A biker: Lucas 'Mortician' Banks stopped believing in love after a bitter betrayal. As Club Enforcer, the Death Dwellers MC is his home, where no rules exist and brotherhood rule. He never expected to fall for the daughter of K-P Andrews, a biker from the old guard, who is now deceased. Is love enough to survive secrets, brutality, and betrayal?

A beauty: Bailey Andrews was fascinated by the biker from the first moment they met. She seized the opportunity to have his phone number and, somehow, ended up married to him when she accompanied Mortician on a run to Las Vegas. She uncovers the connection between her father and Mortician’s father and the horrible betrayals it led to within the MC. Can she leave the secrets stay buried? Or will she expose them and ruin her marriage to the only man she’ll ever love?

A bet: Smug in his assumption he’d never fall as hard for as woman as his Prez fell for a girl, Mortician put his money where his mouth was and made that bet. With 20 G's on the line and two weeks left before he wins or loses, Mortician has to decide if Bailey and their marriage is more important or saving face and keeping his money. Having only ever seen the destruction of love gone wrong, what will Mortician decide?

A baby: Now, Bailey’s pregnant with his baby and hiding another detrimental secret that she, herself, recently discovered. Will she have to choose between her life and the baby’s? Or will she find a way to save both herself and her child?

Warning: This is a brutal tale of worlds colliding—a mega-church with the command to destroy, powerful men with their own agendas, and raw and dirty bikers who will win at all costs. Contains violence, drug use, and excessive foul language.

I am slowly but surely learning to manage my time more effectively and getting back to writing and connecting with everyone. I'm not completely there yet, but it is slowly coming together. Misled and Misappropriate have been updated with additional chapters and POVs from a couple more characters. Both books have about 30,000 more words and new covers. I have new covers for all the books in the series. Recently Misled placed first in the Mystery, Suspense, and Thriller category on Chick Lit Cafe. The paperback will also be included in an upcoming Reveal Book Box. While working on Reckless, I am also updating the text in the original series. About Reckless - It will be filled with death and destruction, as usual. However, I will admit to being slightly shocked myself at some of the turn of events taking place. I have restarted my newsletter with a new name, KatChats. Until the end of the year, I plan to send it out weekly because of all the news I have to share. After that, I will switch to monthly. I also have a new website. It should be online in a couple of days once the domain transfer completes. I also have a website dedicated to the Death Dwellers. It is still in its early stages, but it is live: https://deathdwellersmc.com.
Meanwhile, if you have any questions, please send them my way.

Kathryn C. Kelly is a New Orleans native who has called southeast Texas home since 2005. She had intended to travel the world but always return to her beloved New Orleans. Hurricane Katrina had other plans. She is the mother of three beautiful daughters and the daughter of one gorgeous mother whose footsteps she followed in by becoming a writer.
Kathryn is the former owner and editor of Inside Rose Rich Magazine. She and her mother have been published by Jove Books as Christine Holden. The books have long been out of print but they got the rights back to the five novels and have plans to re-release them soon.
Kathryn is a cancer survivor. In 2010, she felt a small lump in her breast. In 2015, at the urging of her mother, she went in for her bi-yearly mammogram and was diagnosed with Stage 2b/3a HER2 positive breast cancer. On November 30, 2016, she rang the bell. During her treatment, she was also diagnosed with Li-Fraumeni Syndrome.
In 2013, Christopher "Outlaw" Caldwell introduced himself to Kat in the most cliché way ever. He came to her in a dream. After the inauspicious meeting, he planted himself in her mind and the motherf...the gentleman hasn't left yet. In what was only supposed to be one book about the fictitious Death Dwellers MC, Outlaw has become a source of amusement, a well of frustration, and a bone of contention between Kat and one of her daughters.
She is hard at work on Reckless, the book that will bridge the OGs with a new generation of Death Dwellers. Her work has been included in several anthologies and she is looking forward to other upcoming single title releases, including Savage Suit from the Cocky Hero Club World created by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. She is a former RWA member. She also served as Vice President for the SOLA chapter of RWA.
She is a New Orleans Saints fan, but roots for the Texans, the Rockets, and the Coogs (U of H) as long as they aren't playing any Louisiana teams. She loves champagne and sparkling wine. One day, she will try Snoop's brand. She still loves Chivas Regal but had a chance to taste Sassenach Scotch. A #lifegoal is to one day buy herself an entire bottle and keep it all for herself.
In her head, she is a biker babe with a Harley in her garage, waiting for her to hit the road. In reality, she has yet to hop on a bike and ride. She loves Cards Against Humanity, has very strong opinions that she keeps to herself, has to take her time to talk in public so nothing untoward pops out, and always strives to see the best in people and in life.

