DARK and So Good

I initially avoided this series because I didn't, and still don't, like the original covers. As sad as that may seem, it's the truth. The new cover for the series, which is significantly different from the individual books, opened me up to the possibility. And I'm SO happy that I gave it a shot!

This series is all kinds of messed up. It's check-your-triggers dark, wicked, steamy, haunting, and violent. Did that stop me from enjoying it? No, and that's all there is to it.

Reading in order is highly recommended.

The narrators are Kelsey Navarro and Blake Lockheart, with Kelsey carrying the bulk of the book as it's mostly from Shayne's POV and not in duet. She does a great job making sure all that attitude, strength, and desperation come hurdling across my earbuds. Blake is also good for those chapters that I get to hear him. 🎧❤️🎧

Psychos 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Games and Threats
I immediately love Shayne "Empress" Mariano. She has an attitude and sass for miles. It gets her in trouble several times, but it's also totally awesome! Even when her world turns to utter shit, her resilience still shines through.

Fuck homelessness and fuck turd-tastic landlords. They can shove a stick of dynamite up their bitch asses and play with a box of fireworks while hoping to God they don’t blow themselves up. We shall call it dynamite roulette and it will be the game of the century.

The DeAngelis brothers, Levi, Marcus, and Roman, are massive alphaholes that are barely likeable. There's a sliver of... something about each of them that appeals, but for the most part, they are giant, murderous asses.

Their interactions with their father are very telling. And the secrets that pop up are... well, I'll let you make your own determinations about those. And learning more about her father isn't any better.

Now, the sizzle bursting forth is sometimes unexpected and frequently in interesting places. It also comes in several combinations including FFM and MFM.

I nearly forgot to give my condolences for Tarzan. 🍆 He gave a good run but didn't complete his final performance. 😂

As for that cliffhanger... ☠️🖕😝 It's a good thing I have book 2.

There are a lot of triggers in the first book of this dark, steamy tetralogy. A few to consider: descriptive violence, substance abuse, multiple types of assault, and more. I'm guessing that reading in order is highly recommended.


Heathens 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Marks and Pain
Shayne Mariano is in a world of hurt. This starts exactly where book one ends, and it isn't pretty. Not even a little.

This is just as twisted, steamy, and tormenting as book one. The triggers are strong, so please check if you need to. The danger is at every turn.

I wouldn't call the wolves cute pets, but they gain more of the spotlight. They are protective. And... they are given names. 😂 Shayne really is missing Tarzan as she names them Dil and Do. 🤣 Let's hope they both make it to the end credits. 🤞

As for the cliffhanger... ☠️🖕😝 It's a good thing I have the entire series, or I'd be ticked. Have I mentioned that I hate cliffhangers? I do. Does that stop me from reading the books? Apparently not. *sigh*

Reading in order is highly recommended. Still, there is a pretty decent recap if you haven't read 'Psychos' first.


Savages 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Twisted Love
This starts with several dark scenes. Checking the triggers is definitely suggested, as there are more where that came from.

Shayne Mariano proves just how much of a badass she is, taking advantage of opportunity when it presents. She's seriously got ton of courage, standing up to pretty much everyone. Even when her back is to the wall.

This is about getting in and getting out. Hard, fast, and raw.

As I said before about the cliffhanger... ☠️🖕😝 It really is a good thing I have the entire series, or I'd be ticked. Have I mentioned that I hate cliffhangers? I do, and this one is a doozy. Does that stop me from reading the books? Apparently not. *sigh*


Maniacs 🌟🌟🌟🌟 .5 - What a Conclusion!
This picks up exactly where 'Savages' left off. This is dark, very dark. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that this is the darkest installment of the tetralogy. Checking the triggers is definitely suggested, as there are plenty that are covered, including ☠️🩸SA.

Shayne Mariano continues to prove how courageous and strong she is. When she's graped, the taunting and back talk makes her my hero. She may not be able to physically stop it, but the verbal barbs are priceless. There are several other examples, but this is possibly the best example of her wit and strength.

