Made Man Dante

Protecting her was like breathing, I didn't have a choice.

Dante: It was a simple job--watch this asshole and make sure he doesn’t get killed. Normally I was the one doing the killing, but this was for family and my family, the Gambinos, gave the orders. But then she rose like an angel out of the subway and changed my life. She awakened me, made me whole again, and erased the pain of my past. She’s in danger and I will do anything to keep her safe. Even if that means the one thing that will push her away forever--kill her brother.

Gia: I was a good girl, almost a nun. I spent my life doing what everyone else wanted, but then I met him. He’s a killer, a hitman, and my protector. While loving him could cost me my family, leaving him would cost me my life. But he’ll do anything for me and protect me at all costs, even if it means doing the one thing he vowed to never do--become a Mafia Boss.

Made Man Dante is a standalone novel. It is the novelized boxed set of the Made Man Trilogy serial--Soldier, Capo, and Boss.

I bought each of the three books comprising this box set individually. I was on pins and needles waiting for each book. Now you can get this box set and read it through at one great price. Dante is a Soldier for the Mob. Dante's father is the head of a mafia family. Dante does not want to be in the mob. He went into the military and trained as a sniper to get away from his family. He wants to be good man but finds himself being pulled into the family. He is sent on an assignment to kill a man who has cheated the mob.

Gia is innocent but not naive to the criminal world as she has family members who have acted outside of the law. Gia is in a convent as she wants to become a nun. When her mother dies Gia leaves the convent to attend the funeral. Gia's criminal brother uses her to try to settle his debts. Dante has been watching his target, and sees Gia with the target. Dante steps in to save this woman who he finds himself attracted to.

The book is absolutely fascinating and disturbing all at the same time. I found myself feeling compassion and understanding for Dante, even when he did things I found horrifying. How far will a man go to protect his family? And how far is too far? As the book progresses the story becomes more and more complex. Dante falls for Gia but more than his family wants Gia's brother dead. And if they cannot get the brother, they will get the family, Dante's family.

The characters are fascinating. Dante is doing the wrong things for the right reasons, and we see him getting getting harder and more ruthless as the book progresses. Gia is Dante's Angel and she loves Dante completely. But she seems to have blinders on regarding the ugliness of Mafia life. The story has some great twists and a dramatic ending. It was a real shocker to me! I did not see that coming! Absolutely a great, great book.

****4 Love me a Capo Stars****

Soldier, Capo, Boss. Three exciting, action filled books in one boxed set! This is my first Liliana Rhodes experience, but it won't be my last! I have been reading a lot of mafia books lately, and sometimes the plots can be very similar. Ms. Rhodes infuses originality in these stories. All three books are about the romance of Gia and Dante. There is everything a reader would want in a bad boy/good girl mafia book, intrigue, action, murder, heartbreak, steamy sex. I was enthralled from the very first chapter and didn't want it end by the last. The rollercoaster of emotions I was on was endless and I ended up with a book hangover! 1-click this terrific boxed set and prepare to be taken on an exciting journey!

I was so glad to read this all at once! I really liked the storyline. The overall story felt a bit choppy. To me it needed a bit more polish to flow better. I hope the storyline continues, I want to read about the whole family.

This was an okay read for me. Nothing too spectacular. Gia, who went away after high school to become a Nun, returns home when her Mother has passed away. She meets Dante Gambino, a soldier in the mafia. He falls for her, there's backstabbing, lying and betrayal. She falls for him, he then moves to being a Capo, and then when his father is murdered he becomes Boss. She stays by his side, knowing all there is to know about him and after "taking care" of the inside traitor and others to send a message, they get married and have their HEA. 2.5- 3ish stars.

Gia had went to the convent to get away. But when she came home when her mom died. Little was she expecting to fall in love with someone in the Mafia. Dante was watching over the house when Gia came home. It was love at first sight. This book is definitely a must read.

