weatherman for the radio station, who wants nothing to do with Delilah… until he starts noticing her and how she affects him 😌

“𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒂 𝒔𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒎,” 𝑰 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒓. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝑱𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒔𝒐𝒏’𝒔 𝒆𝒚𝒆𝒔 𝒅𝒆𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒏. 𝑨 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆, 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆. “𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆’𝒔 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝑰 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅𝒏’𝒕 𝒅𝒐 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖, 𝑫𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒉.”

These two complement each other so well. I was so impressed by how they brought out the best in each other, not only through their attraction but also how they talk about their insecurities. It was so beautiful to read 🥹 Also having the plot to broadcast a snowstorm made it even better!! Because yes, duh, I am talking about the delicious tension ❄️🔥

Their freaking attraction for each other started off soft and then turned into a crescendo of feelings to the point where they became feral for each other. Like pls, I ate it uppppp 😭 If you love the “one bed” trope as well as the “I need a kiss to distract me” trope, well um… drop everything and read this one, okay? 😮‍💨

“𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒎𝒖𝒄𝒉 𝒂𝒎 𝑰 𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆, 𝑫𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒉?” 𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒖𝒎𝒃 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔 𝒖𝒑 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒂 𝒅𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒐𝒑 𝒐𝒇 𝒎𝒚 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒕. “𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒎𝒖𝒄𝒉 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒍𝒆𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒔?”

Lastly, if you take away anything from this review I hope is this: Jackson wears glasses and is SO HOT. No, like you don't understand!!! As someone that has glasses myself and my sight is blurry if I don't wear them. The way he described her colors agh. My heart felt so seen!!!

I DONT CARE ABOUT ALL OF BALTIMORE 🗣️

“of course it’s you” (derogatory) to “of course it’s you” (affectionate)

love the trope of one person intensely hating the other while they just go about their day completely unbothered

thank you delilah and jackson for showing post it notes both as an argumentative form of communication and a romantic one

and bk borison who really said writing things down is the true romance

thank you to edelweiss and the publisher for providing me an advance review copy. full review to come

Do I like it? Do I not like it? I haven’t felt this conflicted about a book in a while. I said I would sit on it to gain some perspective, but I have sat and sat on it. If I continue, the book might get crushed under the weight of my indecision, which means I will likely never rate it at all.

And Now, Back to You follows the story of Jackson and Delilah, two meteorologists who fall in love. If you’ve read First Time Caller, you’ll remember Jackson as a member of the Baltimore radio team who spills meteorological facts whenever he gets anxious. I was genuinely excited about him getting his own story because I love nerdy MCs. Even better when it’s a nerdy MMC in love.

I’ll be honest and say that I wasn’t blown away from the beginning, as even the MCs’ first on-page meeting felt like a cliché. However, I was content enough with how everything was unfolding to keep reading, at least up until the very first kiss.

Ordinarily, the setting and circumstances should have made it feel electric, but instead it felt… off to me. And things went downhill quickly from there. Then came the aftermath. Poor Delilah running endless circles in her head about what should’ve been an exciting moment. I love reading about people stumbling and fumbling into love. I enjoy watching characters who do not quite know what they are doing but fall into each other anyway. Here, though, it simply was not well executed. They had multiple discussions, attempting to articulate their attraction and clarify their relationship, yet the result was always confusing even for me as a reader. People, it’s really not that hard. Why abuse the English language? Why must it suffer for your love?

I know, I know. It’s predictable that Jackson, who is always so put together and in control, doesn’t quite know what to do when he’s no longer guided by strict agendas and timetables. That fits his character and it’s a lovely idea, but I still wish he had been written more as a take-charge hero. That is why I read romance. I want to see love drag people out of their shells into unknown places. I want it to burn through their defenses, push them past their limits, and drive them into situations they would not naturally enter. I want to believe in the stories I read. But Jackson, true to his character comes across as annoyingly passive, which then causes the FMC to question herself repeatedly.