Giovanni did mention that he wanted me to become his wife. The thought alone makes me sick, but it’s also a way to get close to him.

Dil and Do continue to do what they do best. For good and evil, these wolves are loyal. I like that they are part of the revenge tour.

Reading in order is highly recommended. On to the extended HEA before I step away from this crazy, f*cked up world.


Beasts 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Yet Another Adventure
OK, so this wasn't exactly the extended HEA that I was expecting, but I can't deny that it was perfectly fitting. It's dark and scary and perhaps a wee bit haunting (we'll see how my dreams go).

Shayne Mariano DeAngelis Moretti and the DeAngelis brothers, Levi, Marcus, and Roman, are still a fierce unit, ready to protect and defend what's theirs. I like that some things never change between them.

I love that Dil and Do continue to hold their roles in the family. Their ability to be loving one moment and lethal the next is a reflection of their owners.

There is one thing that bothers me a bit. What happened in that final scene in book four? How did that resolve? I kinda want the whole bow, not just one loop.

This could be read as a standalone, but I'd personally recommend reading in order.

Soooo good!! I couldn't stop listening to this series. Depraved Sinners is 4 books plus one novella all in one, totaling about 1600 pages (about 51 hours in audio).

There were so many, "omg what's going to happen next?!" moments! So much spice, suspense, kidnapping, murder, and so much more!
Plus wolves (not werewolves lol)!

I only heard of Sheridan Anne within the last year or so, and she quickly became one of my favorite authors!

Okay, where the fuck do I even begin with this completely unhinged series?! 😂Depraved Sinners gave me major Den of Vipers vibes with the DeAngelis brothers coming to collect the woman they were “owed” because of her father’s debt. It also reminded me of Carnage because of the castle, torture dungeons, three dangerous men trapped inside with one woman they all share, and—of course—even more torture. But we are not comparing Shayne to that cunt Ashton. Absolutely the fuck not. #FuckAshton 🖕🏼
Shayne Mariano is a fucking BADASS. I will always love an FMC with a wicked tongue, a smartass mouth, and enough courage to look a psychopath directly in the eyes and tell him to go fuck himself. This woman could be bruised, bleeding, terrified, and completely outnumbered, yet she would still find the perfect insult to piss everyone off. 😂 This entire series is violent, twisted, filthy, chaotic, and packed with so much back-and-forth banter that I was constantly going from horrified to laughing my ass off. One minute someone is being tortured in a dungeon, and the next Shayne is naming two deadly wolves Dil and Do so their names sound like dildo. That pretty much sums up the energy of this series. 🤣

She’s mouthy, gritty, stubborn, resourceful, fiercely independent, and an absolute force to be reckoned with. Her wit, sarcasm, and sharp tongue are already deadly weapons before you even add her growing kill count. She gives as good as she gets and refuses to become anyone’s obedient little victim. Also, this woman named her vibrator Tarzan. 🍆😂 Please accept my condolences for Tarzan, who had a good run but unfortunately did not survive long enough to give his final performance.

🔪 THE DEANGELIS BROTHERS 🔪
The DeAngelis brothers will stalk you until you’re bleeding out in their hands—and then threaten anyone else who dares to make you bleed.

Roman DeAngelis: Roman is the eldest brother and carries the weight of protecting his family. He’s controlled, guarded, commanding, and completely devoted to his responsibilities. After his father murdered the woman Roman loved—the woman who was carrying his baby—he became heartbroken, hardened, and nearly impossible to charm. He doesn’t give his trust easily, but when he finally loves, he loves with everything he has.

Levi DeAngelis: Levi is the youngest brother and the most emotionally complex. He frequently becomes trapped inside his own mind and uses his drums to keep both his thoughts and his hands occupied. He generally follows his brothers’ lead, for better or worse, but he also has a softer and more vulnerable side. Shayne becomes a source of comfort and peace for him in a world that has never offered him much of either.

