Another new author for me, and another first in the series.
Simon Doakes, Book 1
Well in all honesty, I found the book alittle far fetched, but saying that I could not stop reading it.
It was fast packed, action throughout, gripping and tense, with a really nasty over the top villain.

This book is more than action packed. Be aware that Simon Doakes gives no quarter. He wantonly kills anyone with connections to the child kidnapping ring. That's a lot of people! If you don't mind these kinds of people getting what is due them, this book is for you.

First book I’ve read of Mark Yarwood. The trilogy got off to a great start with Track Down. Simon Doakes as a character is very addictive and difficult to put down. Jumping straight into the second book now so hopefully it’s as good as the first.

I regret this book was not for me - a far fetched story where the “hero” experienced a severe stomach wound but was up and gunning within hours. Indestructible? I didn’t give up but won’t bother with the other 2 I’ve bought. Obviously a poor choice by me. Others seem to have enjoyed it.

It was ok. Needs checking though - hero gets suddenly shot by somebody that only has a knife. He then manages to go on and have sex and the gunshot in his stomach is never mentioned again. There are accuracy and continuity errors.. Glad to finish this.

Excellent Story
An excellent story by Mark Harwood in the Simon Doakes series. Full of interesting characters and a great storyline.Looking forward to reading more in the series.
