An impossible thing

A miraculous thing

That shouldn't exist, yet I do."

"Shannon English's poetry gently caresses the soul and threads nature and mental health with the precision of a poetic surgeon." -Sierra Zounes, Sagittarius and Circuitous Life Lessons

"Shannon guides us on meandering paths, using questions for self-reflection [...] to quietly guide us to the impactful self-discoveries [...] She rejoins her body, proclaiming their survival." -Susan Niemi, Yoni Provenance

In her debut collection of poems, Shannon English lets the reader peek into her inner thoughts, fears, and hopes through the window of the page as if leaving a diary open for anyone to read. Though exploring challenging topics, English scatters affirmations throughout these accessible poems which allows for bite-sized digestion without a bitter aftertaste at the end of the book.

This is a beautiful collection of poems, organized in 5 categories from Pain to Belonging. English is able to put difficult emotions to paper and still have a collection that radiates joy. There is a little bit of everything in here, in the best way possible!
