DAWSON'S life has been filled with bad decisions since the moment his mom walked out of his life. His biggest regret was dating his sister's best friend. However, when she chose to betray him and break his heart, it also broke his relationship with his sister. He promised her he would never cross that line again, but that promise is hanging by a thread when he meets her new friend Bellamy. Will he keep his promise or let his heart win?
BELLAMY gives herself a hard time after so many betrayals from those she loves. She tends to put everyone ahead of herself, she carries the weight of their problems. One night, a moment like that led her to Dawson. After their random night, she assumed she would never see him again until fate brought them together one year later. Will she finally choose herself, or will she walk away from where her heart truly lies?
In the end, the truth reshapes everything for Dawson—he discovers that John isn’t his biological father, and that his mother’s past struggles with addiction hid even deeper secrets. He learns that Nadine isn’t actually his half-sister, and that his real father was his uncle, who has already passed away. It’s a painful unraveling, but it also gives him clarity and a chance at closure. His mom going to rehab and getting clean adds another layer of healing, allowing him to finally begin letting go of the past.
At the same time, Bellamy faces her own emotional hurdles. She makes amends with Nadine, owning the complicated feelings and the tension that came from falling in love with Nadine’s brother. That reconciliation helps repair the fractures within their close-knit group.
With the truth finally out and the past confronted, Dawson and Bellamy find their way back to each other—not out of desperation, but by choice. They choose each other fully, with honesty and understanding, building something real after everything they’ve endured.

Wow! This book had such a good plot that had me wanting more every page I turned. I love the way Bellamy and Dawson slowly fell in love despite of their families opinions. And the plot twist? Wow amazing. I’m intrigued with the other characters as well I can’t wait to read their stories.
I enjoyed this book! The characters were cute and chaotic as well as wanting to scream at them for their actions but at the same time, Bellamy and Dawson challenged each other and grew together despite the hardships they encountered with one another.
I enjoyed the story line, however… I read this book on my kindle. Maybe it was just a bad copy but the number of typos and errors I found while reading completely ruined it for me! I typically am not a picky person, however it seemed like every 2-3 pages had typos.
This is book one in an upcoming series that follows a group of friends. This story is about Dawson and Bellamy and I completely adored it. All in all it’s such a real story that everyone should read!
