What a debut novel from S.Kline! I was given a copy for an honest review.
I've read quite a few 'bad boy' books but I have to say I'm left with a healthy hangover after reading Troy. This guy is my perfect bad boy. Hard and cold to the outside world but so loving and protective with the people he cares for. I loved that he'd always loved Kace but picked the wrong girl because the alternative to love was easy, it's typical of a guy growing up to do this. I love that he felt so in control in all things but Kace. I really liked his relationship with Dylan, Sean and the firm. You really got the sense of what it would be like to be part of this underground world of illegal activity.
I really warmed to Kace, she was easy to relate to and the fact she had always wanted Troy too just had you rooting for this couple so hard.
The setting and plot were great and really well thought out. I never saw the ending coming so the lack of transparency in how this book would end was a definite bonus for me.
The book was well edited, I spotted only a few grammatical errors. It has an attractive cover and on the whole is a well presented book. For a first time novel it's better than most I've read in the past.
Needless to say I've jumped straight into Dylan and am devouring his and Raven's story. Stephanie has definitely got a new fan in me.

PERFECT COMBINATION OF MAFIA grittiness and explosive romance. I did not know what to expect going into this book. As with all new to me authors, I went into reading this with a little bit of trepidation. I can tell you without a doubt that it was completely unfounded. This book was a fantastic read. I was gripped from the first page to the last.
At the tender age of 7, Troy Donovan’s world was shattered when his mother was murdered in cold blood. As an adult he is haunted by the tragedy and is on a mission to avenge his mother’s murder. He has always known his destiny is within the Fianna Fail, and has lived life large within the organisation. His role within the organisation has brought him respect, loyalty and an unlimited supply of women falling at his feet. All except the one that he has he wanted almost his entire life – Kaci Quin.
Kaci thought that at age 12 she had found THE ONE in Troy. That was until she caught him making out with her cousin and her dreams were shattered into a million pieces. From that moment on she vowed that she would not fall for Troy’s charms and give into the desire which has been building steadily over the years. She will not be another notch on his bed post.
But life has other plans for the pair. Circumstance and duty to the “family” has thrown them together. Can Kaci & Troy ignore the explosive undercurrents of their desire for each other? Can their attraction be more than just lust and possibly the HEA they are both craving? Can they overcome all of the obstacles that they face? Their journey is not an easy one, but worth reading.
The build up of sexual tension between these characters was off the chart. You cannot help but be drawn into the emotion of both Troy & Kaci as they circle around each other in whirls of lust and temptation. You can literally feel the emotions between the pair as they get drawn into each other.
On the surface, Troy is your typical arrogant, self-centred alpha male within a crime family. His exterior is tough and he leaves his emotions out of his encounters with females. But the one thing that you can’t take away from him is that if you are in his inner circle, he is loyal to you without hesitation. The hold that Kaci has on Troy is undeniable. Even before they get together, you get a glimpse that Troy is highly affected by her.
“I will be the first person to tell you that I have a huge ego, but this girl? She could crush it in her tiny palm with just one look.”
I absolutely love when a man is knocked off kilter by the one woman that his heart cannot deny. When he no longer had to deny his feelings for Kaci Troy was willing to show that he was made vulnerable by her presence in his life.
“You fucking posses me, Kace.”
Kaci tries to maintain the facade that she does not want Troy. She does everything in her power to radiate that she is not interested in the man who has held her attention and desire for more years than he should. She is has become strong and sassy because of circumstance but throughout the book you can feel how she doesn’t believe she will ever be enough.
When the two finally come together, it is off the charts. S Kline makes you feel every emotion that they experience. The angst and tension throughout the book is undeniable and keeps you wanting more. The sexual chemistry was raging hot and the steamy scenes raised the temperature to heatwave.
I am a firm believer in spoiler free reviews, but the twists and turns that this book delivered had me in suspense many times. There were times in the plot that I wasn’t expecting what happened and this kept my intrigued for the entire book to see what happened next.
S Kline also did an awesome job of investing you in the secondary characters in this novel, who will be the leading men in her upcoming books. I loved Dylan and can’t wait to read his book. He was so relatable.
I have no hesitation in recommending this book to any one that enjoys the violent undercurrents of a mafia themed story with the steamy elements of a romance. It was hard to believe that this was a debut. I am excited to read the next books as I can only imagine the growth of S Kline’s writing. I am well and truly committed and loyal to the Fianna Fail.

