When Rain Medici was taken, she never thought in a million years that her captor would be the man of her dreams, but he was.

Dominick Kane kidnapped his enemy's daughter. He had no idea that his victim would be the one woman to capture his empty heart, but she did.

It’s been one full year since the kidnapping that brought Dominick and Rain together. In that time, they struggled with many emotions and fought constant obstacles. They discovered new identities, faced ghosts from their pasts and attacks against their family, that to this day remain unsolved.

Yet, regardless of the unexpected challenges, some self-inflicted, Dominick and Rain always knew that their undying love for each other had gotten them through everything.

But then… the unimaginable happened.

Dominick was arrested.

The charge?

The apparent kidnapping of his wife, Rain Medici.

Now, the couple faced a whole new set of challenges. Challenges that brought their pasts forward once again and others which forced each of them to examine who they really were and what they had become.

Dominick and Rain’s future hung in the balance. They were in the fight of their lives. Would it make them even stronger than before? Or would the delicate threads that held them together…in the end, ultimately pull them apart?

What a wonderful ending to Cleo Scornavacca’s amazing Miss Taken/Identity Series.

I loved that we got to see both Rain and Dominic grow into their roles as parents. It was nice to see them go from flawed and sometimes misguided singles into a loving, married couple whose kids became their life/world. They would stop at nothing to protect them and I like that the author showcased that.

It’s not often in a romance novel that I am brought to tears not because of the hero and heroine but because of the special relationship that Rain shared with her best friend Tommy. I just loved the relationship they shared and I was happy that the author chose to explore that type of platonic relationship between friends where what they share from book 1 through to 3 was a real and genuine friendship.

I loved that we got to see both Dominic and Rain grow as a couple. In the end, they had come full circle and I finally felt in my gut that they would make it as a couple and they would be okay.

Overall thoughts, I love the Miss Taken/Identity Series by Cleo Scornavacca. I thought she did a fantastic job of introducing us to obviously two imperfect people and taking us through their journey where they didn’t end up perfect (None of us are) but managed to find a perfect love in their crazy and imperfect world.

This is the third and final part of this series. I must say that the author’s style of writing has improved over the three books.
This book finally reveals the secrets from Dominick’s past, and Rain develops into a stronger woman. Parts of this story were a little emotional as well.
Overall, this is as enjoyable read, and I that this author brings us more of the secondary characters.
Look forward to reading from this author in the future.

Wow. This was an incredible end of this three books. Reading them all together makes everything more understandable. The togetherness of the family, the bond that keeps everyone safe and together. I did tear up alittle when it came to Tommy and Rain. I was really surprised by Dominic. Although he is dominating in everyway, he did end up capturing a piece of my heart.

Review:
The finale to the breathtaking series that had me continuously guessing what would happen to this duo, Dominick and Rain, comes with so many mixed emotions, I'm still unsure if I'm relieved to see this couple's suffering end- in the sense that finally the ghosts and the many obstacles facing them seemed constant, or if I'm about to start asking for more! Their courtship didn't start the conventional way by any means, Dominick had been out to kidnap his enemy's daughter - only he had taken the wrong twin believing she was Raven in the hopes of getting his revenge for being jilted after his father, who was partner at the girl's father's law firm, had passed away. Although the kidnapping had soon turned into the scene if where t individuals find out that love can develop anywhere and everywhere, they also realize that the balance between control, dominance, submission and having to share their individual pain is and can be a fine line. My emotions were such in turmoil as I read The Tie That Bind - from having to relive the past, feeling sorrow and the pain, the the frustration at having to deal it's the endless issues surrounding the police investigation with the kidnapping of Rain - after her marriage to her kidnapper no less! So many more emotions rolled through me as I read this last instalment of the Miss Taken series, but to name them as would possibly bring me full circle through them all, and suffice it to say that I felt too much and loved every page as it kept me hooked from the beginning to the end. Cleo Scornavacca is an author that I've kept my eye on ever since the first book of the series and I've seen the steps and the development she's gone through, which is such an amazing opportunity.

The third and final part in Rain and Dominick's story, The Ties That Bind was explosive. The authors writing certainly improved across the three books; the flow of the story and the editing issues all seemed to have been resolved in this book.