So I liked this but I didn't love it. Bailey took too much crap from Lucas I wish she had stood up to him more just because you love someone does not mean you let them treat you like shit. I really missed scenes with Outlaw and Meggie in this book I don't care what other people might say but for me they are the main couple and I love reading the series for them! I seriously adore psycho Outlaw and just find him too hilarious.

My star rating for "Misguided" is: 4 out of 5 stars! :)

My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ after reading ‘Misguided’(The Death Dwellers MC Series book #4):

***WARNING: Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read the previous Novels/Novellas of the Death Dwellers MC Series.***

This is the latest in The Death Dwellers MC Series by Kathryn Kelly. There is always so much raw and emotional scenes in this series and this latest installment delivers more about the gritty lives of those in the MC and the women and enemies around them. “Misguided” is written from the P.O.V.’s(point of views) of Lucas “Mortician” Banks and Bailey Andrews.

The story tells us more about the back story and history about Lucas “Mortician” Banks and the MC. Mortician comes a rich lifestyle with very little love, if any, after his mother’s death. His father is a well liked preacher who seems to have most of his congregation fooled about who he is and what secrets he keeps. When Lucas “Mortician” finds himself in the company of the MC, he must decide who he is and who wants to be. With a women who seems to control his young naive heart, he’s torn between his past and present as time progresses in the story.

Bailey Andrews is a young and beautiful college student who also happens to be the daughter of K.P.(Kaleb Paul), who is a long time member of the Death Dwellers MC. Bailey finds herself attracted to K.P.’s bike brother Mortician and quickly finds herself falling hard. Mortician confuses her by pushing her away one moment and then pulling her closer other times. She decided to move near her father to escape a secret she ran away from. She had no idea that life would change for her and those close to her.

Mortician doesn’t want to lose the bet. A bet that was made long ago that he wants to make sure not to lose but his body betrays him. His attraction to Bailey is hard to ignore but he sure as hell going to try his best to ignore it. He just never bet on things changing after he gives in just a little bit to his desires for Bailey.

With a father like that who needs enemies? Enemies are lurking around and past secrets will surface, that could threaten the MC and its members. Hearts are tested, betrayed and some are mended. I definitely recommend this book for anyone who loves a great MC series and wants a story told with the true raw emotions, sexual enticement and the perfect amount of suspense that draws me to call the Death Dwellers MC one of my Top 5 favorite MC Series’. Check it out for sure!

My Star Rating for MISGUIDED is: 4 out of 5 stars! :)

Can love be denied? In the next installment in the Death Dwellers MC our bad boy biker fights against the feelings and love he has for Bailey Andrews. In the end he finds that love will find a way regardless of obstacles put in its path! This is Bailey and Mortician’s story and it is a story that will answer questions asked in earlier books in this series.

Bailey Andrews’ father is a member of the Death Dwellers’ MC. She knows that being part of the club’s family is not an easy life but it was her father’s life. When she met Mortician for the first time the connection was instantaneous and unbreakable. The more she was around Mortician the more she wanted to be with him. Bailey knows that Mortician has scars on his soul caused for his past. Will she be able to heal him? Can he forget the past and have a future with her?

Trust is a hard thing for Mortician to give. He has been betrayed by his father repeatedly and deceived by the woman he had loved since they were teens. Living within the code of his MC family has hardened him, but he cannot deny the way Bailey makes him feel. She is sweet, pure and all the things that he has never known. Mortician in a mad moment made a bet with his brothers that he would never fall and be addicted by a young pussy like his Prez. This is the beginning of his battle to prove that he does not belong to Bailey. Then how does he find himself married to a very pregnant Bailey?

Another solid installment from one of my favorite MC romance authors (like, top 3).

Mortician (Lucas) has a personality similar to Christopher "Outlaw" Caldwell, so I liked this book. I wish Bailey had taught him some lessons for being such a jackass and wasn't so understanding and forgiving, but that's her character.

But Outlaw is still my favorite character. If the author wrote a series called The Adventures of Christopher "Outlaw" Caldwell, I would totally read it.

E-fuckin-nuff said.

As for the saga of Johnnie and Kendall? Work that shit out! I'm thinking the author is planning a novella for them, which I hope includes her getting on medication and redeeming herself and him finally loving her as much as she needs.

I had thought I'd read somewhere that there would be a book for Digger and Peyton. One where they're killed? I don't know. They're highly unlikable.