Troy: Fianna fail: Soldiers of Destiny
Wow what a massive unexpected surprise this book was. I had no idea what to expect when I started this book. I had never read a book by the author before so I wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't expect all the twists, murder, suspense and as well as that a fantastic love story. This is one of the best Mafia stories I have read in a long time because of all that.
Troy has had a really bad childhood. His mother was murdered and his father is in prison. Since his dad is in prison Troy has taken his dads place along side his dads friends in the Mafia. Troy desperately wants revenge for his mothers murder and will do anything to get the revenge for her. Troy is a serious player. He will sleep with anything and anyone to stop him thinking of the one girl he's always loved and wanted since he was 12 years of, but has known he can never be with....Kaci.
Kaci is the daughter of one of the men in the Mafia with Troy. She has known Troy along time and feel in love with Troy at a young age. Unfortunately for Kaci she was left heartbroken at 12years old by Troy and decided then to never give her heart away again. Kaci is slowly being bought in to the Mafia world because of her dad. Troy and Kaci need to go to the same place to sort some things for the Mafia, because they are going to the same place they have to go on the road trip together....this is when the story takes a huge twist and gets very interesting.
I found the beginning of the story quite slow and it did take me a few chapters to get really in to the book and figure out everything that was happening, but once I figured everything out the story really took off and I never looked back. There was so much drama and information to take in that I couldn't stop reading. I wanted to know more and more.
Troy and Kaci obviously have a connection and are finding it hard to not take things further. Both characters are very hardened because of the life they have had. The author wrote about both characters very well and were developed brilliantly. I loved Troy even though he was a man whore and he's life has basically been the Mafia. That's all he's really known. I can completely understand why he wants revenge for his mother death though and why he would do anything to avenge her death. I loved that you could see Troy loved Kaci but their lives are so complicated it made loving each other complicated.
So much happened throughout this book, that you defiantly get your monies worth. It's action paced from the start right to the end. I found myself on the edge of my seat desperate to know more and how the story was going to end up. The twists and turns we're very unexpected. I literally had know idea what was going to happen from one page to the next. The whole story was fascinating and defiantly not predictable. The story was wrote brilliantly and flowed so smoothly. I'm really looking forward to Dylan's story next to see what happens.

Troy: Fianna Fail By S.Kline - Reviewed by Klaire Sutherland
I'm understanding that this is S.Kline's debut (please correct me if I'm wrong), and it's a very good one at that. Here we have a story that has been written many a time, it's probably a story that never gets old. What sets a story like this apart from others is the delivery and for me, the writing style. The twists must be different, the exhileration, the emotions must be more than what you have previously read in a book with a similar story. I find many are quite juvenile and the language doesn't match with the environment of the book but not here. I don't quite think I have just read a 5 star book although it's darn near close.
Welcome to Troy's world of fighting, sex, drugs and looking for revenge for his mother's murder. His father is in prison, for crimes associated with the "family" and he has been in love with one girl since he was 12 years old. He finds himself in a dilemma when his best friend tells him something that he knows will destroy what ever chance he might have slimly had with Kaci. She has been in love with Troy since she first set eyes on him when she was a young girl and has studiously sat on the sidelines and watched the man whore that is Troy mess around with her cousin Addie and every other woman to catch his eye.
At first it felt like the male characters in this book were mere boys trying to play the role of men, it seemed a little immature and silly but this soon changes and when put into the difficult situations they are they soon step up to the plate and redeem themselves. There's a lot of soul searching for both main characters and some quite heavy inner dialogues, especially from Troy, scattered throughout. Troy's emotions contradict his hard assed persona and you find yourself really feeling for his turmoil on more than one occasion, it tugs at you, and at some points it's so freaking sad :( Kaci doesn't fair much better and you end up with a case of misunderstandings, and unsurmountable obstacles that throw them into a spin. The action really takes off in the last third of the ook and there are one or two surprising twists, even if I did kind of see them coming. You get an inkling of who the good and bad guys are, quite clever. What is apparent here in this book is that these men love hard! That I liked.
For me the repetition of some things throughout the book doesn't sit well with me, I find it unneeded at times and a cause for skipping (I didn't but others might) This was the case here but it wasn't so bad, maybe two or three instances, that I can cope with. I liked this book, it was fast paced, had a different elements to the storyline that made in more interesting, and it became a page turner for me. Some emotional moments there to keep you on your toes too. Would definitely recommend and am eagerly awaiting Dylan! 4 star read for me :)

