I knew it was a risk venturing over to my new neighbor’s cabin during the storm.

After all, I barely knew him. All I’d learned from our chance meeting in the woods was that he was visiting the Adirondacks on a well-deserved vacation, he used to serve in the Army, and he was the most handsome man I’d ever seen.

The last part definitely made the whole knocking on a near-stranger’s door offering food and flashlights idea more appealing.

When he invited me inside, I nearly said no. But there was just something about Erik that told me I could trust him. That if I didn’t accept his offer, I’d end up regretting it.

Then four masked intruders stormed the cabin, with both of us in it. And nothing could have prepared me for what would come next.

I should have been able to defend myself from anything.

I used to be Special Forces, after all. Now, I work for one of the top private security companies in the country. But when Tatum’s life was threatened, I had no choice but to concede. To accept whatever was waiting for me after.

Waking up in the middle of the woods with an unconscious Tatum nearby wasn’t a promising start.

Finding out we’ve been dumped into the middle of a sinister game is even worse. A deadly game it’s clear we’re not supposed to survive.

But there’s no way I’m letting anything else happen to Tatum. I’m getting her out of here, no matter what it takes. And once we escape, I’m going to see her again. Because I’m not losing the first woman I could see a future with.

Guarded from Havoc has a wounded warrior hero, a brave and intelligent heroine, a team of former Green Berets, lots of action and danger, thrilling twists, forced proximity, and plenty of sweet and steamy moments. No cliffhangers and a happily-ever-after guaranteed! (Can be read as a standalone!)

Really liked this one!

Tatum & Erik start the book kidnapped and put inside a forest full of booby traps. This adds an element of suspense and excitement that keeps the book’s momentum fast. I really loved the first half of the book. There’s danger, suspense and a blossoming romance.

The romance is a slow burn that feels earned. These two had a crush on each other since they met on a hike a few days before the main events. Tatum is so cute and sweet. I really liked her and how she kept checking Erik out even though they were in a dangerous situation (would be most of us be real 😂). I also loved how protective Erik was. He always had her stand behind him when danger was near *swoon* I enjoyed watching these two bond and seeing it grow into something more. Their first kiss was so good! Plus the steamy scenes were great, especially the shower one.

I thought the plot was unique and different for a romantic suspense book. The beginning is fast paced and kept my attention. I did feel this lost a bit of momentum towards the end but we ended with an HEA so alls good.

I did not realize this was the last book in the series when I picked this up so I would say this can be read as a standalone. Would recommend if you enjoy romantic suspense book, slow burn romance and found family.

⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶🌶 1/2

With echoes of The Most Dangerous Game, this offers a throughly gripping first act as our couple (Erik and Tatum) gets abducted and stranded together as they're hunted. Tatum is our ex Army man and has a special set of skills thankfully and protects Tatum with conviction and fortitude.

I really liked how these strangers become lovers in a fast paced story. It's an easy and quick read but keeps a sprinting pace with the suspense and romance. When they wonder who could've done this to them, I do think Tatum's thoughts on who it may be should've come to her sooner as it seemed a given to be a possibility.

I would've liked a slower burn and just a little less him constantly needing to reassure her but he was very sympathetic and kind. I melted with how respectful and attune to her feelings he was (he understood the possible trauma response since he has PTSD of his own.) The found family team was very strong.

I wanted to see more of his PTSD...we focus mostly on Tatum and maybe a bit too much "glove handling " with her. He's also always apologizing for not protecting her when he clearly always is. Everyone is always checking if she's OK, asking if she's all right, stopping questioning of her...she says she's fine so just let her be. I also feel the third act fell a bit flat to me and flew by fast. Things overall didn't dive as deep as i generally like to see and there were some plot questions I had but this is meant to be a brisk read.

It feels like an entertaining 90 min action movie with romance via trauma bonding and a nice low stakes fast burn read.

