This was a very good romance novel. I prefer that the story line not contain an abundance of quarreling and discord between the two who are in love, which this book has. But overall, I enjoyed the read.
Graham,...allways good. Leigh and Derek, water and fire! Hate and love,....
In the past, Derek loved Leigh, but she hurts his best friend, her husband who is death now, but,..... Leigh never did that! Now they fight about the past, but is there a future for them?
Leigh has sworn off musicians after the death of her husband. We learn that Richard was not the best of husbands and Leigh was divorcing him at the time of his death. Leigh is asked to come to a band member’s house for a meeting. Unfortunately, it is her least favorite band member, Derek. This is a wild ride of secrets and forgiveness.
Easy read. Romantic. I love books that have a controversy that needs to be worked out. Where the couple needs to jump hurdles to be together. When they can't live without each other. This story line was just enough to keep me interested. Definitely not cheesy! Looking forward to reading more by this author.
Solid read with misunderstandings and miscommunications that are in character (I just hate it when stuff is out of character because someone wrote themselves into a hole). This went into 3 star territory simply because I liked the characters, even when I wanted to punch one of them.
The story is dated. Tempers, bullying and sex resolve all issues. No character development. Clearly contrived plot manipulation. I skipped many pages, and skimmed others just to end it. It's a good thing her writing has dramatically improved since 1983!