I love when a book takes a turn towards the intense and what used to be an average story ends up being a nail biting, white knuckle experience. This is what I found with Troy: Fianna Fail. The author gave us a love story, murder, suspense and drama all rolled up in a novel that isn’t over yet.
Troy’s mother was killed when he was younger and his father is in prison now. He has taken his rightful place in the mafia organization along with his dad’s friends. Ronan and Ardon. Part of the Fianna Fail is a brothel called Clovers, which every member of the mafia family will have a clover tattoo. I think this will be important to remember as we go through this whole series. Troy fell in love with Kaci, the daughter of Ronan when he was 12 years old. She has been the one woman that his heart desires and she was also the one woman who outwardly rejected his attention. She has a reason for not wanting to fall for him, other than the fact he sleeps with every woman he wants, she witnessed him with her cousin Addie, who is Ardon’s daughter, back when they were teenagers and she knows she deserves better than what she saw in Troy.
Kaci is being brought into the mafia by her dad slowly. Given jobs that primarily deal with the brothel she is dispatched to go find a woman and bring her into the operation, but she isn’t allowed to go alone. Since Troy was going to the same place to gather information about who killed his mother they are sent together by the two leaders of the group. Shortly before Troy was to go, Addie gave him some shocking news that destroyed his way of looking at the future. Knowing if this news gets out any last chance at having a life with Kaci would be gone; he keeps this from her for as long as he can.
This is the premise that starts the twists and turns that will leave you speechless. I will admit the beginning of the book was slow and felt more repetitive than captivating, I see now why we had to have this information. As soon as the drama hit there was no time to explain. This author had me reeling with what was going on and how smoothly she planned it all out. I was so in love with Troy and Kaci by the end of the book. So what I am saying is if you find it starting to lag in the first half, DON’T GIVE UP, you will cheat yourself of an epic ride.
Get your copy now and be ready for Dylan’s story next. The author gave us a host of very interesting characters that have no fear in protecting what is theirs and after the way book one ended I can hardly wait to see what is going to happen next.

This is the first book in a new series, Fianna Fáil: Soldiers of Destiny and lets just say I'm hooked. We meet and array of rough characters and get an idea about how this organization is run. Troy is a son of one of the three leaders, making him next in line to become one of the men in charge. His life is filled with drugs, sex, alcohol, and looking for answers behind his mother's murder. Troy grew up in this life and it changes people, he has killed and been shot at more times than his young years care to remember. But the one thing that has been a ray of sunshine in his otherwise gloomy life is Kaci Quinn.
Kaci is the daughter of one of the leaders of the Fianna Fáil and she too has grown up around the life. Despite her upbringing she has managed to remain pure or heart. She does what she is told and her father is insistent to become more involved in the business. Much of her life revolves around the dark and shady side of things but this is not what she wants her end game to be. She wants love and fences and 2.5 kids and since she was a young girl she has wanted that with none other than Troy Donovan.
This books is gritty, sexy and not for the faint of heart.
"You have to stop or I'm going to fuck you, and trust me, you won't be quiet. I will fuck you so hard you'll be begging me as loud as you can to get off. You fucking possess me, Kace."
It is also an emotional roller-coaster. There are ups and downs, second guessing, lying, soul searching and nail biting action. Troy finds his way into my soul and breaks it.
"I love her. The thought is both cathartic and soul-shattering. I've fucked up everything. This is the woman I should be sharing my life with. I feel a warm tear roll down my cheek as I look into the face of what my future should be. A future that hate has cruelly allowed me to experience only to have it painfully yanked away."
I liked this story and I was eager to find out how things were going to end because I knew that something devastating was going to happen. Troy is closer than ever to uncovering the mystery behind his mother's murder but the betrayals go way deeper than anyone expected.

When Kaci and Troy ar thrown together in an out of town trip for Troy to prove himself and avenge his mother's murder, things come to a head. Will they finally give in, or does fate have other plans?
These characters are BAAAAAAAD and they know it. Neither make any apology for that and so they shouldn't. They are both part of an organisation that deals in drug dealing and prostitution. They know all about it. These are not innocents by any stretch of the word.
Troy and Kaci are hot for each other. That is crystal clear right from the start. Its only a matter of time, right?? WRONG! Its a way into the book before they get their act together, half way almost. I loved being made to wait! Its only after a life threatening incident that they both give in and its explosive, hot and heavy, both physically AND emotionally, especially for Troy.
Troy is a self professed man whore. But Kaci has always been on his mind, whoever he was with and actually getting with Kaci is, quite literally, a revelation for him.

