Abigail picks up where she left off in Abigail and the Jungle Adventure. She is at her grandparents house again and sneaks back up the attic for another journey on the magical bike that is sure to be as exciting as the last one! She gets lost in a picture of some Sahara desert dunes inside a book and before she knows it the journey has started. She runs into some people during the journey and is able to help them in ways that probably not very many people think a little girl can.

I love reading about Abigail’s adventures! She ran into some interesting people and situations during this journey. Abigail was an outsider who they accepted as she passed through, maybe because of her acts of kindness. I believe this book will do a good job of educating children about what an oasis is. The illustrations showed me how sweet and fun loving Abigail was and how warm and friendly the people Abigail met on her journey were.

This is another great children’s series by Tali Carmi! I think children ages 2-8 will be excited to travel with Abigail on this journey.

Abigail takes a ride on her magical bike to the desert and finds some great new friends!
This is a great book for the beginners! The illustrations are very bright and colorful and I believe that it will completely keep your little reader engaged!
It opens up the imagination and helps children to understand there are different lifestyles for others.
I like how it's short enough that a child will not get overwhelmed and the pictures on the pages are bright and go along well with the story!
I recommend this read for any young child!

Another Abigail book! Abigail finds a magical bicycle in her grandparents' old house, and this time, the bicycle takes her to the magnificent Sahara Desert. As Abigail explores the Sahara desert, the readers are introduced to many great ideas and lessons.

The first thing I loved about this book, was how it introduced kids to the Sahara Desert! To many kids, this would be a new place and concept to learn about and I loved how seamlessly the kids are taught about new places in these stories! The stories are fun AND educational and it is done very well!

The illustrations are well done and very bright. They help to engage the younger readers (listeners) and add more dimension to the new places that they are learning about!

Overall, the story is cute and educational and I would definitely recommend this book for young children!

Since we first started reading this series of books, my daughter has always loved them, constantly asking when we’re getting the next one for her bedtime story. Well, we received ‘Abigail and the Sahara Adventure’ one day, read it that night, and now we’re once again looking forward to the next one

Probably my favorite thing about Tali Carmi’s books is how they make the adventure fun for very small children, yet they don’t dumb it down to the extreme. There is plenty of diversity in her books, and just enough to make my daughter want to learn more as she gets older.

The best thing about this book is how my daughter smiles and claps at the end, wanting to read it again. Keep on writing, Tali! We love your books!

Abigail and the Sahara Adventure by Tali Carmi, is a very sweet and cute book for children or beginner readers. Abigail takes her magical bicycle on a wild adventure to the Sahara. You can discover Abigail's journey along the way when she meets a new friend and her adventure begins! Both my nephews and daughter loved the illustrations as the colors were very bright and fun, and this book does a wonderful job of educating children about other cultures. Children ages 2-8 would enjoy and be excited to take this journey with Abigail and her magical bicycle.

All 4 of my kiddos enjoyed this book! They are 10, 9 , 7 , & 5. They loved the magic bike. Now they pretend they have magic bikes and go on magical adventures when they are outside playing. It is a quick read so it is a great bedtime story. However, it was also good enough to be a beginning reader for my older ones to read alone. We all enjoyed the theme of friendship as well as the fact that it brought up the issues of water purity and access and opened the doors for a discussion and research on the Sahara.

Very cute book

My three year old son and I read this book together and we both really liked it. We have also read the jungle adventure. This book is written well and the pictures are wonderful. This book is short but interesting. We are excited to read about more adventures with Abigail. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest unbiased review. This has not influenced my opinions on the book. I have reviewed this book as a parent of three and think this is a great series for young kids. My seven year old likes these books a too.

Another great e-book from Tali Carmi about Abigail and her adventures on the bicycle from her grandparents' attic! This time, Abigail took the bicycle out of the attic and spoke the words that took her to the Sahara desert! She met a little girl from the area and was able to help her! It was also a learning experience for Abigail about the Sahara and how people live there. It was cute and very interesting! Can't wait to read it to a young niece one of these days!