I read as separate parts so I'm going to share my review the same way ... loved this series!
Soldier: Gia has been hiding at the convent but has to return home when he mother dies. Her brother Terry ends up putting her in a dangerous situation but a dark knight appears to save her … Dante. She had only met Dante once and she had this incredible attraction to him, something she had never experienced before. Dante sees an angel appear from the subway and is drawn into Gia's vortex. He never expected to become her protector and rescuer. Can they find happiness among all the chaos their two families bring? I loved being pulled in the mob world with all the complexities of family relationships and loyalties … the chemistry and passion between Gia and Dante sucks you in giving you a great romance to root for.

Capo: Dante and Gia's world heats up as new threats emerge against Gia. Of course, outside forces are tough to deal with but it's really the inside ones that begin to tear apart their happiness. Gia is hiding secrets from her past and she is very afraid if Dante knows he won't love her anymore. Can Gia find the strength to reveal all and trust how Dante feels? Loved Gia showing her strength when faced with the demon from her past, I was very proud of her. Dante has to take on more family responsibilities and is fearful how Gia will react to his new role. Another exciting installment in their journey that keeps you guessing. Once again not a cliff hanger but we still have issues to resolve so bring on book 3!

Boss: WOW! What an amazing ride. I really never thought I would have a book boyfriend that is a Mafia boss so not really a good guy but I do now and Dante is incredible. Gia and Dante are planning their wedding while Dante is focusing on protecting Gia since a rival family has threatened her. To his shock and dismay someone does get to her while on his watch. From here the twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat. I won't say anymore since I don't want to give any of the great revelations away – grab a copy and find out! I truly loved being a part of Dante and Gia's world.

Soldier: A Mafia Romance (Made Man, #1)
When opposites attract sparks fly!

Dante is the strong silent type. He grew up in the "family" and has been a soldier all his life. When Gia's brother gets in over his head with a local gang of thugs Dante comes to her rescue, but in order to find love each must be willing to face some hard truths.

A well written and fast paced romance with action, humor, heartache and moments of pure tenderness that is sure to delight readers. It has a low heat level, and does contain a few tense scenes that depict mob related violence; not particularly graphic in nature, but may be disturbing to some readers.
Capo: A Mafia Romance (Made Man, #2)
This fast paced and well written sequel seamlessly picks up where book 1 left off. The continuing love story between Gia and Dante is captivating, and Liliana Rhodes adds layers of suspense and character development that make CAPO one of the best sequels I've read in a long time! With complex emotions and a full cast of intriguing supporting characters, this is a contemporary romance with a classic feel.

Caution: Contains non-explicit references to mob related violence and physical abuse that may be triggers for some readers.
Boss: A Mafia Romance (Made Man #3)
Boss takes Gia and Dante's story and delivers above and beyond my wildest expectations!

With emotional impact, high adventure, drama and sensuality, Liliana Rhodes' Mafia Romance series kept me on the edge of my seat from the very first story. I loved the complex character driven story line, unexpected twist and turns, full complement of supporting characters and exceptional writing quality.
If you love strong Alpha males and women who will do anything for their man, this series is the one you've been searching for!