It's like a train wreck that I cannot look away from. Here I go again taking some stupid pills by reading this book. hehe I can't escape this series. Its a itch I can't help but scratch.

First off, can we talk about how much of an a-hole Mortician (Lucas) is? He is so petty, childish and irrational about this stupid bet between the brothers. I mean let it go Lucas. JEEZ! What is more important the money or you and Bailey. She is so full of life and love and doesn't deserve not one piece of Lucas' bullsh*t. Every time he does or says something wrong I want to punch him dead in the mouth. smh

I loved how the author threw in quite a bit of exposition. We got to see how Outlaw and Mortician met, how Lucas got his road name, and why Mortician is so unshakeable about admitting his feelings for K-P's daughter Bailey. Man, K-P. That is still a hard pill to swallow. I actually had to grab my chest when Bailey found the letter from him. I also loved when Meggie took John Boy to the rock over Kendall. He was doing a shit job of handling and working on their relationship. I mean I don't hate Kendall the way Outlaw does, but I don't feel the need to placate her like some of the other characters do. I just hope she get's help while she is away.

Cause man...

Bailey's mom is the sh*t and I loved that Mortician had a run in with her via text and in person. LMAO

I liked the fact that there was no subterfuge on Bailey's part. She was 100% genuine the entire time. She didn't play games or expect Lucas to know what she wanted. She threw it all out there and told him what she wanted every time. 100% transparent.

So many secrets were told in this book and by the end we realize its going to keep going for at least one or two more books.

I do wish Lucas had groveled more, but all in all Bailey and Mortician are my fav couple.

Misguided is absolutely the best and my favorite in Kathryn Kelly's excellent MC series! It was heartbreaking, sexy, dark, kicka*s, and beautiful. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, but I was in no way disappointed and I could not have been happier with it! I wholeheartedly loved it!!!

Ever since I started reading this series, Mort has always been my favorite and I'm so glad I finally got to read his story!! In the previous books, Mort has really always been the guy with the advice, but of course, when he should take his own advice the stubborn a*s doesn't do it. I know I sound harsh, but I say this with love and honesty, which I know Mort would appreciate. Truthfully, he's not that bad; he's deep, sweet, loyal, and he melts my heart. I just love Mort, it's as simple as that.

Bailey is an awesome heroine! She's strong and brave and positive. She loves her man with all her heart, she fights for him, and never in her heart of hearts does she actually give him up. Bailey is the best kind of heroine and I just love her character.

Whether Misguided was told from the past or the present it broke my heart, but it also put it back together. It is a tough read and it isn't for the faint of heart, but it's not all dark either. It still made me laugh and smile and feel happy. I wouldn't have it any other way.

There was so much that I loved about this book! I loved the characters, their personalities, and humor. I also loved the steaminess, it is just hot, Hot, HOT! Misguided is an amazing book and I will definitely read it again!

Misguided does end with a HEA and it's told from Mort and Bailey's POV. The books should definitely be read in order and I can't wait to read the next book because we learned some crazy things in this one and there are still some unanswered questions. All I have to say is that the Death Dwellers have an epic battle ahead of them and I will not be missing it! ~ Paige, 5 stars

Lucas “Mortician” Banks had been a preacher son but was dealt a s***ty hand with a girl he thought was his girlfriend but instead she moved on to his dad . he had enough and left to go back to the mc were he felt like he belong . he has seen some gruesome s*** and done some gruesome s*** but it is what is in the mc! It’s a brotherhood and either your loyal or your dead. When he meets Bailey he cant keep his eyes off her but he was always warned by her father to stay away. She is still in college and still a virgin. So they decided to talk every night on the phone or he would go and hangout with her. Then when he has a trip to vagas he ask if she wants to go the old saying what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas not always true if you end up married. So he made a bet he would get walk away from her but then he finds out she is carrying his child. That then his past comes back to haunt him when his wife is kidnapped and beaten . when he saves her finally he still cant let go of the bet . Bailey has had enough she packs her bags and leaves. Will he go after her or will the bet be more important then his wife and unborn child?
Omg Kelly this was by far the most intense book I have ever read and I wanted to be outlaw so I could knock some sense into morts head . I even had the tissues going. I am such a huge Death Dwellers fan

☆ I received an RC via the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!! ☆

Mortician and his forbidden fruit... Wah, was it an interesting feat unfolding this one.

While not my favorite amongst the Death Dwellers MC couples, I personally held a candle for Bailey and couldn't help but ponder her fate with Lucas a.k.a Mortician throughout after the whole pregnancy thing and chaos that's constantly around the DD MC.

