This book offers a valuable moral lesson through its emotionally charged stories. It is a very entertaining story. I think I understand the problem with the book. We don't get proper closures to all these characters. One after the other, they go. They just vanish abruptly. It feels less like a novel and more like a collection of short stories concerning some characters sharing the same universe. It's Buddhisagar's first book. After reading the postscript available on his 10th anniversary edition, I have high hopes for his next books. I want to follow his work now.
After finishing the book, I am wondering about the English translation. How did the translator work around the local language nuances? I want to study these techniques soon. Maybe I will compare the feeling I get while reading both editions in my next review.
