Allie Forrester just wants to be a regular girl. Go to work, hang with friends, find someone special to share her life with. Only, everyone she encounters wants to use her to get to her super-famous brother, Sexiest Man Alive Andrew Forrester.
After a life-altering incident in college, Allie backs away from making lasting relationships and puts up a brash, outgoing front to hide her pain. It's not until she meets actor Declan Foster that she starts to come out of her shell and learn to trust again.
Heather C. Leigh is the author of the Amazon best selling Famous series. She likes to write about the 'dark' side of fame. The part that the public doesn't get to see, how difficult it is to live in a fishbowl and how that affects relationships.
Heather was born and raised in New England and after spending 15 years in Atlanta, GA, currently lives north of Houston, TX with her husband, 2 kids, and French Bulldog, Shelby.
Heather loves the Red Sox, the Patriots, and anything chocolate (but not white chocolate, everyone knows it's not real chocolate so it doesn't count) and has left explicit instructions in her will to have her ashes snuck into Fenway Park and sneakily sprinkled all over while her family enjoys beer, hot dogs, and a wicked good time.
My favorite authors are Dan Wells, Ken Follett, and Stephen King.
I have truly enjoyed this entire Famous Series; as someone who enjoys various aspects of celebrity, it was interesting and fun to experience this from the many points of view that this Famous series has shown us. This journey is from Allie Forrester's perspective; trying to live her 'normal' life in the shadow of one of the World's sexiest celebrities is what Allie is desperately needing to do. She is constantly trying to determine who wants her for her true self, not as the sister of a famous actor. The last time she let her guard down to enjoy that pseudo-celeb spotlight, she was dramatically hurt. She has held that burden for years, that is until she meets gorgeous and sexy actor/model Declan Foster; he is fighting his own demons from his past, that have changed the way he views relationships and intimacy. Can they both be what the other needs?
I loved that this series has given us a look at the darker, less glamorous side of celebrity from the POV of the celebrity, their partners, and family members. It is not always glitz and glamour. Allie's is the most heartbreaking story, and I was so glad for Declan to enter her life and give her love and trust like she never experienced it before. Nice to also get glimpses of our friends from previous editions. I so loved how Heather pulled this series all together, weaving together all the details to make for a cohesive story. This was a short novella, but packed a sweet punch. You must read the entire series, for all the elements to truly make sense. I am so looking forward to the next series, which will be an offshoot of Famous, featuring that sexy rocker Adam Reynolds. Thanks Heather for giving us such a wonderful read!
I have loved every book in this series. I'm not sure if there is anything left to really wrote about, but God knows I would love to read more stories with these characters. Looking forward to more from Heather!
You meet Allie and Dex in one of the previous books of Sydney and Drew. You pretty much get a glimpse of their story just not their full back story. This book is a then and now of what went on to see what makes them who they are. Although time passed and you know they hooked up in the previous books but when it starts off it pretty much starts where they left off in London and then when Dex came to the charity ball. I could be wrong and I'm not going to take the time or suffer through looking but I could have sworn that in the earlier books when Allie was mentioned she referenced that when she was in college her roommate was the one who spilled the beans on who she was, and yet in this book Allie got drunk and spilled the beans. I also thought it said that she was no longer friends with her ex roommate and yet again she is a friend who shows up for the ball, who is never referenced again after coming to town and having lunch with Allie. Also when Dex was describing Tony, who shows up at the charity event he says he isn't that big shorter then him and small and yet again when he goes to deck him he references him to being big with large hands. Make up your mind or just DON'T
This has been a great series as it follows good friends and family as they find their love partners. There's a lot of drama and a sad look at the life of celebrities and the privacy violations they have to put up with.
Really loved this companion novel to the Famous series. I really enjoyed learning about Allie and Declan and their pasts. It was very endearing to watch her and Declan form a relationship and fall in love. Perfect way to tie up all the characters from the Famous Series! Another fantastic job by Heather!
I'm glad we got a look into Allie's life. I didn't really give that much thought into what made her who she is, but I'm glad to see the person behind "Andrew Forester's sister" It was short and sweet.
I felt the emotions of the characters as well as getting frustrated with the media. I enjoyed seeing the events thru the eyes of the relative and how it could effect them. Would recommend this series to anyone
The insta love is insane. If I remember right, the said "I love you" after actually being with each other for 3 days. Would not recommend, however I enjoying learning about her background and how her life was like.