That's not to say that I hated Mortician or anything, because I didn't. I personally liked Outlaw because he was my first love in the series and then Johnnie was the badboy that I could but have a major crush on. Then came Val and there was something about him that piqued my interest with him defrosting the "Ice Queen." But Mortician.

Eh, usually one of the more mellow of the bikermen, Mortician was just alright in my eyes and placing in the Death Dwellers men hierarchy. I didn't love him, but I didn't loathe him at all either.

His story with Bailey was quite the scandal as it was filled with many ups and downs and followed in true gritty fashion of love, loss, and blood.

Loved it......

Great to finally get Mort and Bailey's story

Thought Mort' s inner ramblings were so funny, especially about 'Roscoe ' !! And some of the things he came out with...

"Didn't say shit about my worth.I'm an awesome motherfucker..."

Oh and hell, he had a dirty mouth !!Loved Bailey, great character

Johnnie and Kendall..
It's no secret that she annoys the hell out of me but I actually think she plays an integral part in the story.I actually thought, yes go girl when she left at the end of previous book, thought it was right after the way Johnnie treat her.And Johnnie, what he did not long after she left, I was like no,no ( think that will come back to haunt him )

I can't finish without mentioning Outlaw..

" Ain't nothing but a thing...'

Sorry but he's still my favourite

God these men, you can totally picture them stomping around, all moody male dominance ( sigh ) and dam sexy

Bring on the next one....

I am loving this whole series. They always take you back into each lead character for that books background and to where their relationships, friendships and how they became MC members. Up to present. It is sometimes done in flashbacks. but Ms. Kelly does it well.

This is Morticians book. Mort and Bailey have a hard time with their relationship because he pushes her away all the time. She's having his baby. Plus he entered a bet with his MC brothers about falling in love with young pu**y. Mort's pride won't let him lose. So he has a thing with Bailey but he keeps it a secret and doesn't treat her very well. Bailey goes through a lot in this book and comes very close to dying. Old enemies thought long dead surface.

This is my favorite MC series. Enjoy!!!!!

Great book even though very mild compared to the others in this series. Mortician gawd I wanted to slap him. Bailey! girls got some strength in her. Was nice to not have this instalment dominated by Meggie or ugh Kendall.
Poor Digger. I kinda like him, even though we have not heard much about him. I hope we are to read more in the future.
Stretch and Ghost. Hmmmm need their story to, it should be rather.... Interesting.

Here were again hooked on full of dirty, cruel, dark freedom, wicked love, loyalty, also sometimes full of betrayal, glamour life of Death Dwellers MC world. Again sucked in amazingly fabulous Kat's creation. Though, I have to say not one of previous books didn't make me laugh so much.

The story begins where Misjudged ended. Where DD guys goes on safe Bailey mission. There aren't much showing, because when the all fun should begin, were pulled back in the past.

Past/present are divided in few parts.

PART ONE: THE BIKER

There Kat are showing us why and how, Lucas starts his journey with Death Dwellers MC. It's not easy. For more then one reason. One would be that, at the time some brothers have problems because of his skin color. Yes, there were some racist. So, no wonder at first it was hard to get a place in the club. But he liked because of what bikers were legendary for. Party, women, freedom, fast living. Though Outlaw one day showed him, that MC life isn't just fun. He showed to Lucas the dark side of it. Outlaw wanted that Lucas knew it, before he decided to get the cut or not.

A little out of topic here, but I have to say "seeing" K-P in the past, I'm even more sorry for the club losing him. The way he acted with Lucas and at all...Well, it's really sad. He was such an amazing man for a biker. Club lost a loyal brother.

Back to the topic now. It's really was interesting to see how Lucas slowly grows up into the man he's at the present. Though the road was not with roses petals lined, he's still standing with his heart and soul in his hands. Just they are a little dented, bruised and tightly locked behing steel walls.

Those walls starts for more than one reason. The most who triggered those walls to grow is, Char, the sl*t b*tch. I really hated that cow. And I couldn't believe how naive sometimes Lucas was. The b*tch so much sucked him in with her c*nt, that he didn't see, what a manipulator she was. Used and toyed Lucas for her own amusement. All the time saying it for theirs relationship good. I so much rolled my eyes, I thought my poor babies gonna stay in that state eternally. So wanted to grab something and wack her to death. On those occasions Lucas annoyed me to no sh*t. He should have kicked her to the curb a long time ago and stoped playing her stupid games. Poor, naive b*stard, though.

