Wow. I'm speechless. Let me start by saying this book is nothing like anything D H Sidebottom has written before. In it we meet Elina, a 23 year old woman with a difference. Created and used in the name of ‘science’ Elina hasn’t had an easy life. Kept alive and experimented on for one reason, Elina has no life, her only friend is 6 year old Lettie and after one experiment too many she’s had enough and runs. Reid, finding the doorman from his club arguing with a distraught and bare foot Elina offers to help and after he questions her, she shows him a little of what she can do. After revealing that he also knows Judgement he offers to help train her to control her ‘ability’, but has he got his own reasons for helping her?
I felt for Elina, she’s a sweet girl who just wants to be happy and in peace, instead she’s been tortured her whole life, abused and lied to, and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better any time soon. Will Reid have the answers she needs? Will her mum ever act like a mother should? Will she ever be happy? I was literally willing Elina on, on every single page of this book. I love a stubborn woman and Elina doesn’t let anyone stop her once she sets her mind to something….even if she puts herself at risk.
I loved this book, it’s brilliantly written, there’s a lot (and I mean a LOT) of detailed explanations that are easy to grasp and a very unique and addictive story. I openly admit that D H is one of my all-time favourite authors and in my opinion she really has out done herself with this book. Twists and turns galore, sexual chemistry, characters you love to hate and an adorable six year old Lettie make this book one of the best books I’ve read in recent years. I can’t recommend it enough, 5 stars is nowhere near enough for Judgement 8, even 10 stars wouldn’t do it justice.

FANTASTIC!! If you are not a fan of DH Sidebottom already then Judgment 8 will for sure turn you into one, I am a huge fan of DH and her writing amazes me with every book she releases. DH Sidebottom has expanded her talents by writing Judgment 8 which is an Erotic Thriller with some Sci/Fi mix and I for one could not be happier. The storyline flows so perfectly and it is so easy to follow unlike many books that contain Sci/Fi where you have a hard time comprehending how everything came about. In addition to being wonderfully written, Judgment 8 is filled with suspense and action that left my heart racing with excitement at every page and of course in true DH Sidebottom fashion…the romance between Reid and Elina is off the charts HOT!! I was so caught up in Reid & Elina's story reading this book that when it ended I felt like someone had kicked me out their world and all I wanted to do was keep banging on the walls to let me back in. I loved it and couldn't get enough of this story!

3.5 - 4 Electric STARS!
I'm numb. I'm confused. I'm slightly annoyed.
What the fuck did I just read? Holy Fuck.
This was different from anything I've ever read. A mix of Sci-fi, Thriller, and Dark Erotica. All I knew before embarking on this journey was Sidebottom wrote so of course I'm reading it.
Elina, subject alpha, a weapon, built for war. She's escaped Judgment, seeking freedom from a life of experiments, agony, and her mother; the source of all her pain. Elina runs straight into Reid. Reid opens his doors to Elina, but why is he helping a stranger and how much does he know? There's an instant attraction between the two of them, and sparks literally fly. As the story progresses, Elina finds out the people who she trusted are the ones that are hiding the biggest secrets, and one by one they become her enemies. I can't say much more with giving away spoilers. Honestly, I wouldn't know where to begin.
The twists were non-stop, I couldn't wrap my mind around one before I was hit with another. I usually love unpredictable plots, but I couldn't catch my breath. By the end, my mind was fried. I re-read the ending a few times trying to figure out what I missed, so many unanswered questions. I don't think it was clear who the real villain was, or were they all a pawn in a bigger game. I hope I get the answers I seek in the next book, as for now, I'm left confused and a bit numb.

A Sci-Fi Erotic Thriller from the brilliant DH Sidebottom? Oh yes, and it’s beyond anything I’ve ever read in this genre mix. Judgement 8 has put her above and beyond any of my expectations, and this story is absolutely mind blowing, and will have you at the edge of your seat the whole way through.
Elina grew up in the Judgement Corp. under the watchful eye of her mother, who experimented and basically put her through hell her entire life, which has drastic outcomes and changes the face of everything you thought you knew. She braves the storm, and escapes the facility, running smack dab into Reid, who little does she know, is also a Judgement subject.
These two are like fire and ice, literally, and it’s one hell of a storm that’s brewing. The physical and mental bond they have is like nothing I’ve ever seen, and the force they bring as a pair is magnificent. They have mutual enemies, ones that will stop at nothing to destroy them, and it’s an explosive non-stop thrill ride

Absolutely fantastic read!!
Dawn's best work to date and a powerful story that had me hooked from page one.