Abigail continues her adventures on a magic bike to the Sahara Desert. Like other stories in the series, Abigail’s adventure exposes her to other cultures. While it shows how children can help one another, it also encourages some dishonestly in her relationship with her grandparents.
I was randomly chosen through a LibraryThing Giveaway to receive this book free from the author. Although encouraged, I was under no obligation to write a review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

“Mom, what’s the Sahara?”
“It’s a really large desert.”
“Mom, what’s a desert?”
“Let’s read the book and see…”

And that is how we started the book “Abigail and the Sahara Adventure”, with a list of questions. My daughter was full excited to learn all about the Sahara.

In this book we are reunited with our friend Abigail. We last met her in “Abigail and the Jungle Adventure”, where she found a magical bicycle that will transport her any location she wishes. In “Abigail and the Sahara Adventure”, Abigail is excited to be visiting her grandparent. She can’t wait to finish her supper so that she can check to see if the magical bicycle is still there. Finding the bicycle still in the attic Abigail finds her travel book and chooses her destination, saying the magic words she finds herself flying over the Sahara desert. We follow Abigail as she learns about life in the desert.

The story is geared towards children between the ages of 2-8 and gives them a basic understanding of life in the desert. When Abigail meets a little girl in the desert carrying a pot on her head, my daughter realized that living in the desert is a lot of hard work. We talked about how we are lucky to having running water, while in other parts of the world people have to work hard just for the basics in life, like water. The book also answered her question about what a desert is and also taught her about an oasis.

The illustrations are bright and colourful. We spent some time looking at them and this is where we really learned about life in the desert. My daughter was fascinated to learn that some people live in tents and ride camels.

“Abigail and the Sahara Adventure” is a great bedtime story for younger children. It not only tells of life in the desert it also teaches your little one about the value of friendship and kindness.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

This is my first experience with the Abigail series by Tali Carmi and I don't know how I never found her books sooner. The Abigail series is a fun and easy read for adults and an exciting read for little who are beginning to read. My daughter is almost 5 and loves to have stories read to her. Abigail and the Sahara Adventure was given a thumbs up from here. She loved it. The illustrations are artistic, colorful and engaging. We especially enjoyed that her Grandparents were included in the story.

Abigail and the Sahara Adventure is about Abigail visiting her grandparents. Her grandfather invented a magical bike that will take you anywhere if you say the magic words "Take me there. let me see, show me where I want to be!" During Abigail's visit she sneaks away to the bike and looks through the magical book to find her next magical adventure. As she was flipping through the book she came across the most beautiful picture of the Sahara desert and decided that was where she want to go. So she said the magic words and off she went on the magical bike.

I don't want to spoil the story so I'm not going to give anymore details. But through Abigail's adventure she gets to meet people of different cultures, helps other people and then returns home to her grandparents by saying the magical words once more. My daughter really enjoyed the story and now she wants a magical bike to go off on her own adventures.

Abigail has a secret; there's a magic bike in her grandparent's attic and it takes her to exciting places!

What child would not want to go anywhere just by getting on their bike and saying the magic words: "Take me there, let me see, show me where I want to be." Those are the words Abigail uses to take her on an adventure to the Sahara Desert. While there she makes a new friend who has a problem.

Abigail and the Sahara Adventure is a perfect book to read to your preschooler, or help your beginning reader to practice and exhibit their new skills. Your child will learn a few customs of the people living in the desert and reveal how different our lives are compared to theirs. And Abigail will give you an opportunity to share with your child that true friends will help each other when they have a problem.

I enjoyed this book and can't wait to see how much of it my kindergarten granddaughter can read. Then I will grab the chance to talk to her about friendship and being a good friend, just like I recommended for you to do!

have been sick with walking pneumonia and my middle son Isaiah wanted to read to mommy while she was sick and snuggled at my feet with the tablet. We read through the Jungle book as well as this Saharar book. This one was unique to the others because I felt it stressed more on family values. To Isaiah it meant he spent more time with mom expressing his ability to read and speak. Wit his speech problems this boo! He sailed through reading and describing every page with enjoyment and understanding. To !e it is almost a miracle that he has progressed so much since reading this series and this book Sahara Adventure proved his learning. I didn't even have to read it to him him first. He just picked it up and started reading on his own. He recalled Abigail his sissy or in his words "baby" to relate it to his younger sister Mikaela. He read it then explained how much enjoyment it gave him and then read it 50 times more.

I highly recommend these books for those who have children who has speech development delays or expressive delays because these books will bring the best of your child.