When he finally become one of the DD member, Lucas died and born Mortician. The years in the club where good. Even though it's sometimes pushed him to unleash his darkest side. But all good the club represents ends, when the Prez goes from the proud man, who protected women, had some morals, kept everything running smoothly in the club, into crazy, killer drug addict baboon.

Have to say after seeing Big Joes the other side, the guys so much respected, its so sad to see how Big Joe degrade himself in that path.
That self-destruction the Prez doing, makes Mortician to want out. He doesn't remember why he wanted to join the club in the first place. So, he needs to save what left of his soul and his sanity. And when he's ready to leave, he can't. Because Outlaws needs him with other brothers to have his back.

And here I have to go out of topic again, becauce I just remembered one of parts that made me smile. Though I have to say what Outlaw and Mortician were talking about were not a light duscussion, but...Well, if you read previous books you will see why that make me smile. Here small part of theirs talk:
☆"They wanted to bring me to my f*ckin' knees. Break me. Ain't a motherf*cker alive ever gonna do that. NEVER."
"A girl might one day."
Outlaw snorted. "None of these c*nts here and since I ain't meetin' no other b*tches, that sh*t ain't happenin'."
"You never know." Luke insisted "God works in mysterious ways."
"In case you ain't figured this sh*t out, I don't believe in God."☆
That made me so smile and think, that because you don't believe in God, that doesn't mean HE don't believe in you. And clearly he was so listening to this discussion and laughing his a*s off, because of his plans for Outlaw in the future.

PART TWO: THE BEAUTY
Who read previous books, knows that from the start, when Mortician meet Bailey, he was hooked. Though denied it will his last breath.
Mortician always there, when Bailey needs someone or she is in pain. Like when K-P dies. He's there for her. Supporting. Which leads them into Vegas. Where the wedding happens. Start for something special if just Mortician let go of the past hurts.

I can partly understand, why Mortician puts a fight. He loved before, or at least he tought so. Because I don't thinks so. It was sick obsession with the b*tchs c*nt, but no way love. But he thought so, so it sucked for him. He burned badly. Now Mortician don't do trust with women. Even if he acknowledge, that the woman is sweet and innocent. Like Bailey. Though I have to say, because she's isn't clinging type, always giving him a way out, its harder for him to fight it.

Oh, and there with Morticians fighting his feelings for Bailey, comes some funny moments, that makes me laugh. His dialogue with himself is really funny as sh*t.
☆"He needed Bailey. No. He needed to get Bailey to safety. He didn't need her.
Give it up, a*shole. You need Bailey. You want her. You love her.
So now he was hearing romantic f*cking voices in his head? F*ck off. He'd prefer to talk to his d*ck. Once upon a time, he'd named it Roscoe.
Had ne ever told Bailey that his d*cks name was Roscoe?"
OMFG. It made me so laugh my a*s off. Damn. Those dialogues of his made my stomach ache from so much fun. Because this is just the first in line. There are so more of this. And damn, I have to share another one.
☆"Damn if his f*cking heart...f*ck, no...his head...uh-uh, not that sh*t either...his d*ck. Yeah, damn, if his d*ck took the cue and allowed him a clean break."

Lets get back to the fighting, which have not so much fun. It's get's annoying actually, when they go fordward and backwards. All around. It seems they took few steps into something meaningful and then they fall back into big fat nothing. On one moment Mortician even said those words. I love u. Well, ok. He was drunk of his a*s. But theres saying "Children and drunk people speaks the true." So, he said whats in his heart. And the next day he take them back. Ouch, poor Bailey. The p*ssy pr*ck, thats our Mortician.

Jeezus, guys! Make up your minds. I wanted to scream. You go somewhere or let it go. Or more correctly Mortician should let Bailey go. Stop pushing and pulling and pushing and pulling and pushing again game. I have a whiplash. I believe, he's worse then woman on PMS.

PART THREE: THE BET

So, this part starts in the present. Thats means where Bailey was kiddnaped and is tortured by the c*nt b*tch, Morticians ex psycho. And there is Digger. I knew there something going on with him and here we had something revealed. And...Damn, the sh*t he got himself into. Even tough it's seems for a good reason, it's not good reason enough. Then steps in Sharper. What happened made me want to cry, to scream, it made me so angry. I wanted to break something. I couldn't wait at that moment, when Morticians would make them all to pay. This is just the part 3 and so much sick twists going on. Web of deceit, lies, betrayals and heartache. They are on a road, where they have to choose whose life was more importan. Those parts so much emotion evoked in me.