Marcus DeAngelis: Marcus is sick in the fucking head—and somehow, I mean that affectionately. 😂 He is cocky as FUCK, violently unpredictable, possessive, and always chasing the next rush. He’ll brutally take whatever he wants without a second thought. Yet this completely unhinged man is also the first brother to truly fall for Shayne. She sees the darkness inside him without immediately looking away, and being seen by her gives him something worth living for. He becomes fiercely protective of her and is willing to shed his darkness—or at least redirect it—for her light.

Roman is commanding, Levi is calculated and quietly damaged, and Marcus is pure chaos. Together, they are three massive alphaholes who start out barely likable. Unfortunately, their humanity slowly begins peeking through, and before I knew it, those murderous assholes were growing on me like a bad rash. 🤪

🐺 DIL & DO 🐺
I absolutely LOVED the wolves. I have always wanted a wolf as a pet, so naturally, I became emotionally attached to them. The fact that Shayne named them Dil and Do—Dil-Do—absolutely killed me. 😂 They reflect the DeAngelis family perfectly: loving and loyal one moment, then completely lethal the next. They aren’t merely pets thrown into the story for decoration. They become part of the family, participate in the revenge tour, and protect the people they claim as their own. When Dil was shot, I cried. I always cry when an animal gets hurt, but thankfully, he survived. 😭🐺

🚨 MAJOR SERIES SPOILERS BELOW 🚨
GIOVANNI DEANGELIS
Giovanni is the leader of the DeAngelis clan and the undisputed winner of the WORST FATHER OF ALL FUCKING TIME AWARD. This man strangled the brothers’ mother, locked her body inside a glass coffin, and displayed her at the top of the castle instead of allowing her to be buried. He repeatedly takes the women his sons love, and either kills them, rapes them, impregnates them, or subjects them to some other horrifying fate. There are villains you enjoy hating, and then there is Giovanni. He deserved every awful thing that happened to him—and honestly, probably worse.

GIA MARIANO MORETTI
Gia and Giovanni should have just gotten together because they are both HORRIBLE parents. Gia is the leader of the Mariano clan, the DeAngelis family’s greatest rival. She abandoned Shayne, only to return when she realized her daughter could be useful. Her plan was to train Shayne to kill Giovanni and then put a bullet through her own daughter’s head once the job was finished. GIA MORETTI—YOU FUCKING BITCH. You wanted to use your own daughter to kill Giovanni and then murder her afterward?! ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?!

I swear the parents in this series are competing to see who can traumatize their children the most.

📕 BOOK ONE: PSYCHOS

There’s a tiny sliver of something appealing beneath all the murder and cruelty, but for the most part, they are giant, dangerous asses. Their interactions with Giovanni are extremely telling, and the secrets surrounding both Shayne’s father and the DeAngelis family create plenty of questions. The book begins with a fun and relatable female lead, but it quickly escalates into violence, captivity, assault, and pure chaos. The pacing slows down during the middle, and I didn’t find every part completely believable, but it kept pulling me in. There are several scenes clearly designed for shock value, plenty of violence, a little action, and enough unexpected sexual tension to keep things interesting. The spice arrives in several combinations, including FFM and MFM. Then, just when everything really starts heating up, it ends on a wicked cliffhanger. ☠️🖕🏼😝 Well played, Sheridan Anne. It’s a damn good thing I already had book two.

Heathens begins exactly where Psychos ends, and Shayne is in a world of hurt. It isn’t pretty—not even a little. The reader is immediately thrown back into chaos, danger, death, and actual torture. The brothers are still massive alphassholes, which surprises absolutely no one. However, their humanity begins showing more with every chapter, and I fear this was when I started getting dangerously close to actually liking them. This installment also develops a wicked sense of humor. Maybe I’m twisted—judge me all you want—but some of the banter was fucking hilarious.
“Stockholm warrior.” 🤣🤣🤣

This is also where the wolves receive more attention and officially become Dil and Do. Shayne was clearly still mourning Tarzan when she came up with those names. 😂 The pacing was faster than book one for the most part, although there were still a few slower sections. At one point, I wasn’t sure whether I would continue the series. Then the story picked back up, ended on another brutal cliffhanger, and suddenly I was invested all over again.