The finale to Bravo Team kicks off with edge-of-your-seat terror and danger. Erik and Tate’s meeting is unexpectedly sweet, but just when you anticipate a quiet romance, chaos strikes and pulls you into a whirlwind of suspense. The obstacles they face are immense, yet watching Erik rise as a true warrior is nothing short of powerful. The gentle, heartfelt development of their love is simply beautiful. And the unwavering support and love from the B & A family wraps around you, warming your heart and drawing you deeper into their world. A fantastic conclusion.

With Guarded from Havoc Gia closes this wonderful series with a bang. At moments quite literally! Right from the start we get thrown into action which had me glued to the pages wanting to know how things would end.

After a bad break-up with a boyfriend who turned her life and work into hell, Tatum moved away and found a new job as a property manager in the Adirondacks. One of the perks of the jobs is the nice cabin that comes with it where she can live in peace and quiet. She takes care of the other vacation cabins, makes sure the guests feel welcome and have everything they need.

One of those guests is Erik who’s part of the Blade & Arrow Bravo Team. He wanted some time away and rented a cabin in the woods for some downtime. Erik is a former Green Beret who suffered a TBI which made him have to give up his career but thanks to B&A he feels part of a team again.

Tatum and Erik feel an instant connection and when both get attacked, drugged, kidnapped and left in the woods, this only intensifies. Having to fight for their lives while trying to escape deadly traps, means they have to depend on each other. Barely escaping they set out to find out who’s behind this sick game. Together with the help of the B&A Team they go on the hunt.

This was a wonderful story, we get lots of twists and turns, there’s practically non stop action intermixed with sweet and swoon worthy moments between Tatum and Erik who’ve grown terribly close during their ordeal.

I loved how the team jumped in to rescue and help Erik, fight for him and immediately also made Tatum feel as one of the family.

Sadly this was the last book in this series. If you’re into lots of action, sweet romance, overprotective ex-military men and sassy women, then this is definitely the book for you!

I am lucky to be one of Gia’s beta readers, so I’d like to thank the author by leaving this voluntary review.

Guarded from Havoc is the sixth book in the Blade and Arrow Security Bravo Team series. This book is a masterful blend of action, romance, and mystery. It is fast-paced and addictive, with unexpected twists that keep the readers engaged. The story also conveys heartwarming moments, danger, tension, and emotional turmoil. Guarded from Havoc is a captivating novel with complex characters, a richly detailed setting and the supporting cast adding depth and humor to the story, making it an entertaining and enjoyable read.

Tatum is looking for a fresh start after a toxic breakup/relationship when she meets Erik, a former Green Beret working for Blade and Arrow Security Bravo Team. His Army background made her feel more at ease. Erik thought that, as a former Special Forces operative working for a top private security company, he was well prepared and trained for every situation. But nothing prepared them for the intruders who stormed into his cabin. They became a part of a sinister game and were never meant to survive. Erik and Tatum need to trust each other and work together to save themselves. Erik vowed to keep her safe and protect her. I appreciate how their personal growth was explored. Both are stubborn, strong-willed, independent, complex - layered. Their connection was effortless, their chemistry off the charts. Erik and Tatum emerge as partners in crime in solving the intricate mystery, working as a team, embracing vulnerability and finding a unique connection.

I absolutely loved this book and the way the two main characters grew to love each other and built trust. It is well-written, enjoyable and a fantastic conclusion to this series.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

I am enjoying reading the Blade & Arrow series and learning so much about the teams. This one is about Erik he is taking a needed break from everything in a remote cabin. Tatum is looking for a new start isolated area taking care of cabins. Tatum decides to introduce herself to the new renter next door when all heck broke loose when there was an invasion and both woke up in the woods. Erik and Tatum are now in a fight for their lives.

The team was able to rescue Erik and Tatum now the question is who took them and why. Tatum showed how strong she was while in the woods with Erik. Erik was determined to keep her safe making sure she was protected at all times. I absolutely love this team and Erik and Tatum. They all work together well and the team make Tatum feel like part of the family. I enjoyed seeing Erik and Tatum grow from strangers into their relationship. Both are stubborn and so independent but the way their relationship evolves is incredible. Erik was amazing the way he was with Tatum protecting her, understanding what she was dealing with in her mind after seeing everything she did. I loved seeing Tatum open herself up to Erik and the others.