Made Man is the boxed set trilogy of Soldier, Capo, and Boss, written by Liliana Rhodes. This book starts off with the death of Gia’s mom. While on her way to her mother’s house to help plan for the funeral she is spotted by Dante, one of the Gambino’s men, he instantly feels an attraction to Gia, but is content to just watch her from afar because he feels someone like him is not good enough for someone like her. Dante is a soldier for the Gambino’s family. Dante has done lots of things he is not proud of for this family, including what he does best kill. This is all he sees himself as, a trained killer, but Dante goes against his mafia upbringing and disobeys his Capo’s orders and keeps an eye out for Gia. It is during this time that he stops a break-in at her mother’s house where she is staying and saves her from the intruders. He promises to always protect her, because to him, her life is more important than his own. Will Gia stand by this killer that loves her more than his next breath? Will Dante be able to protect her from the dangerous mess that her brother leaves her in? Will he be able to shield her from the harsh reality of a life with a made man in the mafia?
I have to say that this is an amazing book! I read the whole trilogy in less than two days. I love the way Rhodes has made Dante the type of character that you just fall in love with so quickly. I was hooked within the first 30 pages and from that point on there was no putting this book down. Dante is the damages type, but with a heart filled with love for Gia, and he just can’t see the good in himself even though there is plenty of it there. He loves Gia fiercely, and will do anything for her. The love in this story is so heartfelt you can just feel it as you read. It also keeps you guess as to what is going to happen next because of all the mafia drama that is constant happening. Love this book! What an amazing romance with a twist! I would highly recommend this book to anyone!

I am giving this review for author Liliana Rhodes This is novella 1 of the Man Made book series by the author.

Gia is called home because her mother passes away but what she comes home to is not what she expected. Dante is a soldier for his father but when he takes an assignment he never thought he would fall in love.

This is a story with action, drama and romance. The characters interact really well from start to finish and the story line flow is great. No bumps in the road for the reader.

This is 1 novella that any romance book lover would want in their library.

I am giving this review for author Liliana Rhodes. This is novella 2 of her Man Made book series and it takes up where book 1 leaves off so it is best to read in order.

Gia is in love with Dante but because of everything that has gone on she is in danger from someone who wants her dead. Dante has moved up in ranks for the mafia but when his father is killed things do not go as he wanted because someone is also after Gia.

I really liked how the characters show depth in their interaction with others in this book. No flaws with the flow of the book and I have nothing bad to say.

This novella 2 of the series has action, drama and more romance in it then novella 1 and is a great read for any romance book lover.

I am giving this review for author Lillian Rhodes. This is part 3 of the Man Made novella series by the author.

Gia is trying to plan her wedding to Dante but with not being able to leave the house she is getting frustrated. Dante is still trying to find out who killed his father and now with the threat still against Gia he is doing whatever he can to try and keep her safe.

This story characters work so well together and you can even feel the tension between a few of them. The author has a very good flow in the story which I just love.

This is a mafia romance read and if you like stories like the Godfather then this is for you and your library.

This is an wonderful and riveting trilogy put into one book. Highly recommend to read.
Soldier: A Made Man 5 Star
Tail of love and death, family and betrayal
First book of the series and yet self contained with no cliff hanger. Sometimes less is more. So much said without having it said or written. I was happy to find out in the end who did the deed. (Can’t say more without it being a spoiler) A nice short Mob love story that also had love and betrayal in it. After reading this book a second time I realized all the things I missed the first time around.
Capo: A Made Man 5 Star
Love, Life and Death within a Mafia family
Death, Funerals, gathered family and old boyfriends along with attempted murder you get a lot packed in this book. Gia’s so confused she goes back to the only home she thinks she has left. While Dante is taking care of business and giving her space she thinks she needs. You could really grasp and relate to what Gia was feeling and thinking throughout the book. Some interesting truths from the past are reviled in this book about several characters. Dante finds out the hard way of why his father became the Don. Great story line, very well written and very entertaining to read. A good addition to the series and truly enjoyable to read.
Boss: A Made Man 5 Star
Engaging, Riveting, and action packed
Perfect ending to the trilogy. You have Love, Hate, Betrayal, and Jail, Weddings, Explosions and more Love in this fine book. Could not put down once started to read. While Gia’s trying to plan their wedding, Dante’s trying to secure his family’s safety. After Dante’s fathers murder he has to send a message to the other family’s that will stick and let them all know not to mess with him and his he loves.

3.5 stars - Opposites attract mafia romance with a HEA!

Dante was my first book by Liliana Rhodes and overall I enjoyed this mafia romance for something different.

