A Siren's Curse

Rate this book
We were enemies before we even took our first breath.

But fate had other plans. For as long as I can remember, the sirens of the sea and sky have been at war. We grew up hearing of their cruelty through songs whispered through bedtime tales.

Never did I imagine my path would entwine with one of them and not just any, but one of the most dangerous of their kind.
I know it’s wrong. I know it’s dangerous, but the pull between us is undeniable. I’m unable to ignore the way he looks at me, the way his golden eyes glimmer with carnal desire.

But he doesn't know that I am the enemy that he is here to destroy. And when the truth is revealed, I don’t know if we will be able to weather the storm or if it will tear us apart forever.

The Shifterverse is an interconnected series of standalones.

I absolutely enjoyed the entire booked so much I could not put it down! I did not know exactly what to expect with it being about sirens but Moonlight Muse did not disappoint! The way she describes each character allows the reader to fully image just how beautiful they really are. Highly recommend this book and anything else Muse writes.

Firstly, Moonlight Muse is one of my absolute auto buy authors, anything she writes, I am reading. And she definitely did not disappoint with this book. It is a short read (I finished it in about two days), and I fell completely in love with the characters and the world she created.

Sira is a strong female lead who is not afraid to express herself, her needs, and her desires (if you know what I mean lol). She is fierce, loyal, and powerful. Kai, on the other hand, has that tough exterior, the protective alpha energy, and yet a soft spot reserved only for his love. The way their relationship grows and deepens is honestly beautiful.

One of my favourite things about this story is how it explores the idea that our biases or prejudices about certain people or groups are not always accurate. Sometimes it just takes one person to show us the error in our thinking, and it takes humility and maturity to admit when our views were wrong or incomplete. This theme was handled so well.

There are definitely some steamy moments, and the overall story is just gorgeous. It is a standalone set in the Shifterverse, with another author writing the second part, which is coming out in 2026. I have not heard of the other author before, but based on how invested I am after reading this book, I will definitely be picking up the next one (which focuses on Kai’s brother).

Honestly, Muse has sucked me into this world, and I am sad the book ended. Another Muse banger, for sure. You will not regret reading it, though you might regret how fast you devour it! LOL

OVERALL RATING : 5 ⭐️
SPICE RATING : 3 🌶

If a book grabs me in the first 5-10 chapters, then I know it is a book worth reading. A Siren’s Curse captured my attention in the first 5. I felt every kind of emotion reading this.

The story was beautifully composed, Muse has one of the best ability, as an author, to write books that you will read many times over.
This book is going to be one of those.

Considering this is a part of a collaboration of a number of talent indie authors, it was a brilliant choice for Muse.

The main male character, Keiran ‘Kai’ Kaldor, is an arrogant Sky Siren. He is a warrior and commander, sent on a mission.

The female lead, Siralaine Stormborn, runaway Princess and Sea Siren. Accused of crimes, she did not commit, flees persecution.

These two cross paths and the rest is an adventure of betrayal, redemption, discovery and love. No.. I don’t kiss and tell so if you want to know how it ends, go and read it for yourself.

As usual you will find spice but it isn’t overly done, just the right amount. I gave 3 chilli’s because for me, the story and character development was far more important.

Overall I loved it. May have found a new book boyfriend.

Would I recommend? Gladly, it is a brilliant book. Worth waiting for. If there was anything I found disappointing, it was that it wasn’t long enough.

I loved it! It was a fast paced romance story filled with tropes like, action, secrets, fated mates, touche her an perish, enemies to lovers and curses

Though I sometimes felt like things were going to fast on the first page already I did enjoy the story the longer I read the more I wanted to find out what happened next! The writing was smooth and clear and I loved the characters!

This was my first book by this author and I will definitely look into her other books too! I really enjoyed reading it! And definitely recommend others to try it out!

A short novella that will leave you obsessed and wanting more!! Kai inserted himself to the top of my book boyfriends list and I ain’t even mad about it!!

This may be a short story but it certainly isn’t lacking! Its plot is plotting and spice that will leave you breathless.

Kia, a sky siren is sent to take back land from the sea siren king. Kai happens to stumble upon his mate, but she’s holding a lot of secrets. He does know but she’s the daughter of the very king he is needs to kill. She offers to help get rid of the rather who has never loved her.
Along their journey they realise neither king has treated the people fairly. There’s a new objective now, take over and take the land for themselves, become the king and queen the people really need.
But will their enemies and lies catch up before they can reach their goal ? Will their love trump their hatred for the others kind ?

