He comes back home and finds a pregnant stranger living in his apartment.
There’s no room for love left in Max’s heart. A cynical sailor, hardened by loneliness and pain, he dreams of just one thing — to come home, shut the door, and forget the world exists. But instead, he finds a pregnant stranger in his apartment and all his plans go up in smoke. Because somehow, everyone around him is convinced… she’s his fiancée. A mistake? A coincidence? Or a carefully planned scam? Either way, he’s going to throw her out. No questions asked.
Erin still believes in love. Every day she arranges bouquets for proposals, weddings, and declarations of love — hoping that one day, someone will bring one to her. She was sure she’d found the one and moved into what she thought was her fiancés apartment. One mistake. One wrong address. And her entire life turns upside down.
He didn’t think he could take care of anyone. She had no intention of letting another man into her world. But now they’re stuck under the same roof. Because sometimes, the best things in life begin with the most unexpected mistakes.
One Little Mistakeis a heartwarming accidental pregnancy romance featuring a grumpy, emotionally closed-off sailor and a hopelessly romantic florist who suddenly find themselves living under one roof. If you love slow-burn tension, mistaken identity, and a tough hero learning to care, this story is for you. Perfect for fans of accidental family tropes, sweet-but-steamy love stories, enemies to lovers and heroines who fight for their future.
Eh. I think it started out like, oooh I want to know what happens, but there are things said but never resolved. And unrealistic issues with the plot. While the writing itself wasn’t too bad, it definitely needs editing. One second he’s driving and the next he’s lifting his head off the pillow because there’s a knock at the door. When did he get home? Also why call him Max and Taylor in the same sentence?? So many things didn’t flow and got confusing. I finished it because I don’t DNF books, but was annoyed at the ending too.
This book was good, and I really wanted to rate it higher but the constant flipping between the MMC being Max then Tayler was jarring, especially as them supposed to have the same name as her ex being the premise to the apt confusion. Even the babies name was listed as Timur in one spot instead of Tim. Definitely needs major editing intervention. I’d rate 2.5 if I could.
The storyline was fine, for a palette cleanser. There were just too much inconsistencies with the names and it irked me (probably more of a ‘me’ issue)
This book's first couple of chapters really grabbed my attention.
It includes some of my favorite tropes: accidental pregnancy (not his baby), forced proximity, and fakeish dating.
But also one of my least favorite: miscommunication, mistaken identity, 3rd act breakup. The plot devices used for the FMC and MMC to meet and interact is absolutely bonkers, confusing, and seems nonsensical.
But somehow I couldn't put it down.
This book has a crazy plot, especially for contemporary romance. There is a lot of miscommunication, tone shifts, and implications that honestly are not even addressed. Somehow, it was somewhat of an enjoyable read. There is a lot of humor and witty banter between the FMC and MMC. Any book I can't put down gets an automatic 3 stars because I truly wanted to see the answers to my many questions.
So many things are not adressed appriopately
FMC has a major health condition that isnt even named MMC is kidnapped by pirates and its like, yeah ok

I’ll be honest: I’m not usually a big fan of contemporary romance. I often find them a bit slow or predictable, but One Little Mistake completely changed my mind. This book was a refreshing, fast-paced, and incredibly engaging read that I couldn’t put down. What I Loved: • The Pace: It’s a very quick read. Arisha Yang’s writing style is smooth and keeps the story moving, making it perfect for a weekend afternoon or a flight. • The Relatability: Even if you aren't "team contemporary," the characters are written with such genuine emotion that it’s hard not to get invested in their journey. • The "Mistake": The central premise is handled so well—it’s heartfelt, messy, and ultimately very rewarding. Final Verdict: Even if contemporary romance isn't your "usual" genre, give this one a chance. It’s charming, sweet, and packs a lot of punch for a shorter read. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves a good love story!
Erin, Max & Tim— a cute family who had many things going on..
This was a nice read, got me out of my book slump 😂😭 first book to actually start and finish in a while. I just felt a lot was going on throughout the whole Book. Didn't see as much bonding between Tim, Erin and Max.. this was a 1st person pov but felt more like 3rd person at times.. they say its has pregnancy trope — which it didn't we didn't read much about that experience at all.. neither did we see much of Tim (the baby) except when needed for situations..
I would say this is a book that some would love, others would not like, and some would dnf.. this book isn't for everyone..
Some of the tropes are:
♠︎ Mistaken identity ♥︎ Found Family ♠︎ Grumpy×Sunshine ♥︎ Single Mom ♠︎ Sailor×Florist ♥︎ Hurt×Comfort ^that's all that comes to mind ♡
The story concept itself was cute and I enjoyed it in general. That said, there were a lot of continuity errors and the child father is Maximilian at one point, Maxwell at another. Timelines also seemed off at points There are other spots where names and who the person is are unclear and then there are significant events that are just glossed over, like, this happened. I gave 3 stars because the idea is cute and I enjoyed it in a general sense. It definitely needs editing and there are events that I think deserved more attention.
New Author for me. Plot was different too which I enjoyed. Erin was strong and loved how supportive Max was, and when he worked out what he wanted he stubborn, in the best way! Maxwell well he was just an A^&! And it's what he did is something that happens unfortunately, port calls etc. Would have enjoyed reading more. Dual Pov, slow burn, OW drama , sweet HEA
I like Erin. Max’s growth through this is really amazing. I would have liked to see Erin grow a little too. It seems she was all in every time, no matter what, and I am a little eh about that but it was a cute book. She did seem to forget her kid sometimes. Like the baby was an afterthought.
They ramp up to sex and then just glide over details so there is no real spice here, so if you’re looking for spicy,🌶️ sorry.
Loved its really great captivating and easy reading Erin the independent vulnerable woman who is trustful and naive easily fooled. Max the caring handsome devoted man everyone's dream came home one day to find it occupied by a mystery girl whose everyone claims as his fiance who is pregnant with his baby. Really was a great journey that I didn't want to end finished in one sitting