Also were remainded, that there's something wrong with Baileys health. It's really serious. Bailey is scared. But she decides not to tell Lucas, because Bailey don't wanna to influence him. She wants him to be with her because of her and because he wants to be, not because he pitty her or something like that.

Oh, and let's not forget the bet, he got with the guys. You know, the one where Mortician don't going down for any young p*ssy. And here we have Bailey in the middle of it. She's wondering, I'm wondering, and I believe you too, when in the end he will need to choose, what going to be more important to Mortician. To win a stupid bet or Bailey and their baby?

PART FOUR: THE BABY

In this part...Well, damn. It's seems I spoke much more than needed already. So, you wanna to find out what happened in this part and more closely into the others? Just buy this damn hooking book. My mind is still spining with all twists.

PS I just can't help but to say...With each book I adore Christopher more and more. Love u, psycho stalker!
PSS Part 4 OMFG! Morticians coversation through messages with Baileys mother....LMFAO. I swear, this is the funniest book in the series.

Mortician, Mort for short, does a lot of the wet work for the MC, but he's also the guy that most of the women confide in or take advice from. His is a dark story, but when he lets Bailey in, she brings some light to his tortured life. He's the son of a minister, and the rotten-to-the-core minister/church story goes all the way to the end of the series.

Just got done reading the entire series that's in the collected box set. This one is gritty and gory and Outlaw is the ultimate MC alpha with his dirty dirty mouth and his penchant for shooting people in the middle of their foreheads. Meggie is 15 years younger than him, but they connect on more than one level. The other MC guys are shaped well here, and I liked all of their individual stories, but I hate, hate, hate Kendall. :) Worth the wait to read the entire series right in a row.

Really Good Stuff👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I love her unique writing style. It's kind of a "biker slang, sprinkled with copious amounts of profanity. You'll definitely find yourself paying much closer attention to what you're reading so that you're not missing anything.

Overall it was a very enjoyable read with great character development and a really wicked plot. One of the better MC books that I've ever read.

Buy it, read it and enjoy.👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥

I'm gonna be honest. The first part of this book was difficult for me. I attribute this to there being too much Outlaw for me. I know all of you Outlaw fans are wanting to scream at me right now but tough shit, I'm not an Outlaw fan. He's a horrible person. I know he loves his family and his club but otherwise he's a complete psychopath. I realize that he and Mortician have a fairly long and complicated past. I also realize that we as the readers needed to know about Mort's past but it almost killed me.

Lucas "Mortician" Banks is the Enforcer for the Death Dweller MC and he's very good at his job. He handles what needs to be handled, no questions asked. His job is never pretty and at times it's downright horrifying to read about. Mort did not have a good life when he was younger. His father is a corrupt, deplorable minister. He had to live with that kind of horrible influence growing up. His mother's death crippled him emotionally and then he fell in love with a true nightmare of a woman. Her head games were cruel and she took that cruelty to even higher levels. Through all of that, he still loved her. When he made his jump to the MC, the camaraderie of the club and the woman's continued cruelty finally became too much for even him to bear. Mort has a wonderful relationship with a long standing club member, named KP. KP was very much a mentor to Mort. A father figure when he so desperately needed one. As Lucas grew up,he became the epitome of an outlaw biker. Alcohol, weed, doling out punishment and pussy. Those were the things he wanted, so he took them all in abundance. He loves women and therefore pussy. He loves it so much but after his heartbreak at a young age, he vowed to never give his heart to anyone.
Then he meets KP's daughter, Bailey.

Bailey is a young and beautiful girl. She is also so very sweet and innocent. The more time she spends with Mort, she falls head over heels in love with him. And in all of her love's innocence, she knows he's the one for her. She sticks around the MC not only to be near her dad but to still be a part of Mort's life. Mort tries to fight his attraction to Bailey but his cock wins the battle. He has sex with her, taking her virginity that she so sweetly gave him. He's guilt ridden over this but I Think even then, his soul new it's mate when it saw it. I'll give Mort an E for effort though. He fought it hard. He even made a bet with his club brothers that he wouldn't ever fall in love and get addicted to young pussy like Outlaw had with Meggie. And he's determined not to lose this bet. Just when he thinks he has it made, Bailey finds out she's pregnant. Mort still denies his addiction to Bailey even as he marries her. Bailey tries to be everything he wants her to be but Mort is a douche.