I am huge fan on Moonlight Muse and whatever she writes I will read (once it is on amazon😁) this is a short novella which (cca 150 pages) I received an ARC and I am leaving my review voluntarily. It took me just few hours to finish it, but it was so fast paced, that I couldn’t put it down. Within 150 pages there happened so much that I wasn’t bored even for one minute. It is written in 1st dual POV (my favourite) and it is quite dark, so be carefull if you have TW ( I have non🤣) it’s enemies to lovers with spice, broody non-feeling MMC, strong FMC with nice but predictable plot, but who cares when the read is great. Dear author, thank you for your hard work❤️

What a great read this was! It’s full of tension, suspense, action and romance. There are spicy scenes throughout but they do not overpower the plot in any way.

It’s an enemies to lovers story that shows love can conquer all. Kai and Sira, our MC’s, make a powerful couple and it was so lovely watching their relationship grow even with the secrets between them.

I really liked how they brought different people together to overcome prejudice showing that not all are bad and it is possible to work and live side by side.

It’s a short standalone read but once you start, you will not want to stop. This is the first book I have read from this author but will definitely be reading more.

A Siren’s Curse is such a bingeable fantasy romance. I really enjoyed the strong, emotionally complex main characters and the way their relationship shifts from tension and mistrust into something much deeper. The story balances action, heart, and a touch of spice, while also weaving in themes of prejudice, hope, and second chances. It works well as a complete, satisfying story.

Kai and Sira's love story is beautiful with just enough spice. A fated mate, shifter romance. A story about love defying all odds. Moonlight Muse never disappoints! I'm so excited to read about Kai's brother, Jorah, even though it will be written by a different author. Muse has set the stage and I can’t wait to see how the rest stack up. If you like stories about true love that overcomes all, with enough spice to have you blushing, then pick up the quick read by Moonlight Muse! "A Siren's Curse"

I absolutely love a good enemies to lovers and Muse absolutely delivered so hard on this.
Sira- a water siren and Kai, a Sky Siren- opposites to end each other but instead fate tests them and prove their worth.

This was an adventure and a half when reading. It was a fun twist on sirens and paranormal species. I always love the attention to detail and sept in the story and the characters of the books that Muse writes, it's addictive to always want to read any and all of her books- there hasn't been a book of hers that I haven't enjoyed along my reading journey.

There's some slight triggers, so please ensure you read those before diving in to this book. But I loved it, absolutely really freaking loved it. Kai is possessive, broody total big grump of a man and has WINGS! YES!!!!
Sira is sweet, caring, but also fiesty and willing to fight. She's an all rounder FMC.

Solid fantasy read. Excellent world building, dynamic character with witty back and forth and great spice. It all felt really well balanced, and I wasn't overwhelmed by world building. The plot itself was incredible. Opposing races brought together by the pull of fated mates. A traditional enemy to lovers, they both tried fighting it, but the pull was stronger than an age-old hate.

Sira & Kai were sworn enemies. Sira is a Sea Siren & Kai is a Sky Siren. Kai & Sira stumble upon each other. Kai with his own agenda, & Sira has secrets that she's keeping close to her heart. As the story unfolds, and secrets were revealed it will leave you wanting more.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily writing a review.

A Siren’s Curse is a paranormal fantasy romance featuring fated mates (only one realizes this at the beginning) who begin as enemies that can’t resist each other and turn into lovers.

Siralaine is an alluring sea siren, who happen to be mortal enemies with sky sirens, which her fated mate, Kai, is.

Overall Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Open or Closed Door: Open door

Spice Level: 2 out of 5 peppers

Age Range: FMC is 21 and MMC 135 years old, with supernatural beings obviously aging differently.

Book Boyfriend Material: As with most of Muse’s MMCs, Kai starts out as a jerk, though he does save the FMC and help her out.

Throughout the book, it becomes obvious he can’t fight his fate and falls head over heels for Sira and sees life can be better when you aren’t just self-serving and mission based.

FMC: Sira has had a hard life from the start, even though she was basically born into royalty. She hasn’t let that make her bitter, though, and wants to do right by her people.