This story is great it has a little bit of everything. You have romance, sex, drugs, and violence. Troy has been in love with Kaci since he first saw her when he was 12 years old. He doesn’t think she feels the same way, in fact he thinks she hates him. Kaci has seen the way Troy is and doesn’t want to be another one night stand so she keeps her distance despite how she feels about him. Troy is next in line to help head the family, his job in the organization is the take care of the fights. He gets drunk and high and has sex. He is all ways careful to the point of being obsessive; he doesn’t want to get anyone pregnant. Then you have Addie, Kaci’s cousin she wants something more with Troy and he doesn’t so what’s a girl to do. Fake a pregnancy of course. Troy is on a mission to find out who killed is mother and get justice for her. I love Troy’s character. He is strong, loyal, loves with all his heart. He would willing die for those he loves. Addie is a little crazy. She is constantly calling Troy and bugging him and that was before things get interesting. She is obsessed with Troy. Kaci is one the heads of the family’s daughter. She is loyal and her father wants her more involved in the family business. She has a secret fantasy where she runs away from the life. She knows it’s not possible but a girl can dream. This book had great characters. The story flowed really well. I got totally sucked into the story and didn’t want to put the book down. I am excited to read the next book in this series and find out more about the characters. All the characters in this book are loyal and would do anything for each other.

I think I'm probably being a bit harsh with this review but then again I haven't been left with the warm and fuzzies about it either.
I adore all the characters in this book. There's a sense of reality about them.
I enjoyed the story line. The plot has plenty going for it.
There's enough of all the classic must haves to keep you reading; love, friendship, drama, suspense, sex, fighting, blood loss, twists and turns.
I have an issue with some of the things that happen...the hospitalisation issue is one major confusion for me but also, I just don't get how Troy isn't more messed up than he actually is! Seriously, all that shit happens in your life from such a young age and you're still relatively normal?!
I am going straight on to Dylan, I really liked his character and am looking forward to his story.
This was a good attempt at a debut novel and I look forward to seeing how her writing grows.

This is the first time reading a novel by this author but not the last and I'm looking to read more.This is an awesome story full of secrecy, mystery and drama which starts at the beginning of the story until the very end. The author writing definitely have a unique and smooth style which full of grace and confidence.
The beginning was little a confused at first as to how all of the characters were connected but it all came together and I could not put it down! This story is full of bad boys, grit, truth, hurt, intensity, want, desire, so much more wrapped in one. Troy is your typical arrogant, self-centred alpha male within a crime family. Kaci , a daughter if one of the head leader is attracted to Troy but she will not let him know that, mainly because Troy can and does have any woman he wants. I love the bond between the supporting characters such as Dylan, who was hilarious and looking forward to reading his story.

But Troy has eyes and the heart for just one woman. Will she comply to his advances in the end? or leave him high and dry.
Brilliant book with stunning characters. Though most of the book had me reading for hours, other parts, unfortunately, had me sighing as I feel it went on a bit...but only in patches. It's beautifully written and the suspense is a sure killer. Am definitely looking forward to reading Dylan.
Aimed at mature audiences of 18+ with a lot of HOT sexual content and violence.

Troy is a young Mafia leader destined to take over from the current Boss'. He is savvy, brutal and sexy although he does have a few issues. His mum was murdered, his dad is in jail and a girl he had a fling with is pregnant. Worst part, its not the girl who he has been in love with since he was 15.
Things happen quick in this book, the action, the drugs and the parties. It kind of reminded me of a side show to Sons of Anarchy, bonus for me. It has the same sex appeal, similar brutality and energy. It is not for the faint hearted but it does make for an action packed read. There are a few complications that Troy and his mob brothers need to settle.
I would recommend this book if you are into romantic mysteries.

One of the reasons I sign up for blog tours is to read books Id normally have not read and find authors Id not have known about before. S. Kline is an example of this. What a brilliant read.
Troy has everything he wants to except the girl he wants. Since he's met Kaci when she was twelve he has has had feelings for her. The feeling is mutual. However they both don't realise each other's feelings so Troy plays the field and Kaci stays quiet. But what happens when fate brings them together?
Really good storyline. I read this in a day. I thought it was a fast paced story but heck when I got to about eighty per cent I was on the edge of my seat. So happy I got book two sitting on my kindle waiting for me to jump in.

This book is in multiple points of view. At first I thought Troy was an ass. The definition of man whore. Even though he has no problem sleeping with pretty much anyone, no one comes close to the person he actually wants, Kaci, who won't give into him. Kaci also has strong feelings for Troy but of course doesn't trust him enough to act on those feelings.
Kaci is a strong girl and very defiant especially with Troy. Once these two let their walls come down, this is one hot and intense story. Leaves off with kind of a cliffhanger.

