About the author

J.C. MOORE is the author of the bestselling thriller Secrets from a Serial Killer, the Shadow Bay small-town thriller series, the Frank Mallory PI noir series, and standalone novels including The Ex She Feared. His stories dig into the darker corners of human nature, where small-town secrets surface and ordinary people get pushed past their limits.

Moore is a fiercely independent author. He publishes through Missing Star Books, writes the stories he wants to tell, and answers to his readers first.

Before turning to fiction, he spent years as a touring musician and songwriter, with credits across television and film. He started writing novels during the pandemic, beginning in horror before moving into character-driven suspense. Songwriting taught him to keep it tight and land the ending. His books do both.

He lives in Upstate New York with his fiancée and their dog. He is a member of Mystery Writers of America, International Thriller Writers, and the Alliance of Independent Authors.

As always very entertaining, fun and easy to read. You never disappoint Mr. Moore! My favorite stories were "Death Masks", and "They Called Him The Boogeyman ".

Highly recommend his books for fans of middle grade and young adult genres (for mystery and horror).