“Twinkle, twinkle little star. Heathens coming, brand new scar. Slaughter turns to pained goodbye. Never knowing if I’ll die.”

📕 BOOK THREE: SAVAGES
Rating: 4 ⭐️
Theme: Twisted Love

Obviously, I had to start Savages immediately after finishing book two because WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT ENDING?! This book picks up almost exactly where Heathens ends, with only two days having passed. It opens with several extremely dark, bloody, and violent scenes—and honestly, experiencing some of it was almost cathartic. Shayne proves yet again that she is an absolute badass. She recognizes opportunities and takes advantage of them, even when the odds are against her. This woman has a ridiculous amount of courage and will stand up to practically anyone, even with her back pressed firmly against the wall. Meanwhile, the DeAngelis brothers are becoming increasingly likable. Damn it all! I was much happier when I simply hated their grumpy asses. 🤪 Dil and Do continue stealing scenes. When they are sweet, they are so freaking sweet—but when they enter work mode, you do not want to be the person standing in their way. This installment is packed with drama, action, danger, violence, and steam. The stakes constantly escalate, and it ends on yet another absolutely unhinged cliffhanger. Have I mentioned that I hate cliffhangers? Because I do. Does that stop me from immediately reading the next book? Apparently fucking not. *sigh*

“Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Savages rising, watch how they fall. All of the heartache and all of the pain couldn’t put me back together again.”

One of my favorite Shayne moments is when Marcus tells her no, and she basically informs him that she heard him perfectly clearly—she simply decided he could go fuck himself with a machete. 😂 That woman refuses to be treated like anyone’s little bitch, and I love her for it.

Marcus’ eyes narrow and Levi takes a step back, wanting nothing to do with it as Roman leans against a table, looking bored. “I told you no,” Marcus says. “I heard your ‘no’ loud and clear and decided that you can go and fuck yourself with a machete,” I say, looking up at him with big, round, innocent eyes, reminding him that while I am sugary sweet, I’m also as sour as they come. I’m not one he wants to cross when I’m fifty shades of pissed off. “I’m your equal, remember. Or have you forgotten? I’m not your little bitch to push around, not anymore.”

📕 BOOK FOUR: MANIACS
Rating: 4.5 ⭐️
Theme: What a Conclusion!

Maniacs picks up exactly where Savages ends, and I would argue that it is the darkest installment in the series. The trigger warnings are no joke. Shayne is put through absolute hell, to the point that I wondered whether Sheridan Anne secretly hated her own FMC because this poor woman could not catch a fucking break. Still, Shayne continues to prove how courageous and resilient she is. Even when she cannot physically stop what is happening to her, she uses her words like weapons. Her taunts, sarcasm, and verbal barbs become another form of resistance. She refuses to allow anyone to completely take away her power.

“When I was twelve, I never had some big, hairy dude break into my home and say, ‘You’re a wizard, Harry,’ so unfortunately, I don’t come equipped with the ability to manifest training gear.”

In true Shayne fashion, she eventually takes matters into her own hands—and everything gets messy. The brothers finally step up when it matters most, although they also manage to step in shit more than once because that appears to be one of their many special talents. 😂 Dil and Do remain important members of the family and fully participate in the revenge tour. This was a fantastic conclusion to the main story. The author repeatedly had opportunities to choose the easy or convenient ending but didn’t take them. Those choices made the story stronger and gave the conclusion more emotional weight. This is the series that officially turned me into a Sheridan Anne fan, which is both wonderful and dangerous because now I have the rest of her catalog to binge.

