Bobby and Darke return in the sequel of FOREVER AND ALWAYS. Set 5 years later after they are married, now living their romantic lives as husbands.
Bobby is assigned a new client to pull off and plan a wedding for a lesbian couple, while Darke is leading a murder investigation at Norton PD. Both men long for each other while at work. They love each other, mad. But can they focus on their tasks, or will they get distracted that will cause one of them to be harmed?
A short, and sweet M/M Romance that continues the love story of Bobby and Darke.
R.B. HANNA writes sweet and spicy M/M Romances. He has published FOREVER AND ALWAYS, FOREVER YOURS, and BLOOD LOVE (#1 New Release on Amazon!). While not writing his books, he reads other M/M stories and other romance books.
OMG!!!! I honestly think this is my favorite by far. I just love the relationship that darke and bobby have. I was given the opportunity to read this wonderful book as an ARC. Rb hanna was my introduction into MM romance genre and I am happy it was because it got me out of my comfort zone. Rb hanna keep it coming. cant wait to see where darke and bobby go next.
omg!! loved this book so much. I'll add that this Novella was so beautiful brought me back to the love Booby & Drake have for each other. Little Prince & Beaste R.B.Hanna congrats cant wait to read more of what's to come.
always be yours,” I whispered back, smiling up at him. “Forever yours.”
R.B Hanna lovely continuation of MM Romance couple Drake & Bobby. Set 5 years later after Forever & Always (book 1) The connection between these two is amazing seeing how much growth they have both done from book 1. There love is stronger and always their for each other when the other needs a little extra care. I was left wanting more and hoping for more in the future.
Now this is a shorter novella compared to the first which is perfectly acceptable I just wanted a bit more indepth story. Especially more details about Drake's case and that suspense leading up to the shocking twist.
All tell but no show. Felt no connection to the characters at all. Present and past tense used interchangeably throughout the book. Voices of the characters were indistinguishable. Needs much more editing as this reads more like a first draft vs finished copy.
*** I received this book as an eARC in exchange for an honest review. My opinions are mine and mine alone. ***
First off, I want to thank R. B. Hanna for offering me another chance to read his work. As a fan of his first book, Forever and Always, I was more than excited to read Bobby and Darke‘s next chapter in their lives.
While I did enjoy reading this book, I can’t say I loved it like I did the first one. I think Hanna is a great storyteller and I will continue to read his future work, but this one just didn’t hit the mark with me.
I will say, while I still love Bobby and Darke as a couple (I mean who wouldn’t dream of having their married life?), the story moved more with them than they moved the story, unlike the first time around. Forever Yours was a tad shorter than Forever and Always, which is fine. As much as I enjoyed losing less than a day in this, I wasn’t left as satisfied with this one as I was with the first book. Too many things were happening all at once (Bobby planning a lesbian couple’s wedding while lamenting his strained relationship with his family and Darke trying to solve a murder all while trying so hard to impress his strict boss). All of these ideas were great, but this is a seventy-five paged novella. In turn, it all felt very rushed to me. There was a lot to be told but not enough time was given to tell them. The third act was when things story wise started to get good, but it took ten pages to resolve it, and I was left feeling unsatisfied again.
I very much loved the love scenes between Bobby and Darke, that’s really my favorite parts of their story. But I do wish there was a bit more of that. Hanna had a very good idea for a follow up to his wonderful couple’s story, but I feel like it would’ve been better if he took his time when writing it. The potential was there, it just needed a few more rounds of editing to help it live up to that!
All in all, I want to thank R. B. Hanna again for the opportunity to read his upcoming release. If you enjoy quick MM romance with flawed and relatable characters, I would definitely recommend giving this series a go.