This book had me hooked from the moment the intruders came into the cabin until the end. There was so much action, intensity, and suspense. I was turning these pages wanting to know what was going to happen next, why things were happening, and who was behind everything all at the same time seeing this love story play out. Well done Gia Cobie Well done.

The Bravo Team ending starts with tension, danger, and dread. The instant Erik and Tate encounter each other is unexpectedly charming, but just when you expect a serene romance, chaos erupts, pulling you into a thrilling whirlwind. Regardless of the significant obstacles they face, it is profoundly inspiring to witness Erik rise as a genuine fighter. The gentle, heartfelt development of their love is truly wonderful.

Erik is enjoying a well-deserved break at a remote cabin. To manage cabins, Tatum is looking for a new, secluded spot. After they both awakened in the forest and turmoil erupted from an invasion, Tatum chose to introduce herself to the new neighbor next door. Tatum and Erik are presently battling to survive.

Erik and Tatum connect instantly, and their relationship deepens after they are both assaulted, drugged, kidnapped, and left in the woods. They need to depend on each other as they fight for survival while trying to evade deadly traps. They venture out to uncover who is behind this cruel game, narrowly escaping. They embarked on the journey with help from the B&A Team.

This was an incredible story filled with numerous twists and nearly continuous action, blended with touching and warm moments between Tatum and Erik, who had forged a strong bond during their adventure.

The writer skillfully maintains an engaging and swift narrative from beginning to end, and I truly appreciated the blend of romance and tension. It made you crave additional content and is hard to set aside. Taking everything into account, this is an excellent method to wrap up an impressive series.

**Great Suspense Romance**

*Guarded from Havoc* is the sixth book in the Blade and Arrow Security Bravo Team series, and it provides a fantastic conclusion to the series. Tatum is the manager of vacation cabins, seeking a fresh start after a difficult breakup with her ex-boyfriend, who was toxic to her. During her journey, she meets Erik, a former Green Beret who works with B&A. He is taking a short vacation and has rented a cabin for some downtime. However, things take a dramatic turn when they are attacked by masked men, kidnapped, and drugged, ultimately waking up in an unknown location. They must fight their way out and seek help.

The story is well-written, and the characters are instantly likable, featuring a protective hero and an independent heroine. Even though it’s the last book in the series, it reads easily as a standalone, allowing new readers to enjoy it while still providing glimpses of beloved interconnected characters from previous books. The slow burn from strangers to lovers creates undeniable chemistry, and when they finally give in to their feelings, the tension is palpable.

I loved the suspense and romance; the author does a fantastic job of keeping the story fast-paced and engaging from the first page to the last. It’s hard to put down and leaves you wanting more. Overall, this is an excellent way to wrap up a great series.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Guarded from Havoc was a thrilling story that sees Tatum and Erik thrown into a Dark Web Hunger Games type of arena where they are being watched and there are dangerous traps set to spring if they take a wrong step. However, I was very disappointed at how little of the story actually takes place in that situation. What I thought would be a key setting was only a very small part of the story. The rest is focused on Erik and his team trying to figure out who is behind the Dark Web game and who was the actual focus of the abduction. Was it him? Was it Tatum? Was it the company he works for that made them a target? Or, was there someone in Tatum's past out to get her?
This was a very fast paced story that started off with action right from the start. In fact, even outside of the arena once they are rescued there is danger and suspense that was unexpected.
One other thing that I struggled with was the writing in general. I felt that the writing was too much at times. Way too often Tatum's internal monologue would be rambling on and I found myself skimming the pages because I couldn't really connect with her. Also, if I read the line "full stop" one more time I was tempted to stop reading. I did love Erik and all of the other characters I got to meet from the Blade and Arrow team. If you love a suspenseful storyline you will want to give this book a shot.