Okay let me tell you first of all, I love all of D.H. Sidebottoms books. Everything she has written has just got better and better each time however when I read the blurb on this I thought wow this looks quite sci fi and I don't do para or fantasy or sci fi so I was very apprehensive about taking it on. However I truly believe if I had passed on this it would have been a huge big gigantic mistake !!! It was really not what I was expecting at all and if it's taught me one thing its not to judge a book by its blurb lol !
Okay so the book is different to anything I have read in the romance/erotica genre and also something new from the authors usual line and now I have decided that I like different. I won't say to much about the plots themselves because it would give to much away.
Elina Rowe is one huge experiment courtesy of her mother and Judgment Corp. Her mind and body has been tested and experimented on most of her life creating disastrous consequences at times. Elina manages to escape when she runs into the very hot Reid McCallum. What she doesn't realise straight away is that Reid was also a subject of Judgments experiments. The electricity these 2 carry for one another physically and mentally is off the charts and will keep you wanting more. Can they find a way to take Judgement and all it's evil down even though people aren't who they thought they were, hell Elina and Reid aren't even who they thought each other were? Well you have to read and see.
I loved this book, as I have already said it really surprised me. The writing is impeccable and I think D.H. Sidebottom has surpassed anything she's ever written. It was a very smart, clever and imaginative creation which proved beyond doubt the author can write outside her usual genres. You could never ever guess the storyline as you read because at every turn there was a twist that had my mind confused and left me wanting to know more. People weren't who they seemed or were they in the end? It was very mysterious and I inhaled the whole book in 3 hours and thoroughly enjoyed it. I for one can't wait for book 2 to see what happens next.

5++++++++ Amazing Blow your mind stars…
To date this has to be D H Sidebottom's best book don't get me wrong I love all her books but this one is just so different from anything she has written before and personally anything I have ever read
It is Fantastic DH Amazes me every time I Pick up one of her books.
This book is packed with Hotness that you get with all D H Books But the plot in this book for me is Unique
It has some amazing Twists and turns throughout the book You will have moments you sit there staring at the Kindle going WTF and no matter what you expect to happen it goes a totally different way it is far for me any way sometimes I can guess what is going to happen before the book ends but really I didn't predict this one
This book grabs you and it sure as hell don't let go Reid and Elina's story is far from a fairytale there is heartache there is drama there is characters who you will hate and ones you will love you will laugh cry It's a MUST read for all D H Fans

However, I'm so glad I took the chance.This book is nothing like any of Dawn's previous work. A touch of sci-fi with thriller/erotica thrown in for good measure makes for a surprisingly enjoyable read. It is also book one of two stories so be prepared for a cliffhanger!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Judgement 8 by D.H.Sidebottom for an honest review so here's my honest review.
D.H.Sidebottom is my favourite author of all Time my go to one click without even knowing what the story is going to be like DHS as I say in ALL my reviews is the author who has that golden touch who can write a book that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat, biting your nails, hyperventilating with what is coming next with the twist and turns and the WTH moments.
So I knew Judgement 8 was going to be different to anything else DHS has ever written and to be honest I wasn't 100% how I would feel about this book as it's not my normal genre of book I would normally read with it being a Erotic/Sci-fi Thriller and I was honest and told DHS this..
HOWEVER!!
Judgement 8 was without doubt one of the best books D.H.Sidebottom has ever written yes you did read that right IT IS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS DHS HAS WRITTEN TO DATE, and the bonus part is Judgement 8 is book 1 of the 2 book series.. it had the twist, the turns, the nail biting sitting on the edge of your seat story and humour yes I did giggle at Elina and her wit...it is 100% brilliant..
Reid and Elina have a very Hot sexual chemistry a very passionate relationship with banter and wit added to the mix But WITH A DIFFENCE you'll see what I mean when you read it and I think that's one of the things that DHS can write without it seeming repetitive boring and it's defiantly not boring and effortlessly...
in any of my reviews I hate giving the story line away and say especially when the book is written this brilliantly it is a MUST READ ...
another outstanding master piece D.H.Sidebottom for me 5* really isn't enough it is defiantly worth more I can't wait for book 2 and knowing DHS like I do it won't be long till book 2 hit's our Kindle...Congratulations D.H.Sidebottom absolutely one of the best written read's I've read by you and yes this is coming from the person who is obsessed with your Room 103 series

