It’s only her first day on the new job, and already fairy Holly Tucket is in over her head as she attempts to use her powers to turn super nerd Alex Nelson into a ladykiller. Little does she know Alex isn’t who he pretends to be, and when it comes to making women melt, he doesn’t need any help.
Security expert Alex Nichlaus has been undercover for four months and is putting the finishing touches on a smuggling case that has kept him secluded and celibate. When a sexy redhead shows up on his balcony claiming to be a fairy sent to teach him how to please a woman, he just can’t bring himself to send her away.
Chloe Cole is the New York Times bestselling author of steamy paranormal romance novels and one half of the happiest couple in the world. She and her handsome hubby currently reside in Pennsylvania with a four-pack of teenage boys and their two dogs, Gimli and Pug. When she isn't acting as maid, chef, chauffeur, or therapist, she can be found reading just about anything she can get her hands on, from Young Adult novels to books on poker theory. She hates bugs (except ladybugs, on account of their cute outfits), but lurrves chocolate. She also loves writing steamy romance stories, but also hopes to one day publish something her dad can read without wanting to poke his eyes out with sharp sticks. If she had to pick another occupation, she would be a pirate. Or, like, a ninja maybe. Oooh, or a Gryffendor!
Great synopsis (...she attempts to use her powers to turn super-nerd Alex Nelson into a ladykiller. Little does she know Alex isn’t who he pretends to be...). I wanted more nerd play-acting. I was a bit disappointed because the story didn't deliver what I had started to imagine in my mind. But in the end, the story was kinda cute with hot sex and kept me engaged better than some higher-rated stories of late. Sooooo thumbs up.
Short story with fairies. A successful tooth fairy is pushed to become a "naughty godmother". Her first time, she ends up & falls in love. Cute, fluffy & short. Reminds me of a Lori Foster if she wrote about fairies ;)
Forget magic wands and grey-haired buns, these Naughty Godmothers come in stilettos and thongs. Inept at dealing with women? Uncomfortable in your own skin? Not to worry! Your very own Naughty Godmother is here to teach you all you need to know.
It is always amusing when fairies are portrayed as calculating and political rather than the light and airy playful creatures they are so often taken for. With these Fairies, like in politics, the higher up you are, the more authority you have, the more calculating you become. Fairy Queen Lucieene is no exception. Even though you never meet Fairy Queen Lucieene in this story, her presence is felt through out the entire book. Holly would have never even considered being a Naughty Godmother if it wasn't for her mother's (Queen Lucieene) influence. Although it might seem to be a strange career choice for a mother to want her daughter to take, being a Naughty Godmother is much more prestigious than being a Tooth Fairy.
Holly's just been given a promotion, albeit not one that she particularly wants. But she tackles her new job the way she handles everything else in her life, with a wry sense of humor, a determination to do her best, and a sincere desire to help people. So with her friend Mila's words of wisdom ringing in her ears, "Color coordinate, emphasize your assets, and never leave home without your stilettos and a thong", Holly attacks her first job as a Naughty Godmother with a charming gracelessness and a complete lack of guile. From start to finish Holly does pretty much everything wrong, beginning with picking out a man that needs no help in the women department and ending with breaking the most cardinal of all Naughty Godmother Rules: Never sleep with the client. It's a true delight watching Holly bumble and stumble her way through teaching Alex the art of pleasuring a woman, all the while watching Alex stumble along in his attempts not to show Holly exactly how much he already knows about the subject.
I really like how Holly and Mila's friendship is portrayed, I only wish you got to see more of it. However, the two women complement each other very well, Mila being brash and bold where Holly is a bit more like the "girl next door." It is so very easy to imagine all sorts of trouble that these two get into. I don't want to give anything away but I have to say that Mila's influence at a very pivotal moment is priceless, it is the perfect combination of her love for Holly and her wicked sense of humor.
Alex doesn't quite know what's going on when Holly quite literally falls into his arms after appearing from nowhere. Not one to believe in fairies and magic, he's sure this is some elaborate practical joke that his colleagues are playing on him, but after getting a glimpse of Holly in her thong, it's a practical joke he is more than willing to play along with. Being deep undercover and not having had sex for the last four months helps him cement Holly's opinion that he is inept at dealing with women. This all works out well until the truth comes out, as it always does, leaving Alex bewildered at the existence of fairies and Holly hurt that he lied to her.
