"Don't you dare pretend that you are some small, fragile, pathetic little girl. I can feel that vicious mind working through the stone."

For 468 years, the races of Ethake’s realm have lived silently among humans, hidden from their knowledge. The Royal House of Ethake has maintained peace between magical and underworldly creatures, and for the past two centuries, the Sapphirum—the highest family of the Sapphire race—has ruled over all.

At the heart of the city of Cyanfell stands the Castle of Plains, home to the royal bloodline and their armies since the earliest recorded lore. Within the Castle’s center lies the Sanctuary, where all magic is bound and unleashed.

Princess Ayla is in her 19th year, and in Ethake, that means one thing—this is the year she will be marked by her magic. But when the ceremony at the Sanctuary goes horrifically wrong, Ayla begins to suspect it’s connected to the shadowed figure that cornered her in the forest the night before. The creature whispered of an unstoppable darkness rising to claim the throne and the devastating death that would follow.

Ordered by her father to stay away from the Sanctuary’s investigation, Ayla defies him and launches her own search for answers. With her closest friends—and two devastatingly attractive men by her side—she begins to uncover secrets that were meant to stay buried. Haco, a deadly warrior with a mysterious past, and Cathan, the brooding protector whose intensity sets her skin on fire, both pull her in ways she can’t ignore. Torn between them, Ayla must master her magic before it consumes her.

As the fates foretold grow truer each day, and everything they thought they knew about magic unravels, Ayla and her band of magical mischiefs must confront the darkness threatening to change Ethake forever. But can Ayla survive the darkness within herself—the darkness that calls to her?

I'm Ally, the storyteller of the series that take place within the Lapiz Lazuli territories.

I've been captivated by the magic of words and the endless possibilities they bring. Growing up, my imagination was fueled by epic tales of adventure, enchanting love stories, and fantastical realms, all of which now inspire my own writing.

After years of reading countless faerie and murder stories, I've finally ventured into the world of authorship. My debut novel, Dark Sapphire, is a blend of sarcasm, romance and thrilling fantasy, where love and magic intertwine to create a tale that I hope, will sweep you off your feet.

When I'm not writing, you can find me getting lost in someone else's book, cooking or baking and then subsequently, eating.

I live in a small town in the North East of England with my bald man and my golden retrievers.

Thank you for joining me on this magical journey. I hope my stories ignite your imagination and touch your heart, just as much as they do mine.

The realms that have been created and the characters that have been brought to life within them are vivid, multifaceted and relatable.

Immerse yourself in a universe with a fascinating history, combining beauty of precious stones and elemental powers with the intrigue of magic and a lore which is deep and detailed, full of potential.

The dialogue flows easily and the shift in perspective by chapter encouraged me to form bonds with each character while effectively controlling the pace of the story. Every aspect of the novel is navigated masterfully, from the tentative steps of forming friendships and relationships, to the navigation of love and lust; from the brightness and festivities of the events such as the Snowspire Festival to the bloody darkness of the battle scenes, all punctuated by humour and emotion which encapsulates the human element of each character thread.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading Dark Sapphire; I can’t wait to find out what comes next in the realm of Ethake. Well worth reading!