When I finally got past the beginning, I loved this book. Bailey was so precious and Mort (damn it, I love him) was a total prick to her. He took her love for granted and damn near shattered her heart. There were times when I wanted to punch him in the throat! It was like he refused to acknowledge his feelings until she was in grave danger. Even then, he faltered. He was so undeserving of her and her love. Kathryn Kelly writes wonderfully flawed alpha male heroes. You want to kiss and kick them at the same time. This book gave you a complete history of all things Mortician and a tender look at first love. A look at a man who needed the very love he denied himself.

This is a great addition to this kick ass series that I whole heartedly adore. You even get a glimpse of what the other characters are doing. How Outlaw is handling Meggie's pregnancy, how Zoann and Val are handling theirs, Digger's what the fuckery and Johnnie's descent into douchebaggery. I was glad to see Kendall show up but I still hope she makes Johnnie grovel. I can't wait for the next book!

Book given by the author in exchange for an honest review.

I received this book from the author for an honest review plus I also bought a copy during her release event. Yup that is how I role!!

*Wipes brow* Man!!! I am sooo bat shit crazy about this freaking series. ANND Like all the others books, Kat has blow me away. She makes you love and understand our MC Alpha's while still wanting to strangle then, punch them and pretty much kill them. Lemme start by giving the most inportant news...MY VP Johnnie is still destroyed over Kendall. SOOOOO what does he do? Go and chase her right? NOPE!! JOHNNIE!!! I am so dissappointed in you right now Sweetheart!!

Alright, The story is actually about Mort/Lucas and Bailey. Lucas is sooo messed in the head from his ex love Char. She did a number on his heart and head. He will not be left destroyed over another woman again. Everytime he takes a step forward with Bailey, he FA-REAKS and runs back a mile!! (Shakes fist at Lucas).

Bailey is so sweet, pure and FEISTY!! She owns her feelings and knows that Lucas will never settle down but she is willing to be with him however she can. I have to admit I was shocked when they got married last book because Lucas keeps her at arms length. But reading about their wedding and honeymoon....I sighed ALOT. Dont tell Johnnie but I may have even swooned over him.

BUT Lucas is so worried about saving face with is brothers and that stupid bet. He doesnt realize he actually looks the bogger fool in the long run with his brothers and forces Bailey to walk away. What he says to her in front of his brothers that makes her walk...I CRINGED!!!

The side plots were awesome. Lucas' Dad is some kinda evil. Plus I wanna know what the heck is up with Digger and Peyton!!! Kat does a great job making evil bad guys. She totally kicks my butt with her plots and bad stuff.......I dont want to make her mad that is for sure...I mean a wood chipper is not the way I wanna go!!!

Favorite Lines Or Quotes:

"We in Vegas. We got the little Elvis and I love you. What's stopping you?"

*I loved this scene and there was other lines I would have picked but Amazon has a thing against swear words dang it*

NADBB was a Katherine Kelly Death Dweller fan before there was an NADBB! I love this series. Besides Outlaw the one book I wanted more than any was Mortician's. Katherine did NOT disappoint. This is by far my favorite book of the series. Totally.

SYNOPSIS:

Lucas "Mortician" has been done wrong by women and when we say been done. We mean that in a HUGE way. He's jaded and complicated and sexy as hell. Of all the death dwellers Mort has had that sweet caring side that usually is only evident in Outlaw when Meggie is around.

Bailey is the daughter of a brother. An innocent lamb in a world over hungry wolves. Mort can't resist her but will giving in doom them both?

REVIEW:
The Good: Katherine Kelly is a master at the fine art of making a story while weaving in the characters and cast that we have come to love (and sometimes hate) over the length of the series. Misguided is another stunning example of this. We get this freaking awesome love story of Mortician and Bailey and in the midst of that we get all the alphas from the past we love and want more of. We get complicated life in a world Ms. Kelly created but seems so real and true to form that we have to believe there really is a Death Dwellers MC out there. (If you find them call me I want to belong!)

The Bad: We want Johnny to grow a pair of balls please? We want Kendall to find a rich sugar daddy somewhere far away and be happy and you know be away! HAH! That said Kendall made some moves in this book. I don't do spoilers babies. But this book doesn't disappoint in that manner. Seriously. You should read.

The Rating: 4.8 to 5.0 Loved it. LOVED it.

