"Bumping Uglies" is the story of Hortense and Kiril.

This was awesome. This is the hilariously sexy take on Cinderella's "ugly" stepsisters, or in this case snooty and curvaceous stepsister. Here she is, all BBW and cranky, giving handjobs to our hero, a sex starved incubus aka prince of hell who slowly bids his mistress, who has been thwarted by the world. He hides himself as her servant, but soon and very cleverly seduces the dimples out of her very bodacious ass. The magic and witchcraft stuff was a bit weird, but I do enjoy a yearning, puppy dog hero.
The sex was SO HOT! Loved it!

The most complete short story I've read in ages...
The most complete short story I've read in ages and that with a one person pov..... This s was kinda fun and refreshing.....
Normally I don't enjoy a one pov story,all two often you walk feeling like you've miss at least part if not 1/2 the story,but Kiril here has the wit,personality and stamina to pull it off.... I loved her personality and felt his wit and charm and mischievousness,nice balanced out Hortense's need to have him seem to be simpering nag at her feet.... I do wish we could have gotten a good description of Kiril though ,I mean he's supposed be a "Prince of Hell" and a demon but other than being well built and well muscled and possibly having long hair and tan skin we now nothing .....I mean being a demon tells us next to nothing per say as far as looks go,I've read stories where all demons ( usually their the bad/evil guys ) hideous and disgusting something nightmares are made of then other books where they can be gloriously beautiful creatures ,whether more "Hellish" per say w/red skin,tail and horns and yellow/gold eyes w/a hint of flames at times and still soo beautiful the h can't look away from them.... Th n there are demons who almost look human in appearance but always very pleasing to the eye,now Kitil definitely sounds like the more human looking demon but I'd have loved a good description all the same .... And if he had been mine,quite possibly that tail as well ;) ( giggles and grinz) let's say the demon I referenced w/the red skin and horns etc. had a wonderful lightly pointed tail ,which the H knew how to use is very wicked and wonderful ways on his h

1. It's obvious that this is a reallllly old story and that Ms. Alice Coldbreath is a much better writer now. Everyone starts somewhere, right? This is still better than most of the drabble I've written (in general) and read (in the early days of wattpad).
2. I'm not really a "mistress" type person. Submissive men aren't it for me at all. This just proved that to me. I used to think that it's not a strict preference but yeah,,,,,,alpha men all the way.
Also, this was more of a small erotica type story. Not really something to write home about and so yeaH. Nothing crazy amazing here.

Omg this short story is sooo sweet! Like diabetes inducing sweet. I found myself grinning like a maniac through the whole thing. It also helps that it hits on lots of tropes I'm weak for - warped fairytales, villainous hero and heroine, obsessive dedicated hero who simps like crazy and is a slave to the heroine...
So basically, it's one of those fairytale with a twist, based on Cinderella. This story follows Hortense, one of the evil stepsisters of Cinderella. Instead of being outright ugly, she's more of a dark, quirky curvy goth girl, and what's "ugly" about her is her defensive haughtiness and arrogance. After the bad press she received during the events of Cinderella, she throws herself into studying the occult and witchcraft. She summoned and "made a contract" with an incubus, Kiril, to be her familiar. Little does she know that Kiril is a manipulative bastard that lied to her and isn't an incubus at all - he's actually one of the demon princes of hell! He's also been lying and manipulating her into give him sexual relief by pretending he's an incubus and needs it to "replenish his magical powers" 🤣. Luckily, that's the excuse Hortense needs to justify doing stuff with him, because she is the BIGGEST TSUNDERE EVER and is too proud to admit she likes doing the dirty stuff with him. Kiril on the other hand is a huge M, and loves Hortense's mean arrogance, and loves playing her doting slave. I swear, this couple was too cute, and the sex scenes were really HOT.
There were a few scenes a bit over the top and silly (like what was up with Hortense getting naked on piles of gold in her treasure room - like WAT. That's a whole other level of money loving LMAO. At least Kiril got turned on by her, so uhhh good for them? 😂). But then again, the entire story was really over the top silly and sweet. Kiril literally goes comatose and almost dies from starvation after being separated from Hortense. It's like Jessa Kane levels of silliness. I loved it though!
Some safety notes:
* Heroine is a shy virgin
* Hero, being a demon prince from hell, was definitely NOT a virgin, has a bad track record of lying to women about loving them and tricking them, but only falls in love with the heroine
*OW drama: Not much, the heroine worries that the hero will try to get his rocks off with her sister Cinderella (because she thinks he's an incubus), but the hero is completely devoted to the heroine. After they get separated briefly, the hero's brothers tried to get him to get over the heroine by bringing his ex favorite bed buddy to him, but the hero was complete comatose and didn't respond 😂

Hortense is Kiril’s mistress, sort of. She summoned him and tried to entrap him with her magic, so he pretended to be ‘trapped.’ The truth is that he’s a prince of hell and can easily overpower her. He sticks around because he convinced Hortense that he’s a succubus who needs her... feminine attention... to work his magic. And he’s in love.
I liked the idea of this. Wasn’t expecting the demon/magic route, but I thought it was interesting. It was from Kiril’s perspective, too. However, the novella is incredibly short and I wish it was longer just to build more substance. Everything, from the intro to the ending, is a bit abrupt. Also, there were a number of small editing errors. I wonder if this was on Wattpad or something? It reads like that.
The erotica was fun and somewhat steamy. I would keep it on my shelf I guess, but I would’ve been more into it had it been longer. My rating is a 3.5 but I’m rounding up for the unique idea.

I LOVED THIS SO MUCH. And I'll be honest, there were little parts of the story that I wasn't in love with, but overall I found it so endearing. And I'm rounding up bc its such a weirdly unique little story that I'll never forget.
Every once in a while I'll be walking and start laughing to myself when I remember little details about this story.
It was UTTERLY endearing. Also I generally do not like short stories or novellas. But, overall, I really enjoyed this. Loved, loved, loved.
We all have personal preferences and this is just a weird, lovable little story that hit me straight in the id.
P.S. I'll be honest. As I grow and read more romance I really appreciate stories with lower emotional, tropey angst with cheating and the like. I just don't like it and don't prefer to read about it. I want conflict that is believable without the kind of turmoil and angst that ends up making you hate one or both of the love interests. Alice Coldbreath is SOOOO good at writing stories with like this. It just hits SOOOO GOOD. ALICE COLDBREATH- THANK YOU FOR PROVIDING ME WITH HOURS OF FUN.

Alice did it again! Just the right amount of rough and sweetness in the hero, and the heroine was a delight as well. A quick read but lots of sexy times though there is a plot as well. Loved it thoroughly!

So, full disclosure, I read this little story a couple of times. I don't know why, but it puts me in a good mood. It's not deep and it's meant to be more funny than romantic (and it also has lots of smexy times). If you're in the mood for a light read give it a try.

Hilarious take on the ugly stepsister/Cinderella trope. Could not ask for better dialogue. I laughed out loud. I love all the side characters too. I would love reading about all of them more! Great fun and sooo spicy!

This was silly and fine, but maybe a little too meaningless for me to enjoy? I never felt like the FMC actually liked the MMC either… Not into ‘slave’ stuff, and they way she treated him was… not my vibe. I enjoyed aspects of her dominating him, but wanted more overall respect, etc.

Super short story.. I can see a little of Coldbreath there in the writing but this was obviously a super early work of hers.
Also with romance short stories are tough to write so have to keep that into account.