I love how this book starts off with Tatum going to Erik’s cabin—it sets a peaceful, almost romantic tone with her baking, which makes the sudden kidnapping even more intense. 📖 That sharp twist pulled me in right away, and from that moment on, I couldn’t stop turning the pages. The pacing was perfect just when I thought I had a grip on what was happening, Gia threw in another twist that completely changed everything.

Erik was such a standout character. The way he constantly looked out for Tatum, protected her, and never gave up on her made me fall for him right along with her. Their chemistry felt so real, and I loved how their romance developed in the middle of all the chaos. It gave me action movie vibes in the best possible way—explosions, danger, emotional moments, and still the kind of deep connection you root for.

What I really appreciated was how balanced everything felt. There was high-stakes suspense, heart-pounding action, emotional depth, and swoon-worthy romance all woven together seamlessly. Gia knows how to craft a story that keeps you hooked and emotionally invested until the very last page. This book had me holding my breath, tearing up, smiling, and sometimes doing all three at once!

If you’re looking for a romantic suspense that keeps you guessing and gives you all the feels, this book is a must-read. Gia nailed it again, and I already can’t wait for her next release!

Tatum knows that there are a few new tenants showing up the next day for the rental houses that she manages and she usually gives them a good clean beforehand. The perk of free housing in one of them was awesome. Her life was crazy before she took the job and moved there. A few days ago, she met a man that was staying there for a mini vacay, Erik. Tatum hasn’t stopped thinking about Erik since she met him. Due to a storm, the electricity goes out, and she grabs a few things to take over to Erik to make sure he is okay. But, she has the bad luck to be kidnapped with him. Things get exciting and terrifying from there on out. I needed the AC on because I was sweating from fear for most of the book and chewed on my lip & nails. Erik & Tatum are sweet together and learning more about their pasts broke my heart and made me love them more. Thank goodness for the ring that all of the Bravo Team members wear and he used it to call for backup. I couldn’t put the book down and read it quickly. I cursed a lot during the book. Erik & Tatum are also romantic and steamy when they finally fall for each other. So much happens in the book! Plus, it answers a few questions that I had from the previous ones. We also get to see some of the Alpha Team as well. There were a few parts where I cried and few where I ranted angrily and saw red. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

A demented game leads a soldier to love

Erik is the last of the Blade and Arrow Bravo Team guys to be single. He believes he is too broken, too damaged to fall in love. He is the quiet one, the gentle giant who can be deadly in a flash to protect his team and their women. He practices yoga and he gardens. And he can take down bad guys in seconds.

On vacation in the Adirondacks, he meets Tatum. She has left her old life to manage the vacation cabins Erik is staying at. One night she gets up the nerve to go over to Erik’s cabin and bring him food. It is storming, and as they are talking they are attacked.

Not going to give spoilers, because Gia has totally outdone herself with this one. Old enemies play a part and we get to see all our friends from B&A Sleepy Hollow, and Green Mountain Guardians, as well as Erik’s old army team. And some of our Texas friends from the Alpha protector world.

The journey Erik and Tatum must take to get to their HEA is a long one, with twists, turns and surprises. Battling PTSD, insecurities and flashbacks Eric and Tatum discover they have a strength that is only made stronger when they have each other. This story wraps up the Bravo Team’s series. And I am sad to see them go. But I know we will see them again.

Gia Cobie is one of my one-click pre order favorites. And she certainly did not disappoint with Erik and Tatum. 15/10 recommend. Get it. Read it. Love it!