Book Review - Judgement 8 by D H Sidebottom - 4 high voltage stars
Want a fast paced thriller? Then you’ve come to the right place. DH Sidebottom takes another departure, and ventures down the road of genetic engineering.
In this book, we meet Elina, a product of her scientist mothers experiments and the subject of many more. Elina’s life is not her own and it isn’t pretty. And when I say it's not pretty, prepare yourself for some horrific flashbacks.
Every person has a breaking point and Elina reaches hers. Soon she’s running and trying to hide, which puts her straight into the path of Reid.
Reid has his own secrets to protect, whilst trying to get to the bottom of Elina. He knows all about Judgement, the facility Elina has escaped from.
This book doesn’t hang around. It moves constantly and you find yourself spun upside down from what you thought you knew so many times that you end up not knowing which way is up.
And whilst I really enjoyed this book, there was just something that didn’t quite stick it up there with Mae and Facade for me. Maybe it was the insta romance, i’m not a fan and things seemed to happy quickly (but as I said before, everything happened quickly in this!). Maybe it was because it’s pretty stark so it’s impossible to weave in the beauty that was built into the writing of Mae.
That’s all I can think of because i’ve sat here for the last week and a half trying to decide why and it has everything else in that I adore. I’ve always liked thrillers, paranormal, sexy tales and this is one of those all wrapped up in a ball.
This is book 1 of 2, and leaves us with lots of unanswered questions, so i’ll be checking back in for part two to see how everything unfolds.
I’m going into book 2 with a flak jacket though, because I think it’s going to get even more messy!

I don't usually read romance from the paranormal/sci-fi variety, but I'm pleased that the rare occasions that I have I've been very pleased with what I've read.
I'm quite familiar with DH Sidebottom's work and she is one of my favorite authors. Judgement 8 is so completely different from what she's written before and this story just proves she can master any romance genre.
The storyline was very original and quite literally felt like I could have been watching a movie on the Sci-Fi channel. Though the scenes in this book between Elina and Reid were quite HOT and intense, it didn't overpower the story. There was plenty of "meat" and content to give you a very rounded read.
The characters were great. Throughout the drama and action of what they were going through, they still managed to make me giggle or laugh out loud. The banter between Elina and Reid was quite entertaining. Elina was a very witty woman;outspoken, strong willed, passionate and extremely compassionate. She's lived her life in environment that was anything but compassionate. She'd endured a lot of pain in suffering, but none of that broke her spirit.
A very entertaining read. This does end on a cliffy (I wasn't expecting that) and I will MOST DEFINITELY be keeping my eye out for the next installment. I CANNOT wait to find out what happens next!!

I'm quite familiar with DH Sidebottom's work and she is one of my favorite authors. Judgement 8 is so completely different from what she's written before and this story just proves she can master any romance genre.
The storyline was very original and quite literally felt like I could have been watching a movie on the Sci-Fi channel. What the HELL did I just read.....????? First chapter in and I had to stop and take a moment were I was gonna message DH and ask her 'What the hell did you just send me!?' But I decided that could wait and I nose died back into this book that had me so all over the place from the beginning.
This book is NOTHING like we have read from DH. Just putting that out there before you get your teeth sunk into it. BUT it is UNREAL/ I always knew DH had some serious writing skills but this just shows how much and how versatile she is.
This book is about Elina Rowe. And what her life has been like. I can't really say a lot without giving stuff away. But she's running from some very serious evil people. After 23 years with these people been put through torture on a daily basis she snaps and runs. But she has no were to go. And this is when she meets Reid. And as Per usual with are male loving author he is amazing looking. And so by BBF at the moment.

What the hell did I just read, I ask myself...Sci-fi by D H Sidebottom?? Hmmm it just shows that this woman can really turn her hands to any genre. This was completely different from anything I have read by DH previously. An action packed nail biting sci-fi adventure with a steamy romance between the 2 main characters with DH’s usual sizzling hot sex scenes.
I was refreshing and enjoyable to read something different with a new twist and I was gripped throughout the story right up to the very end.
I say end but there is no end we leave on a damn...To Be Continued and I could have screamed at DH and thrown my kindle against the wall.
I loved all the characters especially Elina, who’s wit, had me laughing during some tense moments.
I’m looking forward to the next instalment I just hope that DH doesn’t make us wait too long

Oh my god what can I say D.H Sidebottom has done it again I loved this story.
I don't usually like a book with powers but this one I feel in love with it from the start. It grips you from the first page.
I instantly fell for Elina and her story as she was trapped in a place where they did experiments on her but when she finally gets out she bumps into Reid and he acts like one total arse whole but you cant help but fall for him.

