A beautifully produced illustrated book of paintings celebrating the West Country by James Lynch, with poetry by David Caddy, James Crowden and Mary Maher. The book contains 26 full colour illustrations of Lynch's paintings, panoramic landscapes of Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset inspired by the painter's passion for paragliding and flying alongside buzzards over old Wessex.
James Lynch was born in 1956 and has been painting professionally for thirty years. He became known in the 1980s and 90s for his monumental animals set in visionary landscapes, but his recent work focuses on the West Country landscape and its seasonal light and dramatic weather.