Captivating read, great plot and characters that are wonderful balance to each other
Tatums responsibility is the renting and caring for the cabins which she takes very seriously, ensuring that every thing is working and ready for the next inhabitant of the cabin, the leaser only having to arrive on the right day, time and cabin and then they should have a happy stay for their duration.
Eric is the new tenant of the cabin and this happens to be the cabin that is closest to her own home, when there is a sudden thunderstorm that actually take out all the power so she decides to take some supplies to his cabin so that he was able to have dinner.
Unfortunately, Tatum has made her choice wanting to be kind, also a good host but when she arrives at the cottage, she discovers him being accosted by four unknown males, then all she remembers is waking in a strange place and the only person she has any recognition of is Eric who has also been unconscious and tied up.
I will not spoil you read and I definitely will not spoil the plot for other readers but as with all the previous books in this series the authors plots are simply fantastic and I guarantee that you will be unable to put it down until you discover the outcome.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

And just like that the Bravo team series is ended. And oh Boy! What a wonderful story to end it on!
I have to be honest; I was intrigued by Erik from the very start of the series, and this book surpassed my hopes for his story. Tatum proved to be a great match for him too!
As ever with a Gia Cobie book, we are straight in with the emptions and action of the protagonists. We have hints of their dream, fears and feelings. And then.
Wham! Straight into havoc!
It starts with a serious storm, a power outage and Tatum delivering necessities to Eric. And out of nowhere, there is a home invasion, and they are both abducted and dropped into who knows what.
But all of Blade and Arrow have the tech, expertise and skills to rescue them. But still, there’s a mystery and as they discover that’s afoot, the havoc just proves even more diabolical and convoluted than anyone could imagine.

As Tatum and Erik navigate there way through the intrigue, they are forced together, and an immediate attraction soon grows into so much more. And with the B&A family around them they find a way through.

I loved this book, the emotions, danger and passion stayed with me for a good while after I had finished reading, and it not a surprise that Gia Cobie is firmly entrenched as one of my all time favourite authors.

A complete rush of danger and suspense, from the very first pages. Erik Rivers’ vacation in the Adirondacks, becomes the worst, then best gift of his life. The gift of the cabin in the woods, from a wife of his teammate at Blade & Arrow Bravo Team, was meant for him to relax and enjoy his time off. He meets Tatum Golding who is in charge of welcoming guests to the campground and there is an immediate spark of interest; he hopes to spend time with her. He had no idea that he would be spending days with her as they fight for their lives. Even with the training of a Green Beret, he was unable to defeat the four men who attacked him. They have no idea where they are when they awaken, in a wooded area, after being drugged. Able to contact his team with his tracker, he has no idea how long it may take for them to arrive. Neither one of them are prepared, even with his training, for the horror of the next days. She is still recovering, emotionally, from a terrible dating experience that disrupted her entire life. They soon realize that there are others in the woods, others who may not survive. Will his team arrive in time before they take that one wrong step? If they make it out alive, he will not rest until he hunts down the sick individual who delights in the tragedy of others. I think the blurb is a little off. I went into it thinking it would be mostly about them trying to survive, while falling in love of course, and then bringing the bad guys to justice. And it does happen, but not in proportions I expected. It was about 25% getting kidnapped, surviving, & then rescued. The next 50% or so was the guys working together to figure out who did it, helping Tatum come to terms with the experience, and falling for each other. The last bit was wrapping up their romance and everything that has happened & where their future is going. I enjoyed it but I think that there was a little disappointment over the limited action after that first bit.

Buuuut if I had gone into it with the proper expectations I think it would have hit even better. Because I like these two. Erik is sweet and caring, obviously loved by the guys on his team and their spouses, very capable in the field and eventually as a boyfriend. Tatum is amazingly strong, doing all the things to work through what she’s experienced, as well as being there to support Erik when he needs it.

Overall, Guarded From Havoc is a really enjoyable read but slower paced with less of the danger element that I expected. I just think that readers need to approach it as a slower paced romance and not the romantic suspense it originally comes across as.

(Part of a series but can be read as a stand alone.)

This book is great and I enjoyed reading it and I know you will too. If you are looking for action, sex scenes and love look no further, Guarded from Havoc is your book. Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think.