I love this series!! It's just so different to any other MC romance I've read.
The timeline of this book spans from across a period of a decade and a half , we start off in present day then we go back 14 years to how Lucas joined the MC, then we go through a few years of Lucas becoming Mortician and patching in, Big Joe's downfall and Logan's part in that. Then we get to present day told in Bailey's POV, then go through some flash backs with her. You really need to have read the other books in this series, in the correct order too, to have a clue what's going on. The story by this 4th book is so detailed and in depth, the characters connected in so many different ways. This is definitely not a series you could just drop into midway through. And with this book, in the flash backs, we get more information and more details of events that have been touched upon in other books.
So this is Mort and Bailey's story, one I was SO looking forward to! Mort is one of my favourite members of the Death Dwellers MC, he has intrigued me from the start. Bailey is a young, sweet, mild mannered girl, she puts up with a lot of crap from Mort but then we know Mort has been hurt in the past so can understand his reluctance to commitment and the 'L' word.
This book has been one of my favourites yet, just when you think you know everything about the past and all the skeletons are out of the closet, this book comes along and drops a whopper of a revelation on us! I can't wait for the next book, for the club to catch up with Sharper and he gets what's coming to him.
And Johnny......Johnny, Johnny, Johnny.....what is going to happen with him. I think the next book could be mostly about him and Kendall. I know he loves her but I still hope he finds someone else, I just want Kendall out of the series haha.

I've been waiting for Mortician/Lucas and Bailey's story. Mort is such a hard nut to crack. He won't give Bailey an inch. He won't tell her about his life, his loves, his club life, or his feelings. I found him a little too harsh for Bailey who is the exact opposite. She's kind, gentle, tells what she feels. Mort disappoints her time and again and she still holds on to him thinking one day he'll share some form of emotion with her. Mort's horrible father Rev and evil step monster Char definitely scarred him for life. But as Bailey tells him she didn't do it, so stop punishing her. I found the pregnancy stuff with Christopher and Megan hilarious. He is insanely OTT protective of her and everyone knows it. I can't believe Megan hasn't tried to maim him, yes he's that annoying-sweet but annoying. I kind of want the Johnnie/ Kendall saga over now. It has run its course and it's either sink or swim John Boy.

It was good to learn more about Mortician, who since the first book had always been the sort counselor of the group. He's always been the calm one so seeing him loose his cool over Bailey. I loved her she was very different from the other women in the group, she was calm, cool and collected. Her and Mortician really loved each other but it was so frustrating that he kept letting his past get in the way of their relationship and that stupid bet. His father and Charlemagne were just as evil as Logan. I was so shocked by Digger's betrayal but i get that he did it to protect his brother. It was so great to see Outlaw like always, i just love him. I can't believe Johnny went off the deep end over Kendall, what a disappointment. But i'm so glad Mortician and Bailey got their happy ending and had Harley. Outlaw needs one more book.

Morticians story - loved every second of it! Bailey Andrews is the daughter of KP one of the members of the MC so she understands how life there works. Mortician made a bet with some of the other club members that he wouldn't fall in love with "young pussy" like Outlaw had. With 20G's on the line Mortician spends almost the entire book battling his feelings for Bailey because he can't accept losing the bet. He ends up going on a run and slips up and asks Bailey to go with him. He becomes very drunk and winds up marrying her - he still manages to hide his feelings for her from the club though.

I love that even after everything that's been revealed so far in the series the author still manages to drop a surprising bomb shell on us in this one. It's probably my favorite book in the series so far. Highly recommended!

A 5 Star Rating
Let me start by saying that I absolutely adore Kathryn with all my heart she is an amazing woman and writer. Clearly with that being said I loved every second of this book. I was super excited to get my hands on Mort and Bailey's book and it didn't disappoint for a second. Kathryn wrote this book beautifully I have no clue where she comes up with this stuff but I'm so happy she does. Every book in this series has been absolutely amazing and this one was no different. I honestly hope we just get some new probates and this series continues forever lol. I am so not ready for the end of this series and I cannot wait to read what's next.

This book unveiled more secrets and truths! Mortician must overcome his past before he loses his future! Bailey is so sweet and patient but will she stick it out or say enough is enough, especially after danger finds her! Mortician is usually the one giving advice but he needs to take his own advice before its to late. Such heartache aand betrayal in this book. Then we have Johnnie who is devasted because of Kendall and he is falling apart, will he find his way back to Kendall? Then we have Digger, why did he betray his brother? Will he survive his betrayal? Who will be left standing when its over? I need more and can't wait to see what happens next!

This is my favorite MC book series and it had to work hard to become that since I read a lot of great authors. It has everything you could ask for in a great MC series. There is a lot of action, drama, twist and surprises waiting for you. I never tell you what happens in the book in my reviews because I think that spoils it for the reader. But I have to say this. I was so happy Kendall did what she did for herself about time she took a stand. If you like MC books then this series is must read for you. This author has found her groove with this series and she is knocking it out of the park. Rated great