However, she’s pretty much on her own and on the run when she runs into her fated mate, but she doesn’t know it. She knows he would end her if he found out who she really was and that might not be the only secret she’s hiding.

Series or Stand-Alone: This is a standalone book that is part of an interconnected series - The Shifterverse.

Ending: Ends with a happily ever after and a look at the near future after the main events in the book. The MMC’s brother will also be featured in another book.

This wasn’t my favorite read from Moonlight Muse, but it certainly wasn’t bad either. I appreciated a new-to-me shifter type and that it was a quicker than usual read, though that may have been at a cost.

The book didn’t read as smoothly and enjoyably as other reads by Muse, especially since I would have appreciated a bit more world building since this was a different universe.

I still enjoyed the plot, though, and look forward to further checking out The Shifterverse.

Likes

- Features sirens which is something new for me

-Main characters had a lot of personality
- Interesting storyline with curses and more

Dislikes

- While it was nice to have a quick read, it also read a lot choppier than I’m used to with this author

- For all the history and current paths both main characters had, it was a bit rushed

Overall, this is a decent read when you’re looking for something that’s short, while still containing a mix of spice and plot.

Siren's Curse is an addictive, steamy, emotionally charged forbidden romance story of Sira (sea siren) & Kai (sky siren).

Siralaine stormborn (Sira) is a Sea Siren Princess. She's running away from her family and clan as she's accused of the crimes she never committed.

Keiran Kaldor (Kai) is a Sky Siren and commander of the King's army. He is sent on mission to sea kingdom.

Sira and Kai both are enemies and as different as sea and sky, two souls born on opposite sides of a centuries old war, yet drawn to each other by fate. A destiny, A Siren's Curse intertwined their fates together. Their paths collides and a bond, pull, forbidden desire they both can't resist.

Sira has her own secrets and Kai has his own agenda. It's passion mixed with danger -duty versus desire and loyalty versus love. When truth will be revealed and secrets comes out it can destroy many things as stakes are high. Along the way to their journey together they meet some people and that gives them new purpose in their life to make the kingdom better for everyone and rule it fairly.

The chemistry between them is breathtakingly intense, steamy scences are so hot. He is so possessive, protective of her and can burn the whole world down for her. She can sacrifice everything for him. They are the perfect example of love conquers all. As they challenges fate and fought against all the odds to be together.

I loved Sira and Kai so much that I can't get enough of them and want more.

If you love forbidden romance, enemies to lovers and fated mates, read this wonderful fantasy romance between sea and sky siren.

Moonlight Muse has delivered another captivating addition to the Shifterverse, and I was completely hooked from the very first page. This book is a true triumph, successfully combining a fast-paced narrative with genuine emotional depth, all set within a richly detailed and unforgettable world.

The characters are the heart of this story. Sira is a phenomenal and powerful female lead—strong, expressive, and fiercely loyal. Her complexity makes her utterly compelling. She is perfectly balanced by Kai, the classic protective male whose tough exterior hides a surprising soft spot reserved solely for Sira. Their relationship’s evolution, transitioning beautifully from initial friction to a deep, satisfying affection, is meticulously rendered and feels both earned and inevitable. Their dynamic is undoubtedly a major highlight.

Beyond the magnetic romance, the story excels in its thematic maturity, particularly in its thoughtful examination of overcoming deep-seated biases and prejudices. Muse handles this complex issue with grace, underscoring the necessity of humility and the courage required to admit when one's initial views are fundamentally flawed. This moral backbone elevates the book far beyond a simple romance.

The narrative is gorgeously written, the world-building is immersive, and the emotional resonance is palpable. While the book features tasteful and steamy moments, they are well-integrated into the developing relationship.

As a complete standalone within the wider Shifterverse, this book is an ideal starting point for new readers.

Spice 🌶🌶.5

A Siren’s Curse by Moonlight Muse was such an addictive little read, packed with tension, danger, twists, and a spicy romance that hits fast and hard. It’s a short novella, but it still manages to feel dramatic and high-stakes, with plenty of action to keep the pace racing. I started it and basically didn’t come up for air until I was done.