On the bright side, Delilah doesn’t hold it against him. His hesitation does come across as sweet at times. I also love the opposites-attract dynamic. Jackson, the meticulous planner, paired with Delilah, who feels like the reincarnation of a rogue train, is an intriguing contrast. If you love tortured MCs, you will definitely enjoy this, because between them there was just so much baggage to unpack:

🧳 Mummy issues

🧳 Family issues

🧳 Anxiety and Stage fright

🧳 Impulsiveness

🧳 Professional people pleasing

🧳 Professional doormat

🧳 Career troubles

🧳 Workplace scandal

At the end of the day, I love B.K. Borison and I will read whatever she writes. That said, this book wasn’t quite what I expected, but I would still call it a good read. For me, it was the many clichés, the MMC, and my inability to invest in the characters’ relationship that kept it from being great. So, my initial reaction still stands. I suspect I would have been happier reading about these MCs in therapy rather than in whatever it was they were entangled in.

Initial reaction

I think I would’ve been happier reading about these MCs in therapy. I’m not even being sarcastic when I say that. I rooted for Delilah and Jackson, separately. But I suppose this worked too.
What I don’t like though, was how the book kept hitting clichés back to back. I don’t know. I think I need to sit with it a bit longer. I’m still not entirely sure what to make of how I feel, so for now, people of Goodreads, back to you.

I swear this is the last book I’ll start today. I know I said that about the last one, but I just can’t resist. The cover, the blurb, EVERYTHING. I'm wondering who I have to proposition and what I have to bargain to make sure this is good.

thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. all opinions are my own.

folks, it’s official: my new favorite bk borison book!!!!

i honestly don’t know if i have the proper words to explain how amazing this book was, so please forgive me if this review is just me rambling.

first: delilah stewart. i love her so much??? i absolutely adored the way she was written. i adored her personality, how soft & vulnerable she is while still being strong, how big her heart is, and how much she loves what she does. tbh i want to be her friend so so badly 😭

jackson clark, the man that you are!!! oh my god?? i knew i would like him based on the crumbs we got in first time caller but wow he absolutely exceeded my expectations. he’s (very) intelligent, he’s grumpy (at first), he’s incredibly caring & thoughtful when it comes to his loved ones, he’s particular, he’s the best guardian to his younger sisters, and, last but certainly not least, he wears sluttly little glasses.

the way these two characters melted together (😉❄️) and were able to understand, exactly, what the other needed?? perfection. they showed up for each other time & time again and understood, together, what it means to be brave.

ALSO!! the side characters were so gooood!! some of my favorite moments in this book were surrounding jackson & his sisters. i absolutely adored seeing aiden & lucie (of course) but i also loved the entire cast of characters! if i’m right about my suspicions for who the next book will be about.. we’re in for a treat hehe.

also please note: this book contains a plot line surrounding a loved one with dementia/alzheimer’s

Consider this my formal petition for more pathetic mmcs.

Jackson is so utterly pathetic & obsessed and I LOVED it! The world deserves more pathetic (complementary) men.

And Now, Back to You is an easy-to-binge, banter-filled, perfect to snuggle up with on a cold winter night, romance book. You should absolutely pick this one up while the weather is still right for optimal vibes.

B.K. Borison has yet to disappoint. This was fun, quick, and left me wanting more from this world. Her banter never misses and this one had me LOLing, and grinning non-stop.

I loved our two main characters and all their flaws. Delilah reminded me a little of myself when I was younger and perpetually masking. I’m so glad she found someone to love her and that she felt comfortable taking her shield down for. Thats what we all deserve, someone (romantic or platonic) that will love all our bits, not just the parts we share with the world.

Whats to love…
- opposites attract
- mommy trauma x2
- single caregiver MMC
- slutty little glasses
- snowed-in
- only one bed
- body heat to stay warm
- “let me take care of you” x2
- he’s pathetic and ridiculously down bad
- she’s “too much” & he likes her just as she is

What might not work for some…
- I can see it now, some readers are going to say this is insta-love, and maybe they’ll be right. But insta-love happens in real-life and this is a VERY believable, trauma-bonding, finally--someone I can be myself around, kind of insta-love. 1,000% these two stay together forever.
- I personally thought there was SO much potential for more vulnerability, emotional intimacy, and character development with these two that what we got felt surface level at times. It was still good, but the potential for more was screaming at me, and I wanted that more!