Tatum Golding was managing a group of cabins in the woods of the Adirondack's. She was trying to improve the cabins and make the renter feel right at home and want to come back in the future for another visit. Her new tenant was Erik Rivers and he was a real hunk. I loved watching him when he was chopping wood, with his shirt off and all of those muscles working together. I had first met him when I went for a walk in the woods and he was the most handsome man I have ever seen. Erik used to be in the Special Forces and now he worked for a top private security group.

I had ventured over during a storm just to make sure he was okay and to deliver a plate of cookies. I wanted to make sure he had everything he would need if the power went out for an extended period of time. Erik invited me in for coffee and knowing I could trust him I went inside. Then four masked intruders stormed the cabin and the next thing I knew Erik was trying to wake me up in the middle of the woods. What is going on? Where are we? Will we make it out of this predicament alive?

The book starts off strong with Tatum and Erik being abducted and left to fend for themselves in the woods. They are in danger, having to work together to survive traps and other deadly surprises.

The first 3rd of the book is fast-paced, exciting and suspenseful as the characters are caught up in the dangerous situation and their escape then rescue. Once they are rescued and back in Texas at the Blade and Arrow ranch things settle down to a much slower pace. The team is working on figuring out the who, what and why of the abduction while Tate and Erik get to know each other better. Their attraction simmers while their feelings get stronger. Tate meets the rest of the B & A team, the significant others and babies all of whom welcome her to their tight knit family.

This is an enjoyable read, but I found the second half of the book less exciting because the story shifts to more telling what’s happening in a narrative approach versus the reader feeling like you are experiencing the story. The author describes events and situations after they’ve occurred, but doesn’t let us see it take place in real time. I person enjoy more active storytelling.

If you’ve read other books in this series and a significant number of Susan Stoker’s Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes series you will know who most of the characters who are mentioned/introduced at the end of the book. If you’ve read other haven’t read many of these books it will be like going to a party and being introduced to a large group of people - not horrible, just a little confusing.

I received a free ARC from the author and The Author Agency; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.

This is my first Gia Cobie book and it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. This is apart of a bigger universe and book 6 of the series but can be read as a standalone I was able to follow along easily. Erik is on vacation where Tatum is the manager of the property. They already have somewhat of this connection but as they go through surviving the island after being kidnapped and the aftermath you watch their relationship grow. This does have high action from the beginning and will have you not wanting to put it down until you see what happens next. I loved how the romance didn’t overshadow the situation they were in. Amazing read definitely going to continue to follow the other characters get their HEA and hopefully have time to go back to the others.

Ah, that was so good!!!
The first 20% or so of the book was very intense with action and made me doubt whether the author could turn it into a good romance. And I proved myself wrong by doubting the author because what a good romance it was. I loved how smooth and rational the insta-love between Tatum and Erik was. As someone who doesn't mind instalove in the book, I loved it even more because while Erik and Tatum indeed had an instalove, they took time to care for each other's feelings. I loved how they communicated with each other openly.
There were so many characters mentioned from previous books in this series and other series written by the author, however, I didn't find it bothersome because for me this book could perfectly read as a standalone. Instead, I definitely would read the other books from this author because I can't help myself with good romantic suspense books and after reading Guarded From Havoc, I believe this author absolutely can deliver good romantic suspense stories.
Even though the earliest parts of this book were intense action-wise, overall the story was light and not so heavily overwhelmed with suspenseful parts.

Thank you to Gia Cobie and The Author Agency for the ARC.

"The loss of her smile is like a cloud shutting out the sun."

⭐⭐⭐

I'd like to preface this with the fact that I haven't read any of the previous instalments in this series, nor have I read any of the series this one may be referencing?

I really did enjoy the relationship between Erik and Tatum - I appreciated that they both communicated to one another and trusted each other unequivocally.

However, I was a little bit let down.

This was fan fiction; but it definitely didn't read like it. I was impressed with the writing and appreciated the depth of the characters.
However, I just went in with different expectations compared to what we got.

"It feels like I found a part of me I never realized was missing."

The final one falls!