Kai and Sira make an intense pairing. He’s a Sky Siren warrior, she’s a Sea Siren, and they’re the kind of opposites who are supposed to destroy each other… not fall into something fated. The enemies-to-lovers vibe is strong from the start, and I loved watching their connection grow even while there are secrets hanging over them like a storm cloud. It’s that delicious push-and-pull where you can feel the chemistry long before either of them wants to admit it.

The story throws them straight into a mission across realms to reclaim Varindor, and the plot keeps tossing obstacles in their path, betrayals, shifting loyalties, and revelations that change what you think you know. Sira’s backstory adds a darker edge too. She’s not like other sea sirens, she’s carrying grief from her mother’s death, and she’s been surviving in the shadows, running from her father and the truth of what she is. Then she ends up stuck with Kai, who has his own lethal agenda.

As they travel together, the world around them feels unstable and on the brink, and meanwhile the bond between them keeps strengthening. The romance has that “we shouldn’t, but we can’t stop” energy, plus the looming curse and forbidden elements that make everything feel more dangerous and desperate.

This was a 4-star read for me purely because I wanted a bit more world building and breathing space in the realm. That said… I’d have read double the length just to stay with Kai and Sira longer. It’s a perfect one-sitting binge that leaves you obsessed and wishing there was more the second you hit the last page.

A forbidden pairing and an ancient curse

"Sky and sea, twisting and colliding, powerful and beautiful together."

This is my first book from this author but I really enjoyed it.

Siralain is a sea siren princess but is also cursed and treated horribly. Jorah is heir to the dukedom in Alvazakh but more than that he is a warrior.

These two meet and Sira is hiding what and who she is because the Sea Siren's are pretty much hated by everyone on land. However, fate has other plans because these two enemies are fated mates.

This follows their journey as they discover the injustices and horrors all over the lands. They also develop a bond even though there are secrets she hasn't told him and ones not even she knows are true. This is a beautiful story of acceptance and finding balance.

Love and fate will always find a way even if the outcome is not seen. I adore that these two wanted to ensure a better kingdom for all and made plans to ensure everyone had basic human rights and safety.

"From where the sky begins and where the ocean sleeps, across every wind and wave, stronger than the wind, deeper than the tides, more than life itself. You are the horizon I chase, the storm I would sail towards, and the calm I've always sought within the chaos of the world. I love you more than all that has been, and all that will ever be."

A Siren’s Curse by Moonlight Muse completely swept me away. In a genre overflowing with werewolf and vampire stories, this book feels genuinely refreshing. It dives into rare mythology, giving us sirens, curses, and ocean magic in a way that feels original, immersive, and impossible to put down.
The world-building is rich and atmospheric. Every chapter pulls you deeper into a haunting, beautifully crafted setting that feels alive with tension and mystery. Moonlight Muse’s writing is vivid and cinematic without ever losing emotional intimacy.
The protagonist is wonderfully layered—strong yet vulnerable, powerful yet deeply human. Her struggle with the curse, her inner conflicts, and her journey toward owning her identity were all so compelling that I found myself rooting for her instantly.
And the romance? Absolutely addictive. A slow-burn filled with tension, chemistry, and the kind of emotional pull that keeps you thinking about the characters long after closing the book.
What I loved most is how different this story feels. It’s not another predictable supernatural romance. It brings something new, enchanting, and deeply engaging to the genre.
I loved every minute of this read and can’t wait for the next book. If you’re looking for a fantasy romance with unique mythology, stunning atmosphere, and gripping character dynamics, I can’t recommend it enough.

I fell into A Siren’s Curse quietly — and somehow it wrapped around me before I realized it. This is a dark fantasy romance where tension simmers beneath every interaction, and nothing feels accidental, even when it is.

The story unfolds in a world shaped by rivalry and power, where the sea and the sky are more than elements — they are identities. At the center is Siralaine, a mermaid with a presence that feels both gentle and dangerous, and Kai, an air siren bound by duty and restraint.

Their meeting isn’t dramatic or loud, but it carries weight. There’s a pull, subtle and unsettling, felt more than explained.
What I loved most is how slowly everything builds. The romance doesn’t rush to name itself. It lingers in glances, silences, and unspoken tension.
Kai’s perspective adds an emotional undercurrent that feels intimate and raw, while Siralaine remains a quiet force — unaware of just how much she shifts the world around her.

