I love the Gansett books and was excited for this one. I love Sierra and Morgan and it was more about them than the quads. Definitely an all cast book and the end list of future events made it seem like this is the end sadly but we will see what those kids get up to.

"The days are long, but the years are short"
Those wise words work for both grief and raising kids and this book has an abundance of both, the island is still reeling from the loss of two of their own and we lose another long standing resident in this book, it's heartbreaking, but also a relief as their suffering finally ends.
To add to the fun and craziness we get a huge number of births.....so many babies! Add in some new residents that shake up lives when they find not only a new home, but love and we are taken on a rollercoaster of emotions: joy, heartbreak, laughter, tears, celebrations, hope and a fear that borders on terror. But all of them are lived through as a community, a huge, interfering, yet loving family that are there for everything, the good, the bad and all the messy stuff in-between. And this is why I love every visit to Gansett Island, it's like returning to family every time.
Whilst I am a little bit sad that this is the final book for this generation, I look forward to the time we can return for the next generation of madness, mayhem and love.

great catch up with all the old familiar characters while progressing the story line for some newer inhabitants of Gansett. I waited to read with my sister over the holidays since we've read the other 25 together.

I read this to complete the series. I’m officially done, it’s basically the EXACT same as all the other books and just kinda OLD hat at this point. I like seeing new characters added and the town grow but there’s nothing really moving this story forward.

If I could give a 3.5, I would. The book wasn't really about the quads arrival and/or the subsequent settling in with their parents and the rest of the McCarthy c lan. Nor was there a minor story line about Jamie's graduation, which was why it was such a big disappointment. It was advertised this way....so it was misleading...even the cover of the book. Ms. Force you kinda owe your fans a another book-2.0 about this story line. I'm a big fan, ever since the introduction of Maddie and Mac and have all 28 books of Gansett. I think you could have done a lot better with this book.

I think there's just too many characters in this series now, it's extremely confusing to try to remember who's who in zoo. I enjoy the original characters antics but it's just too much with the cast of thousands now. I also found it repetitive in her use of certain words over and over. I would find it interesting to know how many times 5 babies was mentioned.

Another outstanding addition to the Gansett Island Series. Gansett Island is the magical place where families and kindness are created and abundant. It’s a place you can disappear into for a happily ever after.
Now to the writing. Marie Force addresses issues that create emotional turmoil and is able to make the reader feel like you are part of the story. This book is no different - I laughed, I cried, I was happy, I was sad, I felt empathy for characters and what they were going through. She weaves a story that you never want to end, hence why Delivery After Dark is the 28th book in the series but not the last.
The dialogue is consistently witty, keeps you smiling even when not laughing out loud. Great character development you feel like you know the characters and can decide who’d you want as friends and why!
Love how she develops relationships, exploring the feelings & insecurities along the way. She’s also great at creating drama, focusing on the importance of open communication, all applicable to real world. Lots of lessons for life!
So many babies were born, with some drama but not as much drama as some earlier births! Lots of story lines wrapped up, with more set up for the future.
Another thing that I liked about this book was that many of the various couples living on the island were addressed which is so hard to do with the great number of characters from 28 books.

This is a series where you truly fall in love with everyone. No matter how many books, new characters, or years pass, every return to Gansett Island feels like coming home—and I find myself enamored with them all over again.
The title is perfectly fitting—babies seem to be arriving left and right, both in the present story and the near future! Yet, amidst all the new life, the familiar blend of humor, romance, and heart that defines this series remains strong.
I loved the playful teasing among the brothers and cousins, and how they continue to welcome newcomers with open arms. The story brought plenty of laughter, but also a few tears as a beloved character who touched many hearts passed away. Between the emotional goodbyes, joyful adoptions, and milestone graduations, this book truly ran the full spectrum of emotion.
Marie Force continues to deliver unmatched character depth and connection—there’s simply no other series quite like this one. Highly recommend!

This book is filled with an abundance of themes centered around parenthood and family. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The narrative provided a strong sense of closure, although I do wish Kendall James had more resolution in her storyline. Perhaps we will see her journey completed in future installments.
The book offers a blend of joyful, profound, and melancholic moments, contributing to a rich emotional experience. I sensed that the series may be approaching its conclusion, with the possibility of exploring the next generation of Gansett. Another return to Gansett Island … and it seems to be kind of the last one.
Abby and Adam are anxiously awaiting the birth of their quadruplets and can’t believe their luck while being shocked at the same time. And there are many more kids being delivered and announced.
Jane finally graduates from medical school.
At the same time everyone is still dealing with the aftermath of hurricane Ethel. Morgan lost his brother Billy and now has to face the decision to stay on Gansett or return to the mainland. Meeting and falling for Sierra might help him making this decision.
All in all I enjoyed the book and love the characters. At the same time I feel there is not a lot more to tell and wasn’t surprised that this would be the last book of the series. I am still happy that a return to Gansett is still in the cards

September 22, 2025I purchased the book from Marie Force's website as I couldn't wait for the general release date. I am so glad I did it was like having a big family party where we all come together. It was fantastic to catch up with Mac and Maddie and their children. I will always love those two the most as it was their book that got me started on this amazing journey. It was great to see the next generation enter the world and wonder what Marie Force has in store for them. I did have a few tears reading the parts with Jared and his daughter it broke my heart to see all the stress they were put through.It all ends well .Thank you for another amazing book .