📕 BOOK FIVE: BEASTS
Rating: 4 ⭐️
Theme: Yet Another Adventure

Okay, so this wasn’t exactly the peaceful extended HEA I expected, but I can’t deny that it was perfectly fitting for this family. It’s dark, frightening, a little haunting, and proof that chaos will always find the DeAngelis crew. Shayne Mariano DeAngelis Moretti and Roman, Levi, and Marcus remain a fierce unit who will protect what belongs to them at any cost. I loved that their relationship dynamic didn’t magically become normal simply because the main story had ended. Sebastian is absolutely adorable and exactly how I would imagine a five-year-old DeAngelis child. He may be their little Snowflake, but considering his family, I’m sure that innocence comes with at least a tiny hidden knife. 😂 I was literally cracking up when Marcus was fighting a Marine in hand-to-hand combat while Shayne casually stopped and offered the man a job—even though he was actively fighting against them on behalf of the Dragoni family. Then the man basically said, “Sure, I’ll take the job. Where do you want me?” LOL. Only in this fucking family. Dil and Do continue holding their rightful positions within the family. Their ability to be affectionate one moment and deadly the next perfectly reflects their owners.

This story is fast-burn, hot, dirty, violent, and chaotic. However, I would absolutely recommend reading books one through four first. Those books provide the relationship development, emotional attachment, world-building, and actual plot that make Beasts so much more enjoyable.

🖤 FINAL THOUGHTS 🖤

This series is an absolute roller coaster filled with psychopaths, betrayal, torture, revenge, filthy spice, family secrets, deadly wolves, fucked-up nursery rhymes, and some of the worst parents ever written.

The first book starts a little slowly, but the groundwork is necessary, and the overall payoff is 1000% worth it. Every installment becomes darker, bloodier, funnier, and more emotionally complicated. Despite all the brutality, this is ultimately the story of an accidental empress who refuses to remain broken.

Shayne doesn’t simply survive the DeAngelis world—she conquers it.

If you love morally black men, a viciously funny FMC, why-choose romance, touch-her-and-die energy, graphic revenge, outrageous banter, and enough chaos to make you question your own sanity, I absolutely recommend this series.

Just make sure you have the entire series ready before beginning because these cliffhangers are fucking criminal. ☠️🖕🏼😂

This series had me completely enthralled from beginning to end. I love books written by Sheridan Anne she has a way of pulling me into the story and having me on the edge of my seat. This is dark, so check TW. It's intense and heartbreaking with so many twists and turns. A dark, steamy, suspenseful, action-packed story with an HEA

OMG how much does someone have to go through. Shayne gets stronger after everything she keeps going through. More Dark, Twisted, Disturbing events. I love the part when Roman finds out the names Shayne named his wolves. Then the cliffhanger.

More revelations, takeovers, loyalties being questions, wars breaking out. Good thing the series is all on one.

Shayne gets stronger and training is more aggressive. Lies are revealed. Throughout this whole series you just don't know who to trust and who has your back. I do have to say I'm not sure how I'm feeling about Shayne one minute she is all strong then in some parts she's back to being a victim. Revenge, more crazy stuff, running, new addition,


Book 5:BEASTS

The conclusion. A rescue and addition. Loved the fighting the enemies soldier but also recruiting and interviewing him for a position on your team. This one is a little short story about a new mafia trying to make a name but soon finds out they messed with the wrong family.

I like how you don't just get the hot and heavy between these characters but there is the the fear everyone even their father of the three. All the things the father does to try to keep the boys somewhat behaved. Honestly how do characters survive most of the stuff they go through.

Oh my, I want to hurt Sheridan so much! Why do you do this to me?!?!? This book is beyond brutal. With amazing characters and a wicked storyline it’s a brilliant book. An amazing performance from both Kelsey and Blake.

With 3 brothers who have taken their toy to be played with this leading lady has to become stronger than ever thought possible. Her luck seems to of run out as the guys father now has her and has no intention of giving her back. A fantastic performance. I’m looking forward to the next book.

I can’t believe that one person can be such a sadist and leave me hanging like this book has. The next book better be out very very soon. A fantastic performance from both Kelsey and Blake. Fave mafia series so far!