I was given this book for an honest review, this was the first book i have ever read that had to do with the mafia and s. Kline did not disappoint, i was hooked from the first chapter and i couldn't put it down, i think it was very well written and had a great story,i cant really say anything bad about it, i just recommended it to a friend of mine ;) i cant wait to read more from s. Loved this book!!!! Troy is the bad boy mafia guy with an extremely hard exterior and only one girl can get inside to his soft side. Kaci has watched Troy hop from one girl to the next and scared of being another notch on his bedpost.
This was a really great angsty, sexy read about true love in the midst of violence and a murder mystery. Beautifully written, definite must read!

Excellent 1st book
I was kinda Leary on this book being not many people reviewed. Also first book by S. Kline, but I can say after hearing mafia I was in. I really liked this book. Troy was all kinds of hot. Plot went along smoothly with some surprises along the way. Few typos, nothing major. I'll look forward to reading book two.

What a great book! Troy wants Kaci but is convinced she wants nothing to do with him. Little does Troy know that the feeling is mutual. They each have business to take care of in the same town so they are sent out together....what happens next will leave you falling in love with these characters. Loved the characters, loved the storyline and cant wait to read the next installment (Dylan).

Troy would put his playboy ways to the side if Kasey gave him the chance. Growing up in the mob organization has hardened them both, but when these two come together they make the reader beg for a happy ending. Troy is a great read and brings a twist you will never see coming.

As does this well written story of childhood love from afar and the path walked to find one another. In this debut novel we are introduced to Fianna Fail, The Family that owns Palms, Florida. They are organised crime untouchables that run drugs, whores and everything in between. We meet the young guns Troy, Dylan and Ethan who are the successors to the family empire and have been raised as such from a young age. They are respected and feared in equal measure with no shortage of money or woman at their disposal.
We meet Troy as he visits his father in jail and we learn about the mark of the Family, a small green clover that is a symbol of loyalty and belonging. Instantly we are drawn in to a story of intrigue and suspense as Troy battles to uncover who murdered his mother when he was but a little boy. He recounts through memories and dreams the devastating events of his childhood and the things he has witnessed but also we appreciate his strong moral code. There are no shades of grey just black and white - no hurting women or children ever. He is reckless with his love life and a total jackass as he believes wrongly that his love is unrequited, even sleeping on an off/on basis with Addi who is Kaci's cousin! But have I mentioned he is ripped and packing...and not just a smoking gun either. Troy is the complete arrogant, totally gorgeous, alpha male package.
Kaci is the only daughter of Ronan Quinn, one of the heads of The Family. Meeting Troy aged 12 has ruined for all other men as only he has ever made her face flame with heat and cause her to be so aware of herself as a woman. Believing Troy doesn't see her that way as he carelessly works his way through any woman on offer, she tries to avoid him at all costs until her father pairs them up to get her more involved in the business. Will they get the chance to explore their feelings or will the past catch up to them?!?! You need to read it to find out I guarantee you won't be disappointed. I am now away to delve straight in to Dylan's story with his goofy grin and clever mind he has also captured my interest! Not to be greedy but I'm hoping Sean features too ;)

As does this well written story of childhood love from afar and the path walked to find one another. In this debut novel we are introduced to Fianna Fail, The Family that owns Palms, Florida. They are organised crime untouchables that run drugs, whores and everything in between. We meet the young guns Troy, Dylan and Ethan who are the successors to the family empire and have been raised as such from a young age. They are respected and feared in equal measure with no shortage of money or woman at their disposal.
We meet Troy as he visits his father in jail and we learn about the mark of the Family, a small green clover that is a symbol of loyalty and belonging. Instantly we are drawn in to a story of intrigue and suspense as Troy battles to uncover who murdered his mother when he was but a little boy. He recounts through memories and dreams the devastating events of his childhood and the things he has witnessed but also we appreciate his strong moral code. There are no shades of grey just black and white - no hurting women or children ever. He is reckless with his love life and a total jackass as he believes wrongly that his love is unrequited, even sleeping on an off/on basis with Addi who is Kaci's cousin! But have I mentioned he is ripped and packing...and not just a smoking gun either. Troy is the complete arrogant, totally gorgeous, alpha male package.
Kaci is the only daughter of Ronan Quinn, one of the heads of The Family. Meeting Troy aged 12 has ruined for all other men as only he has ever made her face flame with heat and cause her to be so aware of herself as a woman. Believing Troy doesn't see her that way as he carelessly works his way through any woman on offer, she tries to avoid him at all costs until her father pairs them up to get her more involved in the business. Although she is a spoilt mob princess we see that she is a sassy lady that can handle herself as she drug runs and deals with the Madame at their whore house.