Moonlight Muse’s writing is atmospheric and lyrical, leaning into mood rather than exposition. The magic is elemental and instinctive, woven into air, water, and choice. This isn’t a story about fate screaming its truth — it’s about listening closely enough to hear it.

In short:
A slow-burn, elemental fantasy romance.
Moody, intimate, and quietly intense.
A Siren’s Curse stayed with me long after I turned the last page.

This is one of my go to authors and she doesn't disapoint with this short story. Its face paced and doesn't hang about. Its straight to the mission and our lead characters are loveable and have this great energy between them. Sira is a strong willed sea siren who knows what she wants. Framed by her step sisters she is on the run from her father who wants to inprison her. Cursed by her mothers family line he has never warmed to her and plans to use her in his own way.

Kai is sky siren, a warrior sent to kill Sira's father. On his mission he meets the one thing he never thought of, his mate. He knows she is holding back but his possessive alpha nature takes hold and things progress on their relationship.

This a a great story about overcoming prejudices and seeing someons for more than they are. During their time together Sira and Kai realise things are not what they initially thought and that loyalty is rewarded. There is so much happening in this book and its hard to put down. The next book in the series is about Kai's brother, written by a different author here's hoping for a new perspective.

I received this as an ARC and am leaving my own review

“Maybe loving you is my punishment,”

This was a fast-paced novella that is action-packed and a little spicy.

Sira and Kai come from rival species, she being a sea siren and he being a sky siren. At first, Kai doesn't know Sira's true identity, but the mate bond draws him to her in a way he's never felt before. Sira, on the other hand, knows exactly who Kai is, and even though she doesn't feel the bond, she still can't help falling in love with him.

I really enjoyed seeing them overcome their differences and actually fight together against those who would rather keep them apart, and against all the injustices that the people of Varindor were living. I also enjoyed the whole curse concept and the lesson that true love can overcome anything.

Quote: “From where the sky begins and where the ocean sleeps, across every wind and wave, stronger than the wind, deeper than tides, more than life itself. You are the horizon I chase, the storm I would sail towards, and the calm I’ve always sought within the chaos of the world. I love you more than all that has been, and all that will ever be.”

I want to start by saying I did not read the first 2 books in this series and was able to understand everything perfectly—while making me want to know more and read the other stand alones in this interconnected, multi author series.

Muse captured my attention immediately in this book as we dive straight in to the enemies to lovers story. I think the positive and negative I have for A Siren’s Curse is that it was so fast paced because it is short. As someone who has read all of Muse’s books I felt like it was moving very quickly before I realized it’s novella length. When I had to accept I’m going to finish quickly, I really enjoyed having a story I could finally get to a HEA on since I’ve been reading a ton of cliffhangers lately. This was the perfect (action packed!!) slice of life I needed that still wrapped lovely in the epilogue.

I highly recommend if you are in a reading slump and need something exciting and easy to pull you out! You get a little of all the best tropes here too: enemies to lovers, touch her and die, one bed, HEA, and more

🌶️🌶️🌶️/5: it’s lower on the spice scale than other Muse books but she still hits you where you need.

A Siren’s Curse swept me into a completely new universe—one filled with breathtaking magic, unique rules, and intriguing species unlike anything I’ve seen in Moonlight Muse’s wolf-shifter books. I loved that this story felt fresh and imaginative yet still carried her signature intensity and heart.

The world-building is rich, making you feel as though you’re right there among the sea and sky sirens, tangled in their centuries-old war. And the tension between the main characters? Their connection is powerful and undeniable, even when they both know their romance is forbidden and could ignite disaster. That push-and-pull—their struggle to resist fate while being drawn together—had me glued to the pages.

What struck me most was the sacrifice and courage both characters show. They risk everything because their hearts refuse to let go. It’s a story about love defying fear, history, and every warning they’ve ever known.

If you enjoy passionate enemies-to-lovers tension, sweeping fantasy worlds, and high-stakes romance, A Siren’s Curse is a must-read. I’m excited for the other books in this series!

What a fantastic story!