All I can say is… wonderfully amazing
I’ve been a fan of Marie Force for more years/books than I can count! Delivery After Dark did not disappoint, but rather melted my heart. Taken through all the emotional roller coasters in this book, I absolutely loved the glimpses of the many couples that have made Gansett Island their home. Revisiting this extra special island and its close knit community of family and friends made for a reading experience I couldn’t read fast enough, yet didn’t want to end.
Overall, this is probably up there with one of my all time favorite reads and will probably revisit a time or two.

I remember when I started this magnificent series when I was recuperating from hip replacement surgery, and I fell in love with Maddie and Mac. Now it seems we are at the end of this part of Gansett Island. Beautifully written and everyone from the start to this final story involved. The Sierra and Morgan story was fantastic. Marie tied everything together wonderfully for me. The right people who love you can change your prospective about what is important in your life. I will always love Gansett Island and cannot thank Marie Force enough for all the enjoyment, love, romance, heartbreak, and happily ever afters! I definitely check in on the Island and will continue to do so.

This series is one of my favourites!! So much happens in this story and we get the updates on everyone we need, lots of births and so much to sink your teeth into. I loved the most the reminiscing that happens especially between Mac & Maddie of how this series all begun. You know a good series when you always want to go back to enjoy the coming together of couples again and again. Don't want to give an spoilers about what happens or whats coming next but rest assured Marie has big plans and i can't wait for more.

I listened to this one and it was wonderfully sweet and emotional and just a great way to wrap up one of my absolute favorite series of all time! Marie Force never disappoints! The narration was amazing as always and the story was perfect! So much goodness and love all the way around with closure on so many couples during the epilogue! I was left smiling with a happy heart!
I look forward to her hopefully jumping into the future in a couple of years with all of these babies grown up and having their own adventures and love stories.

I've loved this series from the start. WOW 28 books of amazing love stories, family, heartbreak just all the feels.
Delivery after Dark WOW so many babies LOL. This read was a mix of a bunch of the couples Abby and Adam (quads parents) Jace & Lizzie, Max and Maddie, just to name a few. But if I'm being perfectly honest I totally loved the parts with Sierra and Morgan. I mean who wouldn't. When it switched to another couple I couldn't wait for Morgan and Sierra to pop back on the pages.
Enjoyed every single page.

This was an entertaining romantic story that ticked all the boxes for me. From the first chapter I was hooked on the story that was told. The characters were easy to relate to and I really liked them. The chemistry between them was intense and I found myself laughing out loud on a number of occasions with the witty banter and humour. The secondary characters were just as entertaining. This book is a little gem that I have no trouble recommending.

A series fifteen years in the making. Gannett Island is about to go on a hiatus, but the rereads will continue to keep us connected while we wait for the next thrilling chapter of the story. This book held my interest from beginning to end. I was already invested in the entire series, so I was not expecting the end. I know we have to progress, so it will be interesting to see the kids takeover. I'm betting on Thomas to be the ring leader. Anyway I enjoyed this book and cried when Ms Marion passed away (very sad). I love the McCarthy family and all they bring to the table. Cannot wait until the next read.

So nice to catch up with all the characters on the island. And I do mean characters. Love every single person here and the struggles they all face. The humor and real-life stories are what drew me and it just continues. Cannot wait to read more. Marie is a master as building characters that you know and adore, along with realistic stories. I do believe I've ready all she has written to date.

Another wonderful story in this fabulous series. I loved the way Marie Force writes her characters and the sense of family she instills in all her characters. I adore the way Island life is portrayed and the shenanigans that happen. This series held my interest from the first book to this one. I especially loved catching a glimpse of the future for all our couples. I’ll be sad to break from these guys but I look forward to the future generation in due course. This is final book in the Gansett Island Series and it is a veritable who who of anyone and everyone who has appeared in previous books. While it is wonderful to catch up on the people of the island, I often found it overwhelming with all the names and relationships that are revealed within these pages. Storylines are glossed over and parts seem rushed to allow for everything to be wrapped up before you close the book.

Never ceases to amaze me how Marie can make you feel like you're on Gansett and seeing all of these people fall in love and have babies and watch their daily lives. So glad Sierra found true love but I want to read about her and Morgan's wedding. Marie never fails to make me shed more than a few tears because that's just how good she is at drawing you into the story and making you feel the feelings

Wow, the McCarthy family has exploded with all the new babies. Definitely will need to upgrade the Island’s power infrastructure and a new expansion of the elementary school. With the culmination of this story, Ms Force has lots of characters to write about as the next generation of Gansett Island’s population. Looking forward to reading about these new babies development

So Many Love Stories
Love and babies are always in the air when on Gansett Island. It was nice to catch up on all of the latest island drama which mostly consisted of new faces and new life. Getting to know Morgan and Sierra better was nice after her entanglement with Duke and his new relationship. Seeing people move on and blossom after tragedy is always a good read. I’ll miss Gansett until the future comes !

oh my - so many babies. This story was so sweet. There were some heartbreaking moments, some tense moments and some very romantic moments. And then there were the babies. I've missed a couple books in this series, but I knew most of the characters. It was nice to see what they were up to and how their families were growing. It was a wonderful and heartfelt book.

I was all in for the quad delivery but oh my gosh, I did not know that I would experience life full circle. Beginnings, endings, marriages, goodbyes, hellos, first loves, welcome homes, graduation, and as always family and friends love. I am happily full and exhausted. Thank you Marie Force!

Excellent Read
Wow is all I can say, I purposely waited until.the weekend to read it so I wouldn't have interruptions - was excited to get updates on everyone and talk about a baby boom. Was I a little sad reading the ending yep, but I'm excited to see where this is going with all the kids.
