This book was a good standalone. I felt bad for Judi she went through so much. I really like Jamar and Judi relationship. His mother was something else because of her secret cause everybody a heart ache. The ending was something else I didn't see that coming.
To say the main character Judi is "unlucky" is an understatement. If it wasn't one thing if was another. In this story she went through a lot , not just in her love life but in all aspects of life. It was very easy to develop sympathy for her as things continued to spiral downhill. Just when you thought she found her happy ending, BAM! More unfortunate events take place with a very unexpected and surprising ending. The author did a good job penning a full stand alone novel that will hold the reader's attention.
I thought this book was good. Judi was so unlucky it was unreal. It started out with Judi loosing both her parents, then she goes on to live this fairytale with Jamar for about 60% of the book. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere Hattie drops an atomic bomb that turns everything upside down. Smh good job Ms. Hunter
Unlucky was an understatement in describing the grief Judi experienced... Unlucky In Love was a well written, drama filled story by Rikenya Hunter that I truly enjoyed. Great read that held my attention throughout.

I am rating four stars. A refreshing read with a different kind of love story. Hunter explored some taboo subjects and it made the read all that much better.
This was once again a very good read from Rikenya Hunter. This lady never ceases to amaze me. She always brings her A game. This read had a nice flow, a good storyline and was also very inspirational. A must read and also a stand alone.