Honestly, I did not see this brilliance coming. I know D.H Sidebottom is a wonderful author, but she way surpassed my already high expectations!
This is not like any other book you've ever read. It's still packed with the level of hotness you'd expect from D.H Sidebottom, but the overall plot is very unusual, and super smart. There is no shortage of twists and turns throughout - you WILL gasp with surprise, and you will cling to the book, unable to put it down. It grabs you and demands to be read until the very last page.

I have got to admit that this is not a genre that I usually read but wow, D H Sidebottom has nailed it yet again.
It is a fast paced, erotic, chilling story that had me spinning in my chair,there were so many totally unexpected twists and turns.
I'm not giving the story away,just to say you need to meet Elina and Reid,you won't be disappointed.

WOW!!! This is a totally different Genre for Dawn and I really LOVED IT!! Reid OMG I loved him!! It was a story with so many twists and turns, it keeps you on the edge of your seat. I can't wait for the next one now. I don't want to give anything away so you must read it for yourself. :-)

I have read all the books of this author, but when I started this one, I was not sure that I would like it. The sci-fi genre is not one of my favorites, but as a Sidebottom´s work fan I decided to give a try. And how well I did! Although it cost me a bit to understand the plot and the characters at the beginning, when I did it, I was completely hooked. And the end? It has left me WANTING MORE. Between Elina and Reid ⚡️ 🔥 scenes. Although there are still many questions in the air I hope they are answered in the following book.

But I want it because I want to connect with you, Elina. Not because I want to fucking hurt you! You’re right. I knew exactly who you were before you told me. I'm a huge D.H. Sidebottom fan. She's a hell of a storyteller because she's not afraid to take risks in her writing; she's not afraid to cross boundaries and take readers out of their comfort zones into pretty jacked up worlds and circumstances.
In her latest release, D.H. heads into an unfamiliar genre for her, erotic sci-fi. I love paranormal/fantasy reads, but it seems lately they have become a bit cookie cutterish...segueing from a pretty standard plot and then making small adjustments and tweaks that make it only a bit different from the norm. This is definitely not the case with Judgment 8. Elina's story is extremely original, which makes it a captivating read right out of the gate. The text still has Sidebottom's signature sexy and her well known twists and betrayals, but it also has so much more.
Subject Alpha. Project Judgment. Death and Destruction. Abnormal. Deviant.
These are familiar terms for Elina, the female lead in Subject 8. They have defined her existence since her creation, and she's sick and tired of being a lab rat in a deadly game that has too many players to keep track of. The abuse and torture that she's received at the hands of her mother has been her question her worth as a person - she seems to be nothing more than a test subject - any kind of love or comfort is not something that Elina truly understands because she is completely desensitized due to the mistreatment she's received by her mother and her mother's minions. When Elina finally finds a way to escape from Judgment Corporation, she feels like she might have a chance at a "normal" existence. Too bad things go from bad to worse when she finds herself in the club of another subject, Reid McCallum. A man who has his own agenda and will stop at nothing to complete it.
Reid has suffered an immense amount at the hands of the Judgment Corporation, and he's looking for payback, but how his feelings for Elina fit into the equation are unclear throughout much of the story, and as secrets are revealed and more lies and betrayals surface, Elina and Reid's relationship may implode and cause irreparable damage to Elina's heart and psyche the Judgment Corporation and her mother can be brought to their knees.
Judgment 8 is a crazy and unpredictable ride all the way until it ends. There are so many puzzle pieces for readers to try and figure out and a lot of the time, they just won't fit in the way we expect them to. Elina is a kickass heroine who is completely selfless even when she has every right to take care of her and her alone. Her body and mind may have been manipulated her entire life, but Elina at her core has never been disturbed because her soul is not easily programmed. I absolutely loved Reid, but he's also quite frustrating. I'm extremely interested to see how Sidebottom portrays him in book two after everything has been revealed.
If you're a fan of well written science fiction reads with a bit of spice as well, this book is definitely for you, and if you're a follower of D.H. Sidebottom, even though this text does veer away from her norm, it's text every bit as good as her other ones.
I definitely can't wait for more Elina and her electric personality;)