Mafia isn't my favorite trope, but I really enjoyed this series! I loved that the plot and spice were well balanced and top notch! I was hooked within the first 3 chapters. Its very dark ("on page" torture, dismemberment, non-con" etc.) but it has plenty of snarky banter as well.

I loved the kick ass FMC but I think Dill & Doe might be my favorite characters.

Book 1: Psychos

This started out fun, with a very relatable, likable lead female and the book is all in her POV. It quickly escalates, but then is very slow-paced, but still intriguing … I ended up getting really into it, after the halfway mark, even though I didn’t find it plausible. (Some dark reads, you can understand where everyone’s coming from and start to believe it all … this one … I actually think will get there, it seems to be a slow build.)

There’s a bunch of ‘shock-value’ scenes, some violence, a bit of action and just when things really start to heat up, it ends on a wicked cliffhanger. Well played, author. And fun. Hoping to read on into the next installment.

Book 2: Heathens

After finishing book 1, I immediately had to get my hands on this installment.
This one picks up right where its predecessor left off … meaning the reader is instantly thrown into chaos, action, danger, death, actual torture and more. Before long though, it does become very slow-paced … but it also gains a sense of humor. (I might be twisted, judge me all you want but … I found some of the banter in this installment to be hilarious!)

^ On that note: “ … stockholm warrior…” 🤣🤣🤣

Moving on … it’s faster-paced than book 1 for the most part, though some of it was a bit slow. For much of it, I wasn’t sure if I’d read on into the series but it picked up and ended on a wicked cliffhanger, and I’m invested all over again. I hope to read book 3 in this series and I’d definitely explore other works from this author.

OBVIOUSLY, I had to start this book immediately upon finishing book 2, with that ending! And this one doesn’t disappoint, picking up pretty much right where that one left off. Well, 2 days have passed, but they’re on it.

This gets off to such a bloody, violent start and all I have to say about this is I loved it, experiencing it was almost cathartic. Also … I’m going to put this down lower juuuust in case you’re reading this before you’ve read the first 2-3 books in this series …

Other than that, this installment was PACKED with drama, action, danger and steam—a fun combination as the stakes are still perpetually escalating.

Book 4: Maniacs

Starts out right where book 3 ended—what a cliffhanger!
I don’t want to spoil anything so I’ll simply say … there’s lots of drama and back & forth and I felt at one point, ‘Does this author absolutely hate her female lead or what?’ because it seemed like she could never catch a break.

In true Shane fashion though, she takes matters into her own hands and things get … messy.

This was very well done, both on its own and as a conclusion to this absolute rollercoaster ride of a series. This is the series that officially made me a fan of Sheridan Anne and I’m grateful—because I’ve still got the whole rest of her catalog to binge.

I do recommend this read—but in order. Book 1 started a little bit slowly, but it was needed for the world overall and it was 1000% worth it. I could do without the daddy aspect, but it fits. One thing I noticed about this author is they never took the easy way out—many times they could’ve ended things right as they stood and chosen convenience. The fact they didn’t do this made for a better read and packs more integrity.

I had been assuming this is just a 4-book series, but the way this one was left, there could be more if the author felt so inclined. 👀

However, I do recommend reading books 1-4 in this series first if you like dark reads and actual plot—they were SO good.

Shayne: Just a girl with a shitty father, living in a shitty apartment, with a shitty job but she takes pride in doing it all by herself. She doesn't invite trouble, but it has somehow found her anyway. She's hefted into a whole new world she never dreamed of in her worst nightmares, but she thrives and rises from the ashes. She's mouthy, gritty, and gives as good as she gets.

Roman: The eldest DeAngelis brother who takes his responsibilities seriously. He's protective of himself and his brothers. His father killed the last girl he gifted to them, the one that Roman fell in love with and expecting a baby with. He's heartbroken and not easily charmed.