Alex is a great guy if a bit literal at times, but that is what makes him so good at his job. Undercover work is hard especially when you have to stay in character for such a long time. So it was very entertaining to see his internal monologue, warring with himself, going back and forth between what he wanted to do and what his character would/should do. You have to admire a guy for being able to maintain his cover when faced with the likes of Holly in her thong. The only thing that seemed really out of character for Alex were some of his emotional outburst after the truth came out. We all hate for men to be premature, either in the bedroom or out, while Alex usually doesn't have a problem with the former there is at least one instance when he has a problem with the latter. Again I don't want to give anything away but I will say that some things are better if you wait.
Naughty Godmother is a cute and sexy story that will make sure you never look at a Fairy Godmother in the same way again. This unique twist to the traditional fairy tale brings a new meaning to Happily Ever After.
Holly Tucket was very happy as a tooth fairy, but you can’t say no to the queen when she decides it’s time to promote you, so Holly is now officially a Naughty Godmother. It’s her job to help hapless nerds become the kind of men women drool over. Her first assignment is Alex Nelson, a geek who definitely needs to get laid. There’s just one little thing Holly doesn’t know…
Alex Nelson is really undercover security expert Alex Nichlaus, and he needs no help whatsoever in the sex department, other than the fact that his cover has kept him celibate for months. He’s almost finished with the assignment when Holly lands on his balcony. Alex is sure the whole “Naughty Godmother” bit is a joke orchestrated by two of his co-workers, but Holly’s too tempting to send away. Can he keep up the ruse that he needs her sensual guidance? And how far will this woman claiming to be a fairy take her “assignment”?
Naughty Godmother is a wicked little fairy tale that sizzles. Chloe Cole keeps things fast and fun as Alex and Holly heat up the page. The obstacles in Naughty Godmother are created by the characters themselves, as Alex doesn’t believe in the supernatural and thinks Holly’s making the “being a fairy” bit up while Holly, in turn, isn’t aware that her charge needs no help in the sex department. Holly’s awkwardness endeared her to me and the dash of comedy said awkwardness caused mixed in well with the story’s erotic nature. It was easy to root for Alex and Holly’s romance and that kept me eagerly reading Naughty Godmother. All in all, I enjoyed Naughty Godmother and look forward to reading more of Ms. Cole’s work.
In the Naughty Godmother by Chloe Cole, Holly Tucket wants to move up in the Fairy realm from Tooth Fairy to a Naughty Fairy Godmother. Fairy Godmothers assist in turning nerdy, geeky sexually uncertain men into confident sexy alpha men. Holly’s first assignment/test to prove her worth as a Fairy Godmother is to help Alex Nelson. Alex is a first-class, awkward geek who is uncomfortable around the opposite sex. Holly must transform Alex into a successful seducer of women in 24 hours in order for her to pass her test.
This short story offers quite a few amusing scenes where you will find yourself giggling out loud. The next moment you will be caught up in a meaningfully seductive moment of intense feeling and lust. Ms. Chole has an enchanting ability to make a short, erotic anecdote into a story that is playful and yet, salaciously unforgettable. This will be an erotic story you will want to keep by your bedside to read when you need a pick-me up after a tough day at the office.
Sexy, funny and endearing. When is a promotion not such a good idea? If you are an under fairy promoted to temporary sex goddess. Especially if you aren't at all confident. New job title--turn geeky guy into hot dude. Should be okay, she's new but he's inexperienced all should work out fine.
Oops, he's not so inexperienced. He's undercover and when she shows up he wants to get her under the covers. Can he keep his secret to reap the rewards of her training program? And will she get under his armor as well?
If she finds out the truth where does that leave them?
This is a short but fun read. Their chemistry is hot tub steamy and the misunderstanding fly. Under it all they are fun characters in a hilarious situation. I have to read more of this series. Ms Cole has me hooked.
Such a cute, sexy fairy tale. She moves up from a tooth fairy to be a naughty godmother helping those weak geeks become sexy God like men no longer afraid of men. Her pick is what she thinks is the geekiest of them all. Little does she know, he is actually on an assignment, only appearing to be the geek. He is actually a hot blooded sexy God in hiding. So he believes her to be setting him up by his friends and not the naughty godmother she is saying she is. Naturally, it is a funny tale and it is an amazing happy ending. LOVED IT!
This story is definitely Erotica, but in the best sense- not porn. The story is fun and amusing with several “laugh out loud” areas. Chloe Cole has an interesting outlook on fairies and an entertaining way to say it. This book is going on my reread shelf for when I am in the mood for a good laugh and a great story!
I loved the way this was written. You could realize how they could each make the mistakes they did. The way it all gets worked out was really cute too.
Men would be pulling out their teeth by the hand full if they had this fairy as a tooth fairy. Rey sweet and sexy book, with lots of love, humor and hot, steamy sex.
