The book is a decent suspense novel. Once the plot gets moving, the pacing is great, and the story is enjoyable. The problem is that it is supposed to be a Christian novel, and the book fails in that regard. There is nothing Christian besides a few interactions between characters, which are strained at best, or the fact that the main characters pray and don't drink alcohol. If you removed the Christian elements, the plot wouldn't change, and the characters might improve. Not a bad book, but nothing great either.
Pretty good. The story was pretty original, as I have not seen a fiction story spun completely off of a major historical event like this. The basic storyline is new to me. But the plot is pretty predictable. I read a lot of mystery/suspense books, and this was not a bad one. A little different, but also very few surprises. I am babbling some, and I apologize for that. A new take on Japanese organized crime, and on the atomic bombs from WWII. I liked it, but it wasn't a great one. I would recommend it to a friend.