Dante is the story of Dante and Gia who develops a sweet romance after an initial attraction. These two complete opposites end up in each others’ lives through difficult circumstances and Dante in typical alpha male feels the need to protect Gia. The book is told through dual perspectives, bar one chapter, allowing the reader to get a good understanding of both Dante’s and Gia’s true personalities. Dante and Gia were fairly likeable characters who continued to be developed as the book moves on.

Dante is a typical mob/mafia romance with plenty of action and tension that continues to unravel throughout the story. The book is steadily paced and well written. Personally, I found the ending a little lacklustre and wanted a bit more; that may be me being picky but when you read several books in a genre you want a book to be memorable. The other thing I would say is you do have to be paying full attention to detail to follow as things can get a little confusing at times with things not always made clear and lots going on. Dante can be read as a standalone read as there is a HEA which finishes Dante and Gia’s main story.

Overall, this isn’t a bad read and I would recommend it to fans of mafia romances.

This is a wonderful, interesting and intriguing book to read and I really enjoyed reading it. The story covers Dante Cambino the son of the Don and a soldier ordered to protect Terry Cupuzzo, while protecting him he sees Gianna (Gia) and now has his eyes firmly set on her. Gia has returned from the convent where she has been the last few years so that she can bury her mother. What you will find in this story is drama, intrigue, suspense, action, mafia, gangs, a hitman, a woman, funerals, a setup by a brother, a brothers betrayal, mafia-silent gang war, a father's shooting and later murder, abduction, rescued, information from Vic Cupuzzo, meetings, a proposal, acceptance, a body washing up, arrested, released, no case, a building being blown up, the journey of a soldier to Cupa and then being the Don, emotional feelings, love and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot of the book is well thought out and written, the pace is steady and not rushed. The characters have personality with emotional feelings of revenge, fear, needs and desires. I would recommend this book to people that like to read a well written mafia romance.

I really enjoyed reading this story. I haven't read a mafia hero story before so I wasn't too sure what to expect but I'm happy I tried it. Dante is a tortured anti-hero to be sure. It really makes you think about what you would do if you were born into a family like that. Nature or nurture? In spite of the things he does he has his own set of standards/morals. He isn't amoral by any means. How realistic this is to actual mafia families I have no idea but I do know that I was pulled into this story in a way that doesn't often happen. The first part of the story was my favorite and 5 stars. More if I could have given them. The second and third parts are much darker and I would say 4 or 4.5 stars as I just didn't get quite as wrapped up in them.

On the whole, this box set with all 3 stories is a great buy and I highly recommend it.

Gripping story!!!

I gave this a 5 star rating because this story has romance, death, true love, a handsome man and a sweet and understanding curvy woman.
Dante is in the mob, he is part of the biggest crime families in New York. he fell in love with Gia, a beautiful, sweet and understanding woman. The story is complex, always has something going on. I became invested in the characters. I cared about where they were headed and wanted them to succeed.
I have to admit I didn't know if I would like a story about the mafia, but I ended up being glued to my kindle I couldn't wait to see how it ended up.
I shouldn't have been surprised because Liliana Rhodes is an excellent writer and I have read a lot of her books and I am very happy with what she writes. You will be too. Take a chance on her books you will love them!

This series was a roller coaster ride from start to finish. Dante saw and wanted Gia from the beginning and nothing was going to stand in the way of their love and he was willing to do anything to protect her. Gia started out as a little shy and innocent but by the end she is just as strong as Dante. They are a perfect match and believe in protecting each other and those in their family. This book is not only about the mafia but about people willing to do anything for love. This is a very touching book, but it also has some very steamy love scenes. I originally read this series when it was broken up into a trilogy and feel in love with it. Can't wait for Liliana to release the next book about this family.