Abigail and the Sahara Adventure by Tali Carmi is another great book featuring a red headed little girl who finds a magical bike and visits real places with just a few simple words. Abagail's grand father was a scientist and an inventor, he created a magical bike and a book that can take you anywhere within the pages.

Abigail is a very knowledgeable child who is an observant problem solver. As she flies through the sky she sees a few oasis and lands near a girl walking to a well. When they find out the well is dry Abigail starts to relay what she has seen from above and is asked to speak to the Tribe leader.

I enjoyed this book very much, just as much as the other Abigail Adventures. I like Abagail's personality and how she collects souvenirs from her journeys. I admire Abigail for being such an intelligent young girl who loves to learn and is so social-able. I recommend this book for children 5 to 9 year. It is marked down as an early and beginner reader. It has 26 pages of bright expressive illustrations is a good read aloud and it can simply be turned into a conversation.

Having 2 kids of age 8 month to 6 years, I am always on a look out for new books to read them at bed time. Teeth (if you have them) are brushed, faces washed, bath taken, jammies on and then comes the cuddle time with a good book.

We have lots of books, but whether you like the fact of not, there are some favorites and others are not so much. So adding new ones is always fun. This book was another addition to our iPad collection. It is an adventure of a little adventurous girl Abigail who, found a magical bicycle at her grandparents house. And it takes her to Sahara Desert by chanting the magical words "Take me there, let me see, show me where I want to be!". There she meets little girl Jasmine and her family. This book is written in a very easy to understand manner and my 6 years old loved it, while my 8 month old loved to flip digital pages and look at the colorful images. This book is just the perfect length to keep little one's attention and boost their imagination and development.
It would be a great addition to any child's library.

Abigali and the Sahara Adventure is the 2nd book of the Abigail series written by Author Tali Carmi. But I got to read the book after the 1st and 3rd book. Like the other stories here too Abigail goes for an adventure on her magical bike. This time she goes to the Sahara desert and makes a new friend Jasmine. Abigail sees Jasmine carrying a pot of water on her head and she becomes curious. Abigail asked her about it and got to know that like us people in the desert do not get running water in their home. She also learns about what is an Oasis and was offered to stay for dinner with Jasmine’s family but she returns home, just in time, for dinner.
As with the other books the pictures are really cute and bright, which captivated most of my toddler’s attention. I felt that this book missed a little on the adventure part like the other books. Abigail did learn a few things but there could have been more to learn about a totally new place and culture.

I am honored to review another wonderful children’s book by great author Tali Carmi. This is actually my second book review from this author, the first is the “Terry Treetop Saves the Dolphin.” And I enjoyed reading both books, yes I am a kid at heart.

I love what this book has to offer to its reader. The magical concept and Abigail’s adventure to Sahara Desert is something that kids will surely adore about this book. This book will teach kids about cultures and life in desert. Moreover, it also tackles a little about science, the idea of associating plants and water. Lastly, it is shown in this book about the importance of showing kindness to other.

And of course Children’s book is not complete without the illustrations. The colorful drawings by Neda Fuchedzhieva will help the kids understands more about the story that will definitely sparks their own adventure in their imagination.

In Abigail and the Sahara Adventure, we go with Abigail as she once again is visiting her grandparents.

With the thoughts of her last adventure still in her head, she rushes to the attic to find the bicycle still there.

She recites the words, and this time finds herself flying over the Sahara desert, where she meets a little girl named Jasmine.

Jasmine introduces Abigail to her family, and Abigail helps the family find water in an oasis that she spotted when she was flying overhead.

When she returns home, her grandmother thinks she is telling stories, but grandfather knows the truth.

My daughter likes how Abigail can go on adventures on her magical bike, and has asked her daddy to make her one...we will see how that goes! ;) She is also very fond of the bright colors of the illustrations, it definitely makes the books come to life for her.

This book is a great bedtime story. I got a lot of woo's and ahhs from this book. "oh mom how did she do that?" It's magic, this Abigail is magic :) It's baffling sometimes how Tali can stuff so much information in to these children books. You learn about the culture and even a little bit of what it takes to survive there.

If you want a bedtime story to get your little ones imaginations running about the the whole world out there this book is a great start. My daughter was learning vocabulary she didn't know. For example what an oasis is. What I find so fascinating about this book is that Jasmine didn't realized that she was learning as whole lesson about the Sahara, she didn't see it as work. Just an adventure she was taking while I read to her.