The first few chapters were told from other characters POV’s , and this really gave a great insight into the characters and helped to develop the story. From the beginning Tommy was my favourite character, and my opinion has not changed, although by the end of this trilogy I found that I have grown to love Michael too, and I'm hoping that the author will give us Tommy's story next!

This book brought everything together, the dark secrets that were still in Dominick's past are all finally revealed and Rain really comes into her own. This book had me going through the emotions. The author has you hanging on right up until about 80% before you finally get all the answers, but it was worth the wait. Although I didn't cry, there is a little part in the book that caused a little lump in my throat, and this particular encounter between Rain and Tommy again near the end was so beautifully written, and really showed the true depths of their bond.

Overall this is a good read, and I hope to read more from the supporting characters, Tommy and Daniel especially.

Firstly I want to say what an amazing series this is Cleo Scornavacca had me hooked from book one so much so that I was up until 3am reading The Ties That Bind as I needed to find out if Dominick and Rain would eventually get their happy ending I'm not going to give anything away as I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone but this series is definitely a must read.

In The Ties That Bind its been a whole year since the kidnapping and Dominick and Rain are together and happy but all that's about to change when Dominick is arrested. Their future together hangs in the balance has they fight against their pasts but are they strong enough to come through it all and finally get their HEA or is it all about to be torn apart.

The Ties That Bind brings full circle the story of Rain and Dominick. The story starts in Miss Taken where Dominick kidnaps Rain to get revenge on her father and his law firm. The story continues in Identity where Dominick and Rain find she is pregnant and they marry. Rain's father is attacked and Rain is attacked. Rain is trying to investigate who is attacking her family. Dominick trying to control rain to keep her safe.

Simply put but the story of Rain and Dominick is very complicated with plot twists and emotions. Cleo Scornavacca writes a love story with a very unusual start. There is a large cast of characters, family, friends and villains. She weaves a story that keeps you guessing and pulls at your emotions.

I look forward to her upcoming books.

In Part 3 of the Miss Taken Series, Rain and Dominick are on a mission to find the people behind the attempted murder of Rain's father Victor as well as the assault on a heavily pregnant Rain that almost cost the lives of her twins as well as her own. Determined to find the culprits, Rain with the help of her friend Tommy will leave no stone unturned. Rain and Dominick are still keeping secrets from each other and both are too stubborn and strong willed to talk to the other which it can only lead to a rollercoaster of a story. Raven and Tommy are still keeping their distance from Michael after their affair. A visitor from Dominick's past brings a whole heap of trouble to their door and Rain finds there are things she still doesn't know about Dominick's past.

If you haven't read Miss Taken and Identity, I highly recommend that you read them before diving into Rain and Dominick's world in this book. First because you really need the background and second because they are fantastic. You need to read about Dom taking Rain and how they fell in love. In this part of their story they are together and happy. Then something happens to turn their world upside down. I really loved these two together. Yes their beginning is a bit unconventional to say the least, but their love story is epic. I loved every bit of it and can't wait to read whatever Cleo writes next.

I give The Ties That Bind 5 hearts!

I read this trilogy one after another so I didn't have the usual frustrating wait. Which I'm really glad about.
I have loved Rain and Dominick but also loved some of the other characters in this story, you hear more about Raven,Tommy and Michael, I would like to hear what happens to Tommy so maybe there'll be a book about him!
The couple continue to have problems throughout this book and Dominick still tries to control everything in Rains life and I love how she defies him in most things and her determination wins in the end. Dominic changes so much through the trilogy which was nice to see.

This book is the third in a trilogy and will not stand alone.

Cleo Scornavacca is a fantastic writer but needs to realise that editors and proof readers aren't a luxury.

The plot on this, the third in the series was gripping. I desperately wanted to know what would happen and the twists were genuinely surprising.

However; the big drawback with the copy I was given was that the spelling and grammar mistakes were on almost every page - and for a self-confessed grammar freak, this made the book feel like really hard work to read.

The repetition of certain words ("smirk" anyone?) made me wonder whether a family as wealthy as these shouldn't just book botox. Or buy a thesaurus.

★★★ MY REVIEW ★★★

My Rating – 5 out of 5 ★★★★★

WOW!! This book was truly amazing. I was wondering what would happen to the characters troughout the story. When it finally happened, I was happy that the story didn’t leave me hanging and all my questions were answered.