Erik thought he would be single forever, call it fate or serendipity, but the moment he sees Tatum, he knows she is different. The moment he sees a gun to her head, he knows she is his and he will do everything in his power to protect her....forever. The challenge to that is getting off The Island, a playground for psychopaths and a nightmare for those targeted. You cannot begin to comprehend the type of mind that firstly, imagines a place like that, but to actually build it, put people in it and play "the game"....terrifying!
It throws Erik and Tate together in a life and death, live or die situation, that has them under pressure, and falling for each other even faster, as they work together to escape. I really like them together and Tate fits into the B & A family perfectly, she's strong but can be sympathetic, funny, sweet and supportive. She isn't put off by Erik's PTSD, nor does she see it as a weakness, she's understanding and accepting.
It's sad that this is the final book in the series, but we get great crossovers with GMG and of course Ms Stoker's heroes too! I hope we get books for their other GB friends too, especially Tyler - is he part of a new series?

Exciting start then it drags on and on.

I had high hopes for this one as I really liked Erik, but after a really exciting beginning, it dragged on and on. The plot was crazy as well. Tatum was a school teacher when a man who she dated starts to stalk her who she works with. As the police won’t do anything, she leaves her job and gets a job working in the middle of nowhere as a manager of holiday lets.

Erik is badly in need of a holiday and Lucy has bought him a week at one of the holiday let’s that Tate runs. When a bad storm knocks out the power in Erik’s cottage, Tate goes over to help him, and give him food. When masked men barge into the house and attack Erik they are both knocked unconscious. When they come round they are horrified to realise they are in a forest and part of a dangerous evil game.

That part of the book is really exciting but then afterwards it’s really boring and drags on and on. I’m also getting really fed up of the men denying their feelings for various stupid reasons. Some of the plot is ridiculous again, and yes it did spoil it.

One last complaint. The author should really explain who everyone is! I haven’t read the B&A series before this one and I’ve no clue who everyone is and it’s frigging confusing!

And thus, the Bravo Team series comes to an end… and what a way to go.

Erik has remained the stoic but kind member of the team throughout the books. Always quick to lend a hand, quiet, finding his way through an Army career ending injury and questioning his place on the team, to someone who’s more confident, but still stoic. And then he meets Tate 🥹 they have a little meet-cute on a hiking trail and then she brings him food in a blackout - just for them to to interrupted by gun-wielding assailants who drug and kidnap them, and take them to an island where they’re trapped with others trying to survive all of the traps hidden about. It sounds like a Criminal Minds episode!

Saying that, I also felt like this book was less about the suspense and more about the romance. The suspense part of it wraps up a little earlier than the other books do, to make way for some truly romance movie worthy moments as the series comes to a close. AND (and this is very important), there’s a bonus epilogue that can be downloaded that shouldn’t be missed. It’s absolutely perfect.

There’s a perfect little hint about the members of the next series as well, and it’s gonna be epic!

Thank you Gia Cobie for the ARC. This review is entirely honest and voluntary.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Gia is impeccable at pulling you in, grabbing hold of your heart, and holding tight until the very end.

When Tatum brings food to Erik after losing power, the night turns into one neither of them expected. Thrust into a deadly game of survival, they must defeat the odds and try to make it out alive. But the biggest question is who is the target and why?

As they are forced into close proximity, their chemistry (which was immediate), only intensifies and is the perfect build up to their slow burn. Tatum sees that she can trust Erik and he will protect her at all costs. Their strength and perseverance through everything was admirable and my heart ached for them both.

Tatum and Erik are the absolute sweetest and I was fully invested right from the beginning with these two. The twists and turns will have you on the edge of your seat and make it hard to put the book down! I’m sad to see this is the end of the series and this team, but Tatum and Erik were the perfect ones to close it out. ♥️

I appreciate the opportunity to have received an advance copy and my review is honest and voluntary.