Marcus: The middle brother who takes psycho to a whole new level. He loves the rush of violence but he's the first to fall for Shayne. He's fiercely protective of her and willing to shed his darkness for her light. She sees him and that makes life worth living for him.

Levi: The youngest brother who is lost inside his head and uses his love of his drum set to keep his mind and hands occupied. He follows his brothers lead most of the time, for better or worse. He's a little on the softer side and finds comfort with Shayne.

One by one, the brothers come to her way of thinking. She is fully indoctrinated into their world and aids them in their quest to dethrone their father and take over the family. But Giovanni is a slippery one and he doesn't make it easy for them. He does some nasty stuff to all of them, but they won't give up. Even on the brink of death, Shayne and her men get up fighting. All of their best laid plans go to hell in a handbasket time and time again, but they won't stay down.

Shayne finds out her true parentage and lo and behold, she's the sole heir to a sworn enemy of the DeAngelis family. She's being set up to take out Giovanni DeAngelis by her new family, only to find out that she's being betrayed. She and her men fight both families to become heads of both and bring sworn enemies together for a united cause.

There's loads of violence and LOTs of good sex...I mean, with 3 hot brothers, how could there not? But the story line is just as intriguing as all that. Shayne grows into her own and brings the brothers to her side. Even after everything they put her through, she forgives and moves on. It's a love story full of blood and gore but they find true friendship as well. In the end, those that deserve to have their heads on a pike get their comeuppance and it's glorious!

I feel like this went on a little longer than necessary. By the 4th book, I was a little over it. Giovanni slipping through their hands time and time again was frustrating. But I suppose that being the head of a mafia family, he wouldn't make it easy on them. All in all, it was a great series. If you're into the mafia, reverse harem type of thrillers with plenty of violence, blood, and sex..this series should be on TBR.

DARK and So Good

I initially avoided this series because I didn't, and still don't, like the original covers. As sad as that may seem, it's the truth. The new cover for the series, which is significantly different from the individual books, opened me up to the possibility. And I'm SO happy that I gave it a shot!

This series is all kinds of messed up. It's check-your-triggers dark, wicked, steamy, haunting, and violent. Did that stop me from enjoying it? No, and that's all there is to it.

Reading in order is highly recommended.

The narrators are Kelsey Navarro and Blake Lockheart, with Kelsey carrying the bulk of the book as it's mostly from Shayne's POV and not in duet. She does a great job making sure all that attitude, strength, and desperation come hurdling across my earbuds. Blake is also good for those chapters that I get to hear him. 🎧❤️🎧

Story: 4-4.5 stars

I immediately love Shayne "Empress" Mariano. She has an attitude and sass for miles. It gets her in trouble several times, but it's also totally awesome! Even when her world turns to utter shit, her resilience still shines through.

Fuck homelessness and fuck turd-tastic landlords. They can shove a stick of dynamite up their bitch asses and play with a box of fireworks while hoping to God they don’t blow themselves up. We shall call it dynamite roulette and it will be the game of the century.

The DeAngelis brothers, Levi, Marcus, and Roman, are massive alphaholes that are barely likeable. There's a sliver of... something about each of them that appeals, but for the most part, they are giant, murderous asses.

Their interactions with their father are very telling. And the secrets that pop up are... well, I'll let you make your own determinations about those. And learning more about her father isn't any better.

Now, the sizzle bursting forth is sometimes unexpected and frequently in interesting places. It also comes in several combinations including FFM and MFM.

I nearly forgot to give my condolences for Tarzan. 🍆 He gave a good run but didn't complete his final performance. 😂

As for that cliffhanger... ☠️🖕😝 It's a good thing I have book 2.

There are a lot of triggers in the first book of this dark, steamy tetralogy. A few to consider: descriptive violence, substance abuse, multiple types of assault, and more. I'm guessing that reading in order is highly recommended.


Heathens 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Marks and Pain
Shayne Mariano is in a world of hurt. This starts exactly where book one ends, and it isn't pretty. Not even a little.