This opposites attract romance has my heart! I absolutely adored this book. This is the second book in the Heartstrings series. It is about Baltimore meteorologists, where their rivalry may or may not turn into a long term romantic relationship. Some of the themes explored in this novel are self worth, vulnerability and taking creditability at work. I loved both of the main characters in this book and they did leave a lasting impression on me. This is a book that I will never forget about! This is a romance novel that is set in a cozy wintertime setting. While reading this book, the author did an amazing job with the world building! It made me feel lighthearted, whimsically, relaxed and hopeful.

My overall opinions on this book is that it came with a great plot, lovable characters, strong character development, and vivid imagery. While going into this book, I wasn’t expecting any spice to it. However it does have spice to it, very little though. It is well written, well structured and I found it to be hilarious at times! I would say this is more of a romantic comedy, even though it is just listed as a romance novel. The banter between the two main characters really had me laughing! I could feel the tension in the book between both of them. This is a no drama book that I was extremely grateful to read!

I think that readers who enjoyed the movies “When Harry Met Sally” and “Sleepless in Seattle” would really love this book! Furthermore, I think fans of Emily Henry and Rachel Lynn Solomon would love this book as well. Be sure to read the content warnings, if you wish to read them before reading the book. I highly recommend reading this book. I give this book a solid 5 out of 5 stars rating!

Thank you to NetGalley, author B.K. Borison and
Berkley Publishing Group for this advanced eARC in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

This book is expected to be released on February 24, 2026!

4.0 ★— Jackson Clark, your endearing nerdiness, nervous rambling, and commitment to occasion-specific shirts have enchanted me.

After my lukewarm reaction to the first book in this series, I am so happy to report that this one really hit the mark for me. Jackson is such a genuinely lovable MMC: he’s responsible, has a strong caretaking streak, and him being guardian to his teenage sisters really demonstrates those qualities well.

He’s the perfect antithesis to Delilah, who is a bit of a mess while still being a fully competent meteorologist, Borison managing to effortlessly show off the fun dynamic between them. Watching Jackson lose his cool around her and get flustered by her antics in the beginning made for such an entertaining foundation for their relationship, and Delilah's mostly amused, more nonchalant reactions were genuinely charming to read!

If I had to bring up a few negatives, it’s that, like with the first book, I sometimes felt like certain scenes were drawn out a bit longer than necessary. These two admit their attraction relatively early on, and while these books are sweet, comforting entertainment, they don't contain much emotional tension or texture beyond that to really sink your teeth into. Because of that, the story length didn’t always feel fully warranted, and after reading First-Time Caller and this one back to back, the cozy tropiness of it all did start to feel a bit repetitive.

But as a palate cleanser or pick-me-up read, as that safe romance you know will leave you with some warm, fuzzy feelings, these books are kind of perfect and serve their purpose very well.

(Praying that the next book is Maggie-focused! I need the terrifying boss FMC to fall in love!)

HAPPY PUB DAY TO A FAV READ OF 2025!! I CAN'T WAIT TO LISTEN TO THE AUDIOOO🩵

a favorite read of 2025🩵

“how special it is to be loved by someone who chose me. over and over again.”

C R Y I N G ♾️ STARS !!!!!

i just really loved everything about this book: jackson and delilah’s budding relationship, the humor and the spice (spice was minimal which is disappointing considering i loved the mcs together womp womp), how delilah was a fun and quirky character that wanted to be taken seriously while still maintaining her sunny personality; just everything about this book was beautiful. the subplots? phenom.

and ok i literally think bk borison is magical — with every book, i love her mmcs even more and more.

jackson is probably my dream man — he is the epitome of healthy masculinity: he is the legal guardian of his twin sisters and cares for them with all the love and respect one could imagine, but he worries he’s not enough for them (spoiler, he IS!!); he’s grumpy and gruff and awkward but still very considerate towards the people he loves; he’s also insanely type a (yes pls) but feels safe to be spontaneous with his PERSON!!! and he’s SMART! we love a man with book smarts and emotional intelligence.

i wasn’t originally going to buy the afterlight edition (saving money you know) but i definitely want it after eating this romcom up.