Totally got Romeo and Juliet vibes from this story, only this one has a HEA.
We have Sira (Siralaine), our MFC, she’s a sea siren from the Varindor realm, she’s on the run after being accused for something she didn’t do, she’s keeping secrets, and she’s playing a starring role in prophecy’s she isn’t aware of. She manages to escape to the Human realm by the skin of her teeth, where she meets Kai (our MMC) rather dramatically.
Kai is a sky siren from the Alvazakh realm, he is the commander of the Western Army and is promised a sovereignty over Varindor if he takes control of the realm in the name of King Varkhazan.
Sky sirens and Sea sirens are sworn enemies, their races hate each other with a passion, but Sira starts to win Kai’s heart, even when he knows she isn’t telling him everything.
The story has a gorgeous strong FMC, a possessive and powerful MMC, there is loads of action, there is chemistry and spice, there are heart stopping moments and heartbreak, all wrapped up into a fantastical story. You can’t go wrong with forbidden love and a fated mate bond story, nor a Moonlight Muse book, and this one doesn’t disappoint!

Disclaimer: A Siren’s Curse is a standalone novel set within a larger multi-book universe. I haven’t read the other books in this world, so it’s possible I missed some background details or deeper dynamics between secondary characters—but that didn’t stop this story from being compelling on its own.

Sirelane and Kai are born enemies, yet destined for something far greater. Kai is the fiercest of commanders—loyal, self-assured, and lethal in his devotion to his cause. Sirelane is a princess, the firstborn and rightful heir, yet she is treated as an outcast—bullied, humiliated, and dismissed by everyone around her, including the king himself.

Kai knows she is his. He fights it, resists it, and denies it—but the pull is unavoidable. Sirelane, unaware of their bond until it’s already too late, finds herself his “prisoner,” and together they are forced into an uneasy alliance. What follows is an adventure driven by survival, destiny, and a shared goal that binds them closer with every step.

A Siren’s Curse is filled with tension, and forbidden attraction. Moonlight Muse once again delivers a story where fate is cruel, love is dangerous, and destiny refuses to be ignored.

A Siren’s Curse” pulled me in from the very first page and refused to let go. The world-building is lush, the tension is addictive, and the characters feel alive in a way that stays with you long after you close the book. The author does an incredible job blending myth, magic, and emotion without ever losing the story’s momentum.

The heroine is everything I love strong, layered, and flawed in a way that makes you root for her even harder. And the love interest? Whew. The chemistry jumps right off the page. Their dynamic had me kicking my feet like, okay, y’all are doing a little too much and not enough at the same time.

What truly makes this story shine is the way it balances danger and desire. One moment you’re gasping at the plot twist, and the next you’re whispering “girl, don’t fall for him… but also, yes you should.”

If you love paranormal romance with high stakes, magic, and characters who refuse to break even when the world pushes back this is the one. “A Siren’s Curse” is the kind of book that reminds you why fantasy romance is that girl.

This was such a good quick read!
One of my favorite things was that Sira doesn’t instantly fall head-over-heels for Kai. With no fate bond forcing her feelings, she falls for him naturally—and the fact that she falls for him despite him being her sworn enemy makes it feel like true love. I especially loved the dynamic of Sira knowing Kai is a sky siren while he has no idea she’s a sea siren. The tension that creates? So good.

And oh, Kai. When a character fights the fate bond that hard, you just know he’s going to fall even harder. I enjoyed watching him try to treat Sira like she was nothing more than a plaything while clearly battling his desire for her. His cluelessness about her being a sea siren for most of the book made the reveal so much more satisfying. His honest reaction—followed by genuine acceptance and devotion—won me over completely.

You expect Kai to be this stoic, emotionless warrior, but underneath it all he’s basically a teddy bear. Their romance ended up being super cute, and I loved every moment of it.
A really enjoyable, fast, and sweet read!

Another Epic read! As a standalone novel, it is another masterpiece from Author muse. There is so much going on and a prequel and a sequel is definitely one we would need. I need more of this story and where it all began!

The characters are well written. Author muse depicts perfectly the raw chemistry between Sira and Kai. Deep suspicions vs potent yearning they feel for each other. Their story isn't just about falling in love, it's about tearing down ingrained prejudices between each other.

If there is a downside, I would say that the story/novel should be longer! I hope that prequel and sequels will follow soon!

Overall, A Siren's Curse is a compelling and passionate story of forbidden romance. This is a must-read for people (like me) who loves high-stakes fantasy novels. It will leave you desperate to know what is coming next!
Highly recommended!

Thank you Muse for another great novel installation.
*No spoilers in my review since I want to everyone to be on edge like me. Haha