I’ve really enjoyed this authors work. There’s just something about a little suspense and romance.
It’s storming one night and Tate decides to bring over some things that she thinks her neighbor may need to whether the storm. She gets over there and he invites her in and everything is going fine until out of nowhere four men, barging and things take a turn. Tate and Erik, both wake up disoriented and stranded in a forest. Neither know what is happening and have no one to trust but each other. As they are exploring their surroundings they come across deadly traps. They also discover they are not the only ones stranded there. They were fortunate to escape, but there were others that were not as lucky. Eric works for a security company, and he vows to find who would do something so cruel. While Eric and his team are looking to find who set up the traps they tell Tate they think it’s best for her to stay until the issue is resolved. During this time, Eric and Tate only grow closer. Neither had planned for a relationship, but they also couldn’t turn a blind eye to the way they felt for each other.

Eric and Tatum or Tate as she prefers to be called, were just meeting each other in his cabin when 4 armed men broke in and was able to subdue them. They woke up to an unknown location and found their way out. Luckily, they did and returned to Texas B & A to recuperate.

It was during this time that feelings for each other began to blossom and also got confusing. We have all been through it it’s the does she or doesn’t see or he said this does it mean more or less than I think it does? It’s funny how when you meet that special person the “oh I can be happy living by myself” goes out the window, down the block and is never seen again!

This book is a quick read as you just cannot put it down. Having read enough of Gia’s books I always know there is one or two more twists coming yet and I’m not quitting reading as it approaches the end of the book, because I want to find out what it is. I loved the book and the series. Sorry to see it s 6 of 6 as more stories with these characters would be good. Read in on a rainy summer weekend, you won’t be disappointed!

Erik is taking a much needed holiday in a cabin in the Adirondacks when a storm hits. Property manager Tatum stops by to drop off some supplies when his power goes out and next thing they know four masked, armed men storm the cabin, knocking them both out. When they wake up disoriented and with no idea where they are, they need to come up with a plan and quickly. When they discover they’re part of a sick and twisted game, they need to escape alive, so Erik and his team can take down whoever is behind it and so he and Tatum can see each other again. Because now he has found her, Erik doesn’t plan on ever letting her go.

These guys never disappoint and Erik delivered! What I wouldn’t do for that man!! This whole book was wild, I couldn’t put it down! I know I still have four books in this series and more connected books to circle back to and I’m glad! I can’t get enough of these men!!

This is an ARC review and all opinions are my own. Thank you to The Author Agency for the ARC copy of this book and for the opportunity to read and review it

I have a new favorite Blade and Arrow Security book!! Of course, I say that every time a new one comes out. This book is terrifying, to think that this kind of stuff can actually happen. Erik is on a well deserved vacation from his Blade & Arrow Security responsibilities when he meets Tatum. Tatum is the caretaker of the cabins that Erik is staying at and the attraction is almost immediate. Then they are kidnapped and wake up in the middle of a very sick game!! All this in the first chapter. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This book is full of action, deep emotions, terrifying twist and turns and of course steamy romance. I really have several favorite parts in this story. I love Tatum's alternatives to cussing, I might use some myself, lol. I loved how Erik was so vulnerable and shy about the garden and how Tatum reacted to that. Warning, when reading this book don't be surprised if you have a craving for fudge covered peanut-butter with chocolate chip cookies!! Excellent read from cover to cover!!

@giacobie is a go-to author for romantic suspense for me, and an automatic sign-up when I see available arcs, and I’m so happy I signed up for this one!

Guarded From Havoc is a forced proximity, romantic suspense between Tatum and Erik.

I loved how Tatum is always looking out for the people she loves, even when she’s the one experiencing the danger. She has a lot of healing to do, and I loved how she’s able to find a home with Erik and the other characters in this series, finding herself and who she can be again.

I loved Erik. He’s so protective in the best way, but he also wants Tatum to live her best life and is so eager to help her figure out what that could look like. He’s her biggest supporter and would do absolutely anything to make her happy. He has such a big heart, and there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for her.

Thank you so much to @giacobie and @theauthor.agency for my arc! I loved this book, and I can’t wait to see what Gia has in store for us next🥰