NEXT ONE ASAP PLSSSS BK BORISON TYYY🩵

better than the first one, that’s for sure (and i LOVED first-time caller okay!). i’ll never shut up about this book.

i devoured this. words can’t describe how much i love jackson, delilah, their story and this series. i don’t care if it sometimes gets too cliché. i was hooked from the very first sentence till the epilogue and this book deserves nothing but praise.

jackson was my fav in the first-time caller. whilst aiden and lucie were great and fun characters to follow, jackson had the magic to steal the show sometimes and put all the attention on him. he’s definitely someone you want to get to know, but i never expected to be hit with such emotions. for me, he’s one of the best book boyfriends. and his relationship with his sisters? despite his little flaws (because we all have them), he truly is a perfect man.

also as someone with a journalism degree, i understand jackson’s anxiety when it comes to being live. it’s one of the reasons why, after graduating, i have decided to never be a journalist lol.

delilah is a complete opposite of jackson and a perfect fmc. i loved everything about her and even more when she started standing up for herself. she’s definitely the type of person you want in your life. fun, but also so caring.

they fit so much. at first, the slight banter makes you chuckle multiple times but as the story goes on and they get to know each other more, it shifts into a beautiful love story. i won’t lie, i caught myself blushing several times. the chemistry is really intense in this book.

as i hinted, i have nothing against this book and i really enjoyed it. and i soooo can’t wait for the third book. i’m sure it will be as good as the first two!

The EXCITEMENT is REAL 🤩

I have been waiting for this sequel for SOOOO long! Not going to lie, the expectations were HIGH…so, did it live up to the hype?

YEAH, BABY 🙌🏽 this was EVERYTHING I wanted and MORE 😭

Weather girl meets weather boy…and a big storm is coming your way… ❄️🩵✨

Two competing meteorologists are forced to find common ground in this opposites attract romance. Think love to hate, laugh out loud moments, a snow storm in the mountains, forced proximity, the list of highlights is ENDLESS. A must-read for sure!

"It's always been me coming right back to you. You're the end of every sentence, Delilah. I've just been too stubborn to see it." 💖

Jackson and Delilah have clashed for years; a rumbling thunderstorm. Lightening strikes ⚡️- they find themselves paired up by their bosses to cover the biggest snowstorm in decades ❄️ Delilah was to be taken more seriously. Jackson wants to recover a sense of fun in his life. Each can help the other achieve their goals and ace this assignment. But when they’re stuck in a one bed cabin in the mountains, can they withstand the storm?

AHHH! This book was so perfect from the very first page 😭 (and I do not say that lightly!). Borison was been one of my favourite authors for years but this book reached a new level of excellence. I literally had to prise this book from my hands 🙌🏽

Let’s get into the characters:

Jackson Clark is the sweetest 🥹 from the word go, I loved this man. What he sacrificed and did for his sisters melted my heart by the end of chapter 1 🫠 Furthermore, he is basically the man version of me 😂 he likes life to be predictable and controlled. It is rare I find the MMC to be more relatable than the female but that seemed to be the case in this story; Perfectionist unite 🙆🏻‍♀️ On top of that, he is a solid, reliable, and devoted man. I loved this weather rambles and how he tried to deny his feelings for Delilah, but was so obviously a deep lover at heart. Watching him slowly unravel was so satisfying 🤭

Delilah Stewart is his polar opposite in every way. She likes to live life on the wild side; spontaneous and out in the field, in the eye of the storm. She was SO hilarious, whether she meant to be or not. Although I personally didn’t relate to her, she was a very real and genuine character that I found easy to connect with. Her huge heart and even bigger and brighter personality was highly infectious and enjoyable to read about. She exuded pure sunshine, whether or not she felt it on the inside. Just like anyone else, she had plenty of fears and insecurities and I loved how open and vulnerable she was with Jackson. If I had to explain her in a word I would choose loveable 🥰

This is without a doubt one of my favourite couples. They fitted so seamlessly together; it felt natural and easy to be in their company. From their first encounter, their interactions felt effortless, they understood each other in a special kind of way. And while they definitely brought the fun, they also created a safe space for each other to be completely vulnerable. I absolutely adored the little acts of kindness they did for each other. There was no miscommunication or uncertainty, they were just open and honest with each other through both easy and challenging times.