This is just as twisted, steamy, and tormenting as book one. The triggers are strong, so please check if you need to. The danger is at every turn.

As for the cliffhanger... ☠️🖕😝 It's a good thing I have the entire series, or I'd be ticked. Have I mentioned that I hate cliffhangers? I do. Does that stop me from reading the books? Apparently not. *sigh*

Savages 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Twisted Love
This starts with several dark scenes. Checking the triggers is definitely suggested, as there are more where that came from.

Shayne Mariano proves just how much of a badass she is, taking advantage of opportunity when it presents. She's seriously got ton of courage, standing up to pretty much everyone. Even when her back is to the wall.

This picks up exactly where 'Savages' left off. This is dark, very dark. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that this is the darkest installment of the tetralogy. Checking the triggers is definitely suggested, as there are plenty that are covered, including ☠️🩸SA.

Shayne Mariano continues to prove how courageous and strong she is. When she's graped, the taunting and back talk makes her my hero. She may not be able to physically stop it, but the verbal barbs are priceless. There are several other examples, but this is possibly the best example of her wit and strength.

Giovanni did mention that he wanted me to become his wife. The thought alone makes me sick, but it’s also a way to get close to him.

Beasts 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Yet Another Adventure
OK, so this wasn't exactly the extended HEA that I was expecting, but I can't deny that it was perfectly fitting. It's dark and scary and perhaps a wee bit haunting (we'll see how my dreams go).

Shayne Mariano DeAngelis Moretti and the DeAngelis brothers, Levi, Marcus, and Roman, are still a fierce unit, ready to protect and defend what's theirs. I like that some things never change between them.

I love that Dil and Do continue to hold their roles in the family. Their ability to be loving one moment and lethal the next is a reflection of their owners.

There is one thing that bothers me a bit. What happened in that final scene in book four? How did that resolve? I kinda want the whole bow, not just one loop.

This could be read as a standalone, but I'd personally recommend reading in order.

I absolutely love Sheridan's books! She had me hooked from the first book. I couldn't wait to see how everything was going to play out. I loved the chemistry between Shayne, Roman, Marcus, and Levi it was off the charts! They had a messy relationship, but you couldn't help but root for them.

Kelsey and Blake did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this series if you're looking for a dark romance, captive romance, mafia romance, why choose romance, or romantic suspense.

Depraved Sinners Complete Set includes four full length novels: Psychos, Heathens, Savages, Maniacs and novella Beasts. It’s a dark romance. I’ve been a fan of Sheridan Anne and this series was just as good as her other work. You get all the dark and gritty with non-stop action and plenty of spice. I enjoyed every character in this book. Roman, Marcus, Levi and Shayne each had their own unique personality and intensity that brought depth to the story.

Hands down Kelsey Navarro did a phenomenal job narrating this book and bringing these characters to life. Blake Lockheart also did a great job narrating. I enjoyed listening to him.

Deliciously unhinged!

I was so enraptured by this series. Each book kept pushing my heart into overdrive and my brain into mush. Yes, mind the trigger warnings if you have triggers. If not, grab a drink and your favorite sitting space and prepare to be swept up so completely you won’t want to move. I purchased the audiobook and flipped between listening while following along and reading. The narrators did a spectacular job and heightened the intensity to a new level. I’m hooked. This series was so good!

I started with the Kindle and found the Audio version. I couldn't stop listening to this series. Depraved Sinners is 4 books plus one novella all in one, totaling about 1600 pages (about 51 hours in audio).

There were so many, "what now?!" moments! So much spice, suspense, kidnapping, murder, and so much more! I loved how she continued to surprise herself and I love Marcus. But there were some moments that I was like "WTF WOMEN!"

This spice level to top notch.

I downloaded this it realising it was the whole series. I read the whole lot over 3 days and it was worth it! Worth staying up late till my eyes burned just to see what would happen next. The spice was just right, the story had action and was well paced. I highly recommend the series for anyone looking to immerse themselves in a dark and dangerous world of psychotic men who love their woman.