This was something else, it was different but in a great way., It was nothing like Dawn's other books. Once you read the first page or even the first chapter you get sucked into it and you don't want it to end nor do you want to stop reading it. It was that good. She did and amazing job with the novel. Things were different but fresh and new and you will grow to like love the characters. I was sucked into another world with this book which is great when reading books for the first time. I love Dawn's writing and I know for sure I will not stop reading her books that she writes. She is one of my favorite authors and I was not disappointed at all. I don't really read a whole lot of paranormal or sci-fi books but this books was wonderful. I can not wait for more in the future.

How have i only begun to know about D.H. Sidebottom and her writing? It is only in the last few months i have come across her work and seriously i have been missing out. This woman can write, be it by herself or with Ker Dukey when they collaborated. But anyhow i digress back to Judgement 8, this is a book filled to the brim with chemistry between the leads, they spark off each other. You could say literally and figurativly since they have both had their genetics played with. They have a connection that you would want with someone else and their banter is brilliant, i love characters with good conversation and these two have it. This is book 1 of 2 and i am on the edge of my seat for book 2, i was gripped from the start Elina is strong and compassionate she cares so much despite what has happened to herself. The twists and turns kept you hooked and on the edge of your eat as you could not guess what was going to happen next.D.H. Sidebottom i do not know why it took me so long to find your work, but i will be reading anything you publish from now on, as everything i have read so far has been brilliant

I'm a big fan of D H Sidebottom's work but I was a little dubious about this book as I am not a big fan of sci- fi thriller but anything this lady writes is just amazing and this was no exception. I couldn't put this down. This is about Elina who has been bought up in Judgement 8 and all her life she has been experimented on, tortured and abused with the blessing of her Mother. I won't spoil the story but she meets Reid and the sexual chemistry between them is explosive. There is drama, angst, love, hate, fighting everything you could possibly want to keep you totally captivated until the very last page and then you want more. This is the first book in a 2 part series and for me I cannot wait for the second one. Another 5 star book from Dawn and although this subject is not typical of her work, it will blow your mind !!!

Woooowwww... I tell you you that I'm a die hard Dawn Sidebottom fan... I have to say I was a little leery on her new genre of writing. But smack me in the face because I should have know that she would never disappoint. The book was amazing. Honestly is was a refreshing new plot line that had the mystery, questions popping in your head about what the the hell the Judgement was..... Then there was Dawn's style of hot amazing pantie wetting sex scenes between Reid and El. But even though I HATE cliffhangers ths one I can wait for because it I know it's going to be amazeballs... She gives you just enough of a teaser just to know that your will be sucked in again as soon as you read the first page!!!! Kudos again to the amazing Dawn Sidebottom for another awesome read....

This is something totally different than we're used to by DH Sidebottom,When she said she was toying with something "different" I got that feeling at the pit of your stomach were you know it's going to be so good it's special well that Judgement 8 for me I loved it . Reid and Elina' s story gripped me from page one and I couldn't get enough. As we come to expect from DH we get HOT gripping story full of twists and turns , just when you think you have it all figured out BAM she throws you a curve ball and completely side tracks you. I find it extremely hard to describe just how good this is and how desperate I am for the next instalment of Reid and Elina' s journey.

I have recently discovered D H Sidebottom and so far...I am totally satisfied with what she produces! This book is no exception as I was taken to a new reading high as I was reading this book. This one is not the type of book that I would normally purchase but due to my liking of D H Sidebottoms writing style, I one clicked it. Once I opened the book to the first page, I couldn't stop... <3 The book explained very thoroughly how things happened. I never once found my self flipping back to see how or why this could have happened. D H Sidebottom, you are a one click author for me!! Thank you so much for writing such good, never the same, always full of energy books!

I absolutely loved this book, it was new & fresh & kept me gripped within it's pages from start to finish.
The story & plots were brilliant, I have gotten used to & enjoy D H's style of writing but she has gone above & beyond with Judgement 8!
The whole story flowed, which made for easy reading, you've ear get lost or feel you've missed something.
There were characters that I loved & others that I loathed to the point I wanted to jump into the pages & do them harm!!!
This is a series I will most definitely be getting lost in time & time again.