"You just said you don't believe in fate."
"But I believe in you," I rasp. "God, Delilah. Do I believe in you." 🥹💖✨

One of my favourite things about this book was the setting! It was so perfect to read at this time of year. There’s something special to me about reading a book set in the same month that you’re currently in; it makes me feel more connected to the story 🤷🏻‍♀️ Aside from that, the snowstorm and power-outage made for a cozy, intimate atmosphere that naturally allowed for an accelerated relationship to form.

"Thank you for driving me through a snowstorm," I whisper. The lines by Jackson's eyes deepen. A secret there, somewhere. "There's very little I wouldn't do for you, Delilah."

Overall, this was a FANTASTIC read. Definitely one of my favourites of the year so far 🙌🏽 It was the ultimate cozy, heartwarming read for a winter’s day. Now, I await Borison’s next release 🙇🏻‍♀️

This was definetly better than the first time caller, I had so much more fun reading this one. Jackson is literally to die for. OMG I absolutely loved him in his book. He is such a lovable person. I loved the whole concept of them going to a small town to report about the weather. Delilah and Jackson belong together, like omg they need each other so much.

i forgot how much i actually enjoyed b.k. borison’s writing. it feels so refreshing in a way i can’t explain. it’s simple but intentional, and her characters are so well written and genuinely such a joy to read. i don’t know how to compare this to ftc, because even though they share may similar themes, they are also very different in many subtle ways. but the bottom line is, i really liked them both.

𓂃 ꒰ ⌗ thoughts ꒱

this was so cute. the setting, first and foremost, is absolutely perfect for this story. the snowy atmosphere is so cozy and perfect for the unfolding of an equally cozy romance. i felt completely swept away the entire time, and even though this takes place in the real world, it felt similar to the kind of escapism you get from reading a fantasy novel. maybe i just really love winter and all the coziness and quietness that comes with it, but whatever the reason, it was one of my favorite aspects of the book.

this book feels a lot simpler than ftc in many ways. the plot line is more straightforward with no third act breakup or really any relationship conflict - it’s pretty much a smooth ride for jackson and delilah, aside from their tiny rough start. that said, even their initial “dislike” for each other was pretty timid, and they gave into each other quite easily and very early on. this didn’t make it any less satisfying, it was just different. what i like about this is that the conflicts come from forces outside their relationship, and every challenge becomes a ground on which their relationship is tested and made stronger. this also gave more room for some of the deeper themes of the novel to unfold, like ambition and dreams, career frustration, family and sacrifice, and most of all, vulnerability.

overall, this felt more subtle and softer than ftc, but not in a way that necessarily took away from its impact. i still love the characters, i still love the romance, and i was still eating it up just the same.

𓂃 ꒰ ⌗ characters ꒱

౨ৎ delilah: this woman is an absolute ray of sunshine, a double shot of espresso, a breath of fresh air. she is the kind of woman i imagine people write poems about, the kind of woman i instantly picture picking flowers in a field or walking through a forest speaking to animals. she’s unapologetically whimsical and chaotic and i love her so much for it. her passion for meteorology was such a refreshing touch to the storyline, and some of my favorite parts of the book were the little clips of her being on the air. it was such a perfect way to outline her fun, eccentric personality. she was truly a joy to read, and she brought such a bright light to the book in general.

౨ৎ jackson: i love love love a soft man. i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, we need more soft men in romance books!! i love how nerdy and awkward he is, and how he lets delilah shine completely without making any attempt to dull her wildness. his reserved, almost shy dynamic isn’t often portrayed in male leads of romance novels, which is a shame because i eat it up every time. jackson brings justice to the soft blonds of book boyfriends. also, his relationship with his siblings is so cute!! i knew right away from the way he treated penelope and adeline that he was a good man.

౨ৎ delilah & jackson: something i love about their dynamic is that neither one of them seems to take the “lead”, they both equally take care of each other, even though delilah is the one to make the first move and continues push jackson whenever he needs a little push. it’s not that she wants him more, or that he doesn’t want her, it’s just that they have different ways of approaching their love for each other. jackson is careful and meditative with his actions towards delilah, and i love to see that. he is cautious with her exactly because he likes her so much. i hate when authors make the mmc’s get super aggressive and possessive right away as a way of expressing how much they like them, or to make them seem more ‘attractive’. once again, justice for the soft boys - sometimes they just do it better. love and yearning can still be intense while being gentle and cautious, and jackson and delilah are the perfect example of that. I LOVE THEM!!!

