My Isekai Family Life: Raising Adorable Non-Human Children: Volume 1

Rate this book
After a tragic accident ends her old life, Mira awakens in the fantasy town of Millhaven with a chance to fulfill her deepest wish—becoming a mother. When she impulsively rescues Lyrian, a young elf boy being sold in the marketplace, she discovers her true calling isn't giving birth to children, but providing a loving home for those society has cast aside.

As Mira and Lyrian learn to be a family, their household grows with the unexpected arrival of Pip, an abandoned goblin child whose boundless energy and climbing abilities turn their quiet home upside down. With the patient support of Captain Marcus Aldric—whose own feelings for Mira deepen with each passing day—she begins laying the groundwork for something an orphanage that welcomes children of all races.

But building a family across species lines isn't easy. Between navigating local politics, learning goblin dietary requirements, and dealing with community prejudices, Mira must prove that love transcends the boundaries others want to maintain. As winter approaches and their bonds strengthen, she faces her greatest challenge yet—expanding her mission while keeping her growing family safe and whole.

A cozy isekai tale of healing, hope, and the many forms that family can take.

A Lovely Tale Filled with Love & Hope

A lovely tale filled with love and hope. When Mira gets reincarnated into a magical world filled goblins, elves and other magical creatures, she decides to open a foster home and adopt all children, of all races. Through her big heart, Mira is able to overcome society’s prejudices and prove that love is the key and even blended families are deserving of such love. Plus, there’s a blossoming romance between Mira and Captain Marcus.

Can’t wait to read the rest in this heartwarming series!

light read fluff

Its a feel good tale that says how it will be difficult with no difficulties happening. If you're fine with that you'll enjoy this read. I question that it's never explained where or how the MC has money or earned it at any point, but again can still enjoy.

My main contention is the final bonus chapter. The inconsistencies out-way any potentially caused by being from the child's point of view and that angered me, probably more than it should.

That being said I'll probably read book two to see the dwarf toddler introduced at the end of this book. I won't be reading any bonus chapters though.

feel good story

I liked it very nice story. It developed naturally and wasn’t juvenile in its approach. The bonus chapter on Lyrian didn’t sync with the main storyline.