I'm glad Cleo brought everything together in this book. Because in this book, the dark secrets of Dominick’s past was finally out in the open (you know Cleo, I still love him), and Rain grew into a very strong woman. Dominick gained a lot in this book, but he was determined to protect Rain even if he still tried to control her. However, Dominick needed more help now than ever.

Also; I was very happy to learn more about Raven, Tommy and Michael in this book. But Raven is having major issues with her health and with what happened between her and Tommy. Raven's issues made me sad. I had mixed feelings during the conflict between Rain and Tommy. This resulted in me getting teary-eyed.

In short; this book was awesome and everything concluded perfectly. I loved it.

Like I always say; Cleo I want to see you on a bestseller list. I want everyone to see the professionalism that you have.

P.S.: Everyone, pick up Cleo's books and read them, I swear that you will not regret it.

If you have not read Miss Taken and Identity, I strongly recommend you to read them. You should read how Dominick and Rain fell in love with each other. Because their love begins with a rather unusual story. And I'm sure you will love them very much.

Rain finally step up taking over her life and one thing you never won't to do is miss around with her family. She takes it personally. After repeatedly told by her dad and husband let them deal with it. She didn't and got everything behind their backs. High five to rain for doing it. She found out who tried to damage her family. After all said and done now they all get happy ending now.
Now it's time for them to move on from all the lies, secrets.

I had been dying to read more of Rain & Dominick's story, so I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to read The Ties That Bind before the masses. In this story, we get to hear from even more of the beloved characters from the first two books, such as Tommy and Raven. They are dealing with the turmoil left unresolved from book two. Rain's voice is so clear in this book and it is evident that she has grown through motherhood. It is also evident that Dominick has grown as well, which pleased me since I have always had a love/hate relationship with his character. I enjoyed being able to hear from Raven. She was very candid in chapter 3. Her character is complex and conflicted, which makes for great reading. As more of Dominick's past resurfaces and Rain works to solve the mystery of her and her father's assault, I felt such feelings of suspicion for so many of the parties involved. That was fantastic writing on Scornavacca's part because she kept me on-edge for so much of the book. The book's conclusion left me satisfied and content. Rain and Tommy's discussion at the end left my eyes a little misty. They have always been so beautiful together. I am very much looking forward to Tommy's story. All in all, I loved The Ties That Bind and felt a variety of feelings throughout the whole story. I love books that make me go through a range of emotions. These characters and their stories will always have a place in my heart.

Title: The Ties That Bind
Author: Cleo Scornavacca
Series: Miss Taken Identity #3
Genre: romance
Rating: *

I can clearly see that I am in the minority here but I just did not get on with this series. The lives of these characters are full to the brim of drama and angst, much of which does nothing to advance the plot but only serves to complicate it further. Rain and Dominick’s relationship has developed since the first instalment, but it seems that rather than developing into strength, it has developed through lies and deceit, and copious amounts of forgiveness and bickering, and just seems toxic to me. I’m all for an alpha but Dominick is the most petulant, controlling prick I’ve ever read about, and Rain is about as useful and feisty as a wet paper bag (though she clearly has the patience of a saint).

More than anything, this was a very, very long read, especially for a romance book. But this was not due to plot, rather because the characters are repeating every single occurrence to multiple characters at different times, and it really does feel like we are being told (repeatedly), not shown, what is going on.

I’m glad these characters finally have their happily ever after; honestly, they deserve each other, especially after everything they have been through! Fans of the series will be satisfied with this ending.

The conclusion of the story between Raine and Dominic. Secrets are revealed and the story tied up all the lose ends from the first 2 books.
Although the writing the grammar and editing issues improved, Dominic's characters came off as a bit of an idiot.

REVIEW

This book finds us a year later, two babies and just as much hurt and turmoil as always. Raven is having major issues with her health and with what happened between her and Tommy. Focusing on the culprit or culprits responsible for hurting her and her father Rain is more determined than ever to put them behind bars or six feet under. Dominick has grown a lot in this book but he is still very dominate and determined to protect his wife but now he finds himself needing her help more than ever. I had a few moments throughout the book where I was like WOW I was so not expecting that.

I can tell how much the author has grown in her writing with this book. There are grammar issues in this book but the story itself is what I am rating.

I was gifted this book for my honest review.