𓂃 ꒰ ⌗ final thoughts ꒱

i fear i probably expected too much from this, mostly because a lot of people are saying they found it more enjoyable than ftc, which obviously became very well liked by many (myself included). i was slightly disappointed i didn’t love it more, as my personal rating for it is more or less in the same lane as ftc. that said, i still really enjoyed them both, so it’s safe to say b.k. borison has officially gained a new fan.

“for the sunshine optimists.
and the cloudy skies they brighten.”

it feels kind of rare for me these days to start a book that immediately from the first page feels like the book is going to be pure magic. unless a book starts out with just the most out of pocket first line i dont find myself highlighting the first chapter pretty much ever but ended up highlighting like 7 different paragraphs or convos through out, including the first few sentences of the books bc i simply just could not stop giggling at a grumpy jackson and the fun chaos of him and the girls.

i read first time caller in september of 2024 and recently again with the audiobook at the beginning of november and both times fell head over heels for jackson and his idiosyncrasies HARD. i knew i was going to totally love him but what shocked me a little was that i somehow found myself loving him, delilah and their story more than FTC, which felt insane because i have been absolutely obsessed with that book for over a year now lol.

it is somehow so hard for me to put into words how this book is absolute perfection. its witty, its cozy, its SEXY, its unputdownable.

there’s delilah our sunshine, silly, chaos personified girl who is not only beauitful inside and out but so smart and driven. shes actually the most perfect woman to ever fictionally exist in my eyes. theres just something so special about the way shes able to still be so vulnerable and soft even when shes being basically tormented for simply existing and being good at her career. i love the range of emotions she has and the way she isn’t afraid to wear her heart on her sleeve. the way shes able to calm jackson’s mind and help him see just how wonderful he is UGH i love her so much.

jackson clark is basically the only book boyfriend to exist ever, like dead ass. i could honestly go on for days about him but this is all youre getting. hes perfect, end of story, argue with a wall!

these characters felt so extremely relatable to me as someone who has spent their whole life feeling that they are simultaneously too much and not enough. stories with these characters always mean SO much to me because its so bittersweet to see people i relate all of my hardest feelings with getting their happy endings and getting to see them overcome their obstacles. fictional or not, it means a lot to me to see big or little wins like that.

bk saw us say “bring back yearning” and FUCK did she deliver tenfold. the way these two shared one room, ONE BED and yet somehow still seemed like they were on completely different planets missing and wanting each other. its simply baffling to me how much of a genius bk and her writing is,

it feels like such a treat to be alive at the same time bk borison is writing and publishing what will without a doubt become cult classics in the romance world. to be a small part of it being able to review early and proceed to shove it down anyone out will listens throat when its release is something i will forever be grateful for 🩵

i cannot wait to make this book my entire personality for the foreseeable future as this was my favorite read of 2025 and i am very confident it will take a miracle to make me love a book more than i love this one.

and now, back to you 🌨️🩵

And Now, Back to You is the second book in B.K. Borison’s ‘Heartstrings’ novel. I was so excited to get Jackson’s story and I adored it.

I love the troupe with one buttoned up character and one chaotic one. It’s so fun to me, to see that dynamic and how it works. The balance. Delilah was definitely the chaos to Jackson's calm and I adored them together.

The forced proximity was great, Jackson being a caretaker for his sisters, and of course, the romance. Overall, I had such a great time reading this one. The end had me grinning ear to ear.

This was such a breath of fresh air after what I’ve been reading lately!

This book had some big shoes to fill after First Time Caller, but it did not disappoint! In fact, I liked this one better. BK is the queen of witty banter, and this was full of it! She writes characters you can’t help but love (can’t lie Delilah did hug me at first but I grew to enjoy her), and there’s always the underlying emotional stories that make rom coms that much better in her books!

And now back to you 🥹😭🫶🏻🥰

The ending lost me a bit, so that’s why I docked a star.
