The Producer's Fake Fiancee: a Hollywood Workplace, Opposites Attract Sweet Romance

Rate this book
Faking we’re engaged could destroy our careers.

He's the mild-mannered producer; I'm his sassy screenwriter.

We sling barbs at each other on every film set.

While our banter is snarky, we respect each other.

He's handsome, accomplished, good-natured, and funny.

When he asked me to pretend to be his fiancée at an elite party,

I thought, “Nice PR move. What could it hurt?”

Forced together, the “respect” merged into “passion”.

And when we kissed, passion morphed into love.

People gasp when they see us holding hands.

And the press hounds us because there is no ring.

Our suspicious lead actress threatens to expose us as fakes.

A jealous control freak, she wants to expand her character in the film.

She wants to rewrite my script and get me fired.

Should she succeed, both our careers will explode.

This is a clean, sweet romance novella. PG with a HEA.

This is a pretty nice story. I like the way it’s written and the premise.

Millie’s perspective feels very omniscient. And getting Price to do his part was like pulling teeth, haha. Although Millie ended up being kind of petty sometimes, too. And then Price again…

It was mostly easy to follow. It has likable characters. I would recommend it, and I look forward to trying more from Roman Ciere.

This was a nice romantic read. The characters were relatable and believable. The storyline was interesting and kept my attention to the end. This is my first book by Roman Ciere that I've read, but it won't be my last.

I hyped this book up to myself. The sad part is, I did not like a lot of this book. Check out the book and see how you like it.