My daughter loved the pictures and also that there was a little girl in the book with her same name :) She loved that Abigail's bike is a magic bike. She asked where she was going next when I finished reading. 5 Stars!!!

I read this book to my grandson tonight as a bedtime story. He enjoyed it so much that he wanted me to read it to him 3 more times. This book is short enough that I read it to him 4 times before he closed his eyes to sleep. I am sure he is going to want me to read it to him again. He loves the imagination of Abigail and he likes that she helped here friend find water for her family in the Sahara desert.
I liked reading this book to him as well. The words are simple enough that I am sure an 8-year-old could read it. This book is the second in a series of Explore the World Children's Books series.
I have several of the books in this series and they are all great books to read as bedtime stories or even to have story time for the children to read.

I love that the Abigail series has a girl as the main role and that she loved to go on adventures like my girls do.

In this Adventure Abigail goes to the Sahara on the magical bicycle she found at her grandparents house. The Abigail series takes your child to exotic locations so they can learn about other cultures. There is always an adventure when you read about Abigail. Wonder where she will go in the next book?

My now 7 year old, 12 year old, and my grand daughter who is 3 all loved this book. It gives them ideas about places they might want to visit when they grow up. We also usually look up information on the internet after reading one of the adventures to learn more about certain things.

With Abigail and the Sahara Adventure the girls wanted to learn more about deserts.

Abigail has once again gone to visit her grandparents and is excited to find the magical bicycle her grandfather invented is still in the attic. After looking in the book, she decides she would like to go on an adventure to the Sahara desert.

With the magic words, her adventure begins: "Take me there, let me see, show me where I want to be." I love that these words repeat in all the Abigail adventures, so if you read the series, its something you can look forward to.

In this story, she meets Jasmine, who is carrying a large pot on her head. She explains that she fills it with water to bring back to her family. Water is something very important to their survival in the desert, but when the well runs dry it's up the the girls to find a solution! Read more to find out what happens!

I really love Ebooks for kids, this book was no exception. It really encouraged my daughter to use her imagination. The pictures were bright and colorful and the story was the perfect length to keep her attention.

My 5 year old daughters review: I like the bracelet and the place where there were trees and water, I like the sparkly water and the magic bike and all the pictures. It was nice of them to give her food for helping them and she like the pot on the girls head.

If I had a magic bike I would go to the desert and help people that need my help too. And my sissy will go to ballet class and help every ballerina that needs help.

Sweet and cute is how I'd describe this story. I mean really a magical bike that can take you anywhere you want to go. What a way to spark the imagination of our young readers. It was a wonderful bedtime read. My little reader kept asking a million questions, mainly asking if her grandpa can make her a magical bike. Explaining the functions of that was a chore in itself.
Over all I really enjoy the writings of Tali Carmi and her children's books. I know that her books always have an underlining lesson to come away with. I know that the story is always engaging and the illustrations are bright and unique. Such a wonderful job.

I have a 2 1/2 yr old and 6 yr old girls at home who love adventures! So this was a great book for us to sit down and read. The girls really enjoyed the magic and the adventure. I liked how descriptive and sweet the story is. My girls have adopted the magical phrase from the book "Take me there, let me see, show me where I want to be!" I love that it gets them to use their imaginations even after reading about Abigails adventure. Nicely illustrated as well. We are looking forward to reading more about Abigail.

Abigail and the Sahara Desert is similar to the Terry Treetop series also written by Tali Carmi. Just like the other books this one combines a cute and entertaining story with a little bit of education. Abigail goes to visit her grandparents and uses her grandpa's magical bike to take a trip to the Sahara Desert. The story is fun to read and kids will be introduced to the Sahara Desert. My 5 year old really enjoyed the magical bike in this story.

Another Abigail Adventure! My four year old loved this book as well. I liked that it went a little deeper into daily life in the desert. (the need for water) I got to explain what an Oasis was and my daughter is currently wondering around the house with a pot on her head pretending to bring water to her village. I found the pictures fun and engaging, and my daughter enjoys repeating the magic rhyme that Abigail says to go on adventures. A fun little story, my daughter can't wait for the next one.
