The mountains of Timber Peak Valley have been my refuge since my accident, but she makes me want to open up my world again.
Harlan I’ve kept to myself ever since I got injured. The woods, the crystal clear lakes, and the mountains of Timber Peak Valley are all I need.
Then Callie shows up.
She’s all fire and determination, dead set on turning her late aunt’s lakeside property into a summer adventure camp for city kids. But three days before opening day, her wilderness instructor backs out, and everything she’s built is on the line. She needs help and thinks I’m the man for the job.
But to me, this isn’t some short-term favor. I’m already planning forever with her, and I’m not stopping until she’s in my arms.
Adored by the Mountain Man is a short and steamy instalove romance set in the small mountain town of Timber Peak Valley. This short romance is part of the Mountain Man Summer series. It has no cliffhangers or cheating and has a guaranteed HEA. If you love protective mountain men who’d do anything for the women they love, this is the perfect read for you!
We are into Timber Peak Valley diving into Callie's story.
Callie has wanted to make a summer camp for kids for years with her family property. She's at the end but all of a sudden needs a guide after hers has to back out. She is giving a hint by her brother and drives straight up into the mountains to find Harlan, mountain man recluse.
There is such heart to this story. You really feel for Callie, and wanting to do something for kids who wouldn't have the chance to get into nature with the way of technology and city life. She is taking a huge leap trying to get Harlan to help, but sometimes fate comes calling.
Harlan is every bit the grump and recluse. He just didn't expect to find someone like Callie that. changed his life in that moment of opening his door. I love how once he gives into helping her camp he really opens up. You get to see the teddish bear side of Harlan that he doesn't let out....ever. He finds himself opening up and wanting to give Callie more than even he thought he had to give.
Callie is finally getting her dream. The camp is coming together, her family is finding happiness, and something about the grumpy new guide is changing her world. She isn't afraid to prove to Harlan she might not know much about the forest or nature, but she's willing to try.
The grueling, for her, hike leads her to a place of beauty and exploration. You really almost feel the magnetic connection they have with each other. Its a slow burn in a insta love story that feels JUST what it needs to be. Heart, happiness, grumplish mountain man, and the woman born to make him have a forever he never expected.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Callie and her two brothers inherited their aunt’s cabin and lakefront property. Callie wanted to open a camp for troubled teens. Not terribly troubled but teens that needed a place to express themselves. She wanted them to learn how to survive and thrive in the outdoors. Camping, setting up tents, starting fires, cooking, etc. Callie’s certified instructor had to bow out due to his father having a stroke. Archer, Callie’s brother said she should go see Harlan McReed who is a certified instructor but is a hermit. Archer said Harlan taught him a lot in high school. Callie did not want to talk to a hermit but ultimately she had no choice. Either talk to Harlan or cancel Camp Evergreen. She got directions to Harlan’s cabin and took off. When she arrived at as soon as she made it to the door Harlan opened it and asked what she wanted. She told him about the camp and what she needed and he said No right away. As she sat in her car upset Harlan was looking out his window. He felt bad for telling Callie no. He didn’t know what got into him as he was walking out to her car… 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊😊

A future he didn't know he wanted, but found he could no longer live without. Harlan helps Callie with the technical aspects of camp but she helps him see that he hasn't been living, just existing. And whilst he thought he wanted to be shut away, avoiding everyone, she shows him what he really needs.....her! Callie is easy to like, she is bubbly, determined and full of positivity. Harlan may not see the positive side of life, he may even be grumpy and abrupt but buried deep down he has a heart of gold that won't allow him to let Callie fail when he can, unwillingly, help. And it is that deep buried heart that you fall for, he puts himself out for others, expecting nothing back, but he finds...his everything! A sweet, sexy, heartwarming and hot addition to the series which I read on Kindle Unlimited.
Adored by the Mountain Man is part of the multi-authored Mountain Man Summer series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, grumpy-sunshine, curvy girl gets her mountain man romance. Callie is a sweet, curvy girl who is opening a wilderness camp for children when she loses her wilderness guide due to a family emergency. Harlan is a hunky, grumpy, reclusive wilderness expert. When her brother recommends him as a possible option, she asks him for help. He initially tells her know but then changes his mind. He agrees to help and suggests they camp overnight to do a trial run before the kids arrive. The chemistry between these two was so hot and we got a very happy ending. I loved it.

Callie dream of creating a summer camp for kids hits a snag at the last minute. She must convince grumpy recluse Harlan to help as a wilderness guide.
They brave the wilderness and discover unexpected and instantaneous sparks. Harlan transforms from hermit to tender protector pretty quickly for Callie.
A sweet, steamy novella about healing, hope, and finding forever love in the mountains. Everything happens quickly in such a short read.
For a short novella this story tells a lot about Callie and Harlan. Callie is opening her summer camp for teens when her wilderness guide has an emergency and has to step down. Her brother mentions mountain man Harlan as a replacement. This is a fast read, well written, sweet with some steam and Harlan and Callie are just perfect together. Harlan may be a loner but once meeting Callie he doesn’t want to be a loner anymore. It’s a wonderful story.

This was a quick, OTT insta-love romance that was both sweet and spicy. Cassie was such a bundle of nerves, and her latest crisis didn't help. Harlan, the once active outdoor leader turned recluse was her only hope. Seeing her optimism and drive gradually both unravel and open him was moving. With stressed communication morphing into light banter and more, their relationship developed as the story progressed. Second chances and the reignited of the will to truly live were core to this story.
I voluntarily reviewed a gift copy of this book. Happy Reading Y'all 📚

She came to him for help with her new camp and he said no. After his accident all he wants is to be alone. As she sits in her car, he watches her, then opens the door. And the wonderful adventure begins. Love them and the location!
This is not a book. This is “write a book in less than 5,000 words”. It’s 45 pages long. It’s a summary of a book you could send to a publisher to get an advance and then you’d write the book. There’s no backstory. No development. They meet. They are in love by page 25. Like wtf?
