Sean Tyler. So goddamn gorgeous. But he was everything Lissa didn't want to know. Far too into himself. Overly sexual in his manner. Way too confident. God's gift to women, and no doubt thoroughly enjoying himself in the role. But all the objections she could dream up didn't make her lust for him any the less. It was just as well her best friend Charlie was hot on his tail and had him on her 'must have asap' list. Charlie and a good number of other reasons meant Sean was off limits. Even so Lissa instinctively knew the forthcoming party was going to be difficult, one way or another. But she couldn't have imagined how difficult, or the resulting consequences, in a million years. 18+
I like to read books with a helluva good story as well as the superheated hot stuff, and that's the kind of thing I like to write.
The story is of utmost importance in my mind. The characters and details fit into that framework. And I take a lot of care over my characters and details.
I'm a self confessed love-a-holic, living in my heated imagination. Not that that's a bad place to be living, but it does make ordinary, day to day life, a little less than exciting at times.
I have to kick myself up the backside now and then and remind myself that books is books and life is life. LOL
I've read hundreds of books in a variety of genres - love, mystery, intrigue - and to be honest, I enjoy a little gruesome horror as well. Shocking, scary, downright gory really gets me going.
I worked in finance until a few years ago, and if you've ever read Hot Options, one of my books, you'll see a real glimpse of the old me in there. All the technical stuff is true to life.
My office is my comfy sofa and my even comfier bed. YES, it really is. I sit on my bed and type like a pro getting up to 5k words out on some days.
There certainly was a lot of lust in this book. Hot steamy lust for one very yummy sounding man named Sean. And more than one woman was doing the lusting. Unfortunately this can cause problems when two of the women are best friends.
In a lot of ways, this book reminded me a bit of the first Dr Sex book by Katrina. There was a very hot and famous man who found a beautiful woman doing a meaningless job and wants to integrate her into his world. Then, there is a jealous bestie to cause problems. In this one, though, there is an added element of danger that was very thrilling. Sean got to be the night in shining armor, making him all the more delectable.
If you liked the Dr Sex series, you will love this book too. If you haven't read it, what's wrong with you? It was awesome! Go read it now! Lol. It's by the same author, K.M. (Katrina) Liss.
K.M.Liss has started this series off on a great note. I was given a free copy to review for the author, but I would have bought it anyways because I really enjoy her writing. This book hits the road running and kept me interested all the way through. Lisa the female character I felt is like many females in their early twenties. She has experienced a lot of hard times, but I feel this only adds to her character and to her strength. Now the male character Sean sounds positively yummy. He is kind of secretive about his past so I am waiting for more to be revealed about him as the series progresses. And let me tell you the chemistry between these two characters from first sight is sizzling. I really can't wait for book two to come out.
was given a free copy of this book to read and I loved it - I literally did not put this book down until the end of it. I just "HAVE TO" find out what happens with Sean, Lissa and Charlie, I can not wait until the 2nd book comes out......let's hope it will be soon! What a great read - KM Liss is one of my new favorite authors after reading Dr. Sex ......and now Lust!