This is one heck of a series and one of my favorites. Both a great love story and a violent, mafia family book. We watch as Dante goes from a soldier (enforcer) for his family, to the final book, where he is the Boss. Dante's love, Gia, as the story begins is fresh from a convent and steps into her life as first the love interest and then the wife of a mafia leader. She accepts him, knowing he will do what he has to do to keep her and his family safe. This is a great read for anyone truly loving a love story, or anyone loving a mafia story. I love both and adore this series,. Great character development and regardless of how violent Dante becomes, you cannot help but be on his side. A truly excellent read.

I love Mafia romances. This is the first one I have read from Liliana Thodes and I was very impressed with it. Gia and Dante were terrific characters and I loved all the interaction between them. The story itself was very fast moving and full of typical Mafia violence and intrigue. I thought Gia got to be quite a strong character who knew what she wanted and usually got her way. Dante was a bit more nysterious at times and I wondered what he was up to. The only bit I queried came near the end but of course, I cannot tell you anything about that.

I will be sure to continue to check out and putchase more of Lilliana's stories. I was thoroughly entertained and happy that I bought this book. Highly recommended.

I had read Soldier individually and had found the story a little tamed for a mob story but the second and third book were more fast paced, detailed, suspenseful and intriguing. The story had violence but not too much. There was some sex content, very little for my taste and Dante and Gia’s back ground, but still there was sex. Some of the questions that I had with Soldier were answered, the characters and their interaction were more defined and even a secondary character, Sonny, was interesting, intrigued me and the author made him worthy of his own story. Liked how the author portrayed Dante’s character and the development of the story with some twists that suggested there could be more stories. Good that I got the entire trilogy because I enjoyed reading all the story without stopping.

They are good books, great books, amazing books and downright have to read books well Dante is all of the above.

My first read of Liliana and mighty impressed. It’s a gripping Mafia romance book with lovable character easy to empathise with as they all have demons they are trying to run away from but destiny has already dealt its hand and they just have to find a away to make it work.

Brilliant love story that will have you engrossed in it that you don’t want to put it down as the twists are thrilling. Just glad that I got to read the whole book set at once as cliff hanger leave me in limbo until the next is available.

Cant wait to read about Sonny.

Highly recommend it.

Gia & Dante. Great mafia romance with a bit of a mystery twist. One of things I really like about this genre is the mafia loyalty. Enjoyed reading how this couple work out their relationship with one another as well as within the mafia family. Dante is totally smitten although he knows he's not good enough for her, he can't walk away from her. Gia has family issues of her own & hiding out at the convent doesn't solve them, she's drawn to Dante so she has to grow up fast and open up to accept the love of a "killer." Dante is so patient, romantic & loving as he protects his angel.

This boxed set is about Dante and Gia's romance. It's full of action, drama with some twists and hot steamy romance. I was hooked from the beginning. Dante is hot and sexy and trained to be a killer. Dante is willing to do anything to protect his family. Gia is sweet and innocent but a force to reckon with. The attraction is strong and the chemistry is hot. Can Gia love a "killer"? Can Dante protect Gia from danger? Can Dante step up and be the boss? I really enjoyed this book. You will not be disappointed. Received copy for honest review.

Dante and Gia's story, of how Dante did what he needed to do to keep his woman safe. The pace of the book was steady with lots going on at one time. Many layers of intrigue as you usually find with Mafia books. Gia is an innocent but learns and hears enough to be aware of what she is getting herself n for but it happens to both of the. The immediate knowledge that the other is there to save them in a real way. Thru everything that occurs both in the family and in those connected the webs of deceit are plentiful and emotional. The characters are strong and memorable and a great read.

Compelling Read !!!

I fell in love with this book. The author has a very unique writing style that it is deeply compelling. This was my first time reading a novel about the Mafia and I found the story and the characters interesting and intriguing. True love does conquer all, even a mob boss when he falls in love with his very own angel! So realistic, romantic and dreamy.....sigh.....

I will definitely be reading everything that is out out! One of my favorite things about this box set is that the lead female wasn't the typical woman that is usually in romance books. I love that Gia was more on the curvy side.
